Taking the COWBOYS here. Cassel sure wasn't the king of the Meadowlands last week tossing INTs on 3 straight possessions. But there was Dallas, right in it to the bitter end where their final turnover officially ended any chance for a comeback. The run game is good. The OL is the best in the league. Maybe Dez plays. A game under his belt will only help Cassel. But why I really like this game is because of Seattle. Their weakness plays right into the Cowboys strength. Which is, Dallas can get some pressure and play solid defense. You can say Seattle has the better defense, but it sure hasn't shown up for an entire game yet. Ok. They have revenge from last year where Dallas totally dominated them. The Dallas D is better and the OL can still force themselves on you. I am sure everyone is saying to themselves, No way Seattle doesn't win by at least a touchdown! 4* Money Maker DALLAS COWBOYS 

Taking the JETS here. We probably should have grabbed these guys early in the week at -1 but I waited to see where the smart-money was moving. And it on the NYJ. Look. Jets played a tough one last week. And they did lose on a last second penalty. But let's be honest. Down 10 and getting a FG 18 seconds left isn't a heart breaking, last second, soul crushing loss. This game was 23-20 NE before Brady iced it with a TD pass to Gronk with over a minute left. Now, I like Carr. But he isn't Brady. And even though Oakland is improved and ambushed SD on the road, I do not like them in this spot. This isn't Rexy's Jets. The new regime is much more business like. FitzMagic won't be missing meetings to watch TeleTubby movies like a previous QB here. I will gladly take this NYJ defense here. I think everyone is believing a little too much in Oakland. Again. Jets defense is a top unit. I like the steady veterans of Fitzy, Decker, Marshall and Ivory over the youngsters of Raiders Nation. I think this Jets team believes in their HC. Last year in this spot, we are on the dogs ML here for sure. We will lay it here and see NYJ win this one comfortably for us. 4* Money Maker NEW YORK JETS 

Taking TAMPA BAY here. I know. I know. Normally I love my home faves of 3.5 and 7.5. I had the Falcons last week and they missed a FG with a little over 2 minutes left to kill my cover. But all I really remember is last year when I had the Bucs on a Thursday night and it was 56-0 at one point! Lovie is not going to let that just sit. That is the chatter for the week. And granted, TB blew a lead last week and are on back to back roadies. Bucs are 7-3 ATS last 10 on the road. Dirk Koetter is the Tampa OC. He just happened to have been the Falcons OC the last 3 years. So we get a little extra insight to Matt Ryan which will only help. Double revenge and a TD. I'll take it. 4* Money Maker TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 

Taking the SAINTS here. I was on Dallas last week when their lastest QB turned into a pick machine in the 3rd quarter. What I saw though was NYG team like one we have seen most of the year.  A team with hardly a pass rush and a patch OL that finally sprung a 100 yard rusher. Drew Brees a step up from Matt Cassal. Saints, after some home losses seem to have found their dome magic. Neither defense impresses me but how many times have I seen that dumbfounded look on Eli's face after terrible INTs on the road. 4* Money Maker NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Taking the BROWNS here. Yeah, you know I like my ugly dogs. But this home dog has some bite for us. We get Arizona on a short week in a non-conference spot. They already lost at Pitt in this spot and this is their 3rd road game in 4 weeks. That is a lot of travel and the short week helps. Cards have been out gained in 2 of their 3 road games. We had a big 10* on the Rams over the Browns last week. It was the right spot to fade Cleveland. Just like this is a prime spot to take the points. 4* Money Maker CLEVELAND BROWNS 

Taking the BENGALS here. It would be easy to say hey, Steelers have Big Ben back, they are home, they knock off the undefeated Bengals. But is it that simple? Cincy off their bye-week. Big Ben, if he plays, might be a bit rusty to start. Will he remain healthy behind an OL missing it's 2 best line-men? I know they have some weapons back. But Andy Dalton has a few pretty good weapons himself. Bernard and Hill are a nice duo in the backfield. And Green, Jones, Sanu and Eifert can hang with any WR/TE group I've seen. Plus, a defense that has already sacked opposing QBs 17 times in 6 games. And we have triple revenge working in our favor. 10* Money Bomb CINCINNATI BENGALS 

