01-11-20 | NC State +2 v. Virginia Tech | 58-72 | Loss | -109 | 3 h 8 m | Show
N.C. State at Virginia Tech 2:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Hokies- Last season when these two met Virginia Tech held NC State to 24 points the lowest amount scored by a ranked team in the modern shot-clock era. The Hokies do it with defense as they average the fewest turnovers in the nation at 9.8 and rank second with fouls committed and are third in assist/turnover ration at 1.61. The Wolfpack who lead the series 40-17 have revenge on their minds are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and Tech is 1-5 ATS against teams with winning records. Take N.C. STATE! |
01-11-20 | Baylor v. Kansas -7.5 | 67-55 | Loss | -107 | 2 h 12 m | Show
Baylor at Kansas 1:00 ET Jayhawks (-) over Bears- Baylor has never won at Kansas (0-17) Bears are 5-0 ATS on the road Kansas is 4-1 ATS in their last five at home and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall. The road team is 21-8-1 ATS in the last 30 meetings and the underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. So, my question is why is this line so high when Baylor has defeated four ranked teams on their 11 -game winning streak. Kansas is 32-5 all-time against Baylor with 13 of 14 games decided by double figures. Take the JAYHAWKS! |
01-10-20 | Butler v. Providence +2 | 70-58 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 10 m | Show
Butler at Providence 9:00 ET Friars (+) over Bulldogs- Providence who started 6-6 have won four straight including their first three Big East games and will host the conference's highest ranked team No. 6 Butler who is 14-1 and 2-0 in Big East play. The Bulldogs are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games overall a including 5-1 ATS on the road and 9-4 ATS as a favorite. Providence can counter with the fact that the the home team is 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings and the underdog is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings. Take PROVIDENCE! |
01-10-20 | Maryland v. Iowa +2 | Top | 49-67 | Win | 100 | 7 h 0 m | Show |
Maryland at Iowa 7:00 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Terrapins- These two have opened their seasons in different fashions as Iowa has play eight of their last 10 on the road whereas Maryland has play 10 of their first 15 games at home. No. 12 Maryland who dropped out of the Top-10 with a pair of losses but have rebounded with a win over Ohio State while the Hawkeyes have dropped their last two the last of which was to lowly Nebraska. Note that the Terrapins are just 1-4 ATS as road favorites and that Iowa is 6-0 ATS following an ATS loss and they are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games. Take IOWA! |
01-09-20 | Washington State +1.5 v. California | 66-73 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 51 m | Show
Washington State at California 10:30 ET Cougars (+) over Golden Bears- California opened the season with four straight wins but have fallen to 6-8 on the season having lost four straight six of seven and eight of their last 10. neither of these teams are anything to speak about as Washington State is 6-14-1 ATS in their last 21 overall and 7-20-1 ATS in their last 28 road games. California on the other hand isn't any better as they are 1-6 ATAS in their Last seven home games and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Take the COUGARS! |
01-09-20 | Arizona +4 v. Oregon | 73-74 | Win | 100 | 8 h 25 m | Show
Arizona at Oregon 9:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Ducks- This is a rarity a pair of Pac-12 teams that are both ranked in the Top-25 as No. 9 Oregon hosts No. 24 Arizona. The Ducks took both end meetings last season and have won the past three meetings but the Wildcats lead the overall series 51-32. The trends here do the Wildcats no favors as they are 1-8 ATS in their last nine road games and 0-5 ATS after a straight-up win. Oregon on the other hand is 20-6 ATS as favorites and 25-10 ATS in their last 35 home games. The Wildcats who missed the Big Dance last season is on the comeback trail...take ARIZONA! |
01-09-20 | Purdue +5.5 v. Michigan | Top | 78-84 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 30 m | Show |
Purdue at Michigan 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Wolverines- Michigan started this season 7-0 and jumped from the unranked to No. 4 after defeating Gonzaga 82-64 in the Battle 4 Atlantis back in November but have lost four of their past seven including an 87-69 loss to Michigan State last time out. Purdue is off of a humiliating 63-37 loss at Illinois where they set a school record for futility by shooting just 25% from the floor. The Boilermakers are 4-0 ATS in their last four after a SU loss but just 3-9-1 ATS in their last 12 as a road underdog. Michigan is 18-6 ATS in their last 24 home games and are 10-1 ATS after a SU loss but are 1-4 ATS against teams with winning record. This one should play close. Take PURDUE! |
01-08-20 | Oklahoma +3.5 v. Texas | 72-62 | Win | 100 | 7 h 16 m | Show
Oklahoma at Texas 9:00 ET Sooners (+) over Longhorns- History of late does not favor the Sooners as they have yet to beat the Longhorns in Texas under Skaka Smart's reign going 0-5 SU. The ironic thing about this match-up is that they both have the exact same straight-up (10-3) and points spread records (4-9). The ATS records of these two is dismal with Oklahoma 0-6 ATS in their last six and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 while Texas is 2-8 ATS in their last 10. At 0-1 in conference Texas is 18-5 all-time in Big-12 openers. But there is a history in this series where the underdog is 12-3 ATS in the last 15 meetings with the road team 7-3 ATS. Take OKLAHOMA! |
01-08-20 | Illinois +4.5 v. Wisconsin | Top | 71-70 | Win | 100 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
Illinois at Wisconsin 9:00 ET Illini (+) over Badgers- After a shaky start to the season Wisconsin has put together four straight impressive wins including a 61-57 win at Ohio State last time out and a 20-point win over Tennessee. Made up the slack with two other centers down. Illinois has dropped 15 straight to the Badgers and just ended a 4-game losing streak with a great defensive effort against Purdue. Wisconsin has won all eight home games by double digits and yet with this series (15-0) streak going this 'price' is very cheap. Don't get sucked in the Wisconsin is coming off of their biggest win of the year. Take ILLINOIS! |
01-08-20 | Kansas v. Iowa State +5.5 | Top | 79-53 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
Kansas at Iowa State 8:00 ET Cyclones (+) over Jayhawks- The No. 3 Jayhawks have won seven of eight including a conference opening home win over West Virginia meanwhile Iowa State has dropped their last two including a 81-79 loss in overtime at Texas Christian. Kansas was able to overcome a 10-point Mountaineers lead and were led by center Udoka Azubuike who leads the nation in field goal percentage at 81.1. But Iowas State is 5-1 ATS in their last six after a SU loss and the Jayhawks are just 3-10 ATS on the road. Take IOWA STATE! |
01-07-20 | TCU +1.5 v. Kansas State | Top | 59-57 | Win | 100 | 7 h 56 m | Show |
TCU at Kansas State 9:00 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Wildcats- It is difficult to grasp how a team can play 13 games into January and have played just one true road game. TCU is 10-3 SU but only 4-8 ATS overall with their lone road game ending in a 62-60 loss at lowly Clemson. The Horned Frogs have shown point spread inconsistency going 1-7 ATS after a straight-up win. Kansas State doesn't seem to have the firepower of years past as they are just 7-6 SU and a miserable 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games and 2-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
01-07-20 | Baylor +4 v. Texas Tech | 57-52 | Win | 100 | 7 h 51 m | Show
Baylor at Texas Tech 9:00 ET Bears (+) over Red Raiders- How many of 'us' realize that Baylor is the No. 4 ranked team in the nation and have defeated three Top-25 ranked teams including Butler,Villanova and Arizona. Texas Tech who is 58-5 at home including 23-5 in Big-12 action but are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall and just 1-6 ATS ad favorites. Baylor who is 4-0 ATS in their last four road games is 3-1-1 ATS as a road dog and 11-5-1 ATS as an underdog in their last 17. Note that the dog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take BAYLOR! |
01-07-20 | Kentucky v. Georgia +3.5 | 78-69 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 48 m | Show
