06-09-21 | Blue Jays v. White Sox -146 | 6-2 | Loss | -146 | 15 h 34 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Chicago White Sox came through for us with a 6-1 win in the opener of this series on Tuesday. I think we're getting a more than fair price on the White Sox to pick up another win tonight with Lance Lynn (7-1, 1.38 ERA) on the mound. Lynn has been one of the best pitchers in baseball in 2021 and he is 6-1 with a minuscule 1.26 ERA in seven home starts. The Blue Jays hand the ball to Alek Manoah (1-0, 3.86 ERA) for this third career start. Last time out, Manoah was tagged with four runs oin just 3 1/3 innings against Miami. The White Sox are 24-7 as home favorites on the season. 8* play on Chicago White Sox. |
06-08-21 | Blue Jays v. White Sox -139 | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 12 h 38 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE *NO-BRAINER* The Chicago White Sox are 28-4 against left-handed starters since the beginning of last season. Here they'll get a look at Blue Jays southpaw Robbie Ray (3-2, 3.57 ERA) who has allowed four runs in two of his last four starts and he is 0-1 with a 4.23 ERA in five away starts on the year. The White Sox hand the ball to Carlos Rodon (5-2, 1.98 ERA) who was knocked around in Cleveland in his last start, but he's still having a solid year and I expect Rodon to handle the Jays. 8* play on Chicago White Sox. |
06-07-21 | Royals v. Angels OVER 9 | Top | 3-8 | Win | 101 | 12 h 26 m | Show |
ROYALS @ ANGELS MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Los Angeles Angels are 15-5 to the over as home favorites on the season and tonight's Angels' starter Dylan Bundy has an ugly 6.49 ERA in 2021. Royals' righty Jackson Kowar will make his first MLB start ever, and this could easily go south early against a Halos' team that is averaging 5.77 runs per nine innings home in Anaheim. Over is 7-1-2 in Royals last 10 overall. Over is 3-0-1 in Royals last 4 games as a road underdog. 10* play on OVER. |
06-06-21 | Cubs v. Giants +102 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 10 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY I think we're getting a very reasonable price on the San Francisco Giants to complete the sweep of this four-game series with Johnny Cueto (4-1, 3.45 ERA) on the mound. Note that Cueto is 3-1 with a 2.59 ERA in four home starts on the season while Cubs' righty Kyle Hendricks has posted a 4.26 ERA in four road starts. Giants are 4-0 in their last 4 during game 4 of a series. Giants are 13-3 in their last 16 games vs. a right-handed starter. Cubs are 2-6 in their last 8 Sunday games. Cubs are 1-6 in the last 7 meetings in San Francisco. 10* play on San Francisco Giants. |
06-05-21 | Cubs v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 6 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Chicago Cubs are 30-23-4 to the under on the season. Right-hander Kohl Stewart (1-0, 0.00 ERA) will be making his second start of the season. He allowed only one run (no earned) through five innings against the Padres in his season opener. The San Francisco Giants counter with Kevin Gausman (6-0, 1.40 ERA) who is having an extraordinary year with 11 runs allowed on 41 hits over 70 2/3 innings and an 83/16 K/BB ratio. Regression is surely coming for the right-hander, but not against the Cubs who have been hitting leftie a lot harder than righties. 10* play on UNDER. |
06-04-21 | Tigers v. White Sox -161 | 8-9 | Win | 100 | 19 h 28 m | Show
FRIDAY NIGHT MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE *NO-BRAINER* The Chicago White Sox own the Detroit Tigers, heading into this contest as winners of 22 of the last 28 meetings. White Sox lefty Dallas Keuchel (4-1, 4.53 ERA) has not had a great year so far, note that the team has won seven of his 11 starts. Furthermore, the White Sox are 19-11 in divisional games and 3-1 in those with Keuchel on the mound. The Tigers are 10-19 in divisional games and I don't think they can provide starter Spencer Turnbull (4-2, 2.93 ERA) with enough run support. Detroit is averaging only 3.86 runs per game on the season while the White Sox are averaging 5.24 rpg. 8* play Chicago White Sox. |
06-03-21 | Rangers v. Rockies -123 | Top | 6-11 | Win | 100 | 6 h 10 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* RANGERS @ ROCKIES MLB PLAY OF THE DAY The Texas Rangers are 9-22 away from home on the season while the Colorado Rockies are 18-12 home at Coors Field. Rangers' righty Mike Foltynewicz (1-5, 4.31 ERA) is not having a good year, and the team has lost four of his last five starts. Rockies' left-hander Austin Gomber (3-5, 4.55 ERA) has a similar overall ERA as Foltynewicz, but note that Gomber has posted an impressive 1.88 ERA home at Coors. Texas is averaging only 3.85 runs per nine innings against left-handers while the Rockies are scoring 5.85 runs per innings at home against righties. 10* play on Colorado Rockies. |
06-02-21 | Nationals v. Braves -151 | 5-3 | Loss | -151 | 9 h 29 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE *NO-BRAINER* The Washington Nationals snapped a five-game losing streak with an 11-6 win over the Braves on Tuesday. I like the Braves to bounce back and win this battle between two left-handers. Atlanta's Drew Smyly (2-3, 5.95 ERA) was lit up in his last outing against Boston on May 26, allowing seven runs in 5 1/3 innings, but note that he had allowed only four earned runs in 18 innings through his previous three starts. Smyly has made two starts against the Nationals this year, posting a 1-0 record with a 1.50 ERA. Washington's Jon Lester (0-2, 4.91 ERA) has yet to earn a winning decision this year, and the team is 2-4 in his six starts. Lester took on the Braves on May 6, when he gave up all three runs through five innings of a 3-2 loss. 8* play on Atlanta Braves. |
06-02-21 | Padres +113 v. Cubs | Top | 1-6 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 20 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY ~ PADRES @ CUBS Good spot to back the San Diego Padres to bounce back from a couple of losses to the Chicago Cubs and avoid a three-game sweep. Padres' righty Dinelson Lamet (1-0, 2.57 ERA) will serve as the team's opener, and he is having a great year. He has made six appearances in total with four starts, and the team has won each of his last two starts. He has made one start as underdog, at Houston on May 28, a game the Padres won 10-3. The Cubs will hand the ball to Adbert Alzolay (3-4, 3.81 ERA) for his 10th start of the year. While Alzolay has been solid, I think the fired up Friars will get to him and this is a potential letdown spot for Alzolay who is coming off his best start of the season. 10* play on San Diego Padres. |
06-01-21 | Rangers +104 v. Rockies | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 25 m | Show
RANGERS @ ROCKIES MLB BOOKIE BU$TER I like the price we get on the Texas Rangers to put an end to a six-game losing streak when they visit Colorado for the opener of a three-game series. The Rangers have dropped 12 straight on the road, which should add additional fuel to the fire, and this looks like a good spot to pick up a win as they are 6-1 in the last seven matchups with the Rockies in Colorado. Sure, Rangers righty Dane Dunning (2-4, 4.75 ERA) has posted an 0-3 record to go with a 7.97 ERA in five away starts on the year, but here he'll face a Colorado team that has scored a total of only 14 runs over its last seven games. Colorado will turn to right-hander German Marquez (3-5, 4.47 ERA) who is solid, but his ERA at home is higher than on the road and I think the Rangers will get to him. 8* play on Texas Rangers. |
05-31-21 | Angels +128 v. Giants | 1-6 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 45 m | Show
MONDAY AFTERNOON MLB UNDERDOG UPSET This looks like a potential letdown spot for the San Francisco Giants who are coming off three straight wins against division-rivals Los Angeles Dodgers. Now they'll host the LA Angels who I think are way undervalued in this matchup. Sure, the Halos' Dylan Bundy (0-5, 6.50 ERA) is without a winning decision on the season, but note that the team has won three of Bundy's five starts as underdogs this year. The Giants hand the ball to Johnny Cueto (3-1, 3.86 ERA) who's having a solid year, but he has surrendered four runs or more in two of his last four starts. Last time out, Cueto was charged with four runs on eight hits in five innings at Arizona. 8* play on Los Angeles Angels. |
05-31-21 | Twins v. Orioles OVER 8.5 | 3-2 | Loss | -113 | 4 h 36 m | Show
EARLY MLB 3-PACK #1 The Minnesota Twins are 34-16-2 to the over on the season and only two of their last 11 games have gone under the total. Their bullpen has the third worst earned run average in the American League, which is why I think they'll give up runs eventually with Jose Berrios (5-2, 3.67 ERA) as their starter. As for Orioles' started Jorge Lopez, his 5.80 ERA on the season says it all and he has allowed 10 runs (nine earned) through 13 innings in his last three starts combined. 8* play on OVER. |
