Taking the BREWERS here. I have lost with the Mets against the Pirates this week. But this isn't really fading them as much as fading Colon. I love the chubby guy. But come on. The fact is he barely goes 6 inning. And not for nothing, but the lack of hitting is a concern if yo are a Mets fan. Milwaukee trots out Jimmy Nelson. The kid is off his worse outing of the season. He had pitched good heading into that game. The Brewers are a bit hot of late and are within striking distance of .500 winning 10 of their last 15. Mets in a bit of a slump. 4* Money Maker MILWAUKEE BREWERS

Taking the WHITE SOX. Yeah, these guys are slumping. But I really like this spot for them. 11-0 nothing last night. Miguel Gonzalez is going to give us 6 innings tonight.Nothing fancy. Just a solid outing and what we need here. And I just find that teams getting bombed respond the day after. Nats are a very good. That isn't the argument I am making. Taking the ASTROS here and going RL for the big pay-day. I know that Keuchel has been brutal this year. Rangers smacked him for 7 runs just 2 starts ago. But that is one of the reasons I am on him here. Also. Why is this line so low? Astros haven't beaten the Rangers since I can't even remember. They are 2-7 in Keuchel's last 9 starts. Rangers seem to win every game that Hamels starts. 18-5 last 23 overall and 10-2 at home with him on the hill. I think those trends reverse tonight. 4* Money Maker HOUSTON ASTROS

(rained out from Monday) Taking the METS here. Lost with these guys yesterday. But, Harvey pitched like he I thought he would. Just couldn't muster any offense vs a very good pitcher. Niese has a nice 5-2 record, but isn't remotely close to Jose Fernandez. We have backed Matz often this year and has paid off dividends. This line is a little low, but I can't walk away from a guy with his numbers. He just finished May with a .76 WHIP (1.05 year). 4* Money Maker NY METS

Taking the WHITE SOX here. Verlander has been pitching much better in his May starts. 2 SHOs and he has lowered his ERA to respectability. I think the White Sox have a nice shot in the arm getting James Shields. Guy is a solid innings eater and will help deepen the rotation. It shows they are 'all in' as they say in going for it. I would have liked a bat to help today, but I think they are heading in the right direction. As for our starter, can Quintana get some offensive help please. 4 straight losses for a guy who's ERA 'ballooned' to a robust 2.13 after a 2-4 2.61 ERA month of May. I like my dogs. I like betting on pitchers who give us a chance in their starts. Quintana is the epitome of what I look for. A 1.03 WHIP and .227 BA against shows he limits hitters. 4* Money Maker CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Taking the METS here. We had the Marlins yesterday and they couldn't hold on. Here. Look. I'll be honest. You have read my write-ups. I am as down on Harvey as anyone. And as much as I love Jose Fernandez, I can't lay that number with him. Especially vs a guy like Harvey who just showed you in his last start what he is capable of doing. I am not saying Harvey is 100% and will be dominate from here on out. Taking the ORIOLES here. So I just had the Marlins as a free play yesterday on the bases. But I thought long and hard about adding the Yanks. Figured Tigers were coming from the west coast, and it was a random make up game. But I couldn't pull the trigger on Pineda. He pitched OK and the bullpen actually made it close. That being said. We get the O's at a short price here at home. Could be a sucker play. Tillman is 7-1 2.92 ERA on the year and a .203 BA Against. Baltimore has won his last 4 home starts vs the Yanks. And the Orioles are 7-1 last 8 vs NY and a 22-8 run last 30 vs the Bombers here at home. Eovaldi has pitched good his last 3 starts. 2 runs in 18 innings on 9 hits with 17 Ks. My problem here is the anemic Yankee offense and the fact that their 'big 3', of Betances, Miller and Chapman all pitched last night. Maybe all of them get run out there again tonight. I'm just betting on the Baltimore lineup getting enough runs to eliminate that element all together. 4* Money Maker BALTIMORE ORIOLES

Taking the BREWERS here. Get to see a couple of the young up and comers on the hill tonight. It has been a bit of roller coaster with Velasquez from the Phillies this year. He has a couple great, great games. But I think the growing pains have been showing lately. As in, a 5+ ERA in May including 10 runs his last 2 road starts in 7 innings. His home splits are very good though. a .74 ERA and 3-1 record in 4 starts. That being said, he still has been up and down. Jimmy Nelson on the other hand. Well, he has had his rocky rookie starts. He a year under his belt. He has gone into the 8th in 3 of his last 4 starts. On the year, a 2.88 ERA. He hasn't been really abused by any lineup. Can't forget about the Brewers winning 7 of 10, while the Phils dropped 9 of 10 including 7 straight. Brewers 10-1 last 11 here in Philly. 4* Money Maker MILWAUKEE BREWERS