Kentucky at Georgia 9:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Wildcats- Georgia should be brimming with confidence after upsetting No. 9 Memphis on their home floor 65-62 as they look to host Kentucky in their SEC opener. The Wildcats opened conference play with a 71-59 win over Missouri after back-to back non-conference losses to Ohio State and Utah. After an extended home stand Kentucky has struggled their next time out on the road going 0-3-1 ATS. Georgia has responded when playing better clubs as they are 4-1 as a home underdog and the home team is 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings. Take GEORGIA! |
01-07-20 | Villanova +2 v. Creighton | 64-59 | Win | 100 | 7 h 38 m | Show
Villanova at Creighton 9:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Blue Jays- Villanova is a long way off from their National Championship years as they continue to struggle on the road where they are 1-9-1 ATS in their last 11 away from home and 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine overall. Creighton is 5-1 ATS in their last six overall including their last time out a loss to Butler and are 4-0 ATS as home favorites. Although the 'numbers' are ugly on the Wildcats side they are a more than respectable 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog. Big game experience will be the difference. Take VILLANOVA! |
01-07-20 | Ohio State +3 v. Maryland | 55-67 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 41 m | Show
Ohio State at Maryland 7:00 ET Buckeyes (+) over Terrapins- Both these clubs jumped out of the gate winners as the Buckeyes were 9-0 before tasting defeat and have dropped three of their last five. Ohio State started the same way last year and then lost five straight in January once Big Ten action was under way. Maryland won their first 10 before losing two straight before rebounding with a win over Indiana. OSU is 4-1 ATS in their last five as underdogs and are 9-3 ATS overall and Maryland is 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win and are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Take OHIO STATE! |
01-06-20 | West Virginia v. Oklahoma State +1 | Top | 55-41 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 36 m | Show |
West Virginia at Oklahoma State 9:00 ET Cowboys (+) over Mountaineers- West Virginia has already had a 'comeback' season at 11-2 as they were 15-21 under Bob Huggins. Oklahoma State was blown out in their Big-12 opener 85-50 by Texas Tech as they scored just 20 points in the second half but respond after defeats going 6-1 ATS following a straight-up loss. That fits well with against the Mountaineers who are 8-17-1 ATS in their last 26 games as a favorite and the fact that the Cowboys are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as an underdog. Take OKLAHOMA STATE! |
01-05-20 | Michigan v. Michigan State -9 | Top | 69-87 | Win | 100 | 1 h 1 m | Show |
Michigan at Michigan State 1:30 ET Spartans (-) over Wolverines- Wait a second here...my first thoughts when viewing this matchup is that the line is awful high considering the rivalry between these two schools. Then when I noticed that #13 Michigan the heavy underdog is ranked higher than the #16 Spartans and that peaks my interest. This 'price' draws even more thought when I see that Michigan is 10-4 AST as an underdog and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall, so why such a high line. After a rocky start Michigan State has reeled off six straight wins with the last winning by an average of 35.5 points. State is 21-10 ATS in their last 31 home game and are 23-8ATS against teams with winning percentage about .600. Take MICHIGAN STATE! |
01-04-20 | San Diego State v. Utah State -2.5 | 77-68 | Loss | -116 | 11 h 33 m | Show
San Diego State at Utah State 10:00 ET Aggies (+) over Aztecs- One of the two remaining undefeated teams No. 12 San Diego State travels to Logan to play Utah State who is undefeated 8-0 at home. The Aggies may have gotten caught in a look-ahead situation last time out as they fell at UNLV 70-53 and never really get it a shot. Last season's Mountain West Conference Player of the Year Sam Merrill was held to 10 points in Las Vegas and I expect a huge rebound game from him here. SDS is 5-0 ATS in their five road games as favorites but the home team is 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these two. Utah State is 5-2 ATS as home dogs and get the money here. Take UTAH STATE! |
01-04-20 | Missouri +8.5 v. Kentucky | 59-71 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 41 m | Show
Missouri at Kentucky 2:00 ET Tigers (+) over Wildcats- Kentucky is coming off of a 78-70 overtime win at home Saturday their tenth straight home game and they have a victory over then No. 1 Michigan State as well. Missouri who opened the season 4-4 with losses to Xavier, Butler and Illinois have now won four straight and are 6-1 ATS following a ATS win. The Wildcats are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and are 1-4 ATS against a team with a winning record. The bad news for Missouri is that the home team is 7-0 ATS in the past seven meetings. Still, the Tigers are now playing with confidence and will take this one down the the final buzzer. Take MISSOURI! |
01-04-20 | Iowa +3 v. Penn State | Top | 86-89 | Push | 0 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
Iowa vs Penn State 2:00 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Nittany Lions- Two more Top-25 ranked teams in the Big Ten hook-up at the Palestra in Philadelphia a place where neither of these two teams have much experience. Both clubs are on 4-game winning streaks with Penn State's biggest win over Maryland at home and Iowa has wins over Cincinnati and Minnesota. After that win State vaulted into the Top-25 the first time that they have been ranked since 1996. Iowa is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games on neutral sites while the Lions are 16-6-2 ATS in their last 24 games overall. The Hawkeyes are led by Big Ten leading scorer Luka Garza who is averaging 21.6 points and 10 rebounds per game. More big game experience for the Hawkeyes. Take IOWA! |
01-02-20 | St. Mary's v. San Francisco +3 | Top | 69-58 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
St. Mary's at San Francisco 11:00 ET Dons (+) over Gaels- Oh gone are the glory days of Bill Russell and K.C. Jones (some need to look that up) when the Dons ruled the college basketball world. Still, at 11-4 San Francisco has become more respectable and are looking to compete in the West Coast conference against the likes of Gonzaga, Brigham Young and tonight St. Mary's. The Gaels have won four straight and 9-of-10 with the lone loss to No. 20 Dayton and are undefeated since. San Francisco is off of an overtime loss to a tough Harvard team but are 3-0 ATS in the last three meetings at home and the home team is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
01-02-20 | Oregon v. Colorado +110 | Top | 65-74 | Win | 110 | 8 h 39 m | Show |
Oregon at Colorado 9:00 ET Buffaloes (+) over Ducks- This is the Pac-12 opener for both squads with identical 11-2 records but that's where the likeness ends. Oregon is ranked No. 6 in the nation while Colorado isn't even on the pollsters radar. The Buffs lead the series 11-8 including 8-0 in Boulder winning last season 73-51. Their is a conflict of trends surrounding this game as the Ducks are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 road games but the Buffaloes are 7-1 ATS as a home underdogs and the home teams is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Take COLORADO! |
01-02-20 | Oregon State +2.5 v. Utah | 69-81 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 3 m | Show
Oregon State at Utah 8:30 ET Beavers (+) over Utes- Opening Pac-12 game for both these clubs and they enter with impressive records. Oregon State at 10-2 brings in the conferences second leading scorer in senior forward Tres Tinkle averaging 20.4 points per contest and making 49.1% of his 3-point attempts. Utah has a 18-13 series advantage and are 13-2 at home against the Beavers but Oregon State won last year and they do it again tonight. Take OREGON STATE! |
12-30-19 | Harvard v. San Francisco -5 | Top | 84-81 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 12 m | Show |
Harvard at San Francisco 9:00 ET Dons (-) over Crimson- Sunday I thought it odd that Harvard was favored on the road against a Pac-12 team in California and they delivered with a 71-63 win over the Golden Bears. Now, Harvard going to San Francisco where the Dons have struggled as a home favorite 3-8 ATS and the Crimson are 21-5-1 ATS as road underdogs. But, what gets me here is that the Crimson are favored and defeat a Pac-12 club and yet come up and underdog against a West Coast Conference team. Take SAN FRANCISCO |