05-31-21 | Rays +106 v. Yankees | 3-1 | Win | 106 | 4 h 35 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #2 The Tampa Bay Rays are 19-7 on the road this season, and I like their chances of recording an upset in the Bronx on Monday. Yankees right-hander Jameson Taillon (1-3, 5.06 ERA) is coming off five scoreless innings against the White Sox, but he had allowed four, four and three runs in his last three previous starts. Taillon gave up six runs in 4 2/3 innings of a 9-1 loss to Tampa Bay just about two weeks ago. The Rays hand the ball to Rich Hill (3-2, 3.63 ERA) who held the Yankees scoreless through 6 2/3 innings in that very matchup. 8* play on Tampa Bay Rays. |
05-30-21 | Cardinals v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | 2-9 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 5 m | Show
CARDINALS @ DIAMONDBACKS MLB BOOKIE BLA$TER The first three games of this series have seen nine, 14 and 11 runs scored respectively. I expect the fourth and final game of the series to be a much lower scoring contest. Arizona right-hander Matt Peacock (1-1, 4.91 ERA) has made 10 appearances on the season, two as a start through which he has allowed four runs over 10 1/3 innings of work. St. Louis is hitting .225 against right-handers on the season. The Cardinals hand the ball to left-hander Kwang Hyun Kim (1-2, 3.09 ERA) who has allowed one earned run or fewer in five of his last six starts. The exception came against the White Sox who are dominating left-handers. He should have no trouble handling the D'Backs. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-30-21 | Giants v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -120 | 15 h 46 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK | NL WEST *BEST TOTAL* The last two games of this series have seen a total of 30 runs scored. I expect a completely different game in the finale on Sunday. Dodgers' left-hander Clayton Kershaw (7-3, 2.94 ERA) is having a solid year as per usual, and he is coming off a season-high 7 2/3 innings of one-run ball in a win over Houston on Tuesday. Kerhaw has posted a career ERA of 1.79 against the Giants. Kevin Gausman (5-0, 1.53 ERA) takes the ball for San Francisco. He has allowed a total of four runs through his last seven starts and posted a 3.00 ERA in three outings (two starts) against the Dodgers last season. 10* play on UNDER. |
05-29-21 | Braves v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | Top | 2-13 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 32 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The oddsmakers have posted an exceptionally low total for this game, but I still like the under. Note that the over/under is 17-26 across the Major Leagues this season and 1-8 in games involving the New York Mets. Both starting pitchers for tonight, Ian Anderson (4-1, 2.28 ERA) and Tajiuan Walker (3-1, 2.05 ERA), have been great. 10* play on UNDER. |
05-29-21 | Angels v. A's -144 | 4-0 | Loss | -144 | 14 h 20 m | Show
SATURDAY AFTERNOON MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE *NO BRAINER* The Los Angeles Angels have been held to a total of just one run through a pair of losses here at RingCentral Coliseum Thursday and Friday. I think the Halos better prepare for another loss here, coming up against A's righty Frankie Montas (5-4, 4.92 ERA). The team is 6-3 in Montas' last nine starts and Montas has posted a 3.81 ERA in five starts this month. The A's are 13-4 in Montas' 17 career starts with the team closing as a favorite at home. The Angels hand the ball to Alex Cobb (2-2, 4.78 ERA) who has been roughed up with 11 runs (10 earned) in three road starts covering 10 1/3 innings for an 8.71 ERA. 8* play on Oakland Athletics. |
05-27-21 | Orioles v. White Sox -1.5 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 23 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER The Chicago White Sox are slaying left-handers, and here they'll get a look at Orioles' southpaw Bruce Zimmermann who is 2-3 with a 5.59 ERA on the season. In his last start, Zimmermann was tagged with five runs on seven hits in three innings at Washington. White Sox righty Dylan Cease (2-1, 3.18 ERA) was lit up in a loss to the Yankees last time out, but the team had won each of his last five starts prior to that with Cease giving up only five runs over 27 innings of work. 8* play on Chicago White Sox -1.5. |
05-27-21 | Padres -109 v. Brewers | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -109 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAY OF THE DAY The San Diego Padres are red hot, having won 14 of their last 16 games including back-to-back triumphs in Milwaukee after dropping the series-opener on Monday. Friars' left-hander Ryan Weathers (2-1, 1.48 ERA) has allowed only 19 hits and five runs over 30 1/3 innings of work on the season. Sure, Weathers does not log a ton of innings in his starts, but note that the Padres' bullpen has posted an MLB best 2.42 ERA on the season. As for the Brew Crew, they've lost five of their last eight games and right-hander Adrian Houser (3-5, 4.53 ERA) has allowed eight runs on seven hits and nine walks in just seven innings over his last two starts. 10* play on San Diego Padres. |
05-27-21 | Rockies v. Mets UNDER 5 | 0-1 | Win | 111 | 2 h 5 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY This is a low total, but is it low enough? I don't think so. Note that the under is 14-5 in all games with a total lower than seven here in 2021. The Mets are averaging only 3.58 runs per game and their starting pitcher for the evening, Marcus Stroman, has a 3-4 record with a 2.73 ERA. The Rockies counter with German Marquez (3-4, 4.82 ERA) who is coming off seven scoreless innings of four-hit ball against Arizona. Note that this is the first game of a doubleheader after Wednesday's scheduled matchup got rained out. With only seven innings, this game should stay under five runs. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-26-21 | Dodgers -130 v. Astros | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -130 | 11 h 24 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE MONTH ~ TOP-RATED AL VS NL MAJOR WAGER The Los Angeles Dodgers have won eight in a row after opening this series with a 9-2 win on Tuesday. Tonight they hand the ball to reigning NL CY Young Award winner Trevor Bauer (5-2, 1.98 ERA) who owns the Astros. Note that Bauer has a perfect 9-0 team record as a starter against Houston. The Astros have dropped four consecutive games. 10* play on Los Angeles Dodgers. |
05-25-21 | Braves v. Red Sox +103 | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 54 m | Show
BRAVES @ RED SOX MLB BOOKIE BLA$TER The 29-19 Boston Red Sox have done much better than the betting market has expected. Backing them blindly in every game here in 2021 would have netted a $100/game bettor $906 in profit. I think the Red Sox are undervalued once again Tuesday night with Garrett Richards (4-2, 3.72 ERA) on the hill. Richards hsa allowed a total of only eight runs over his last five starts, and he's been great at keeping the ball in the park, serving up only four home runs over his nine starts. Braves' Charlie Morton (2-2, 4.60 ERA) has had a decent year, but note that the team has lost six of his nine starts. 8* play on Boston Red Sox. |
05-24-21 | Cardinals v. White Sox -157 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 12 h 55 m | Show
MONDAY NIGHT MLB NO BRAINER The Chicago White Sox are 24-3 in their last 27 games against left-handed starters. The White Sox took a 2-1 loss to the Yankees and lefty Jordan Montgomery on May 21, but I think runs will come easy against Cards' rookie southpaw Kwang-hyun Kim (1-1, 2.73 ERA). If runs against all odds do not come as easy as expected, they may not have to put all that many on the board in order to win regardless with Lance Lynn (4-1, 1.55 ERA) on the mound. 8* play on Chicago White Sox. |
05-23-21 | Cubs v. Cardinals -128 | 2-1 | Loss | -128 | 17 h 59 m | Show
SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL ~ CUBS @ CARDS BOOKIE BU$TER I'm fading the Chicago Cubs Sunday night. Cubs' righty Zach Davies (2-2, 5.58 ERA) has allowed 15 runs (14 earned) in 14 2/3 innings away from home on the season. Cards' veteran right-hander Adam Wainwright (2-4, 4.63 ERA) has posted a solid 3.00 ERA in five home starts on the year. The current Cardinals roster is batting .378 over 81 at bats against Davies. The current Cubs roster is batting .208 over 188 at bats against Wainwright. 8* play on St. Louis Cardinals. |
05-23-21 | Diamondbacks v. Rockies -140 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 13 h 3 m | Show |
MLB 3-PACK - TOP PLAY - ROCKIES This looks like a more than affordable price on Colorado to complete the sweep of this three-game series. The Rockies bats have come alive as they've scored seven runs in back-to-back wins against the D'Backs, and Rockies's starting pitcher Jon Gray (4-4, 3.48 ERA) is 4-1 with a 2.00 ERA in six starts home at Coors Field on the season. Arizona right-hander Taylor Widener (1-1, 3.61 ERA) was tagged with four runs in 5 1/3 innings at Cincinnati in his last start. 10* play on Colorado Rockies. |
05-23-21 | Tigers v. Royals -139 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 60 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK - ROYALS Fade the Detroit Tigers to complete the sweep at Kansas City on Sunday. Royals' southpaw Kris Bubic (0-0, 0.96 ERA) tossed five scoreless innings of three-hit ball against Detroit a couple of weeks ago, and the Tigers are batting only .213 against left-handers this season. Tigers' right-hander Casey Mize (3-3, 3.69 ERA) has allowed eight runs over 10 12/3 innings in two previous starts against the Royals in 2021. 8* play on Kansas City Royals. |
