Field position could become especially important Saturday because Saskatchewan’s defense is capable of creating difficult situations for opposing offenses.
If Grant gives Toronto favorable starting field position, the Argonauts can make Saskatchewan pay.
Saskatchewan Needs a Bounce-Back
The Roughriders enter Saturday at 6-4.
That’s a good record.
But the trend heading into this game isn’t good.
Saskatchewan has lost two straight games, including defeats against Hamilton and BC.
The Riders also need to clean up their offensive execution.
Trevor Harris Needs to Rebound
Trevor Harris has thrown four interceptions in his last two games.
That’s a major red flag heading into a matchup against a Toronto defense that has talented defensive backs capable of taking advantage of mistakes.
Harris is too experienced to expect that slump to continue indefinitely.
And Saskatchewan has plenty of weapons.
But turnovers have become a legitimate concern.

I expect another high-scoring game.

Chad Kelly has multiple receivers capable of creating explosive plays, and Isaiah Smith’s emergence in the running game gives Toronto another way to attack.
I expect Harris to bounce back somewhat, but the absence of Samuel Emilus and the recent turnover problems concern me.