12-30-19 | Seton Hall +2 v. DePaul | 74-66 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show
Seton Hall at DePaul 8:30 ET Pirates (+) over Blue Demons- This is a comeback in epic proportions as DePaul has pulled themselves up from the depths and are 12-1 on the season. The Blue Demons who went three years winning only four Big East conference games are hosting Seton Hall who has the Big East's preseason player of the year in Myles Powell. Powell has missed the last two games (both wins) because of concession protocol and status is still questionable. This is the Big East opener for both and the Pirates are 7-2 ATS in conference openers under coach Kevin Willard. The Demons have made a leap this season but fall short here. Take SETON HALL! |
12-29-19 | Arkansas +6 v. Indiana | 71-64 | Win | 100 | 5 h 16 m | Show
Arkansas at Indiana 6:00 ET Razorbacks (+) over Hoosiers- A pair of unranked teams with each with a single loss meet for the third time in the past year with Arkansas winning the regular season match last November and Indiana getting the best of the Razorbacks in the NIT. Not only are their records similar but both teams received the lone losses on December 7 and neither has played since winning on December 21. For Arkansas the trends are not very pretty as they are 1-5 ATS in their last six overall and they are 0-5 ATS after a straight-up win while the Hoosiers are 5-1 ATS at home. The tide turns here...take ARKANSAS! |
12-29-19 | Harvard -3 v. California | Top | 71-63 | Win | 100 | 5 h 17 m | Show |
Harvard at California 6:00 ET Crimson (-) over Golden Bears- Really now...it seems a bit 'off' that in this meeting of the 'minds' has Harvard an Ivy League school favored on the road 3,000 miles from home against a major conference the Pac-12. This even becomes more interesting when 'we' see that the Bears are 6-1 SU at home and the Crimson are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games. This one smells worst than Boston's and Berkley's politics. Take HARVARD! |
12-23-19 | Washington v. Hawaii +7 | 72-61 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 42 m | Show
Washington at Hawaii 11:00 ET Rainbow Warriors (+) over Huskies- The Diamond head Classic will pit Washington against host Hawaii and like football when team get to the 'Islands' they juts seem to lose focus on why they are there. To start with here the Huskies are 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games while Hawaii are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games. Washington has won their last two following a hard fought loss against Gonzaga and may actually lose this game on the floor (take the points). Take HAWAII! |
12-22-19 | Yale +5 v. Clemson | Top | 54-45 | Win | 100 | 3 h 28 m | Show |
Yale at Clemson 4:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- The first thing that drew me to this contest is that an ACC club is such a meager favorite over an Ivy League school. I mean Yale is 9-3 and has won six straight but hasn't played since December 11 when they defeated U Mass. The Bulldogs have three losses two of which came against major conferences as they lost to Oklahoma State and Penn State before starting their current win streak. Clemson had lost four straight before upending mighty Jacksonville. Tigers have no bite and the claws don't exist. Tae YALE! |
12-21-19 | Northwestern +5.5 v. DePaul | 78-83 | Win | 100 | 9 h 32 m | Show
Northwestern at DePaul 8:30 ET Wildcats (+) over Blue Demons- This is a battle of Chicago schools and right now it appears that DePaul has the edge sporting an 11-1 SU record while Northwestern is struggling at 5-5. The home team is 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings but the Wildcats have been favored in the last six meetings. That will be the difference here as their roles have been reversed. This time the dog once again gets the money. Take NORTHWESTERN! |
12-21-19 | Creighton v. Arizona State -3 | 67-60 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 26 m | Show
Creighton at Arizona State 8:30 ET Sun Devils (+) over Bluejays- Creighton enters this fray on a four-game winning streak while the Sun Devils are off of an embarrassing 40-point loss to St. Mary's. The Bluejays are a bit under-sized and are averaging 79 points per game but are 1-2 SU on the road while the Sun Devils are 29-6 in regular non-conference games in the past three seasons including 18-1 at home. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
12-21-19 | San Diego State -5.5 v. Utah | Top | 80-52 | Win | 100 | 7 h 37 m | Show |
San Diego State vs Utah 6:30 ET Aztecs (-) over Utes- Undefeated and No. 20 ranked San Diego State (11-0) gets a shot at Utah who is fresh off of an upset win Wednesday night over Kentucky. The Utes shot 55% for that game including 60% with 3-pointers and I don't expect them to have that kind of success against State's defense which ranks 13th nationally surrendering just 56/6 points per contest while holding opponents to 36.7% field goal rate and just 25.8% froM behind the arc. Take SAN DIEGO STATE! |
12-21-19 | Purdue +2.5 v. Butler | Top | 61-70 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
Purdue vs Butler 2:30 ET Boilermakers (+) over Bulldogs- No. 1y Butler has just one blemish on their record as they dropped a 53-52 decision at No. 10 Baylor and have shown grit in that loss. Purdue at 7-4 has player the tougher schedule and have defeated then undefeated and No. 7 ranked Virginia. The Boilermakers rely on their defense that allows opponents just 59 points per game and they hold opponents to 24 percent shooting from behind the arc. Take PURDUE! |
12-21-19 | Kansas v. Villanova +2.5 | 55-56 | Win | 100 | 1 h 18 m | Show
Kansas at Villanova 12:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Jayhawks- No. 1 Kansas is riding a nine game winning streak and haven't lost since opening night to Duke while Villanova has won four straight after a rough start but are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Jayhawks are 5-0 ATS in their last five games and the visitor is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings but the underdog is 5-2 in the last seven meetings. This is a game that the Wildcats have had circled on their schedule and they will be ready today. Take VILLANOVA! |
12-19-19 | Maryland v. Seton Hall +6.5 | 48-52 | Win | 100 | 7 h 23 m | Show
Maryland at Seton Hall 7:00 ET Pirates (+) over Terrapins- I was so looking forward to this match-up as Seton Hall is one of my 'dark horse' clubs that could surprise opponents all season. But, an issue has come up with the Concession suffered by their leading scorer and best all-around player Myles Powell who is averaging 21.2 points per game. Maryland is off of their first loss of the season to Penn State (Megabucks winner) while the Pirates are off of a loss to Rutgers (Money Game winner). With or without Powell the Big East Player of the Year the Pirates are the side as they are 7-1 ATS at home as an underdog and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Take SETON HALL! |
12-18-19 | St. Mary's +1 v. Arizona State | 96-56 | Win | 100 | 8 h 32 m | Show
St Mary's vs. Arizona State 9:00 ET Gaels over Sun Devils- Arizona State behind coach Bobby Hurley has one of the top duals in the country with forward Romello White and one of the nation's top point-guards in Remy Martin who is averaging 20.3 points while shooting 46% from the field. St. Mary's has one of the top guards as well in Jordan Ford who is averaging 20.4 points while shooting 50.3% from the field. The fact that the Gaels are favored in Arizona raises my eyebrows. Take ST. MARY'S! |
12-18-19 | North Carolina +13 v. Gonzaga | 81-94 | Push | 0 | 8 h 31 m | Show
North Carolina at Gonzaga 9:00 ET Tar Heels (+) over Bulldogs- These national powers are moving in opposite directions as North Carolina has dropped their last three and No. 2 Gonzaga has won three straight after getting blown out by Michigan 82-64. The Tar Heels are beset with injuries and cold shooting but have defeated the Bulldogs in their last three meetings. Bad news for the Tar Heels is that are 6-17-1 ATS in their last 24 games as a road underdog but coaching and pride will keep this one close. Take NORTH CAROLINA! |
12-18-19 | Tennessee v. Cincinnati +2 | Top | 66-78 | Win | 100 | 6 h 34 m | Show |