05-22-21 | Twins v. Indians UNDER 7.5 | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 38 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK | TOP-RATED AL TOTAL MAJOR WAGER This game should be a low-scoring affair. The Cleveland Indians' bats have been cold during a 2-5 stretch and they were shut out by the Twins on Friday. Twins righty Kenta Maeda (2-2, 5.26 ERA) has not had a great year, but surely he can keep the Tribe under control. Under is 5-1 in Indians last 6 games vs. a right-handed starter. As for Cleveland starter Shane Bieber (4-3, 3.17 ERA), the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner needs no further introduction, and note that Bieber posted a 2.14 ERA in three starts against the Twins last year. Under is 46-22-4 in the last 72 meetings. 10* play on UNDER. |
05-21-21 | Rays -140 v. Blue Jays | Top | 9-7 | Win | 100 | 11 h 45 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY The Tampa Bay Rays put a 10-1 beating on Baltimore on Thursday while the Toronto Blue Jays lost to the Red Sox after blowing a two-run lead heading into the ninth inning. The Rays have now won seven in a row and scored seven or more runs in all but one game during that stretch. Here they'll get to tee of versus left-hander Anthony Kay (0-2, 7.24 ERA), and we can note that the Rays are 6-2 in their last 8 games vs. a left-handed starter. Right-hander Tyler Glasnow (4-2, 2.35 ERA) will take the ball for the Rays, looking to build on a hot start to the year. In his last start, Glasgow fanned 10 through eight innings of two-run ball against the Mets. 10* play on Tampa Bay Rays. |
05-20-21 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays -125 | 8-7 | Loss | -125 | 12 h 31 m | Show
RED SOX @ BLUE JAYS MLB BOOKIE BU$TER ~ 7:35 PM ET START The Boston Red Sox have won each of Nick Pivetta's (5-0, 3.16 ERA) last four starts, but three of the wins were one-run games and I think they'll run out of luck tonight. The Toronto Blue Jays hand hte ball to Steven Matz (5-2, 4.29 ERA) who held the Phillies to four hits with nine Ks over five scoreless innings in his last start. The Jays have won six of their last eight and their bats are hot. 8* play on Toronto Blue Jays. |
05-20-21 | Giants v. Reds -131 | 19-4 | Loss | -131 | 5 h 45 m | Show
SUPER EARLY GIANTS @ REDS MLB BOOKIE BREAKER Good spot to back the Cincinnati Reds to beat the San Franciaco Giants after dropping the first three games of the series. The Reds have a 6-2 record in righty Tyler Mahle's (2-1, 2.93 ERA) eight starts and he has allowed more than two runs in only one start. The Giants counter with Johnnny Cueto (2-1, 3.62 ERA) who allowed no runs and three hits over 5 2/3 inning of a 3-0 win when pitching opposite Mahle on April 14, but left that win after only 68 pitches and ended up sidelined for more than three weeks. The team has last his two starts since coming back with Cueto giving uo seven runs on eight hits over 7 1/3 innings. 8* play on Cincinnati Reds. |
05-20-21 | Giants v. Reds OVER 9 | 19-4 | Win | 102 | 2 h 29 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY Good spot to back the Cincinnati Reds to beat the San Franciaco Giants after dropping the first three games of the series. Additionally, the Reds are the highest scoring team at home in baseball, and I think their bats are about to go off following a couple of low-scoring games. 8* play on OVER. |
05-18-21 | Nationals -110 v. Cubs | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 27 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* NATIONALS @ CUBS MLB PLAY OF THE DAY I think we're getting a great price backing the Washington Nationals at Wrigley Field Tuesday night. Nats left-hander Patrick Corbin (2-3, 6.19 ERA) had a really poor start to the year, but he's found his groove and allowed only six runs on 13 hits through 20 innings over three starts this month. Corbin is 5-2 with a 3.80 ERA in seven starts against the Cubs. Cubs righty Zach Davies (2-2, 5.60 ERA) has also had a solid month, but he's not receiving much run support. Through Davies' last three starts, the Cubs have scored a grand total of only seven runs. 10* play on Washington Nationals. |
05-17-21 | White Sox -104 v. Twins | Top | 16-4 | Win | 100 | 14 h 16 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY The Minnesota Twins have won only two of their last 10 games. Veteran left-hander J.A. Happ (2-1, 4.26 ERA) surrendered a season-high nine earned runs in 3 ⅓ innings of work in a 13-8 loss to the White Sox in his last start. The White Sox are hitting .288 against southpaws on the season and they are 23-2 against left-handed starters since the start of last season. Dallas Keuchel (2-1, 4.53 ERA) will take the ball for the White Sox. While he gave up six runs in 5 2/3 innings when opposing Happ in his last start, I doubt the Twins will get to him tonight. Note that two of Keuchel's last four starts have been of the scoreless variety. 10* play on Chicago White Sox. |
05-16-21 | Cardinals +115 v. Padres | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 37 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* CARDINALS @ PADRES PRIMETIME MLB PLAY OF THE DAY Good spot to back the St. Louis Cardinals to bounce back after producing only six hits in a 13-3 loss to the San Diego Padres on Saturday. While Friar's left-hander Ryan Weathers (2-1, 0.81 ERA) has had a terrific start to the year, note that only a couple of his outings were as a starter. The Cards are hitting .267 against southpaws. Left-hander Kwang-hyun Kim (1-0, 2.74 ERA) will take the ball for St. Louis. He has allowed one run in four straight starts and the team has won each of his five starts on the season. The Padres are hitting .211 against left-handers. All in all, this is a great price on a road dog with a chip on its shoulder after being humiliated last time out. 10* play on St. Louis Cardinals. |
05-16-21 | Rangers v. Astros UNDER 8 | 2-6 | Push | 0 | 11 h 14 m | Show
EARLY RANGERS @ ASTROS MLB BOOKIE BU$TER The last two games of this series have seen 14 and nine runs respectively. but I think the finale on Sunday will be a low-scoring affair. Rangers righty Kyle Gibson (3-0, 2.28 ERA) has allowed one or zero runs in six of eight starts on the season. Gibson has a solid track record against the Astros, going 4-2 with a 2.59 ERA in nine career starts. Lance McCullers, Jr. (3-1, 3.10 ERA) will toe the slab for Houston. He has allowed two or fewer runs in five of seven starts on the season. In his last start, McCullers, Jr. held the Halos to one run with nine Ks over eight innings. Current Texas' batters are just a combined 7-for-54 (.115) against McCullers, Jr. 8* play on UNDER. |

05-16-21 | A's -101 v. Twins | 7-6 | Win | 100 | 8 h 1 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK - OAKLAND I really like the price we get on the A's in this matchup. Oakland right-hander Chris Bassitt (3-2, 3.54 ERA) is 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA in five starts against Minnesota. Twins' righty Kenta Maeda (2-2, 5.08 ERA) is having a tough year, and he allowed seven earned runs in three innings when he took on the A's last month. The Twins rallied late to beat the A's on Saturday, but they're still only 13-24 on the season which is miles behind Oakland's 24-17 record. Athletics are 4-1 in their last 5 games following a loss. Twins are 2-6 in their last 8 games following a win. 8* play on Oakland Athletics. |
05-15-21 | Indians -108 v. Mariners | 3-7 | Loss | -108 | 18 h 0 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #3 The Cleveland Indians and the Seattle Mariners have split the first two games heading into the weekend The Tribe took a 7-3 loss on Friday, and I like them to avenge the setback with Triston McKenzie (1-1, 4.94 ERA) on the mound on Saturday. McKenzie held the Royals to two hits through five scoreless innings last time out, arguably his best start of the season. The Royals counter with left-hander Justus Sheffield (2-3, 4.91 ERA) who was rocked by Texas in his last outing, surrendering seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits over five innings. Sheffield has allowed 24 hits over his last three starts. I think the Indians will get to him early. 8* play on Cleveland Indians. |
05-15-21 | Cardinals +120 v. Padres | 3-13 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 33 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #1 I think we're getting a great price backing the St. Louis Cardinals with veteran Adam Wainwright (2-3, 3.80 ERA) on the mound on Saturday. Wainwright is coming off 8 1/3 scoreless innings of three-hit ball against Colorado. He has this Padres team limited to a .153 AVG over 20 at bats. The Friars counter with Chris Paddack (1-3, 4.78 ERA) who is coming off three scoreless innings at San Francisco, but he had been knocked around in previous three starts this season and has yet to make it through the fifth inning. The Cards had won five of six prior to a 5-4 loss to the Padres in the opener of this series on Friday. They are 9-6 off a loss on the season (4-3 as underdogs in that spot). 8* play on St. Louis Cardinals. |
