Current betting odds for this game have the have the Sooners listed as 2.5 point favorites, while the total has been set at 147.

The Texas A&M Aggies were the SEC regular season champs and they were given a #3 seed here in the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies crushed Green Bay by 27 points in their opening game, but in their 2nd round game they needed a miraculous comeback to move on. They faced the Northern Iowa Panthers in that game and they trailed the game by 12 points with just 34 seconds left in the game, but they made a run and forced OT, where they eventually won the game in 2 OTs by a score of 92-88. Incredible and a comeback like that could just propel a team. The Aggies are now 10-1 SU & 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall and they are 7-4 ATS vs Tournament teams this year, but they are also 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games after putting up 90 points or more in a game.  The Aggies have 7 players that average at least 6.4 ppg and are led by Danuel House 15.7 ppg), who had 22 points in the win over the Panthers. Jalen Jones is 2nd on the team in scoring (15.4 ppg), while leading them in rebounding  at 7.0. Tyler Davis (11.1 ppg) rounds out the double digit scorers on the team. Alex Caruso is 4th at 8.1 ppg, but he had a very big game vs the Panthers, scoring 25 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. Overall Texas A&M has been a solid offensive team as they come in ranked 84th in scoring, putting up 76.8 ppg, while also ranking 116th in shooting overall and 181st from long range, but they struggle at the stripe where they are 268th. The defense has been very good this year and comes is ranked 43rd in points allowed, giving up just 66.1 ppg, while also ranking 39th in defensive FG% overall and 94th in 3-point defense. The Aggies are 35th in the nation in rebounding, while committing just 12.1 turnovers per game (114th) and forcing 14.4 turnovers per game (41st).

The Oklahoma Sooners come at 27-7 on the year overall and they are the number 2 seed in the West Region, The Topped Bakersfield by 14 points and VCU by 4 points to get to this point, but they did fail to cover the spread in both games and we note that  Sweet 16 favorites off a pair of ATS failures in the first two rounds are just 4-9-1 ATS when facing a No. 6 or higher seed, plus the sooners are just 4-17 in their last 21 games vs a winning team, but they are also 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs the SEC.  The Sooners are led by the best player in the nation in Buddy Hield, who averages 25.4 ppg. He had 27 points vs Bakersfield topped that by scoring 36 vs VCU. He has now scored 30+ points 11 times this year and is also one of the best from beyond the arc where he hits 46.3% of his shots. Isaiah Cousins (13.1 ppg), Jordan Woodard (12.8 ppg) and Ryan Spangler (10.5 ppg) also average in double figures, while no one else scores more than 5.5 ppg. Spangler is the team’s leading rebounder at 9.3 rpg. The Sooners are a very good offensive team as they come in ranked 18th in scoring, putting up 80.6 ppg, 69th in shooting overall, 2nd in from three-ball land and 79th from the charity stripe. On defense they are 147th in points allowed, giving up 70.7 ppg, while also ranking 45th in defensive FG% overall and 144th in 3-point defense. The Sooners are 58th in the nation in rebounding, while they commit 12.8 turnovers per game (199th) and force 12.7 turnovers per game (155th).