Tennessee at Cincinnati Bearcats (+) over Volunteers- Both of these clubs are coming off of losses with Tennessee losing to Memphis at home while the Bearcats lost at home against Colgate. The Volunteers who play great defense is shooting just 42% from the floor and have yet to allow 70 points to an opponent this season. The Bearcats had a five-point lead with just over a minute to go and allowed Colgate to score the final six points for a 67-66 loss. Tennessee is 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall while Cincinnati is just 2-10 in their last 12 as an underdog and only 8-23 ATS in their last 31 games overall. These trends are ugly on each side but I'll take the home dog here. Take CINCINNATI! |
12-17-19 | Oklahoma +3.5 v. Creighton | 73-83 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Oklahoma at Creighton 8:30 ET Sooners (+) over Blue Jays- Neither of these clubs are trending in the right direction as Oklahoma is 1-5 ATS in the last six overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games while Creighton is 2-6 ATS following a SU win and are 1-5 ATS at home against teams with winning records. The Bluejays are 7-0 at home this season and are coming off of a 31-point win over Texas Rio Grande Valley but will be facing tougher competition tonight who lost to Wichita State 80-75 as they faltered in the final minutes. This time they finish the task. Take OKLAHOMA! |

12-15-19 | Oklahoma State v. Houston -6.5 | 61-55 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 32 m | Show
Oklahoma State at Houston 3:00 ET Cougars (-) over Cowboys- OK State was cruising along at 7-0 and then lost point guard Isaac Likekele to illness and have dropped their last two to Georgetown and Wichita State. Houston meanwhile has won four straight behind 6'5” guard Nate Hinton who leads the Cougars in points and rebounds. Houston is 38-2 SU in their last 40 games at home and is ranked 10th nationally in offensive rebounds averaging 14.5 per contest. After coming off of a point spread loss it is good to note that Houston is 15-5-1 ATS. Take the COUGARS! |
12-15-19 | NC State v. NC-Greensboro +2.5 | Top | 80-77 | Loss | -109 | 3 h 54 m | Show |
N.C State at NC Greensboro 3:00 ET Spartans (+) over Wolfpack- Now, does this seem right? An 7-2 ACC school like NC State is a meager favorite at Greensboro and that just doesn't look right. State has won three of the last four meetings but covered on once and the Wolfpack is 0-5 ATS when play a team with a better than .500 record. Greensboro id 4-0-1 ATS in their last five as a home underdog and this 'price' is way to shallow. Take the SPARTANS! |
12-14-19 | Gonzaga v. Arizona -130 | Top | 84-80 | Loss | -130 | 11 h 21 m | Show |
Gonzaga at Arizona 10:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Bulldogs- A great matchup in the West where a pair of 10-1 teams face-off in Tempe in what could be a match of potential respective conference winners. No. 6 Gonzaga's lone loss came against Michigan while the No. 14 Wildcats were handed their lone loss at Baylor and have dropped four of their last five ATS. The rap on both these squads especially Gonzaga is the quality of schedule played. The Bulldogs have won the last three meetings including a 91-74 home win over the Wildcats last season. Cats get their revenge here. Take ARIZONA! |
12-14-19 | Oklahoma +5 v. Wichita State | 75-80 | Push | 0 | 7 h 57 m | Show
Oklahoma at Wichita State 6:00 ET Sooners (+) over Shockers- Wichita State No 22 in the nation has a beef to settle against the Sooners who have won the last two meetings and demolished the Shockers 80-48 when they last met last in December 80-48. State's lone loss came at the hands of West Virginia but they do own a win over Oklahoma State and are aware that they have never defeated both Oklahoma schools in the same season. The Sooners are 12-5-3 ATS in their last 20 road games while Wichita is 18-7-2 ATS in their last 27 games overall and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight at home...no matter take OKLAHOMA! |
12-14-19 | Seton Hall v. Rutgers +3 | Top | 48-68 | Win | 100 | 5 h 26 m | Show |
Seton Hall at Rutgers 4:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Pirates- No. 22 Seton Hall is slipping fast having lost two of their last four games against solid competition and now they are without Sandro Mamukelashvili (go ahead try and pronounce that) who is their leading rebounder , shooter and second in scoring. Rutgers on the other hand has a balanced attack that has nine different players seeing at least 10 minutes playing time each game. This is a bit of a rivalry and the underdog is 19-7 ARS in their last 26 meetings. Take RUTGERS! |
12-14-19 | Syracuse +3 v. Georgetown | 79-89 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 11 m | Show
Syracuse at Georgetown 1:00 ET Orange (+) over Hoyas- Georgetown opened the season with four straight losses and then dismissed three players who were involved in bad stuff and then they went out and defeated Texas and have gone 4-1 ATS since including roads wins over Oklahoma State and SMU. Now, the Hoyas are hosting Syracuse an old rival (95 meetings) that just broke a 3-game losing streak with a win over Georgia Tech. And as thing would have it two more players defected from the Hoyas program Friday which leaves them with seven scholarship players. The road team is 10-2 ATS along with the underdog which is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Take SYRACUSE! |
12-14-19 | Oregon +3.5 v. Michigan | 71-70 | Win | 100 | 2 h 38 m | Show
Oregon at Michigan 12:00 ET Ducks (+) over Wolverines- A Pair of ranked teams that don't usually meet are playing in Michigan as the Pac-12 and the Big Ten clash in challenging early season schedules. No. 13 Oregon (7-2) is playing their fifth ranked team already this season having defeated Memphis and Seton Hall and dropping contests against Gonzaga in overtime and North Carolina.Michigan who we played against lost time Illinois last time out and at 8-2 are ranked No.7 defeating Gonzaga and North Carolina while losing to No.1 Louisville. The Ducks are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games while the Wolverines are 16-5 ATS at home. Tough call but today it's...OREGON! |
12-11-19 | Fresno State -115 v. California | 63-69 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 15 m | Show
Fresno State at California 10:00 ET Bulldogs over California- California opened the season with four straight wins but new head coach Mark Fox said that he isn't surprised that they have lost four of their last five. With an attitude like that about his own team I don't believe they are going to have a good year. So here is a Pac-12 team at home with a 5-4 SU record an underdog at home against a 2-6 Mountain West team. Really...take FRESNO STATE! |
12-11-19 | Michigan v. Illinois -117 | 62-71 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show
Michigan at Illinois 9:00 ET Illini (+) over Wolverines- No. 7 Michigan has been impressive so far defeating then No. 6 Gonzaga and No.16 North Carolina and now look to go 2-0 in Big Ten action after a 103-91 win over Iowa. Illinois has a freshman named Kofi Cockburn as Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the 3rd time this season despite the Illini losing to Miami-Fl and Maryland. Although the Wolverines has shot above 50% from the field in six games this season but will have to contend with the No. 1 rebounding team in the country who is also No.1 in offensive rebounds. Take ILLINOIS! |
12-11-19 | Boise State +3 v. Tulsa | 56-69 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 9 m | Show
Boise State at Tulsa 8:00 ET Broncos (+) over Golden Hurricanes- Tulsa just had their six-game winning streak snapped by Arkansas State on Saturday as well as a 19-game non-conference homes game ended. Golden Hurricane coach Frank Haith has had to use four different line-ups rotating nine players and still hasn't found the combination he needs. Boise State has the leading MWC scorer in Derrick Alston Jr. who is averaging 21.4 points and has scored at least 20 points in all but one game. Meanwhile, Tulsa is just 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games as a favorite and the Broncos are 5-0 ATRS in the last five overall. Take BOISE STATE! |
12-10-19 | Butler v. Baylor -5.5 | 52-53 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 36 m | Show
Butler at Baylor 9:00 ET Bears (-) over Bulldogs- These two are a pair of my favorites clubs to 'back' and zI hate when I have to 'fade' either one of them. Undefeated (9-0) No. 19 Butler is 7-2 ATS on the season with a huge win last time out 76-62 over Florida. No.11 Baylor has reeled off six straight wins including a win Saturday 63-58 over Arizona with their losses against ranked Gonzaga and Washington. This appears to me to be an especially 'high' number as the Bulldogs are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall and because Baylor is 3-7-1 in their last 11 as a home favorite. Yet this is just Butler's second true road game and that will hurt them here, Take BAYLOR! |
