Let's take the points here with Houston who are playing pretty solid ball this season. They have a big win over Arkansas beating them by 26 and also over Providence by 11. The Shockers are a solid team but getting to much respect considering they have only covered once in the last 6 games.

Consider me a sucker here but I will back NC St as this will be the first game for Notre Dame is without their leader Colson. He is their everything and makes that team go. This seems like a tough spot here for Notre Dame and I expect a big effort from NC St coming off an ugly loss against Clemson

I really think this Central Michigan team is being priced wrong here. They right now look like the best team in the MAC and aren't being given much credit. Ohio has played away from home 5 times this year and are just 1-4 SU with their only win coming against Indiana St by just 2.

Richmond looks like they have something wrong with them so far. In both games they were favored and lost by a combined 47 points ovly scoring 61 and 63 in each game. I want no part of that team what so ever. I know UAB hasn't played anyone strong but doesn't look like they need much to beat this team

I'm pretty high on this Nevada team as I think they will be one of mid majors everyone is talking about come March. They have adopted a new role in taking transfers and it seems to be working. They handled a very good Rhode Island team in their opener and shouldn't have a problem here against Santa Clara. They won just 17 games last year and lose maybe their best player they have had in 20 years. This is an average team at best

I'm pretty high on this Northwestern team entering this season. They still have a lot of talent from a team that won 24 games last year. McIntosh will lead the way for them and he will have plenty of help with guys like Law, Lindsey and Ash. Creighton does have one stud in Foster, but he can't carry the whole load. Creighton lost Patton to the NBA a youngster with a lot of promise who should have stayed. Losing Watson is major loss as well. They might get better as the season goes along but dont like them here.

Eastern Washington lost their second leading scorer but do return their stud in Bogdan Bliznyuk who is the best player in this conference. EWU won 22 games last season and were 13-5 in league play. I like the experience they have in the back court. Stanford was nothing special last year winning just 14 games and a terrible 6-12 in the PAC 12. Stanford also doesn't really like to get up and down the court so with this number it seems like a big task

LOVE the Jayhawks here tonight taking on Kentucky. It should be to no surprise that Kentucky is struggling out of the gates. Well when you have to replace that much year after year it takes ahile for the Chemistry and we are seeing that with Kentucky right now. Kansas is just loaded this year and even losing guys like Mason and Jackson to the NBA. Graham is an All-American guard and will have another All-American candidate in Malik Newman who was a 5 star coming out of high school and transferring in.

A little too much love for Purdue right now going on the road. Purdue lost Caleb Swainigan who quite frankly did everything for that team and made everyone else better. I think they will miss him a ton and it will have an affect on their guards. Marquette returns their 2 key sharp shooters, but Howard will be the difference as he shot over 50% from the 3 point line last season. Both teams have a lot of questions so you have to take the points here especially with the home team

GOLD'S FINAL FOUR 5 STAR LOCK! Yes I know we are seeing some steam come in on the Gamecocks, but that was to be expected in my opinion. South Carolina has been a good story sure, but they also had a huge advantage in the tournament practically playing two home games as a 7 seed. Still can't believe the committee did that. They beat Baylor and Florida after that but neither of those games have the depth or guard play that the Zags do. Gonzaga is on a mission here and their outside shooting and their inside length will be the advantage