Taking the BEARS here. I like this Minny team. I said in my NFL Preview podcast that these guys have a solid defense, and a great HC, and if the offense came together, they could be special. Well, they got their first division road win last week since 2012 and now are in back to back divisional roadies against a Bears team off a bye. Minny has lost 7 straight to the Bears and are 1-6 ATS last 7 in Chicago. Bears have a solid defense under the new regime. Minny is ranked 30th in total offense. 5* Best Bet CHICAGO BEARS

Taking the ROYALS here. Look. Harvey is good. But he does have a history of giving up runs when he is too pumped up. I think the time off hurts the Mets a little. They were on a nice little ride. KC in back to back World Series'!! Just let that roll off the tongue again. This is going to be a fun series. But here, I think the KC bats will wear down the Dark Knight. As I said this post season. Mets can pitch. They have these hard throwing K machines. But the Royals make contact. Coupled with the time off, maybe a bit of nerves for the Mets, and KC should get Game 1 here. Taking the COWBOYS here. Dallas still without Romo and Dez. Giants looked absolutely lost on MNF football losing on the road to Philly. Now they get a rested Cowboys team with a new QB in Cassel. Will he be the king this afternoon? I think he has a chance at an outright win here. First, the Dallas OL is still very strong. Giants haven't gotten any pressure on QBs all year and you or I can be in there and still have a couple seconds to send a fluttery pass a few yards. The Dallas D looks pretty solid. They got to Brady a few times. A guy not known for being knocked down. Greg Hardy is a beast, literally, on and off the field. 18 sacks in his last 16 games. I am sure he will be making Eli's acquaintance. Getting a FG + I can't turn my cheek at the 'Boys. 4* Money Maker DALLAS COWBOYS 

Taking the FALCONS here. Ugh. Tough laying this short number. I will admit it does look a little too good to be true. But we are getting extra rest vs a back-up QB. I said last week in my write up about the terrible Whisenhunt record. The guy is 4-29 his last 33 games. Nothing left to even say. 4* Money Maker ATLANTA FALCONS 

Taking the RAMS here. Love this spot for STL. Love, love, love it. Rested. At home. Against the Browns, who, in cased you missed just lost a heart-breaker at home in OT to the Broncos. That on the heels of, winning a nail-biter on the road in OT against the Ravens. While recovering from a stinging 3pt loss on the road in San Diego on a FG as time expired. That is a bruising, 3 games stretch for most franchises. But this is the Browns. Let's give them a ton of credit for battling after each of those games. I can't see much in the tank here against the Rams. A rested bunch to boot. Now, the Rams as faves are in uncharted waters. In fact, when the Browns were favored over the Raiders we promptly cashed with visiting Oakland. But this is a totally different spot for both teams. The Rams defense didn't do terrible against better offenses. The get after the QB with 19 sacks, 2nd most in NFC, while Cleveland has been sacked the 2nd most (22) in the AFC. Plus, Gurley seems to have injected life in the offense which, granted hasn't put many points on the board. I just can't get past this situation though. Rams off their bye. Browns off another, close, physical game. Lay it. 10* Money Bomb STL RAMS 

Taking TAMPA here. Who are the Redskins to be laying points to anyone? They were just manhandled on the road. They have key injuries up and down their roster. Tampa in off their bye week. I know Washington has a couple nice games under their belts and you are thinking, this is Tampa, lay it. Well Cousins has more INTs than Winston. I actually like TB WRs Evans and Jackson. I thought the veteran and young wide-out, plus a solid rush attack with Martin would actually help Winston out in his rookie year. Hopefully, my continued faith in Lovie Smith will eventually get us some money! 5* Best Bet TB BUCCANEERS

Taking the COLTS here. I had NE -7.5 last week before the line steamed to 10. Now at 10, Indy might have been worth a look. Fact is, they lost by 7. What I saw was an improved Luck. I also cashed with the Saints on Thursday as an easy home dog winner over Atlanta. Now, I love my extra rest, especially in NFL. That being said, these aren't the same old Saints, and this is on the road. Indy has taken care of business at home. I expect it to continue. Truth be told, they don't run the most bizarre trick play in my memory, and maybe we are taking Saints since Colts in a let-down spot after upsetting the Patriots. But that didn't happen. So we are left with Luck and his oldies, Gore and Johnson, and some youngens, Moncrief and Hilton to expose a poor New Orleans defense. 8* Sure Shot INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 