12-10-19 | Brown +11.5 v. St. John's | 71-82 | Win | 100 | 7 h 34 m | Show
Brown at St. John's 7:00 ET Bears (+) over Red Storm- At 8-2 most would believe that St. john's will be competitive this season but a closer look tells us they have only one win (West Virginia) against a team with a winning record. The seven other teams that the Red Storm have defeated have a 20-41 straight-up record but are 52-25 SU against the Ivy League. Brown (5-4) who has yet to 'Cover' 0-6 ATS on the road but are 6-1 ATS after a straight-up loss while St. John's si 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS win. Take BROWN! |
12-10-19 | Maryland v. Penn State +1 | Top | 69-76 | Win | 100 | 7 h 36 m | Show |
Maryland at Penn State 7:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Terrapins- No. 4 Maryland spotted Illinois and 19-point lead and then battled back for a 59-58 win and are off to their best start (10-0) in 20 years. Penn State who won seven of their first nine games this season but were pounded by Ohio State last time out. The Nittany Lions have won the last three meetings and the home team has won the last six meetings. Add that Penn State is 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games as an underdog and are 14-4-2 ATS in their last 20 games overall. Take PENN STATE! |
12-08-19 | Gonzaga v. Washington +4.5 | Top | 83-76 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
Gonzaga at Washington 7:00 ET Huskies (+) over Bulldogs- The Battle for the Great Northwest will take place in Seattle where No. 22 Washington will host No. 9 Gonzaga. The Huskies hold a 29-18 series edge that started in 1910 but the Bulldogs have won 12 of the last 13 meetings. The Zags are just 2-5 ATS in road games and as road favorites while the Huskies are just 1-5 ATS in their last six as home underdogs. Washington's only loss came against No. 20 Tennessee in Toronto but they posted a win overNo. 16 Baylor 67-64 while Gonzaga's lone loss came against Michigan in Atlantis. Take WASHINGTON! |
12-07-19 | Penn State +7.5 v. Ohio State | Top | 74-106 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 53 m | Show |
Penn State at Ohio State 12:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Buckeyes- Ohio Shocked the ACC world by going to North Carolina and dismantling the No. 7 Tar Heels 74-49 to move to 8-0 on the season. Both these clubs pride themselves on their defense as Ohio State holds their opponents 10-points below their season's average and the Lions allow just 61.8 points per game. Coming off of such a huge win over Carolina the Buckeyes should be a bit full of themselves and may get caught in a Big Ten conference game. Take PENN STATE! |
12-06-19 | Providence -120 v. Rhode Island | 61-75 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 0 m | Show
Providence at Rhode Island 7:00 ET Friars over Rams- Both of these clubs have underachieved from what is expected of the to date. Rhode Island returned all five starters on an 18-win team from last year and Providence who was pick to finish among the leaders in the Big East and according to coach Ed Cooley has a chance to be something 'special'. Stats which can be very mis-leading tell us that the home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings and the Friars are 0-6 ATS in their last six road games and yet they opened as the favorite here as the Rams are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight as a home underdog. Take PROVIDENCE! |
12-03-19 | Duke v. Michigan State -6 | 87-75 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 1 m | Show
Duke at Michigan State 9:30 ET Spartans (-) over Blue Devils- The Big Ten/ACC Challenge continues in East Lansing tonight as No.8 Duke (7-1) is up against No.12 Michigan State. To start with this 'price' seems a bit high for a lower ranked team favored like this against a Top-10 ranked club especially when you consider that Duke is 4-0 in this Challenge matchup and that the Blue Devils are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 against the Big Ten. Michigan State is 18-8 ATS in their last 26 home games and should be able to handle a team that lost at home to Stephen F. Austin. This is the first true road game for Duke and they will play accordingly. Take MICHIGAN STATE! |
12-03-19 | Northwestern +3.5 v. Boston College | 82-64 | Win | 100 | 6 h 28 m | Show
Northwestern at Boston College 7:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Eagles- A pair of struggling clubs that don't have much of a resume to date where Northwestern is 3-3 with losses to Merrimack and Radford by double-digits on their home floor and Boston College has lost three straight and four of five and are 0-5 ATS in that span. Consider this, The Eagles have Notre Dame up next and be it football, basketball or pitching pennies when those two Jesuits schools meet it is like a Holy War. BC is distracted...Take NORTHWESTERN! |
12-03-19 | Butler v. Ole Miss -115 | Top | 67-58 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 38 m | Show |
Butler at Mississippi 7:00 ET Rebels over Bulldogs- Now, if this one doesn't make you scratch your head you haven't been paying attention. No. 24 Butler is 7-0 and a respectable 5-2 ATS while Mississippi is off of a 41-point loss to Oklahoma State 78-37 as a beaten 2-point favorite. The Bulldogs just defeated Stanford 68-67 to win the Hall of Fame Classic and now play their first true road of game of the season. Mississippi who is a 3-point shooting team was just 1-of-20 from beyond the arc against the Cowboys and look to improve at home where they are 4-0 SU. Take MISSISSIPPI! |
12-01-19 | Wake Forest +12 v. Arizona | 66-73 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show
Wake Forest vs Arizona 9:00 ET Demon Deacons (+) over Wildcats- No.14 Arizona is an impressive 8-0 on the season going 5-3 ATS and are striving for their first Wooden Legacy in Anaheim, California. Wake Forest is a respectable 5-2 on the season and 3-0 SU and ATS on neutral sites. The last time these two met was in New York 15 years ago so their should be little motive for revenge as the Deacons prevailed 63-60 as a beaten 6-point favorite. This time it stays close once again. Take WAKE FOREST! |
11-29-19 | Ole Miss -113 v. Oklahoma State | Top | 37-78 | Loss | -113 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
Mississippi vs. Oklahoma State 9:30 ET Rebels over Cowboys- The NIT Season Tip-off championship will pit Mississippi (5-1) and undefeated Oklahoma State (6-0) and will be played at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Rebels will be playing another undefeated club here and opened a small favorite and will most likely go off as an underdog. The Rebels have the 'mojo' as they came back from a 21-point deficit to defeat Penn State 74-72 and get it done once again. Take MISSISSIPPI! |
11-28-19 | NC State -125 v. Memphis | Top | 78-83 | Loss | -125 | 6 h 50 m | Show |
N.C. State vs Memphis 4:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Tigers- Both clubs enter this fray 5-1 and 3-3 ATS to date with all the fanfare going to Memphis because of the fuss over All-American James Wiseman being eligible or not (for now it's not). This game fits the bill that 'Jerry' points out has an unranked team North Carolina State favored over a ranked team No. 20 Memphis. Somehow when this scenario occurs the unranked team becomes the play. This is the first of its kind on the season and let us see what happens this year. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE! |
11-27-19 | Ole Miss +2.5 v. Penn State | 74-72 | Win | 100 | 6 h 35 m | Show
Mississippi vs Penn State 5:00 ET Rebels (+) over Nittany Lions- Penn State who has been on the wrong end of more basketball decisions then they would like to admit are 5-0 and 4-1 ATS after getting by Yale 58-56 to open the season. Mississippi at 4-1 incurred their lone loss to No.20 Memphis 87-86 (Money Game winner) as the live and die with the 3-pointer. The Rebels throw up 20 3-pointers a game and are shooting 46% overall. Take MISSISSIPPI! |
11-26-19 | Wisconsin v. New Mexico +6 | Top | 50-59 | Win | 100 | 6 h 51 m | Show |