05-15-21 | Giants -123 v. Pirates | 6-8 | Loss | -123 | 15 h 27 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #2 Good spot to fade the Pittsburgh Pirates following an upset win against the San Francisco Giants on Friday. The Giants are 4-2 off a loss as a favorite while the Pirates are 5-8 off a wins as a dog. Giants' righty Johnny Cueto (2-1, 3.52 ERA) was roughed up in his last start, fresh off the DL and he should be better in this one. Cueto is an incredible 21-4 with a 2.13 ERA against the Pirates who hand the ball to Tyler Anderson (3-2, 2.58 ERA). Great start to the year for Anderson, but note that he is 1-3 with a 4.07 ERA in seven career meetings with San Francisco. 8* play on San Francisco Giants. |
05-15-21 | A's v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 31 m | Show
EARLY ATHLETICS @ TWINS BOOKIE BU$TER | 4:05 ET START Both starting pitchers are off to a solid start to the season. Oakland left-hander Cole Irvin (3-4, 3.29 ERA) has allowed only seven runs over his last five starts. Irvin has 37 Ks against only six walks over 41 innings on the season. Minnesota right-hander Jose Berrios (3-2, 3.49 ERA) made one of his best starts on the season against the A's back on April 21, when he held them to one run on four hits over five innings. The A's are hitting only .207 against right-handers. Under is 10-3-1 in Athletics last 14 games as an underdog. Under is 6-0-1 in Athletics last 7 road games. Under is 10-4-1 in Twins last 15 home games vs. a left-handed starter. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-14-21 | Reds v. Rockies UNDER 10.5 | Top | 6-9 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 29 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK | TOP-RATED REDS @ ROCKIES TOTAL The Colorado Rockies and the Cincinnati Reds combined for 21 runs in the opener of this four-game series on Thursday. The total for that game closed at 11.5, but we're still seeing a lower total for tonight's game. I trust the oddsmakers and expect the bats to be a lot colder here in Game 2. Colorado right-hander German Marquez (1-4, 5.49 ERA) has a rather bloater earned run average, but it's mostly down to two subpar outings. In his last start, Marquez held the Cardinals to two runs through six innings of a 2-0 Rockies win. The Reds counter with left-hander Wade Miley (4-2, 2.00 ERA) who is coming off a no hitter at Cleveland. Miley has posted a 0.9 ERA while allowing only seven hits in three road starts covering 20 innings on the season. 10* play on UNDER. |
05-14-21 | Cubs -130 v. Tigers | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 50 m | Show
CUBS @ TIGERS MLB BOOKIE BU$TER The Chicago Cubs are only 4-11 on the road this season, but this will be just the fourth time they're a road favorite. Cubs righty Jake Arrieta was torched at Cincinnati ins his last start, but he has allowed two or fewer runs in four of six starts on the season. In four career starts against Detroit, Arrieta is 2-1 with a 3.91 ERA. The Tigers counter with rookie left-hander Tarik Skubal (0-5, 5.67 ERA). Skubal has had some decent outings, but he's struggling with his command (16 walks in 27 innings) and he has served up 10 home runs (six through his last three outings). The Cubs are 4-1 as a favorite against left-handed starts in 2021. 8* play on Chicago Cubs. |
05-13-21 | Phillies v. Nationals +105 | 1-5 | Win | 105 | 5 h 19 m | Show
SUPER EARLY PHILLIES @ NATIONALS MLB BOOKIE BU$TER | 1:05 ET START I like the price we get on the Washington Wizards in this early matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday afternoon. Nats' left-hander Patrick Corbin (1-3, 7.36 ERA) has pitched well lately only to be hurt by home runs. Corbin is 5-3 with a 3.19 ERA in 11 starts versus the Phillies, and he has this Philly roster limited to a .222 AVG over 164 at bats. The Phillies turn to Zach Eflin (2-1, 3.38 ERA) who has a 4.26 ERA in nine career starts against Washington. This Nats roster has combined .329 AVG over 119 at bats against Eflin. I think the Nats will get to Eflin and make him pay. Phillies are 4-9 in their last 13 games as a road favorite. Phillies are 1-4 in their last 5 games vs. a left-handed starter. 8* play on Washington Nationals. |
05-13-21 | Blue Jays v. Braves -150 | 8-4 | Loss | -150 | 4 h 37 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK I think the bookmakers have set this total waaaaay too high. Sure, Toronto right-hander Ross Stripling (0-2, 6.61 ERA) has had a tough start to the year, but his best start came against the Braves on May 3 when he held them to two runs through 4 1/3 innings of work. Braves' veteran right-hander Charlie Morton (2-2, 4.98 ERA) could also have asked for a better start to the year, but he has a solid 3.83 ERA in eight career starts against Toronto. In addition to the under, I also expec the Braves to bounce back from a pair of losses to the Jays and avoid getting swept. 8* play on Atlanta Braves. |
05-13-21 | Blue Jays v. Braves UNDER 9 | Top | 8-4 | Loss | -126 | 4 h 19 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY BLUE JAYS @ BRAVES MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY I think the bookmakers have set this total waaaaay too high. 10* play on UNDER. |
05-12-21 | Blue Jays v. Braves -112 | 4-1 | Loss | -112 | 8 h 6 m | Show
BLUE JAYS @ BRAVES MLB BOOKIE BU$TER Atlanta left-hander Max Fried (1-1, 8.44 ERA) is coming off his best start of the season, as he held the Nats to one run on four hits in five innings last time out. The current Blue Jays roster has a combined .130 AVG over 22 at bats against Fried. Hyun Jin Ryu will take the ball for the Jays. He allowed four runs on six hits, one walk and six strikeouts in five innings against Oakland in his last start. While Ryu has good career numbers against the Braves, I think they'll get to him tonight as we should see a fired up Braves team looking to the Jay's three-run rally in the eighth from last night. 8* play on Atlanta Braves. |
05-12-21 | Cubs +109 v. Indians | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 49 m | Show
EARLY MLB 3-PACK #1 - CUBS Cubs' righty Zach Davies (2-2, 6.30 ERA) has allowed only a total of two runs over 11 innings in his last two starts combined, both 3-2 Cubs wins. Cleveland hands the ball to left-hander Sam Hentges (1-0, 5.00 ERA) for his first career start and fifth big-league appearance. The Cubs are not an easy opponent, and they hope to have both Kris Bryant and Javier Baez available Wednesday. Cleveland has the league's second-worst batting average at .210. Good value on the Cubbies. 8* play on Chicago Cubs. |
05-12-21 | Reds -148 v. Pirates | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 10 m | Show
EARLY MLB 3-PACK #3 The Cincinnati Reds are 22-10-1 to the over on the season, but I think this game will be low-scoring. Cincinnati right-hander Sonny Gray (0-2, 3.92 ERA) is coming off seven scoreless innings of two-hit ball against the White Sox. Gray has a 2.12 ERA in three day starts on the season. The Pittsburgh Pirates hand the ball to Trevor Cahill (1-4, 6.75 ERA) who has posted a 2.45 ERA in two day starts in 2021. If any team is to score runs here it's the Reds. I don't see Pittsburgh putting more than two runs on the board and I predict Cincinnati to win in a very low-scoring affair. 8* play on Cincinnati Reds. |
05-12-21 | Reds v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 12 m | Show |
EARLY MLB 3-PACK #2 - TOP PLAY The Cincinnati Reds are 22-10-1 to the over on the season, but I think this game will be low-scoring. 10* play on UNDER. |
05-12-21 | Orioles v. Mets UNDER 7.5 | 1-7 | Loss | -112 | 1 h 55 m | Show
SUPER EARLY ORIOLES @ METS BANKROLL BUILDER Good spot for an under. The NY Mets' righty Matt Harvey (3-2, 3.60 ERA) has allowed two earned runs or fewer five times in seven starts. The Baltimore Orioles' Taijuan Walker (2-1, 2.38 ERA) has been red hot. He has allowed zero earned runs in three of his last four starts, and he fanned eight through seven innings of a 4-1 Mets win at St. Louis in his last start. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-11-21 | Rangers +1.5 v. Giants | 2-4 | Loss | -144 | 7 h 17 m | Show
EARLY RANGERS @ GIANTS MLB BOOKIE BOMBER | 3:45 PM ET START I think we're getting a great price taking the Texas Rangers on the runline at San Francisco Tuesday night. Texas righty Jordan Lyles (1-2, 7.09 ERA) has had a rough start to the year, but his last outing was decent as he fanned seven through five innings of three-run ball at Minnesota. The Giants turn to righty Logan Webb (1-3, 5.34 ERA) who was tagged with six runs in just 3 2/3 innings at Coors Field in his last start. The Giants are only 7-6 against the runline as a home favorite. The Rangers are 12-6 against the runline on the road as a dog. 8* play on Texas Rangers +1.5. |
05-09-21 | Phillies -107 v. Braves | 1-6 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 16 m | Show
PHILLIES @ BRAVES SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL BOOKIE BREAKER This looks like an excellent price on the Philadelphia Phillies with their ace Aaron Nola (3-1, 2.89 ERA) on the mound. Nola is 11-6 with a 3.03 ERA in 21 career starts against the Braves who counter with right-hander Huascar Ynoa (3-1, 2.36 ERA). While Ynoa is off to an impressive start to the season, I just don't see him outdueling Nola. 8* play on Philadelphia Phillies. |