Taking the JAGUARS here. This Bills season has really taken a turn or the worse hasn't it. I will be the first to admit, I thought they would have a nice season under Rex. Though I did think that the QB situation was the same as the Jets. After a nice start, the wheels have fallen off the Rex bandwagon. The injuries are too much to overcome. Brady is out to humiliate teams. Now he gets to tee-off on a leaky Colts defense (out-gained in every game) that may or may not have a less than 100% Luck at QB. Who, wasn't that good vs Bills or Jets when he was 'healthy.' So Brady, Mr Deflategate gets to face the team that started the whole sha-bang! Sign me up. Last time this team was accused, SpyGate, they rolled to a 17-0 regular season. Brady is about restoring his legacy and image. So running it up when he knows that everyone is watching is great medicine for his ego. Not that I like doing this but. Pats 51-17 over Jags.. Colts 16-13... 10* Money Bomb NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 

Taking SEATTLE here. You know I am not a big Seattle backer. We have faded them numerous times already this year, but I love them here in this spot. Long cross-country flight for the Panthers. Revenger from the play-offs last year, catching a TD. And, off their bye week! Looks too good to be true. But I am not totally done with Seattle. Carolina 0-6 SU/ATS under HC Ron Rivera. This is a huge game for the Seahawks. A 'must win' in every aspect. They just blew a 17pt 4th quarter lead. This defense is still a good unit, and has a lot of pride. Carolina does not have the weapons that Cincy has, nor the home field edge that Seattle claims here at home. Russell Wilson is 28-2 SU at home so we know they are at least in the hunt for a cover. 5* Best Bet SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Taking the JETS here. New York comes in off a nice bye week, the Redskins, off a stomach turning OT loss. Look. I think this game comes down to defenses. I think FitzMagic will be able to do something with his offense. I don't hold Cousins in that regard. Especially against this Revis led secondary. Fitzy has had some success in the NFL. Cousins is still searching for it. It would be easy to say 'look-ahead' for NYJ with the Patriots up next. But Bowles will have these guys focused strictly on Washington. Jets have forced 13 TOs so far and Cousins has tossed 6 INTs already. Just a good scheduling spot here for NY, even with NE on deck. 4* Money Maker NY JETS

Taking the DOLPHINS here. Will gladly grab Miami and any points here. They win this one outright. This is one of  my Super Contest selection. Miami was floundering under Philbin and as I predicted, canned him after their London loss. Now with a bye week and a new man in charge, I look for a swift kick in the ass exactly what the doctor ordered for this struggling team. New coach, new attitude. The players will be looking to prove themselves. And they face a rookie QB. They face a HC, in Whisenhunt who is 4-28 SU last 32 games. 4 Wins 28 LOSSES!! Miami is the more talented team. Taking MICHIGAN here. We had these guys as a Best Bet last week and they promptly cashed our ticket. So here we are again. The Wolverines giving more than a TD to a team ranked higher than them. LY Michigan State was a 17pt favorite! Sparty is undefeated, but hasn't looked impressive in any game. Have they been saving their best and key breakout moments for this game? Doubt it. Maybe the loss of their DC hurts more than it should. Sparty has won 11 straight Big 10 roadies. They were ranked #2 in pre-season AP poll. They were #4 before dropping to #7, with a win! Taking BAYLOR here. 21. I would lay 40 here. I always say that on my Top 10*s, we don't triple our bets, or throw mortgage payments down for extra money. But I do say put an extra unit or 2 down. Baylor in this spot, to me, is as close to a sure thing as possible. Revenge from last year. That game cost them a spot at the Play-Offs. 64ppg, basically 360 yard EACH through the air and on the ground per game! West Va has 9 TOs the last 2 games vs Okie and Okie State. That was after getting fat on bottom feeders Georgia Southern, Liberty, and Maryland. Maybe the last 2 games aren't flukes. They lost some talent from last year. Now you are coming into a hornets nest looking for revenge with 18 straight home wins behind them and the most explosive offense in the game. GL trying to keep Baylor under 40 by the half. 10* Money Bomb BAYLOR BEARS 

Taking HOUSTON here. A big number to lay on the road yes. But I can't see Tulane getting 20+ points here. I know the Cougars are good for 40-50, and possibly more if we get a few big plays and TOs. I said on my podcast Wednesday night - people wonder why Ohio State is struggling.. Well, their OC is now patrolling the side-lines of Houston as their new HC. That is why this offense is 46ppg. Tulane was just mauled by Temple 49-10. I am sure the Cougars are thinking we can do that. Plus, we get the revenge angle working in our favor. I don't think Tulane has the horses to put up points to stay close. Not going to overthink things here. Cougars the much better team. 4* Money Maker HOUSTON COUGARS 