Wisconsin vs New Mexico 5:00 ET Lobos (+) over Badgers- Just like in football this season Wisconsin is not up too the usual standard that we expect out of this program. Monday, the Badgers fell 62-52 against Richmond and shooting a season low 34% from the floor and committed a season -high 15 turnovers. New Mexico on the other hand is 15th in the nation in field goal percentage at 51.5 and have five players scoring in double figures. Take the LOBOS! |
11-25-19 | BYU +1.5 v. UCLA | Top | 78-63 | Win | 100 | 11 h 60 m | Show |
Brigham Young vs. UCLA 11:30 ET Cougars (+) over Bruins- Ah Hawaii, the site of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational pits a pair of West coast clubs from California and Utah clash in a neutral setting. ULCA is coming off of a 1-point loss to Hofstra and I am pissed that 'we' passed by it but the story be told the Bruins are not a powerhouse this season. BYU is also off of a loss but their's came in overtime against Boise State.UCLA coach Mick Cronin admitted that the Bruins got exposed by the Flying Dutchman. Take BYU! |
11-24-19 | Villanova v. Baylor +1.5 | 78-87 | Win | 100 | 5 h 17 m | Show
Villanova vs Baylor 5:00 ET Bears (+) over Wildcats- No. 16 Villanova doesn't appear to be as strong as recent seasons past but they are 4-1 SU and have won six straight in season tournaments. Balance is the key for the Wildcats posting six different players in double figures lead by Robinson-Earl with 14.2 points per game. After playing his worst game of the season the Bears leading scorer Jared Butler is looking to bounce back in a big way. Take BAYLOR! |
11-24-19 | Miami-FL +2 v. Connecticut | 55-80 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 16 m | Show
Miami vs Connecticut 1:00 ET Hurricanes (+) over Huskies- Connecticut has been good to 'us' covering twice as an underdog getting the money against Xavier (+4.5) 74-75 and (+4) OUTRIGHT over Florida. Miami is well coached behind Jim Larranaga while the Huskies will now counter with Danny Hurley. Connecticut finds them selves in a different role here as the favorite and it may be a bit too much. Take MIAMI! |
11-23-19 | Ole Miss +4.5 v. Memphis | Top | 86-87 | Win | 100 | 1 h 16 m | Show |
Mississippi at Memphis 1:00 ET Rebels (+) over Tigers- Okay, we all know the story by now that James Wiseman's NCAA career will probably be less then 20 games after his 12-game suspension was handed down. No. 20 Memphis and has just one upperclassman on the floor and will mature as the season progresses. Mississippi is 4-0 and this 'price' is very short as they have won all four games by double-digits.Take MISSISSIPPI! |
11-22-19 | Xavier v. Connecticut +5 | Top | 75-74 | Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show |
Xavier at Connecticut 9:30 ET Huskies (+) over Musketeers- Connecticut is returning to the Big East in 2020 and gets to face a future conference opponent with No. 21 ranked Xavier in Charleston, SC. The Musketeers are 5-0 SU but only 1-4 ATS and are playing Connecticut for the first time since 1990-91 NCAA Tournament before they joined and after the Huskies left the conference. UConn coach Dan Hurley has the Huskies on the upswing...take CONNECTICUT! |
11-22-19 | Houston +7 v. Oregon | 66-78 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 48 m | Show
Houston at Oregon 9:00 ET Cougars (+) over Ducks- No. 11 Oregon is meeting all expectations at 4-0 and last played Sunday as they crushed under-manned Texas Arlington 67-47 and Houston is off a 97-89 win over cross-town rival Rice. Last season the Cougars drowned the Ducks in Houston taking a 20-point lead and held on for a 65-61 victory. Both clubs have been hit hard by graduation but have reloaded this prized recruits this season. This should come down to the final horn. Take HOUSTON! |
11-22-19 | Utah State v. LSU +1.5 | 80-78 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 40 m | Show
Utah State vs Louisiana State 7:00 ET Tigers (+) over Aggies- No. 16 Utah State enters this fray in Montego Bay in the Caribbean 5-0 and 3-2 ATS while LSU is 3-1 and trying to reload after losing seven contributors from last year's Sweet-16 club. Returning for the Tigers is coach Will Wade who was suspended for recruiting improprieties along with senior guard Skyler Mays leading a top-6 rotation. Take LOUISIANA STATE! |
11-17-19 | Florida v. Connecticut +4.5 | 59-62 | Win | 100 | 4 h 24 m | Show
Florida at Connecticut 4:00 ET Huskies (+) over Gators- One of the reasons handicapping NCAA basketball early in the season is so difficult is because of the media's influence with their opinion on teams ratings. This often comes into conflict with a teams actual abilities and the Vegas odds. Florida opened the year ranked No. 6 and haven't met expectations at 2-1 SU and 0-3 ATS and are playing their first road games today. Connecticut is 8-1 the past two seasons when playing home games at Gampel Pavilion. Take the HUSKIES! |
11-15-19 | Minnesota +5.5 v. Utah | Top | 69-73 | Win | 100 | 9 h 45 m | Show |
Minnesota at Utah 9:00 ET Golden Gophers (+) over Utes- Utah won for fun last time out defeating Mississippi Valley State 143-49 after running out to a 70-20 halftime lead. That means the Utes scored more points in the second half which started with a 50-point lead. I believe the competition will become a little tougher tonight. Minnesota opened with a win at home over Cleveland State but have lost a pair of away games to Oklahoma and Butler ( Megabucks winner). The Golden Gophers defeated the Utes last season 78-69 and have held opponents to just 61.7 points per games this season. Take MINNESOTA! |
11-14-19 | Michigan State v. Seton Hall +6 | 76-73 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show
Michigan State at Seton Hall 8:30 ET Pirates (+) over Spartans- It has been a tough opening week for Michigan State as the nation's first No. 1 ranked team suffered an opening loss to Kentucky and then the day before their second game against Birmingham Spartans All-American senior guard Cassius Winston's younger brother died. MSU coach Tom Izzo is trying to rally his club emotionally but they will be playing with heavy hearts. Seton Hall ranked No. 12 may be without start guard Myles Powell who sprained his ankle on Saturday. No, matter... Take SETON HALL! |
11-13-19 | Villanova v. Ohio State -118 | Top | 51-76 | Win | 100 | 6 h 18 m | Show |
Villanova at Ohio State 7:00 ET Buckeyes over Wildcats- A great early season match-up has a pair of undefeated ranked teams going at it in Columbus where No. 16 Ohio State will take on No. 10 Villanova. The Wildcats opened their season eight days ago by crushing Army 97-54 hardly an opponent to build a resume. The Buckeyes have won their two game both at home opening with a win over a tough Cincinnati squad 64-56 getting the win and cover. Although the Wildcats are 11-3 ATS against the Big Ten they are 0-5 ATS in their last true five road games. Take OHIO STATE! |
11-13-19 | LSU v. VCU -2.5 | 82-84 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 22 m | Show
L.S.U. at V.C.U. 6:00 ET Rams over Tigers- This is a homecoming of sorts for LSU coach Will Wade who led VCU to a pair of NCAA berths in his two seasons there before leaving for LSU. The Tigers dominated the SEC last season going 16-2 and were defeated in the Sweet-16 losing to Michigan and they have a huge attrition problem. Gone are four starters a pair of starting guards and forwards for the Tigers and that may be just too much to overcome. On the flip side the Rams return four starters all of whom averaged double-figures last season for a club that won 25 games last season. Take VCU. |
11-12-19 | Minnesota v. Butler -7.5 | 56-64 | Win | 100 | 8 h 9 m | Show
Minnesota at Butler 8:30 ET Bulldogs (-) over Golden Gophers- Let me start by saying that I thought this was a 'high' price to pay if you wanted to take the Bulldogs and that was before I realized that they are playing at a neutral site. Butler is 2-0 with a pair of 'covers' against local junior varsities while Minnesota was defeated by Oklahoma 71-62. It doesn't seem reasonable for this 'number' being this high other than the offs makers expect the Bulldogs to bite. Take BUTLER! |
11-05-19 | Kansas -130 v. Duke | Top | 66-68 | Loss | -130 | 4 h 47 m | Show |
Kansas vs. Duke 7:00 ET Jayhawks over Blue Devils- Duke lost three Top-10 players to the NBA draft and have reloaded under Mike Krzyzewski entering his 40th year at the helm fo the No. 4 ranked Blue Devils. It looks like the Devils will rotate 11 players to start the season whereas the Jayhawks will ride senior center Udoka Azubuike who returns after seeing action in just nine games last season and Kansas is 47-9 straight-up in is 56 career starts. They Jayhawks have added Iowa graduate transfer shooting guard Isaiah Moss a former Michigan commit Jalen Wilson the pieces needed to contend for the title this season. I remember last year's opener...Duke 118, Kentucky 84 not this time. Take KANSAS! |