Taking the CAVS here. Will go ML +220 but you can grab the 5.5 or 6 if you want. Look. I though the Thunder were going to take out the Warriors. And honestly, blowing double digits lead probably constitute a choke. But hats off to Klay and Curry because they are absolutely deadly from deep. More importantly, even with a hand in their face. But we get the under valued Cavaliers here. You know them. The guys who lost last years Finals to GS. The team with the guy who nearly won Finals MVP even though his team lost. It is go time for LeBron. We can say what if Love and Kyrie both played last year. I know LeBron and the Cavs will be saying that after they win this one. Look. We saw the Warriors have trouble with Westbrook. Irving won't be as out of control. They also have Love who can be more of a difference maker than Adams or Ibaka for the Thunder. And then there is LeBron. Warriors have chinks in the armor. Even if they win this series, there is no way you can say this team is better than 96 Bulls. The Bulls were never abused and lost, nor abused and had to come back from double digit road and home deficits to win. 5* Best Bet CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

Going METS RUN LINE here. I like Matz. Guy has been great for us. You know darn well that I am not laying anything more than 150. I think we do get some decent value here though. Latos. I mean, look. I have tried backing this guy in real life and fantasy. And he teases and teases you. 4-0 1.84 ERA in 5 April starts. 2-1 7.04 ERA in 4 May starts. He has given up 4 or more runs in 5 of his last 6 starts. Hitters were slapping him around to the tune of .337 BA against last month. I don't even count Matz first start of the year. It was a quirky schedule and he wasn't getting reps in. In my eyes, he is a perfect 7-0 with a 1.13 ERA. Even giving up 6 hits in 1+ innings, he still sports a .99 WHIP. Mets should be able to score a few here and the Sox bullpen has been a dumpster fire recently. 4* RL Money NY METS

Taking the ORIOLES here. We will flip sides today as we did cash with the Red Sox last night. But that was a different match-up. Sox send recalled Eduardo Rodriguez to the hill today. He has shown some nice flashes last year. But he hasn't been dazzling in Triple A. Just some average numbers at best. I have backed Gausman a few times this year. He is someone I like to keep in my stable. He is 0-2 in 7 starts. He has a 3.24 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, not terrible by any stretch. Even a .239 BA against isn't really hurting him. My only concern is pitches. He only goes about 6 innings with up and down strike out numbers. What I do know is this. He will keep us in the game. And at this short price, it is a worthy investment. 4* Money Maker

He has faced the Nats twice. Lost a game where he gave up 7 in 5 innings striking out 6 and took a ND in a 2 hit gem, giving up no runs while K'ing 7 more hitters. Harper might be taking a night off which only helps the cause. I like Joe Ross, but he hasn't impressed as much as Nola. Taking OKC THUNDER here. Again. Yes, we have had these guys every game the last 2 series with the exception of taking Spurs Game 1. Take the points. Take the +270, 280 ML. Thunder win this one. Look. Maybe they 'choked' in the 4th. KD and Russell hit 3 of 14 shots in the quarter. Not going to win many games when your stars do that. Plus, Klay was unstoppable from 3 which game Curry just enough time to hit a big shot. I still think KD and Westbrook have been the 2 best players on the floor. Klay next, ahead of Curry. Oracle will be a tough place no doubt. But if you allow GS to sink nearly 47% of 3s, 21 of 45 (69 points!) and you can't water from a boat, 3-23 (Outscored 69-9!) you are going to have trouble putting away any team. Taking the WHITE SOX today. I guess the lines-makers are finally catching on to our fade Harvey train. He's a home dog here. Wow. Look. My opinion is that he is tired out. Off Tommy John surgery, everyone, me included, ridiculed him for his agent saying he wouldn't pitch in post season. I think he should have. You never know if you will back to the World Series. But I believe we are seeing the lingering effects of that. That being said, his numbers speak volumes. 6+ ERA, .330 BA Against (330!), 1.69 WHIP. He has a 7.56 ERA here in May. After his loss today, I wouldn't be shocked to see a 'DL' visit for him to get his head straight. I like Jose Quintana. A guy you can always back. Never laying a huge number. But keeps us in games. He is sporty a tidy 2.22 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. Not terribly dominating, 60Ks in 65 innings. I guess you can say he has been 'roughed up' his last 2 starts. But to be honest, this line, begging you to take the Mets with deGrom. He is actually pitching to a 4.63 ERA in May. Also, his strikeouts are down. I can not remember Jordan and the Bulls get run out of any building like the Warriors have in these playoffs. I said before. I think Curry has a lingering injury. At least something hampering him. I know everyone is thinking GS comes out. They hit a ton of 3s. Curry scores 40 and it's happy times. I think the pressure is on. Big time. Not sure how they will handle it. Thunder has cashed over and over for this postseason. Durant and Westbrook as just as awesome as Curry. At times this series, better. Thunder didn't take the foot off the gas against the Spurs. Taking the RAPTORS here. We have cashed multiple time with the Cavs this postseason and had them all 4 games so far in this series. I still think they are the better team. I think they would have beat the Warriors if they met in the Finals this year. But right now. Tonight. The Raptors are the play. Especially getting double digits. Raptors seem to have found their heart and their shots. We knew the Cavs couldn't keep hitting 3s like they are layups. LeBron will take control tonight, but it won't be for a huge win. Cleveland might be a little tight here and leave Toronto some room to cover. Hey. If Love finds his game and the Cavs hit 20+ 3 pointers tonight. Well, we are in trouble. But I expect a tighter, attack the rim game from them to slow things down a bit and keep us in the number. 4* Money Maker TORONTO RAPTORS