05-09-21 | Brewers v. Marlins UNDER 7.5 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 58 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #1 Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Brett Anderson (2-2, 4.15 ERA) did not even make it through the first inning in a 15-2 loss to the Cubs in his last start but had allowed only two runs in 12 innings in his last two starts prior to that outing. Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara (1-2, 2.95 ERA) is having a great year. Through his last three starts, Alcantara has allowed only six runs over 18 innings. The Brewers are averaging 3.92 runs per game (25th) and they're batting a lowly .205 against right-handers. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-09-21 | Diamondbacks v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #3 New York Mets righty Jacob deGrom (2-2, 0.51 ERA) has had a spectacular start to the year with only two earned runs allowed and 59 Ks through 35 innings on the mound. Here he'll face an Arizona team that has scored a total of 10 runs through a five-game losing streak. The Mets have won four in a row, but mainly because of good pitching and not good hitting. The Mets are averaging 3.72 runs per game on the season (28th) and I don't think Arizona right-hander Riley Smith (1-1, 4.91 ERA) will be in much trouble. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-08-21 | White Sox -1.5 v. Royals | Top | 9-1 | Win | 100 | 21 h 21 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE MONTH | TOP-RATED 10* AL CENTRAL *BEST BET* White Sox right-hander Lance Lynn has been one of the best starters in the league in 2021 with a 1.82 ERA over four starts and a 29/4 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 innings of work. He fanned 11 through a complete game shut out agianst the Royals on April 8. Kansas City counters wtih Daniel Lynch (0-0, 5.79 ERA) for his second start in the big leagues. Lynch gave up three runs and walked four through 4 2/3 innings of an 8-6 Royals loss to Cleveland in his debut on Tuesday. The White Sox are hitting left-handers hard (.298 AVG in 2021), and they are 20-1 SU and 18-3 against the runline against left-handed starters since the start of last season. 10/10* play on Chicago White Sox -1.5. |
05-08-21 | Nationals v. Yankees -115 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 17 h 50 m | Show
SUPER EARLY NATIONALS @ YANKEES BOOKIE BU$TER | 1:05 ET START Good spot to back the NY Yankees after taking a 12-4 beating by the hands of Washington on Friday. This Yankees roster is hitting a combined .361 over 72 at bats against Nats righty Max Scherzer (2-2, 2.54 ERA) who gave up seven runs (five earned) on eight hits in five innings at Toronto in his last road start. Yankee right-hander Corey Kluber (2-2, 3.03 ERA) is coming off eight scoreless innings of two-hit ball in a 2-0 home win against Detroit. Klubrr has the current Nats hitters held to a combined .223 AVG over 56 at bats. 8* play on New York Yankees. |
05-07-21 | Pirates v. Cubs -134 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 29 m | Show
SUPER EARLY PIRATES @ CUBS MLB BOOKIE BU$TER Chicago Cubs righty Zach Davies has an ugly 8.22 ERA to go with a 1-2 rercord in six starts on the season. His last outing was a decent one though as he allowed only one earned run through four innings of a 3-2 Cubs win against Cincinnati. Davies was lit up for seven runs in 1 2/3 innings against the Pirates last month, but the Bucs have scored a total of only 12 runs over their last six games. Trevor Cahill (1-3, 7.40 ERA) will take the ball for the Pirates. His ERA is almost as ugly as Davies', and he's been particularly poor on the road with 15 runs allowed (14 earned) on 19 hits over 14 innings of work. The Cubs have scored 17 runs while won three in a row, and they've won five of their last seven. 8* play on Chicago Cubs. |
05-06-21 | Braves v. Nationals +105 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 27 m | Show
BRAVES @ NATS MLB BOOKIE BREAKER Washington left-hander Jon Lester (0-0, 0.00) held the Marlins to five hits through five scoreless innings in his season debut. Lester is 7-2 with a 2.30 ERA in 11 career starts against the Braves who counter with left-hander Drew Smyly (0-2, 8.05 ERA) who has had a rough start to the year. Atlanta has been batting an abysmal .169 against left-handers in 2021, the Nats have hit southpaws hard with a .285 AVG. 8* play on Washington Nationals. |
05-06-21 | Indians v. Royals -122 | Top | 4-0 | Loss | -122 | 5 h 15 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE *NO BRAINER* Royals left-hander Danny Duffy (4-1, 0.60 ERA) is off to an outstanding start to the year with only two earned runs allowed and 34 Ks over 30 innings of work. He faced Cleveland back on April 6 when he held the Tribe scoreless over six innings of a 3-0 Royals win. The Indians are batting only .195 against southpaws on the season. Cleveland right-hander Triston McKenzie (0-1, 6.27 ERA) has recorded 29 strikeouts over his 18 2/3 innings on the mound, but also walked 18. In his last start, McKenzie was tagged with six runs in only two innings against the White Sox. 10* play on Kansas City Royals. |
05-05-21 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Cubs | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 6 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE RIPPER PLAY OF THE DAY The Los Angeles Dodgers dropped both games of a doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday. They've now lost eight of their last 10, and we just have to see a reaction soon. I think we'll see some fire from the Dodgers tonight, as they get to tee off vs. Adbert Alzolay (1-2, 4.71 ERA) who, in my opinion, is due for regression. We can also note Alzolay's 5.59 ERA in two home starts on the season. Dodgers' righty Walker Buehler (1-0, 3.16 ERA) was charged with five runs in 6 1/3 innings against Cincinnati last time out, but he also recorded 10 strikeouts. Buehler has 19 Ks over his last two starts, and the Cubs have one of the worst strikeout rates in the league in 2021. 10* play on Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5. |
05-05-21 | Orioles +112 v. Mariners | 6-0 | Win | 112 | 8 h 31 m | Show
ORIOLES @ MARINERS BOOKIE BU$TER The Baltimore Orioles have won four of their last six after splitting the first two games of this three-game series at Seattle. I like the Orioles to clinch the series-finale with John Means (3-0, 1.70 ERA) on the mound. The left-hander has had a terrific start to the year, and recorded nine strikeouts for the second time of the season in a 3-2 win at Oakland last time out. Seattle is hitting only .202 against left-handers this season. The Mariners hand the ball to lefty Yusei Kikuchi (1-1, 4.40 ERA). The Orioles have owned left-handers all season, heading into this contest with a .268 AVG and averaging 5.03 runs per nine innings against southpaws. 8* play on Baltimore Orioles. |
05-05-21 | Orioles v. Mariners UNDER 7.5 | 6-0 | Win | 100 | 7 h 24 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK The Baltimore Orioles have won four of their last six after splitting the first two games of this three-game series at Seattle. In addition to Baltimore winning the game, I also like the under. Orioles are 18-11-1 to the under on the season. Under is 8-3 in Orioles last 11 road games. Under is 6-2-1 in Mariners last 9 home games. Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-04-21 | Rangers +142 v. Twins | 6-3 | Win | 142 | 12 h 40 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT MLB BOOKIE BLA$TER Twins' lefty J.A. Happ (2-0, 1.96 ERA) has had a great start to the year, but here he'll face a Texas team that is 8-1 in its last 9 games vs. a left-handed starter. Texas counters with former Twin Kyle Gibson (3-0, 2.16 ERA) who has allowed only a total of three runs through his last five starts. The Twins have picked up the pace since a miserable stretch, winning four of their last five, but note that the Rangers have won three of their last five. I disagree that Texas should be this big of a dog in this matchup. 8* play on Texas Rangers. |
05-04-21 | Brewers v. Phillies UNDER 8 | 5-6 | Loss | -112 | 11 h 52 m | Show
BREWERS @ PHILLIES BOOKIE BOMBER The Philadelphia Phillies won the opener of this series 4-3 on Monday. Game 2 looks like another low-scoring affair. Milwaukee left-hander Eric Lauer (1-0, 0.00 ERA) held the Dodgers to four hits through five scoreless innings in his lone start of the season. Phillies Aaron Nola (2-1, 3.11 ERA) has allowed only 31 hits and owns a 39/5 K/BB ratio over 37 2/3 innings on the season. Milwaukee is averaging only 3.98 runs per game and the Phillies 4.00 runs per game. The Brew Crew has a poor .205 AVG against right-handers this season. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-02-21 | Angels -143 v. Mariners | 0-2 | Loss | -143 | 14 h 32 m | Show
MIKE'S MONYELINE MASSACRE *NO BRAINER* The Los Angeles Angels have won four of their last five games, including a 10-5 triumph here at Seattle on Saturday. Mariners' starter Ljay Newsome was chased off the mound after only two innings, so the bullpen could be in rough shape today. Seattle's starter for Sunday, Justus Sheffield (1-2, 5.32 ERA) has allowed three runs or more in three of four starts on the season and he has allowed 27 hits and eight walks over 22 innings of work. Sheffield made two starts against the Angels last year, allowing 10 runs on eight hits and eight walks over 7 2/3 frames. Angels' right-hander Dylan Bundy (0-2, 4.20 ERA) held Houston to two runs on three hits through six innings of a 4-2 Angels win last time out. Bundyhas a solid 34/8 K /BB ratio over 30 innings. Bundy made three starts against Seattle in 2020 and compiled a 2.21 ERA over 20 1/3 innings. 8* play on Los Angeles Angels. |