04-08-19 | Texas Tech v. Virginia -120 | Top | 77-85 | Win | 100 | 28 h 16 m | Show |
Texas Tech vs. Virginia 9:06 ET Cavaliers over Red Raiders- I expect that like last Saturday the majority of the action to be on Tech Tech as UNLV dies thinking about what could have been. I am not referring to the 'action' in Nevada but the reason behind Chris Beard's short 10-day stint with UNLV. (I ask my Vegas buddies if he stayed with the Rebels would they be in the Final-4...HA. Beard found out the program out here is a sham and left as quickly as he could). Having lost last season as a No. 1 seed to a 16-seed makes this a storyline for Virginia and although Tech is 'really good' I believe the Cavaliers poise and big games experience will be the difference. Take VIRGINIA! |
04-06-19 | Texas Tech +2.5 v. Michigan State | 61-51 | Win | 100 | 31 h 40 m | Show
Texas Tech vs. Michigan State 6:09 ET Red Raiders (+) over Spartans- This should be a great one as Michigan State comes down off of the beating of Duke everybody's favorite to win the tournament while Texas Tech who won the Big-12 regular season title in making their first Final-Four appearance after taking down Gonzaga while Tom Izzo personally is making his eighth appearance. Both clubs are on fantastic ATS runs as Tech is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 and the Spartans are 26-9 ATS in their last 35 games overall. This is a game that should go down to the final buzzer and the points have value but may not even Be needed. Take TEXAS TECH! |
04-06-19 | Auburn v. Virginia UNDER 131.5 | 62-63 | Win | 100 | 28 h 53 m | Show
Auburn vs Virginia 6:10 ET Tigers/Cavaliers (UNDER)- Although the Tigers like to push the ball up court they may have trouble beating the Cavaliers down the court for any easy baskets. Well coached Auburn plays tough defense as well and I don't expect eight clubs to get many really 'good' looks at the hoop. With Virginia's methodical and deliberate approach on offense points will come at a premium. Play this game UNDER! |
04-06-19 | Auburn v. Virginia -5 | Top | 62-63 | Loss | -115 | 28 h 5 m | Show |
Auburn vs Virginia 6:09 ET Cavaliers (-) over Tigers- Auburn is riding the longest win streak at 12 among the Final-Four having defeated NCAA powerhouses Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky and now face what many believe is the weakest of the four No. 1 seeds in Virginia. The Tigers have depth and they will need it as their top player Chuma Okeke is out as they face one of the nation's top defenses. Virginia allows only 55.4 points per contest while Auburn is surrendering almost 71 points per game. Following trends won't help much as the Tigers are 8-2 ATS in their last 11 while the Cavaliers are 45-20-1 ATS in their last 66 overall. That is a stronger resume...take VIRGINIA! |

04-04-19 | Lipscomb +1.5 v. Texas | Top | 66-81 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
Lipscomb vs Texas 7:00 ET Bisons over Longhorns- Some might think that if Bisons and Longhorns are to be playing in should be somewhere on the range in Texas, but playing in New York City is not so unusual where you realize that Madison Square Garden hosts plenty of exotic animals during the rodeo and circus (since banned). Texas has had to win four games in the post-season to raise above .500 on the year as they played with turmoil and suspensions and an underachieving season. Lipscomb has won eight of nine straight-up and is 4-0 ATS in their last four. These two met a year ago in Texas where the Longhorns won 80-57 and now they are a virtual pick-em in NYC. Take LIPSCOMB! |
04-03-19 | South Florida v. DePaul -5.5 | 96-100 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 37 m | Show
South Florida at DePaul 8:00 ET Blue Demons (-) over Bulls- Top seeded DePaul showed some girth coming back from an 11-point deficit in game one only to fall short by a bucket 63-61 and are now just 1-5 ATS in their last six outings. South Florida who had lost six straight ATS at home before the CBI started has won their last four going 3-0 ATS in the last three. Now here's the clincher South Florida is 9-0 SU and ATS in the last nine meetings with the Blue Demons. So, to me it looks way to easy to take the Bulls...so I won't. Take DePAUL! |
04-02-19 | Texas +1.5 v. TCU | Top | 58-44 | Win | 100 | 12 h 44 m | Show |
Texas vs TCU 9:00 ET Longhorns (+) over Horned Frogs- Hey, I was there...1978 Madison Square Garden, Texas won their only NIT championship defeating NC State 102-93 and 'we' cashed in on that day as well. TCU of course won their only NIT championship in 2017 and I only got to see that on TV (but, it was a 'Big Screen' TV). TCU took down the Longhorn twice already this season and are 3-0 ATS in the last three meetings but not three times in the same season and for the Longhorns, the third time is a charm. Take TEXAS! |
04-02-19 | Wichita State v. Lipscomb +1 | 64-71 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
Wichita State vs Lipscomb 7:00 ET Bison over Shockers- Wichita State didn't measure up to cagers of the recent past but here they are after becoming the first team in NIT history to defeat the top three seeds in their bracket. The Shockers definitely got better as the season progressed and finished 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 and with 22 wins and now joins Duke, Kansas and Gonzaga as schools with 22 or wins in the last 10 season. Conflict of styles will be forefront as Lipscomb the NIT's highest scoring team at 89.7 per contest while the Shockers held NIT opponents to their lowest out put with 62.6 per. Well, like when you send you kid to college..Bi-son...take LIPSCOMB! |
04-01-19 | DePaul +2 v. South Florida | Top | 61-63 | Push | 0 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
DePaul at South Florida 7:00 ET Blue Demons (+) over Bulls- High scoring DePaul has made huge strides this season which including most wins in the Big East and he scoring highest scoring offense in the conference. (after tonight's game they will be the highest scoring team in school history) Both clubs have won their last three to reach the CBI finals winning three straight home games. Taking a look at South Florida we fine that they are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 overall and DePaul is 0-8 ATS in the last eight meetings. Pick your poison. Mine is the Blue Demons! |
03-31-19 | Michigan State v. Duke -133 | Top | 68-67 | Loss | -133 | 17 h 43 m | Show |
Michigan State vs Duke 5:05 ET Blue Devils over Spartans- There are two things I believe and one is that Michigan State is the overall better team than Duke and that the 'public' also recognizes that after what we have all witnessed in this tourney. So, here are the Blue Devils the No. 1 seed as they should be a small favorite against a Big Ten squad that many believe got hosed by the selection committee. This is the match-up many wanted in the Final-4 or the Championship game and it really doesn't have the program impact that it deserves. That is of little consequence to me as to winning the championship you have to beat them one time or another. Duke is 12-2 SU all-time against Michigan State and when someone has your 'number' they have your 'number.' Take BLUE DEVILS! |
03-31-19 | Auburn v. Kentucky -4 | 77-71 | Loss | -119 | 14 h 54 m | Show
Auburn vs Kentucky 2:20 ET Wildcats (-) over Tigers- Wow, Megabucks and Money Game winners with both these clubs last time out while we've been riding the Tigers during their great run through the SEC and to this spot in the NCAA's. Now, seriously did any of us think that Kentucky would end up in the Final-4 after their opening game humiliation at the feet of Duke 118-84. I know there a 'few' that don't favor John Calipari but think about what he does. Every season he has to start all-over with a fresh group of young strangers that all see themselves as NBA stars and gets them to sacrifice their ego to the team concept. Okay, I have to respect his coaching...and recruiting! The Tigers also have one of the better NCAA leaders with personable Bruce Pearl bring Auburn to prominence after success at Tennessee. The Wildcats have two wins over the Tigers this season with the last come being Auburns worst and last loss this year 80-53 at Lexington. Can this Tigers team get past the Wildcats? This is a tough call as I would mind seeing either of them advance without any wager involved but there is...Take KENTUCKY |