Taking the MARLINS here. Ok. I am probably lining up for a loss with this huge number. I know that Andriese came on fast. CG SHO, 1 run in his first 16 innings yada yada yada. But the Tigers got him for 4 runs on 5 hits in 5+ last game out. Not saying he is going down the tube. But we have seen young guys impressive in their first starts before. I think the Marlins have a decent lineup. These games have been 1 run affairs so far in this series. At this price, we have grab Miami. Nicolino is going to give up 6 innings and probably give up 3 runs. I think if he does that or better, we are capable of winning. 4* Money Maker MIAMI MARLINS

I guess when a guy is 1-5 (9starts) with a 8.21 ERA and is favored the opposing team is brutal. Well, at least Shields will give a fighting chance. And on a side note real fast. Peavy hasn't been good since a 19 win season, in 2007! Those sub 3 ERAs are a long time ago. .343 BA against almost a 2 WHIP. This is a straight fade. But I will lean Nola here. The kid has looked better and better every time I see him. The numbers don't lie. .90 WHIP .193 BA Against. Taking the BRAVES here. Will grab Teheran in this spot. If he was on any other team, the guy would be a Cy Young contender. Instead, he toils on this rebuilding franchise. Teheran is posting a tidy .67 ERA here in May with a .82 WHIP and .176 BA against. For the year, 2.73 ERA .216 BAA 1.11 WHIP. The 1-4 record is more for the Braves lack of offense. The guy hasn't given up more than 2 runs since mid-April. Braves back home a long home stand with their ace on the hill, and a new manager calling the shots. That will be a nice little boost in the arm tonight. Enter the Brewers. I like Jimmy Nelson. I think he has the makings of a staff ace for Milwaukee. But I think in this spot, the way the Braves are hitting lately, edge to the home team. And let's be honest. With a 2-17 record at home, Atlanta has to start winning here sometime. Right. You know I like my guys who miss bats. Porcello the ole pitch to contact guy. A 6-2 record and 3.51 ERA is respectable. So is he .228 BA against and 1.09 WHIP. But the ERA is high for a reason . Taking the ORIOLES here. Kevin Gausman deserves better. Guy is rocking a 3 ERA. 0-1 in 5 starts. Poor kid has given up 10 earned runs and can't find a win. I think the Baltimore bats can muster some offense tonight against Matt Shoemaker. Shoemaker lowered his ERA nearly an entire half a run by giving up only 3 runs in 5 innings last game. A respectable 8.49 ERA coupled with a .328 BA against and 1.85 WHIP has have to have the O's sluggers licking their chops tonight. Plus Shoemaker has been absolutely abused pitching at home this year. A 14.40 ERA in 3 starts lasting just 10 innings allowing 20 hits and 17 runs. That translates to a .417 BA against and WHIP of 2.70. Yikes! Like I said in my pre-season team W/L preview, this Angels team is going to be bad. This line up is not producing. Tex, Arod, Beltran, all guys they rely on are banged up and all closer to 40 than 30. Some clown OF from Boston they signed to a ridiculous contract. They already had Ellsbury. His name is Bret Gardner. And Gardy has been better. I do like Castro and Didi though. After that. This team is clearly in sell mode when July gets here. Remember the Nats sitting, this guy, Strasburg, during their post season run a few years back? Well, they are still looking to get to a World Series. That being said, I think Harvey is still over coming his post surgery. As common as this stuff is, it still takes time to get back to really being 100%. Harvey has a .311 BA against and a WHIP of over 1.50. That isn't going to cut it against any MLB line-ups. Right now these guys are on 2 different ends of the spectrum. I am not saying he isn't going to go somewhere like 16-8 or along those lines. But he isn't a big strike out guy. His BA against is nearly 70 points below his career numbers. So I don't think we are seeing some newly invented guy. I think we are seeing a guy pitching about his head. Porcello pitches to contact most of the time. Taking OAKLAND here. Have to fade the Texas train here with Holland on the hill. I will be the first to say I had these guys as AL West Champs if they can hold it together with Yu coming back. But Holland, I think they should start looking somewhere else. Can't find a much worse option, especially on the road. Holland brings a miserable 7.40 road ERA to town in 4 starts. 24 hits in 20+ innings, 17 earned. Yikes. Hitters slapping him at nearly a .290 mark. The 10 walk/ 12 strike out ratio doesn't help matters either. I can't discount a bit of let down spot either from Texas. They took 2 of 3 from the Jays, and started a melee. There is really not a much of a positive spin for me to place on Manaea and his 11+ ERA except that he has an awesome first name (Sean!). Still, I think Texas is in a bit of spot where the A's can steal a home win. The numbers show Holland is bad, but Manaea's has his beat. Yet they are favored having lost 7 of 10, while Rangers won 7 of 10. I tend to jump on lines like this, and long term wise, we have made money doing it. 4* Money Maker OAKLAND A's