05-02-21 | Angels v. Mariners UNDER 8.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 34 m | Show
ANGELS @ MARINERS TOTAL The Los Angeles Angels have won four of their last five games, including a 10-5 triumph here at Seattle on Saturday. In addition to the Angels winning the game, I also like the under as I expect Bundy to completely shut down the M's. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-02-21 | Marlins v. Nationals UNDER 7 | 1-3 | Win | 103 | 8 h 52 m | Show
SUPER EARLY MARLINS @ NATS MLB BOOKIE BU$TER This is indeed a low total, but I still think we'll cash the under. Miami left-hander Trevor Rogers (3-1, 1.29 ERA) has been one of the best pitchers in the league, and he has 38 Ks over 28 innings of work. Nats veteran righty Max Scherzer (1-2, 3.00 ERA) has been superb in four of his six starts on the season, and he has 38 Ks over 30 innings. I don't see Miami having the weapons to hurt him. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-01-21 | Giants v. Padres UNDER 7.5 | 2-6 | Loss | -117 | 12 h 58 m | Show
LATE GIANTS @ PADRES MLB BOOKIE BOMBER The San Francisco Giants are 15-10-1 to the under on the season and the San Diego Padres 17-10 to the under. We saw five runs in the opener of this series on Friday. Giants righty Anthony DeSclafani (2-0, 1.50 ERA) allowed only three hits in a complete game shutout against Colorado in his last start. Padres left-hander Blake Snell (0-0, 3.92 ERA) has struck out 31 over 20 2/3 innings on the season. Under is 7-1 in Giants last 8 games vs. a left-handed starter. Under is 13-3 in Padres last 16 home games. Under is 5-0-1 in the last 6 meetings. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-01-21 | Cardinals v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | 12-5 | Loss | -119 | 16 h 29 m | Show
CARDINALS @ PIRATES BOOKIE BU$TER Cards righy-hander Jack Flaherty (4-0, 3.18 ERA) has allowed only four earned runs through his last four starts. Pittsburgh is averaging only 4.08 runs per game (20th) and it is one of the very worst teams at hitting home runs (29th). Pirates' right-hander Trevor Cahill (1-2, 7.11 ERA) has been inconsistent, allowing 7, 1, 6, 1 runs in his four starts. Cahill was solid in his lone home start so far, when he held the Padres to one run with eight Ks through five innings on April 13. 8* play on UNDER. |
05-01-21 | Royals +114 v. Twins | 11-3 | Win | 114 | 5 h 6 m | Show
EARLY AMERICAN LEAGUE BOOKIE BREAKER The Kansas City Royals have a 15-9 record while the Minnesota Twins have the complete reverse record at 9-15. Royals left-hander Danny Duffy (3-1, 0.39 ERA) has been one of the best pitchers in baseball in 2021 with only one run allowed and a 27/6 K/BB ratio over 23 innings of work. Minnesota right-hander Matt Shoemaker (1-2, 5.49 ERA) has not been quite as good, and the team has los each of his last three starts. I think the wrong team is favored in this one. 8* play on Kansas City Royals. |
04-30-21 | Rockies +111 v. Diamondbacks | 2-7 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 57 m | Show
ROCKIES @ D'BACKS MLB BOOKIE BREAKER The Colorado Rockies have had a disappointing 9-15 start to the year, but they've won two in a four and three of five on the season with Jon Gray (3-1, 2.54 ERA) on the mound. Gray took on Arizona back on April 9, when he held it to one run on two hits through 6 2/3 innings of a 7-3 win. D'Backs left-hander Madison Bumgarner (2-2, 6.31 ERA) has an ugly ERA, and one reason is eight runs allowed on eight hits over five innings at Colorado in his season opener. 8* play on Colorado Rockies. |
04-30-21 | Red Sox -1.5 v. Rangers | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 17 h 46 m | Show
FRIDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER The Boston Red Sox were held to just three hits in a 4-1 loss to Texas on Thursday. I like the Red Sox to have more success against Rangers righty Kohei Arihara (2-2, 4.03 ERA). In his last start, Arihara was lit up for five runs on six hits and four walks in only two innings at Chicago White Sox. Red Sox rigthy Nathan Eovaldi (3-2, 3.77 ERA) has been roughed up in back-to-back starts, despite not pitching all that bad. He has a 13-1 K/BB ratio over a total of 11 1/3 innings in his last two starts. Eovaldi allowed only four runs Over his first three starts. I think the Red Sox will come out fired up for this one and not only win, but also cover the runline. 8* play on Boston Red Sox.
04-29-21 | Red Sox -118 v. Rangers | Top | 1-4 | Loss | -118 | 16 h 33 m | Show |
AL GAME OF THE WEEK | TOP-RATED MLB MAJOR WAGER The Boston Red Sox have won three in a row and six of their last nine games. The Texas Rangers have dropped five in a row, and they're averaging only 4.04 runs per game (23rd) on the season which can be compared to Boston's 4.96 rpg (6th). Red Sox left-hander Martin Perez (0-1, 5.71 ERA) has had a less than ideal start to the year, but note that the team is 3-1 in his four starts and Texas has been hitting only .221 against southpaws. The Rangers hand the ball to veteran right-hander Kyle Gibson (2-0, 2.30 ERA) who has allowed only two runs through his last four starts, so I think he's due to get lit up. Gibson can not count on much back up from one of the worst bullpens in baseball while Boston has a top-10 bullpen. Rangers are 1-5 in their last 6 games as an underdog. 10* play on Boston Red Sox. |
04-28-21 | Padres v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9.5 | 12-3 | Loss | -117 | 13 h 4 m | Show
PADRES @ D'BACKS LATE NIGHT BOOKIE BLA$TER The San Diego Padres are 16-9 to the under on the season. Tonight's starter, Ryan Weathers (1-0, 0.59 ERA) will make just his second major league start, but he has been terrific this season with only one earned run allowed over 15 1/3 innings on the mound. He'll be backed up by a bullpen that has the sixth lowest ERA in the major leagues. The D'Backs counter with Taylor Widener (1-0, 2.82 ERA) for his fifth start of the year. Two of his previous four outings were of the scoreless variety. Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. 8/10* play on UNDER 9.5 |
04-28-21 | Reds v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | 0-8 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 28 m | Show
EARLY REDS @ DODGERS MLB BOOKIE BU$TER | 4:10 PM START The Los Angeles Dodgers have seen each of their last five games go over the total, but I expect a low-scoring affair when they host the Cincinnati Reds in the finale of this three-game series. Dodgers' veteran southpaw Clayton Kershaw (3-2, 2.56 ERA) was roughed up on Opening Day, but he has been on fire since, posting a 1.38 ERA over his last four starts. Kershaw posted a 0.48 ERA in three afternoon starts last season. Kershaw has the current Reds roster limited to a combined.157 AVG over 35 at bats. Sonny Gray (0-1, 7.88 ERA) will take the ball for the Reds. Gray was tagged with five runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings at St. Louis last time out. I think he'll be sharper here, and note that the current Dodgers roster has a combined .094 with 11 Ks over 37 at bats against Gray. 8/10* play on UNDER. |
04-27-21 | Yankees -1.5 v. Orioles | Top | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 15 h 5 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* TUESDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER The 9-13 New York Yankees are a massive favorite in this one, despite the 10-12 Baltimore Orioles having a better record. I trust the bookies here and expect to see a reaction and fire from the Bronx Bombers after dropping the opener of this series 4-2 on Monday. Yankee righty Corey Kluber (0-2, 5.40 ERA) is coming off a decent outing when he held Atlanta to two earned runs on two hits and four walks while striking out two across 4 2/3 innings. Walks have been a big issue for Kluber, but note that Baltimore is among the worst teams in the league (25th) at getting to the base on balls. Additionally, only three Orioles hitters have seen Kluber before, for a combined eight at bats. The Orioles counter with 26-year old southpaw Bruce Zimmermann (1-2, 4.57 ERA) who will make just his seventh career major league appearance (sixth start), and he will take on the Yankees for the first time. I can see him getting lit up but a motivated Yankees team. 10/10* play on New York Yankees -1.5. |
04-26-21 | Phillies v. Cardinals +103 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 3 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* PHILLIES @ CARDS MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The St. Louis Cardinals are coming off a 3-game sweep of Cincinnati. I think they'll stay hot here against a Philadelphia team that is only 2-7 away from home in 2021. Cards' right-hander Adam Wainwright (0-2, 5.03 ERA) is coming off his best start of the season when he held Washington to one run on five hits with 10 Ks through seven innings. Wainwright is 7-3 with a 3.10 ERA in 16 career appearances against the Phillies who hand the ball to Zack Wheeler. Wheeler (1-2, 3.80 ERA) is 0-2 with a 5.87 ERA in three career starts against the Cardinals. He opened the season with seven shutout innings against Atlanta but has allowed three or more runs in each of his three starts since. Phillies are 5-12 in the last 17 meetings in St. Louis. 10* play on St. Louis Cardinals. |
