While this pitching matchup seems pretty close on paper considering the recent surge of Robbie Ray, I do believe that the Braves are the significantly strong team and will have much more offensive success on Sunday afternoon. Other than his meeting early this season with the Braves, Ray has been quite sub par against Atlanta over his career. He's got rather average numbers this season in whole as well. That being said, I expect the Braves to control this game from the first pitch.

They have also won 16 of their last 22 road games when priced as a money-line favorite at -110 or higher. San Francisco (34-48) snapped a two-game losing streak with the win. But the Giants have lost 26 of their last 40 games when listed as a money-line underdog priced up to +150. They have also lost 20 of their last 27 games with the Total set in the 7-7.5 range. Dodgers vs Padres MLB Free Pick

The Angle: We won with the Los Angeles Dodgers as they bounced back from a series-opening loss to win 15-3 and end the Padres 4-game winning streak yesterday. That being said, I like the price we get on the Friars in the series-finale. 

The Dodgers hand the ball to right-hander Emmet Sheehan (3-5, 5.32 ERA), who simply cannot be trusted in his current form. Sheehan has been heavily rocked lately, struggling through a brutal stretch that includes getting tagged for 6 earned runs and 8 hits over just 3 1/3 innings in his last outing against Baltimore. Furthermore, he has already shown vulnerability against this San Diego lineup, giving up 4 runs to them earlier this year.

The Padres counter with Michael King (5-6, 3.33 ERA), who is throwing the ball with elite confidence. King is fresh off a brilliant, masterful performance against the Braves where he tossed 7 scoreless innings of 6-hit ball. He also blanked this elite Dodgers order over 7 shutout frames earlier in the season. With King dictating the tempo from the opening frame and Sheehan struggling mightily with his structural command, expect the Padres to take the finale.
