Taking the BLUE JAYS here. Jays hitting the ball well and face AJ Burnett tonight. Now AJ has been pretty dominate lately, a .98 ERA his last 3 start. On the year, 2.06 ERA in 7 games 43+ innings 35Ks and a .219 BA against. But I am not sold on this guy. RA has been pitching better and I think his knuckler with befuddle this Philly team. Philly 2-5 last 7 and 9-23 last 32 in inter-league. Phillies now 0-7 last 7 vs Jays and 0-5 in Toronto. 5* Best Bet TORONTO BLUE JAYS

Taking the ANGELS here. This Yankees team is struggling right now. The bullpen literally, walked the game away last night. Now they send Kurode to the hill who has looked anything but sharp lately. Teams are hitting nearly .290 against him this year. (0-7 5+ERA L9 road starts). I don't think he looks 100%. CJ Wilson on the other hand is flat out in beast mode. More than a K an innings. Low WHIP and BA against. 13Ks his last 2 games. 10* LA ANGELS

Taking the MARLINS here. Ok. I get it. Harang is having a career month. Leading the NL in ERA (.70) , throwing 7 no-hit innings last time out and actually carrying 2 no-hitters into the 6th of his last 2 starts. But this is 35 year old Aaron Harang we are talking about. He still has walked 12 guys in his 25 innings of work. 9 Hits allowed! Come on. Off a 121 pitch performance, this isn't going to continue. For the Fish we have Nate Eovaldi. Taking the GIANTS here. Bumgarner went 3-1 with a 1.93 ERA and 0.64 WHIP last year. Giants are 5-1 his last 6 starts vs LAD. Dodgers just 1-7 last 8 games in SF. I am not a fan of Ryu and think this a poor match-up for him. Bumgarner shuts down LA again. 5* Best Bet SF GIANTS

Taking the PIRATES here. I like this Cole kid. He is a special one and is only going to get better. Last night's game is suspended, but the Pirates came into this series on a 4-0 run vs the Reds. Going back to last year, this Reds bunch has been in a funk. 2-9 last 11 at home, 4-14 last 18 overall. Cole has been very good as the Pirates are 8-1 his last 9 starts. Leake is off a great start, but Cincy just does not inspire any confidence so I am taking the small road faves. 5* Best Bet PITTSBURGH PIRATES

Taking SEATTLE here. A little bounce back game here. Ramirez lost to Gray and the A's on Sunday. He wasn't that sharp giving up 7 hits and 3 walks. M's seem to be hitting a little more and should be able to muster some run support here. 4* Money-Maker SEATTLE MARINERS

Taking the ASTROS here. Will grab the big dogs here. Houston will steal some games this year. They aren't losing 140 games. Who is Scheppers to be laying this? The guy has a 9 ERA and a huge 2.33 WHIP. He has faced the 'Stros 8 times and sports a 8.53 ERA in those innings. I think this team is a scrappy bunch and will want to get win vs their in-state rivals. 4* Money-Maker HOUSTON ASTROS

Taking the PHILADELPHIA here. I had the Fish last night and Fernandez promptly wet the bed for me. Now the Phillies face another youngster who brings the heat. They hammered 8 hits in 4 innings vs the Marlins ace last night. Not that these guys are the same, but the fact that older Phils were raking, well that gives me pause here thinking they are totally done. The truth is that the Marlins are the worse team in the division. I think the line-up is dangerously thin after stud OF Stanton. I think the vets for Philly get it done again tonight. 4* Money-Maker PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

Taking the INDIANS here. Masterson wasn't sharp last game, but I expect a good performance here. Lifetime he is 8-5 with a 2.22 ERA vs the Sox. Cleveland went 17-2 last year vs Chicago but the Sox already have scored 2 wins this year. Can't see 3 in a row, especially with Paulino on the hill here. Paulino didn't pitch last year at all and it shows as hitters are slapping him with a .348 BA against and a WHIP of 2.28. Indians 6-0 in Masterson's last 6 starts vs the White Sox. 4* Money-Maker CLEVELAND INDIANS

Taking the ROYALS here. Minny got off the mat last night for a win, but I don't think that will happen this afternoon. Not with Shields on the hill for KC. The guy is a beast. 15-3 his last 18 as a favorite. 7-1 last 8 on the road. 18-7 last 25 overall. KC is 18-6 last 24 in the series and 7-1 last 8 vs the Twins. Minnesota is not a good team. KC gets it done here for us. 4* Money-Maker KC ROYALS

Taking OAKLAND here. This line has dropped even though everyone loves King Felix. This A's team. I have said it over the last 2 year. Nobody respects them, yet they put together b2b division championships. A's already a perfect 3-0 on the road, 9-3 last 12 as road puppies. Milone 6-1 last 7 starts as an underdog. M's have made some moves. They had a nice opening series vs LAA. But they are still 6-14 last 14 at home. Hernandez 4-17 last 21 vs teams with winning records including 1-11 at home! It might be only week 2, but the A's are a proven winning team over the last 2 years. I'll grab the nice number on the dogs here. 4* Money-Maker OAKLAND A's

Taking MILWAUKEE here. This guys are off to a fast start. I have to say though, this is about Peralta. I like this young kid. Liriano was reborn last year, as the entire Pirates team was. But I think Milwaukee is just playing well right now. Back to Peralta. I think this kid has good stuff. He is an under the radar guy. I mean, he plays for the Brewers. He isn't fancy or flashy like some other of the young arms. But he put together a nice quiet year last year and I expect him to grow more. Add in the 6 straight wins and the Brewers have a little more hop in their step tonight. 4* Money-Maker MILWAUKEE BREWERS

Taking MIAMI here. Tough to go against Fernandez here. The kid is a beast. Miami isn't a great team. Not even a good team. But they have the best arm here, plus the best hitter in Stanton. I think that Fernandez is just going to blow by these older Phillies hitters. Rollins, Utley, Howard, Byrd, Ruiz. All on the wrong side of 30 facing a kid who brings the heat. AJ Burnett doesn't instill any fear. Marlins 9-0 last 9 when Fernandez listed as fave, 10-1 when facing team with losing record and 19-7 his last 26 overall. I didn't think Philly would be very good to start the year, and that has not changed through the first week. 4* Money-Maker MIAMI MARLINS

Taking BOSTON here. We cashed the Yanks as a Best Bet last night, but we will flip the script here on Friday. How can you be happy with CC. The guy has clearly lost it. He doesn't have the overpowering stuff to get past hitters anymore. Sox can mash with the best of them. They send Lester who has pitched very well in his two starts. Neither guy has huge numbers in vs the other teams in this series. But Lester is 11-5 with a 3.96 ERA career vs NY, going 7-3 4.14 in the Bronx. CC is 10-11 4.72 career vs Boston. After last nights Yankees win, I expect Boston to even the series at a game a piece. 4* Money-Maker BOSTON RED SOX

Taking the YANKEES here. A couple things I like. One, we have the Yanks off a game where they were flat out pummeled giving up 14 runs. Now they face their hated rivals in the Red Sox with Buchholz on the hill. He hasn't fared well vs NY posting a 5.32 ERA and a WHIP of 1.60. And that is including him going 3-0 with a .50 ERA and .167 BA last year. He didn't look sharp with a flat fastball last game vs the Brewers and for 6 runs and 13 hits in 4+ innings. Pineda on the other had is off a great spring training which looked like it carried over striking out 5 in 6 innings of work. He hasn't pitched in nearly 2 years so he should be new to Sox batters. 5* Best Bet NY YANKEES