04-26-21 | Royals v. Tigers -102 | 3-2 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 18 m | Show
SUPER EARLY ROYALS @ TIGERS BOOKIE BU$TER | 1:10 PM START Kansas City Royals are looking to complete a four-game sweep at Detroit on Monday. I think they'll be denied by an angry Tigers side. Detroit right-hander Spencer Turnbull (1-0, 1.80 ERA) has made only one start on the season, but it was a solid one with only one run allowed on two hits and six Ks through five innings. Turnbull owns a 3.27 ERA in six career starts against Kansas City. The Royals counter with Brad Keller (1-2, 12.00 ERA) who has been roughed up badly in three of his four starts on the season. Keller has walked as many hitters as he has strikeouts (9), and he has allowed 22 hits over just 12 innings of work. The Tigers are averaging a league-worst 3.20 runs per game, but this looks like a good time to break out of the slump and Turnbull might not need much support anyway. 8* play on Detroit Tigers. |
04-25-21 | Nationals v. Mets UNDER 8 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 13 h 1 m | Show
SUPER EARLY NATS @ METS BOOKIE BREAKER The Washington Nationals defeated the NY Mets 7-1 on Saturday. They had put up just a total of four runs through their last three games prior to that (no game saw more than six runs), and both the Nationals and the Mets rank in the bottom five in the MLB for runs per game. Nats left-hander Patrick Corbin (0-2, 10.95 ERA) opened the season with two abysmal starts, but he held the Cardinals to four hits through six scoreless innings in his last start. The Mets are hitting .213 against southpaws on the season. Mets' righty Taijuan Walker (0-1, 3.21 ERA) has yet to allow more than two runs in any start this season and he has 19 Ks through 14 innings of work. The Nats are hitting .221 against right-handers on the season. 8/10* play on UNDER. |
04-25-21 | Nationals v. Mets -149 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 51 m | Show
SUBCRIBERS ONLY The Washington Nationals defeated the NY Mets 7-1 on Saturday. In addition to the under, I also like the Mets to avenge yesterday's loss. 8/10* play on NY Mets. |
04-25-21 | Royals -115 v. Tigers | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY The Detroit Tigers have the worst record in baseball after taking a 2-1 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. They have lost seven of their last eight games, and they're averaging a league-low 3.36 runs per game. I think their misery will continue with another setback today. Royals' left-hander Danny Duffy (2-1, 0.50 ERA) has been outstanding in 2021, allowing only one earned run while recording 19 Ks through 18 innings of work. Detroit right-hander Michael Fulmer (1-1, 3.94 ERA) has had a respectable start to the year, but his last outing was far from impressive when Fulmer allowed three runs in four innings of a loss to Pittsburgh. Fulmer faced the Royals twice last year and was charged with eight runs while surrendering four home runs through 12 frames. 10* play on Kansas City Royals. |
04-24-21 | Padres v. Dodgers -140 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 18 h 41 m | Show
LATE NIGHT MLB | PADRES @ DODGERS *BAILOUT PLAY* The Los Angeles Dodgers mustered only one run on four hits in a loss to San Diego on Friday. They've now dropped back-to-back games against the Friars, and I think we'll see a focused Dodgers team bounce back with a win on Saturday. Padres' left-hander Blake Snell (0-0, 4.11 ERA) was tagged with three runs in just 2/3 innings of an 8-4 San Diego loss at Pittsburgh in his lone away start on the season. In his last start, Snell held the Dodgers to a pair of runs through five frames, but I think they'll hit him harder in this one. The Dodgers counter with Trevor Bauer (2-0, 2.42 ERA) who held the Padres to one run on three hits through six innings in his last start. On the season, Bauer has an impressive 36/6 K/BB ratio through 26 innings. The Dodgers are 20-7 (+11% ROI) off a loss in the same series since the start of the 2020 season. 8* play on Los Angeles Dodgers. |
04-24-21 | Phillies v. Rockies UNDER 10 | 7-5 | Loss | -104 | 18 h 32 m | Show
MIKE'S PHILLIES @ ROCKIES SATURDAY NIGHT BOOKIE BU$TER TOTAL Coors Field is known as a hitters park, but the bookmakers are of course also aware and know casual bettors will take the over no matter the line. Note that under is 8-3-1 in Rockies home games with a total of 9 or higher this season. Philadelphia right-hander Aaron Nola (1-1, 2.19 ERA) knocked out 10 through nine scoreless innings of two-hit ball last time out. Rockies' Antonio Senzatela (1-3, 5.40 ERA) has allowed only two runs through 14 innings in his last two starts at Coors. Last season Senzatela posted a 2.10 ERA in five home starts. The two teams combined for nine runs in the series opener on Friday. I think we'll see even fewer runs here in Game 2. 8/10* play on UNDER. |
04-24-21 | Phillies -1.5 v. Rockies | 7-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
MIKE'S PHILLIES @ ROCKIES SATURDAY NIGHT BOOKIE BU$TER SIDE Coors Field is known as a hitters park, but the bookmakers are of course also aware and know casual bettors will take the over no matter the line. I don't see the Rockies getting to Nola, but Phillies should be able to put some runs on the board. I like the visitors to cover the runline. 8/10* play on Philadelphia -1.5. |
04-24-21 | Royals v. Tigers UNDER 8 | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 45 m | Show |
MIKE'S AL CENTRAL GAME OF THE MONTH | TOP-RATED MLB MAJOR WAGER This looks like a tough spot for the hitters after playing Friday night and now asked to play early Saturday on very short rest. Additionally, we have two hot pitchers on the mound. KC right-hander Brady Singer (0-2, 3.77 ERA) is coming off six scoreless innings of two-hit ball against Toronto (2-0 Royals win). Detroit left-hander Matthew Boyd (2-1, 2.03 ERA) has allowed 0, 3, 1, 2 runs in his four starts on the season. Under is 17-4 in Royals' last 21 games vs. a left-handed starter. Detroit is 12-7 to the under on the season and ranks among the worst for most offensive stats. 10/10* play on UNDER. |
04-23-21 | Diamondbacks v. Braves -165 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 15 h 23 m | Show
MIKE'S TGIF MLB BOOKIE BREAKER *NO BRAINER* The Atlanta Braves are a rather sizable favorite in this matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks, but I think they'll prove well worthy of the price we're asked to pay. Arizona right-hander Luke Weaver (1-1, 3.78 ERA) was knocked around to the tune of four runs on eight hits in four innings of a 6-2 loss to Washington in his last start. Weaver is 1-1 with a 4.86 ERA in three career starts against the Braves. Additionally, Atlanta may get slugger Ronald Acuna Jr. back in the lineup for this matchup after recovering from an abdominal strain. Atlanta hands the ball to right-hander Huascar Ynoa (0-1, 3.94 ERA) for his first career appearance against the Diamondbacks. Ynoa was also smacked around in his last start, but he had allowed only one run on five hits with 15 Ks through 11 innings in his first two starts of the season. The Diamondbacks have won five straight following a dramatic extra-inning win at Cincinnati yesterday. I think they'll come crashing down Friday night. 8* play on Atlanta Braves. |
04-22-21 | Diamondbacks v. Reds -133 | 14-11 | Loss | -133 | 6 h 60 m | Show
SUPER EARLY MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE *NO BRAINER* I think we'll see a fired-up Cincinnati Reds team today as they look to deny the Arizona Diamondbacks to complete the sweep of this three-game series. The Reds are 6-1 in their last 7 games after losing the first 2 games of a series and today's starter Jeff Hoffman (2-1, 2.93 ERA) is off to a fast start to the season. Hoffman has held two of three opponents to only one run. The D'Backs counter with Taylor Widener (1-0, 1.59 ERA) who has been excellent in two of three starts, the exception when he gave up four runs (three earned) in five innings of a 6-5 Arizona loss to the Reds on April 9. Diamondbacks are 3-13 in their last 16 during game 3 of a series. 8* play on Cincinnati Reds. |
04-21-21 | Cardinals v. Nationals UNDER 8 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 54 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #3 I'm well happy to take the under here with these two pitchers on the mound. Sure, the Cards Carlos Martinez (0-3, 7.80 ERA) has had a disastrous start to the year, but I think he'll get in the groove soon. We can also note that the Nats are averaging only 3.83 runs per game. As for Washington ace Max Scherzer (0-1, 2.37 ERA), he is obviously a stud and he owns a 3.31 ERA in 11 career starts against the Cardinals. Last time out, Scherzer threw seven scoreless innings of a 1-0 Nats win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, but he did not get the decision. The Cards won Tuesday's matchup 3-2, and I would not be surprised if we see a similar amount of runs in this one. 8* play on UNDER 8. |