03-31-19 | Auburn v. Kentucky UNDER 142 | 77-71 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 49 m | Show
Auburn vs Kentucky 2:20 ET Tigers/Wildcats- (Under) Defense is key in these most important of conflicts and when that is a teams mantra it's difficult to swim up steam so to speak. I mean look at these stats...Kentucky is 13-3 Under in their last 16 NCAA tournament games, they are 10-3 Under against the SEC in the last 13 and they are not only 19-7 under in their last 26 overall and they are 12-3 under in their last 15 meetings! ...DUH...Play UNDER! |
03-30-19 | Purdue v. Virginia -4 | 75-80 | Win | 100 | 19 h 27 m | Show
Purdue vs Virginia 8:50 ET Boilermakers over Cavaliers- Both these teams have been good to 'us' going 3-0 ATS in the NCAA's with the Boilermakers twice as Megabucks Winners. I think this is a really difficult call as Purdue hasn't played at this level since 1980 as Six seed and as tough as they are they need to keep hitting their trademark 3's. People calling Ryan Cline a 'surprise' makes me laugh as he's a dead-eyed pure shooter and that doesn't just happen! But, I'd be surprised if he gets the shots he wants Saturday night against this hard-nosed Cavaliers defense. Virginia has had 'great expectations' shot down in disapproving fashion they past two seasons and time around they atone for previous failures. Take VIRGINIA! |
03-30-19 | Purdue v. Virginia UNDER 126.5 | 75-80 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 21 m | Show
Purdue vs Virginia 8:50 ET Boilermakers/Cavaliers (Under 126)- Big games have a way of tightening things up as not only the scores but more importantly the players performance. This is the deepest Purdue has been in NCAA action since 1980 and the rim might seem a little 'tighter' as well. And a veteran defense that is at the top of their game. Play this one to stay...UNDER! |
03-30-19 | Texas Tech +4.5 v. Gonzaga | Top | 75-69 | Win | 100 | 17 h 51 m | Show |
Texas Tech vs Gonzaga 6:10 ET Red Raiders (+) over Bulldogs- Whoa...any team that plays defense like the Red Raiders has to really take pride in what they're doing, because it's not like being a great shooter there is no room for off nights. In some places I have a vested interest in Gonzaga making it to the Finals and I still believe they can get there with a little luck here. The Bulldogs have the nations highest scoring team 88.2 points per shooting 53% from the field and they will be against a stingy group that held No. 2 seed Michigan to 44 points. Cut it any way you want too but I'm taking the points with the Red Raiders. Take TEXAS TECH! |
03-29-19 | Houston v. Kentucky -2.5 | 58-62 | Win | 100 | 12 h 35 m | Show
Houston vs Kentucky 10:00 ET Cougars and Wildcats- Of all the games tonight this is the one I would like most to attend. Houston comes in winning a pair of games easily defeating Georgia State and Ohio State while Kentucky won a pair against powerhouses Abilene Christian and Wofford pounding the first and struggling (but getting the cash) against Wofford. The Wildcats won both games without leading scorer and rebounder PJ Washington who still in a walking cast. Both teams play defense first as the Cougars allow just 57.2 per contest while the Cats allow 64.5 and are 16-5 Under in their last 21 including 9-2 under in their last 11 NCAA Tourney games. Houston is 9-4 under in 13 non-conference games. Tough call but...The Wildcats get it done, Take KENTUCKY! |
03-29-19 | Auburn +6 v. North Carolina | Top | 97-80 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
Auburn vs North Carolina 7:30 ET Tigers (+) over Tar Heels- I definitely believe that North Carolina is good enough to win it all and they are one of my personal favorites still left in the Tournament. The problem here is that they are up against on the hottest teams in the nation that is stringing together big victories. The Tigers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight including wins over Tennessee (twice), Florida and Kansas while winning their last 10 straight-up. The Tar Heels have had their way against the SEC going 20-8-2 ATS in their last 30 meetings while Auburn is 1-4 ATS in their last five against the ACC. Carolina is the highest scoring team in the nation and have a 10.5 rebound advantage per contest but there is an intangible working here and it's the Tigers 'Mojo.' Take the points...AUBURN! |
03-29-19 | LSU +6.5 v. Michigan State | 63-80 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 35 m | Show
LSU vs Michigan State 7:10 ET Spartans (-) over Tigers- With all the turmoil surrounding LSU right losing coach Will Wade because of FBI taped conversations with regards to payoffs to one of their current players (Javonte Smart) who is still in the line-up. Interim coach Tony Benford has the second ranked SEC club running up 81.4 points per contest while Tom Izzo's club has won seven straight including 24-9 ATS in their last 33 games overall. A weak as the Tigers are in non-conference games (4-9-1 ATS) they are best when playing better teams with winning percent about 60% they are 8-2 ATS. Take LOUISIANA STATE! |
03-28-19 | Texas Tech +2 v. Michigan | 63-44 | Win | 100 | 25 h 32 m | Show
Texas Tech vs Michigan 9:40 ET Red Raiders (+) over Wolverines- I can't see this being anything but a tough hard nose defensive battle between two very well coached teams. Both of these guys have been 'money makers' for their backers as Texas Tech is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 overall and Michigan is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 against the Big-12 as well as 42-19-4 ATS on neutral sites. Overall, I just think the Red Raiders are a little better and they have had more impressive victories as they are 3rd in the nation in scoring defense (59.2) and they have won 21 games by double digits this season. Take TEXAS TECH! |
03-28-19 | Purdue +2 v. Tennessee | 99-94 | Win | 100 | 22 h 10 m | Show
Purdue vs Tennessee 4:25: ET Boilermakers (+) over Volunteers- The Boilermakers have been good to 'us' cruising as a Megabucks winner over Villanova while we have won going 'against' the Vols in the SEC Tourney and posting a pair of wins against with Auburn (SEC Championship) and stealing Iowa in overtime. Just line when I first saw that Purdue came up favored and all the rating confirmed that they were -3.5 I didn't look right and neither did this 'number.' I can't see the public turning away from Tennessee here. The Volunteers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 and they have been getting away with it, not tonight. This one is from the oddsmakers and I believe it's a winner. Take PURDUE! |
03-28-19 | Florida State v. Gonzaga -7 | 58-72 | Win | 100 | 22 h 37 m | Show
Florida State vs Gonzaga 7:10 ET Bulldogs (-) over Seminoles- I've been touting Gonzaga all season as you might remember they were the first to defeat might Duke. Except for walking into a door and getting slammed by St. Mary's in their Big West Championship games they have been a juggernaut both SU and ATS leading the nation in scoring offense (88.6), field goal percentage (53.2) and most importantly scoring margin (23.8). Florida State is good real good and an upset here isn't out of the realm of capabilities but not here Bulldogs are hungry. Take GONZAGA! |
03-27-19 | Colorado v. Texas -5.5 | Top | 55-68 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
Colorado at Texas 9:00 ET Longhorns (-) over Buffaloes- Both these clubs won a pair of NIT games at home and will meet in Austin as the second seeded Longhorns will host. But, other then both teams willing to get here they have come by different routes with Colorado getting two covers and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall while Texas lost five of their last six until playing in the NIT but haven't covered (0-5 ATS) since March 2. It appears that the Buffaloes would be the side but a glaring weakness on the road has them 6-12 ATS on the road. Take TEXAS! |
03-27-19 | Lipscomb +4 v. NC State | 94-93 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show
Lipscomb at N.C. State 9:00 ET Bisons (+) over Wolfpack- This should be an interesting match-up with an over-valved and over-rated NC State squad against a legitimate small school threat. I'm still have the final score of their home loss to Virginia Tech when on Ground Hog Day February 2, 2019 when the Wolfpack went under-ground and scored just 24 points in a modern day game. Since then they have actually rebounded going 6-2 ATS in their last eight. Okay, fine, but Lipscomb has already won at TCU and SMU and are 27-10-1 ATS in their last 38 road games. Take the BISONS! |
