The St. Louis Blues return home to open a five-game homestand and have been reliable in this role, winning seven of their last nine games as home favorites. That’s an open door for a Caps team that likes to shoot.

The Capitals (5-3-0) have been scoring in bunches, with 28 goals through eight games. They’ve been especially good at home, winning four of five at Capital One Arena. Their own defense hasn’t been airtight though, allowing 24 goals.
