Houston beat INDY in the season opener 34-24 as a 1pt underdog. RB Foster abused the Colts defense for 231 yds (7.0) & Manning was playing behind an unsettled offensive line. You can bet the COLTS will be ready tonight at home. Give Manning 2 weeks to prepare and playing with revenge. A loss here puts IND at 0-3 in Div play & they still have both games vs TEN on the schedule. Peyton Manning continues to light up teams and move the ball. They usually settle for TD's and not FG's in the redzone.
The Colts will be facing a Texans defense that ranks last in the NFL, allowing 410.5 yards per game. Indianapolis amassed 463 yards in the opener and most came in the 2nd half.I like the Colts. I think it's easy to take Houst plus the points because they beat the Colts earlier and Peyton is without 3 main guys. But I don't think it matters with Peyton. He can take an average player and make him look great especially with the extra week. He has revenge on his mind and I think the defense steps up at home to hold the Texans offense in check.

I think UTAH absolutely crushes the Air Force Falcons on Saturday night. The curtent price on this game stands right around a touchdown, but the Utes will take this one by double-digits. I have a feeling that past history in this series is playing a large part in why this line is priced around a TD. You see, Air Force is just 1-6 straight up the last 7 series meetings, BUT the Falcons have covered the last 3, and 5 of the last 6 meetings.
Air Force just got trampeled by TCU, 34-7 and now they must face a Utah squad that is averaging close to 50 points per game. The Utes have also been able to stop the Force cold in their tracks, holding them to under 3 yards per carry the last 2 times the schools have faced one another.
Utah is on an 8 game winning streak, and they have covered 6 in a row and are now 9-0-1 against the spread their last 10 games.

We actually have the Dolphins with even more motivation today. Miami is playing with revenge from the season ending HOME loss last year delivered by the Steelers that kept Miami from ending over .500 last year.
Pittsburgh's defense will be without run-stuffing end Brett Keisel (hamstring), which could open a few more holes for Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown. Williams needs 89 yards from scrimmage to pass Larry Csonka (7,425) for the most by a Dolphins running back. 10* NFL GAME OF THE WEEK

Tennessee hasn't put back-to-back good games together all year. I beleive Jax has the defense to win at home. The Division home dogs have been solid plays so far this season. Nice value with the home team as the Titans are overvalued in my opinion. Tennessee has won both their road games at tough sites vs the Giants & Cowboys. In BOTH games, the Titans were badly beaten in the stats. Tennessee allowed 471 yds at NY & were outgained by 200 yds in the decieving 29-10 win. At Dallas, the Titans allowed 511 yds but penalties and turnovers gave the Titans the game.
Tennessee is in a rough scheduling spot playing their 3rd road game in 4 weeks, The Jags are in very good spots.
Here are some stats and trends in our favor too:NFL Division home dogs that are off TWO wins a row, with the last win a NON-Division road dog win, are 18-5-1 the lst 24 when playing a team off a SU win.
Tenn's HC Fischer is 0-12 as a 3(+) fav vs a team off back-to-back SU/ATS wins. 5* play on JACKSONVILLE.

Rodgers and NFL sacks leader Clay Matthews are the two most important players on both sides on the ball. Green Bay struggled in their last 3 games, but they also had 8 turnovers which made a huge impact along with a ton of penalties. Madison is never an easy place to survive and the Wisconsin running game fuels the Badgers with 2 great running backs. Buffalo is winless at 0-3 but have been very competitive in all of their games. In Week Two, Buffalo travelled to Green Bay and played well for a half before the Packers pulled away and last week, the Bills gave the Patriots all they could handle. All the public sees is a 0-3 record but we see a ton of value on the Bills. The release of quarterback Trent Edward caught many by surprise but Ryan Fitzpatrick showed last week it might have been the right move. The offense was more energized and the unit actually took shots downfield. New York was pretty bad against Miami last week and the absence of Darrelle Revis for a second straight week is going to hurt the already porous secondary. Buffalo pressured the Jets tough in both games last year. Cincy opened the season ugly, falling behind 31-3 at New England last week before making it respectable in a 24-38 defeat. They had the 4th best defense in the league last year and I expect them to bounce back here. The Bengals won 17-14 at Baltimore last year before capping off the sweep with a 17-7 home win. In that home victory, Cincinnati controlled the ball 40 minutes to Baltimores 20 minutes and held the Ravens to just 55 yards rushing on 17 carries. I'm taking the points with the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. They finally have a QB to go with this top defense and special teams. As far as the Raider offense is concerned, they obviously had the "upgrade of the year" at QB with Jason Campbell taking over for JaMarcus Russell. They have a running game that will keep defenses honest. And the speedy receiving corps, maybe the fastest in the NFL, looked head and shoulders above their play of last year in camp and preseason. The Raiders have covered four of their last five against the AFC and they're on a 5-1 ATS run against the Titans. This has not been a good spot for the Titans under the direction of Jeff Fisher. I am not sold on Vince Young as a starting QB in the NFL. Yes, I know all about his success when he took over the starting job after the Titans got off to such a horrendous start last year. But at the time Young took over, there was absolutely no pressure on him. The season was basically over with very little chance of making it to the postseason.
Basically, the Titan offense is RB Chris Johnson and not much else. This team did very little to upgrade in the off-season and I think this is a very close tight game. 5* Raiders plus the points.

Last year the Temple offense got most of the attention in the media, but Temple's success was also because of the play of the defense, which opened this season with a solid showing against the FCS National Champions Villanova. Last weeks game was also a huge inter city rivalry.
The Owls held Villanova to just 172 yards through the air, but were a tad sloppy against the run, surrendering 139 yards on 4.3 yards per carry. The lackluster effort against the run should not be overly concerning considering Temple did well in that area a year ago.
Central Michigan lost tons of talent to graduation and the team is still learning new systems on both sides of the ball. The combination of new coaches and a 2nd game starter at QB on the first road trip in a night game in Philly, I like TEMPLE by double digits Thursday night as a 5* play.

