Sports Watch Monitor Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends

With the NHL at the All-Star break, sportsbooks will turn their attention to the NBA and college basketball and we have the biggest line moves and free picks to follow for today. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (348-294 L114D)

NBA – (501) UTAH at (502) MILWAUKEE  8:05 ET ROOT-NW, FSWI

The Utah offense has gone colder then Bill Belichick’s icy stare talking about Deflate Gate, averaging 90.4 points a game in losing five of six (2-4 ATS). NBA basketball handicappers and those generating sports picks notice this and the fact the youthful and athletic Milwaukee Bucks are turning into one of the better defensive teams in the league, ranked fourth in points allowed (97.1) and fifth in field goal percentage defense (43.7%). Collectively, they have adjusted the NBA odds and shot the Bucks from -6 to -8. If you liked Milwaukee like I did, we lose some value, but the Bucks are 8-0 ATS off a home loss this season. SWM Take – Lean Milwaukee

NBA – (503) SAN ANTONIO at (504) CHICAGO  8:05 ET  TNT

Surging San Antonio has gotten the attention of everybody placing NBA picks with their current 4-0 SU and ATS streak. The Spurs are healthy and wise, while the Bulls looked like a washed up old boot that washed up on the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown. Chicago is in a 2-6 SU and ATS rut and Derrick Rose expressed his frustration. “It’s just that no matter who is on the floor or who is out or who is coming back we just have to compete,” Rose lamented. “My biggest thing is competing and making sure we let the opponent know we’ve come to play. We’re midway through the season; it’s no excuses.” This is not the sports bettors’ problem and they will need to see more from the Bulls to change their minds and shifted Chicago from +3.5 to +6. Really seems like a lot of points, yet the Spurs are 8-3 (7-4 ATS) as away favorites while Da Bulls are 0-2 SU and ATS as home underdogs. SWM Take – Lean San Antonio

CBB – (513) GEORGE WASHINGTON at (514) FORDHAM  7:00 ET  NBCSN

George Washington is right in the thick of the Atlantic 10 race at 4-1, while Fordham is virtually almost finished from competing at 0-5 and is looking to get back to .500 to secure a minor postseason tournament bid. Hoops bettors have adjusted the betting odds two points and made the Colonials -9 point favorites. The Rams have a difficult time scoring (62.6 PPG) because they do not have many good shooters as noted by their 40.1 percent shooting average and being 28.1% from behind the arc. The only concern is despite George Washington’s fine 14-4 record, they are 6-9 ATS and have not covered five straight. SWM TakeLean George Washington

CBB – (583) ARIZONA STATE at (584) CALIFORNIA  11:00 ET   PAC-12N

Both these Pac-12 partners are scuffling, 1-4 in conference play and being beaten rather soundly. California does a better job on defense, holding opposing teams to 39.8 percent of shots made and 62.9 PPG, and is receiving the nod in this matchup, up from a Pick to -2. Arizona State has yet to taste victory away from Tempe in seven tries (2-4-1 ATS), yet is 11-5 ATS in recent visits to Berkeley with six outright wins. If the Bears Jordan Mathews (21.0 PPG) starts connecting, Cal should improve to 2-4 in league play. SWM Take – California covers