04-21-21 | Twins v. A's UNDER 8 | 12-13 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 24 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #1 The Minnesota Twins were shut out by Oakland not only once, but twice in Tuesday's doubleheader. I think we'll see another low-scoring encounter between the two teams today. Oakland right-hander Frankie Montas (2-1, 4.91 ERA) fanned seven through six innings of two-hit ball against Detroit last time out. He limited Houston to one run through six innings his last start prior to that. Only five Twins (combined 12 at bats) have any experience of Montas. Minnesota counters with Kenta Maeda (1-1, 3.07 ERA). In his last two starts, the two teams have combined for only five runs per game. Maeda has struck out 16 through 14 2/3 innings of work on the season and only three A's hitters have seen him before (.125 AVG over eight at bats). Under is 13-4-1 in Twins last 18 Wednesday games. Under is 8-3 in Athletics last 11 after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game. 8* play on UNDER. |
04-21-21 | Twins -101 v. A's | 12-13 | Loss | -101 | 10 h 24 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #2 The Minnesota Twins were shut out by Oakland not only once, but twice in Tuesday's doubleheader. In addition to the under, I also like Minnesota to come out swinging after getting embarrassed two times over yesterday. 8* play on Minnesota Twins. |
04-21-21 | Giants v. Phillies UNDER 8.5 | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 5 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH ALERT | TOP-RATED 10* NL TOTAL MAJOR WAGER The San Francisco Giants came from behind the beat the Philadelphia Phillies 10-7 on Tuesday. I expect a much low-scoring affair in this one. Philadelphia righty Zach Eflin (1-0, 3.15 ERA) struck out six through seven innings of two-run ball against the Cards last time out. Eflin has posted a 1.93 ERA with 14 Ks and only 10 hits allowed over 14 innings in two home starts on the season. San Francisco righty Anthony DeSclafani (1-0, 1.06 ERA) has allowed only two runs over 17 innings in 2021. Under is 7-2 in Giants' last 9 road games and 12-4 in all Giants' games on the season. 10* play on UNDER. |
04-20-21 | Giants v. Phillies -151 | 10-7 | Loss | -151 | 15 h 45 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE *NO BRAINER* This looks like a great spot to back the Philadelphia Phillies who will be hungry and motivated after getting shut out in the opener of this three-game series on Monday. Giants' righty Logan Webb (0-1, 4.76 ERA) has made two starts on the season, allowing six runs on 15 hits with a pair of homers over 10 1/3 innings of work. The Phillies counter with Zack Wheeler (1-2, 3.00 ERA) who held Atlanta to just one hit over seven scoreless innings of a 4-0 win in his lone home start of the season so far. Wheeler has the players on this Giants roster limited to a .168 AVG over a combined 77 at bats. 8* play on Philadelphia Phillies. |
04-19-21 | Brewers v. Padres UNDER 7 | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 15 h 0 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MONDAY NIGHT BREWERS @ PADRES *BEST BET* The San Diego Padres are 11-6 to the under on the season and right-hander Joe Musgrove (2-1, 0.47 ERA) has allowed only one run with 24 strikeouts over his 19 innings on the mound. The Milwaukee Brewers have been held to two runs or fewer in three of their last six games and they're batting only .209 on the season (28th). Brewers righty Brandon Woodruff (0-0, 2.12 ERA) limited the Cubs to one run on three hits in six innings last time out. Woodruff has 19 Ks over 17 innings on the mound and has yet to serve up a home run in 2021. 10* play on UNDER. |
04-19-21 | White Sox v. Red Sox +108 | 4-11 | Win | 108 | 2 h 15 m | Show
SUPER EARLY WHITE SOX @ RED SOX BOOKIE BREAKER I like the Boston Red Sox to tie this series at two apiece with a win as an underdog early Monday afternoon. Red Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (2-1, 2.08 ERA) is off to a fast start to the season, having allowed one, one, and two runs in his three starts, covering a total of 17 1/3 innings. Outdueling White Sox's ace righty Lucas Giolito (1-0, 2.55) is not an easy task, but that's why we're getting this good of a price on Boston. I expect the home team to be more hungry and zoned in for this one. 8* play on Boston Red Sox. |
04-18-21 | Tigers v. A's -135 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* AMERICAN LEAGUE MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE Oakland Athletics' right-hander Chris Bassitt (1-2, 4.96 ERA) picked up his first win when he held Arizona to a pair of runs on two hits through five innings of a 9-5 Oakland win last time out. Bassitt is 4-2 with a 3.35 ERA in six career starts against the Tigers who counter with left-hander Matthew Boyd. While Boyd (2-1, 1.86 ERA) is off to a fast start to the season, note that he has yet to beat Oakland in his career, going 0-1 with a 5.56 ERA in two starts. The A's are riding a seven-game winning streak, including taking the first three of this four-game series while outscoring the Tigers 18-4. I think we're getting a great price on Oakland to complete the sweep. 10* play on Oakland Athletics. |
04-18-21 | Giants v. Marlins UNDER 8 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 28 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #2 The San Francisco Giants are struggling at the plate, averaging only 3.47 runs per game (29th) with a .208 AVG (28th). Here they'll have to deal with Pablo Lopez (0-1, 4.60 ERA) who owns a career ERA of 3.14 home at Marlins Park. The Giants turn to left-hander Alex Wood for his first start of the season. Wood owns a 2.77 ERA in 15 appearances, including 12 career starts against the Marlins. He has the current Marlins limited to a .227 AVG with 12 strikeouts over 49 plate appearances. 8* play on UNDER. |
04-18-21 | Indians v. Reds UNDER 7.5 | 6-3 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 26 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK #3 The Cleveland Indians are 10-4 to the under on the season. They'll face a Cincinnati team that averages a league-best 6.39 runs per game, but note that Tribe righty and reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Shane Bieber (1-1, 2.11 ERA) is 2-0 with a 3.15 ERA in three career starts versus Cincinnati. He has the current Reds limited to a .204 AVG with 13 Ks over 52 plate appearances. The Reds counter with Wade Miley (2-0, 0.00 ERA) who has a 4.60 ERA in seven starts against the Indians, but he has not faced them for a couple of years. 8* play on UNDER 7.5. |
04-18-21 | Cardinals v. Phillies UNDER 8 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show
MLB 3-PACK St. Louis Cardinals' righty John Gant (0-1, 3.00 ERA) has struggled somewhat with his command, allowing six walks over nine innings of work on the season but I like his chances of shutting down the Phillies. Philadelphia right-hander Aaron Nola (0-1, 3.45 ERA) has been solid in his three starts and only surrendered one home run and walked three through 15 2/3 innings of work. I expect both teams' bats to cool off after combining for 24 runs in the first two games of this series. 8* play on UNDER 8. |

04-17-21 | Indians v. Reds -125 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 14 h 42 m | Show
SATURDAY AFTERNOON MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians are both at 7-5 on the season after a 10-3 Reds win in the opener of this three-game series on Friday. Today the Reds hand the ball to right-hander Sonny Gray for this first start of the season. Gray was 5-3 with a 3.70 ERA with Cincinnati last year and he has the current members of the Tribe limited to a .184 batting average over 81 plate appearances. Cleveland hands the ball to Triston McKenzie (0-1, 4.70 ERA) for his third start of the season. The Indians have lost each of his first two starts, and the right-hander has yet to make it past the fourth inning. Sure, Cleveland has a solid bullpen, but it could still become an issue as their relievers were asked to cover seven innings in last night's loss. 8* play on Cincinnati Reds. |

04-17-21 | Diamondbacks v. Nationals UNDER 9 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 12 h 51 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY D'BACKS @ NATS TOTAL TOP PLAY | 1:05 FIRST PITCH The Washington Nationals won Friday's matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks 1-0. I expect another low-scoring affair when the two teams clash for Game 3 of this series on Saturday. Arizona right-hander Luke Weaver (1-0, 2.13 ERA) is off to a fast start to the season. In his last start, Weaver held Cincinnati to one hit with eight Ks through seven scoreless innings. Weaver has not faced the Nats since the 2018 season, and note that the Nats are averaging only 3.76 runs per game (28th). Washington counters with Erick Fedde (0-1, 8.53 ERA) who was roughed up by Atlanta in his first start of the season, but he held the Cards to one run on two hits in 4 2/3 frames last time out. Fedde has not faced Arizona since the 2019 season. Arizona's relievers have combined for a 3.91 ERA (12th) while the Nats' bullpen ranks 20th with a 4.23 ERA. Still, I like the under in this one. 10* play on UNDER. |