Taking the BLUE JAYS here. I have said on numerous podcasts and radio spots, this Blue Jays teams crushes mediocre pitching. And that is exactly what is on tap here Friday night. Edison Volquez went 17-6 with 206 Ks in a career year.. That was in 2008! He is what he is.  A slightly better than .500 pitcher with a 4 something ERA. Just the kind of pitcher Toronto has crushed all year. Estrada took the most of his opportunity to be a full time starter posting a tidy 1.09 WHIP, .203 BA Against and an ERA of 3.13. Not too shabby. I said in July after the Price and Tulo deal, this was the team to beat. They have a great blend of speed (Ben Revere) power (Bats EE) leaders (Martin, Dickey). 4* Money Maker TORONTO BLUE JAYS 

Taking CINCINNATI here. We had the Bearcats over the U on that Thursday night, easy underdog outright win. I am looking for more of the same here. This Cincy team can score. They have extra rest which will help up in the altitude. Short week hurts BYU a little more. Their QB got banged up vs ECU Saturday night, left and came back. I know. I had BYU as a top 10* that night. Both teams can put up points so I will gladly grab any I can get as a bonus. 4* Money Maker CINCINNATI BEARCATS 

Taking the SAINTS here. A couple 3.5s out there, but I would be comfortable with 3. Heck, sprinkle some ML +150 on this thing. What am I missing here? Cowboys at home gave the Falcons all they could handle with Weeden behind center. Now Atlanta, banged up a bit, and showing some kinks in the undefeated armor, face Drew Brees at home? I will grab Brees here. And I have faded this bunch several times already this year. But this is a great spot. Short week at home. Atlanta swept this series last year. Under dog 13-7 ATS in the series, but NO is 13-7 SU. Now getting points. Brees 7-2 last 9 home games vs Falcons. 4* Money Maker NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 

Taking the DODGERS here. Tough laying 150 against a guy like DeGrom. He fanned, what, 13 Ks last game. The kid is good. But how can we knock Greinke either. The guy had epic year, and was sharp his last time out. I would think about going RL here, but +165 doesn't seem like a good enough value on the return. This can easily be 1-0, 2-1, 3-2. Runs will be at a premium. I am the first to say I thought LA was going to choke away a playoff appearance, and this first round. I have seen enough from Kershaw in his outings and from the LAD themselves that this team has a bit of an attitude about themselves. They have a nice combo of veterans and youngsters. Let's lay it with Greinke here. 4* Money Maker LA DODGERS

Taking WESTERN KENTUCKY here. Cashed with these guys as a Sure-Shot last week, and if this was home, would upgrade to a Best Bet. But laying nearly 5 TDs on the road is tough for most teams, but I am not missing out on any money here. North Texas is an absolute wreck. They gave up 66 to Portland State. Not even a real team. Their defense is very bad. No other words. Maybe WKU is looking ahead. I don't know. These guys will put up 50 just because they woke up in the morning. NT canned their coach. OC Canales takes over. Which he did when they fired the previous HC. Maybe the offense is part of the problem when you put up 3pts vs a FCS team? WKU can lock up a bowl bid here. But I think they are thinking bigger things in CUSA. 4* Money Maker WESTERN KENTUCKY

Taking the ASTROS here. I will be the first to say, that was about as bad a loss as a team can take the other day. Man, I had the 'Stros and, yes, I am guilty of counting my money there. The bullpen is a weak spot for them. But here, all hands on deck. If it gets bad early, we will see Keuchal and your worries should subside. Fact is, Cueto hasn't been all that effective since coming to KC. Hitters raking him to a .307 average in 13 starts. And his post-season numbers leave much to be desired (5.52 ERA 4 starts 14+ inning 1.70 WHIP). Houston playing with house money. They were predicted to be at least a year, maybe 2 away from really contending. Pressure is on the reigning AL Champs here. McHugh is 2-0 1.38 in 13 innings vs KC. For what it's worth, Astros 9-4 last 13 vs Royals. 4* Money Maker HOUSTON ASTROS 

Taking CHICAGO minus the goals here. A tidy 2-1 take back makes this appealing. You can lay 140, but I am going for extra money here. Blackhawks are the much better team.