Johnson's spread triple option offense has been the key to Georgia Tech's success and very disciplined The Yellow Jackets are 11th in the Football Bowl Subdivision in total offense and coming off a bad bowl game last year. Georgia Tech averages 442.7 yards with 307.2 of them coming on the ground, good for second in the nation. Iowa gives up 286.7 total yards per game, 122.0 rushing. The Yellow Jackets are 11th in the country with 35.3 points per game and will get the job done against Iowa who was lucky to win several games and caught a lot of lucky breaks. Iowa will likely get QB Ricky Stanzi back for this game but it will not matter, as he played late in the season throwing six interceptions in the last two games that he played. Iowa was never as good as their 9-0 record indicated and they finished poorly down the stretch losing two of their last three games. Iowa will have trouble scoring points and that is something Georgia Tech does well. Expect the Yellow Jackets to run up and down the field and we will collect big in the process as well. Georgia Tech is playing in a BCS bowl for the first time and making its first major postseason appearance since 1967, when it also went to the Orange Bowl. That makes 2 straight bowl losses for this proud Air Force team, and while they may go down again, they will be right there against a Houston team that had trouble when laying single digits down the stretch. Having faced Houston twice last year, the veteran Falcons "D" should welcome this meeting against Case Keenum and mates.

Colts Head Coach Jim Caldwell said Monday the team has not yet decided how long starters will play and he said he plans to play all players who are healthy, but he didn't elaborate on just how long those healthy starters would play against the Jets and that alone tells us that they will likely be coming out before this game is over.
New York is tied with five other teams at 7-7 and winning out for any of them could mean nothing as they all trail both Baltimore and Denver by a game for those Wild Card playoff spots. The Jets are very good at stopping the run and have an excellent secondary! They have actually fared better on the road this season, going 4-3 and while this is the hardest test of all, it is one that can be passed. Indianapolis has been winning but it has been anything but impressive in my eyes and Manning has a lot of INT's this season. Over the last seven games, the Colts have actually been outgained in five of those and the other two saw yardage advantages by only 21 and 24 total yards. Play the NY JETS PLUS THE POINTS!

Pittsburgh's defense is in big trouble here as they have been torched for over 20 points in 4 of their last 5 games, including 27 or more against the Raiders, the Chiefs and the Packers.
You start seeing the Raiders and Chiefs putting up 27 on you, then you know you have problems especially in the secondary.
This Baltimore Ravens team is playing very well as they come off 48-3 destruction at home over the Lions, and a 31-7 win over the Bears.
Already this year on the road they have beaten the Chargers 31-26 and for all intents and purposes let wins get away at Minnesota, and New England in tight games.Baltimroe is the better team. They have a better offense and they are playing very well down the stretch. This Ravens team appears primed to make some noise heading into post-season. Baltimore won first meeting with defensive formula that can work again.

BYU may be 10-2 but Oregon St is the better team. BYU got spanked at home by FSU an athetic team and TCU also destroyed them. BYU had a soft schedule and it will show tonight. Everyone is making such a big deal out of the "Who really wants to be here"
BYU is playing in Vegas for the 5th straight season, and while the proximity of BYU to Las Vegas makes it a no-brainer for the bowl to have BYU participate, the Cougars playing this game against the Pac 10 has not been so kind to BYU.
BYU covered just 1 of their last 4 bowl games against the Pacific 10, and this Oregon State team is likely to drop that number to just 1 cover in 5 tries.
Oregon State brings some serious matchup problems to the table for the Cougars, as the Rodgers brothers will see to it that the Beavers team speed is used to its fullest potential tonight.
The Beavers bring a nice 5-0 straight up bowl record under Mike Riley into Sin City this evening, and they have also covered in 4 of those 5 bowl games.
I look for Oregon State to do exactly what they do every year under head coach Mike Riley and that is step up and play football in front of a national TV audience and in front of the NFL scouts who will be there.
With the line being this low I am comfortable with the thought the team that wins will probably cover and the team I see winning is the team with more talent and speed and at the pro or college level in any sport, speed kills. PLAY OREGON ST on Tuesday night!

I like the roll that the Washington Redskins are on, and not the roll New York is on with a weak secondary. The Redskins are working on a fabulous 5-0 ATS spread run, while the Giants have covered only one of the last eight. Also don't like the fact that New York's defense has become low-end Swiss cheese, allowing a staggering total of 126 points (31 points per game) in the four games since the bye week.- I think the Redskins are a better team than the Giants right now.... with the hiring of Bruce Allen, it is also very clear in the locker room that the players are on a 3 game audition for the coming Shanahan/Allen era and the Redskins win at home!

Philly has taken over first place in the NFC East by winning its last four games, and after a tough division road clash at the Giants last Sunday night, I expect the Eagles to suffer a little bit of a letdown back at the Linc. San Francisco kept its flickering playoff hopes alive with a huge Monday night outright win over Arizona, and Mike Singletary has certainly enjoyed the role of underdog during his short tenure, as his team is on an 8-0-1 spread run when catching points. So far this season the Niners have won outright at Arizona, covered at Minnesota and Indianapolis, and rallied to push at Green Bay - some pretty tough road venues.
Philly has failed to cover in each of its last two home games, needing a last-minute field goal to nip Washington and losing outright to Dallas, and I think the Eagles will fail to get the job done in Vegas once more on Sunday as well.
Take San Francisco plus the points.
