If you pay attention to my articles, you would have seen that I'm expecting the Oklahoma City Thunder to respond after falling short last year. I expect OKC to win the championship this season. That being said, this is a very tough opening game for the Thunder, playing the opponent that they struggled against a year ago, & on the road. 

San Antonio is only getting better as well, with the young talent evolving into stars in this league. This should be an ultimate scrap in the opening game. However, I'm going with the home court advantage considering SAS has won four of the past five meetings here in Texas. Give me the Spurs here.

Detroit (3-3-2) has won two games in a row after their 4-3 win in a shootout at home against San Jose on Saturday. The Red Wings go back on the road where they have won 9 of their last 13 games when favored. They have also won 10 of their last 16 games on the road against Western Conference opponents. Seattle (5-3-1) has lost two games in a row after their 8-3 loss at Florida on Saturday. The Kraken have lost 9 of their last 10 games at home when playing with two days of rest. They have also lost 13 of their last 21 games at home when priced as a money-line underdog up to +150. Take Detroit with the money-line. Best of luck — Frank.

It has reeled off consecutive victories, however, including a dominant 4-0 win in Chicago on Saurday. Of note, the home team has taken three straight meetings in this series including Dallas home victories by scores of 7-2 and 6-2. While Boston will have one eye on an off day on Wednesday as it returns home to host Nashville on Thursday, Dallas will be opening a six-game homestand. Take Dallas (8*).