Going UNDER the total here. Happ has the second best ERA (1.68) in all of MLB since mid-August. He has given up 3 runs or less in 17 straight starts. The Rays hit .220 as a team. Are they exploding tonight against a guy who has given up 1 run this month (15.1 innings 10Ks). Doubt it. I like Smyly. I think people forget the hype around this kid. He is still just 26, and hopefully, finally fully healthy. The 1-4 record isn't impressive, but I will gladly take a 200 BA against along with a sub 1 WHIP (.92) with 52 strikeouts in 44 innings. Under 5-0-1 last 6 in the series. 4* Total Money UNDER Rays/Jays

Taking the WHITE SOX here. Same thinking as yesterday with these team. Now Quintana isn't sale, but the guy has been deadly so far this season. A .99 WHIP and 1.38 ERA 42Ks in 45+ innings. His last 4 starts a microscopic .64 ERA and .186 BA against. And then we have Ivan Nova and the Yankees line-up. Not happy laying with road fave, but will grab the dominate pitcher here. 4* Money Maker CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Taking the WHITE SOX here. You know I am not big on faves, especially a 140 road favorite. But Chris Sale is something special. Also, we aren't getting any real value at +110 on the RL either. Sale has been crushing it all year. A perfect 7-0, 1.79 ERA .77 WHIP and a BA against of .165 - Oh, did I mention his 1.21 career ERA vs the Yanks. Speaking of the Bombers. That is what they have been doing recently. But with the exception of David Price, they haven't faced a guy like Sale. And even against Price. We have seen the Yanks able to get runs of stud pitchers who they see often in division games. Sale is a very tough lefty. And I still the Yanks have several gaps in their lineup that need to be addressed before I take them seriously against a proven guy like this. 4* Money Maker CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Taking the DBACKS here. Almost want to grab them +190 or whatever they are on the RL. The Giants offense had been awful scoring 1 run the last 3 games and 3 runs the previous 4 before getting on the board 5 times yesterday. Not sure they will have an easy time here vs Greinke. I was quick to fade the big FA signee out of the gate, but he appears to be rounding into shape his last 2 starts. In fact, if we through the STL blitz against him, he has been good in 4 of his last 5. Arizona just had a 5 game win streak snapped, but can get back on the horse here tonight. Arizona has won the last 4 against SF. Cueto has 2 absolute gems in 2 of his last 3 starts. I always liked this guy. But at this price, I have take the team with Goldy, who can win the game by himself. 4* Money Maker ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS
