Current markets make the Dutch only a slight home favorite.

The Netherlands can be found around +140 while Germany remains approximately +175 to +180.

That is a manageable price for a home national team that performed very well during the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

The Netherlands went unbeaten through its World Cup group and scored 10 goals in three matches before eventually being eliminated by Morocco on penalties.

Germany’s tournament was considerably more disappointing.

Italy-Belgium is one of the most evenly priced marquee fixtures of the opening international window.

Italy is approximately +100 to +110.

Belgium can be found around +225 to +260.

The draw is roughly +255 to +275.

That makes the draw especially interesting.

Belgium reached the quarterfinals of the 2026 World Cup before losing 2-1 against eventual champion Spain.

The Red Devils also showed enough attacking quality throughout the tournament to remain dangerous against elite opponents.

Italy owns the home-field advantage.

Neither side provides enough separation for us to confidently lay a short price.

Prediction: France 2, Türkiye 1

This is the biggest match of Nations League Matchday 1.

Spain enters as the reigning World Cup champion.

Spain defeated Austria, Portugal, Belgium and France during the knockout rounds before defeating Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final.

England also had an excellent World Cup.

The Three Lions reached the semifinal before losing 2-1 against Argentina and then defeated France in the third-place match.

That means this is legitimately a matchup between two of the strongest national teams in the world.

England has home-field advantage.

But Spain can still be found around +160.

That is a significant price on the reigning world champion.

We believe Spain’s ability to control possession and create high-quality opportunities makes the plus-money price worth taking.
