11-22-17 | Raptors v. Knicks +4.5 | 100-108 | Win | 100 | 12 h 40 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The New York Knicks took a 107-84 loss at Toronto on Nov. 17, but they bounced back right away by defeating the Clippers by 20+ points here at Madison Square Garden a couple of days later. The Knicks are a sizzling 8-3 (9-2 ATS & 7-0 ATS L7) at home on the season, and I think they'll get their revenge against the Raptors here. Toronto enters Wednesday's tilt riding a four-game winning streak but I would not be surprised to see the Raptors come out flat tonight. Raptors are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in New York. My selection is an 8* play on NY Knicks. |
11-22-17 | Manchester United -115 v. Basel | 0-1 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 23 m | Show
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BANKROLL BUILDER Manchester United will visit Basel in the Champions League on Wednesday, and I think they'll return home to England with three more points and a guaranteed group victory. Man U defeated Basel 3-0 home at Old Trafford a couple of weeks ago and they're coming off a dominant display in last weekend's 4-1 win against Newcastle. Basel are second in the group, but they had gone three straight games all competitions included without a win before defeating Sion 5-1 last weekend. They took a 3-1 loss against CSKA Moscow at home their last time out in the Champions League, and today's opponent is much much stronger than CSKA. My selection is an 8* play on Man Utd. |
11-21-17 | Texas-Arlington +10.5 v. Alabama | 76-77 | Win | 100 | 15 h 36 m | Show
CBB BOOKIE BREAKER Two undefeated teams will clash at Coleman Coliseum Tuesday night when the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the UT Arlington Mavericks in the Barclays Center Classic. Alabama has won its first three games by an average of 23.7 points, but the Mavs shocked BYU by winning 89-75 as an 8-point road dog their last time out and they have plenty of routine with five senior starters. I think Bama has had it too easy so far and running a major risk of underestimating UT Arlington. Take the points. My selection is an 8* play on UT Arlington Mavericks. |
11-21-17 | Oilers v. Blues -145 | Top | 3-8 | Win | 100 | 15 h 4 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The St. Louis Blues look like a solid home favorite when they host the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday night. Edmonton has lost four of its last five games and reigning Hart Trophy recipient Connor McDavid missed Monday's practice with an illness. He might play but will probably not be 100%. The Blues are coming off a three-game trip through western Canada which included a 4-1 beatdown of the Oilers at Edmonton. They're 9-2 in their last 11 home games and 10-3 in the last 13 meetings with the Oilers at St. Louis. My selection is an 10* play on St. Louis Blues. |
11-21-17 | Liverpool v. Sevilla FC OVER 3 | 3-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 23 m | Show
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BANKROLL BUILDER Sevilla host Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday, and I would be very surprised if we won't see at least four goals in this contest. Liverpool enter this game on a four-game winning streak, scoring a total of 13 goals in the process. Their defending often leaves a lot to be desired though, and Sevilla no doubt have the weapons to hurt them. Each of Sevilla's last seven games have seen three goals or more and we saw a 2-2 draw when they took on Liverpool at Anfield about two months ago. My selection is an 8* play on Over. |
11-20-17 | Thunder -2.5 v. Pelicans | 107-114 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 42 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The Oklahoma City Thunder had won three straight prior to taking a 104-101 loss at San Antonio last Friday. I think they'll bounce back here when visiting the struggling Pelicans at New Orleans Monday night. The Pels have surrendered an average of 135.5 points through back-to-back losses to Denver and Toronto. They allowed the most points in an NBA game this season in Friday's 146-114 loss at Denver and are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points. Thunder are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings, and this looks like a good enough spot to make it five in a row. My selection is an 8* play on Oklahoma City Thunder. |
11-20-17 | Cavs -2 v. Pistons | Top | 116-88 | Win | 100 | 19 h 8 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) The Detroit Pistons are sitting top of the Central Division with the Cleveland Cavaliers in second place two games back. I have no doubt that the roles will be reversed shortly though, and I expect a blowout win for the Cavs when the two division rivals clash Monday night. Note that Detroit is in a letdown spot after snapping a two-game skid with a 100-97 win at Minnesota on Sunday. How much gas is left in the tank for this contest? The Cleveland Cavaliers have finally started to show the grit and desire they missed at the start of the season and enter this game on a four-game winning streak. My NBA Game of the Week is a 10* play on Cleveland Cavaliers. |
11-20-17 | Pacers v. Magic -3.5 | 105-97 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 37 m | Show
NBA NO-BRAINER The Indiana Pacers are riding a three-game winning streak as they head to Orlando to take on the Magic Monday night. I think they're about to run into some serious trouble here though with the Magic desperate for a win after suffering four straight defeats. The last was the worst of the bunch when they took a 125-85 beating against the Pacers here at Amway Center. "Monday is a must-win for this group," Magic point guard Elfrid Payton told the Orlando Sentinel. "Obviously, it’s still early. We still have time to get better. But internally I feel like we’ve got to show some fight." Sounds like the home team will play with a lot of desire, and we can note that Indiana won 120-95 at Miami last night and just 6-14-1 ATS in its last 21 games playing on no rest. My selection is an 8* play on Orlando Magic. |
11-20-17 | Stoke City v. Brighton and Hove Albion +130 | 2-2 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 59 m | Show
MONDAY PREMIER LEAGUE PUNISHER Brighton are doing surprisingly well here in their first season in the Premier League, particularly at home where they've picked up eight points in five games (2W 2D 1L). On Monday they'll host a Stoke City side that has picked up only four points in five games on the road (1W 1D 3L), with 11 goals conceded in those games. Brighton forward Glenn Murray has scored four goals in his last three games and he won't have to worry about injured Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland. My selection is an 8* play on Brighton. |
11-20-17 | UMKC v. Manhattan -6.5 | 74-63 | Loss | -108 | 3 h 50 m | Show
SUPER EARLY UMKC/MANHATTAN MONEYMAKER The Manhattan Jaspers look like a good favorite when they take on the UMKC Kangaroos in the Gulf Coast Showcase at Germain Arena early Monday. Manhattan has started the season with pair of wins and its coming off a 73-69 win as a 3.5-point dog against Harvard. It held the lead for the majority of the game and shot a solid 49 percent from the field (58.8 percent from behind the arc). The Kangaroos have dropped three of their first four games of the season and took a 66-56 loss against Loyola Chicago their last time out. They're 2-6 ATS in their last eight games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight neutral site games. The Jaspers meanwhile are 7-2 ATS in their last nine neutral site games. My selection is an 8* play on Manhattan Jaspers. |
11-19-17 | Nuggets -4.5 v. Lakers | Top | 109-127 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 25 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The Denver Nuggets are aiming for their fifth win in six games when they visit the Lakers at LA Sunday night. They shot an amazing 62.9 percent from the floor in Friday's 146-114 drubbing of the Pelicans, and I don't think they should have any trouble to pile up the points here against a Lakers side that has lost five of its last six and allowed 218.5 ppg through its last two games. Nuggets are 24-9 ATS in their last 33 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game and 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings at Staples Center. My selection is a 10* play on Denver Nuggets. |
11-19-17 | Eagles -3 v. Cowboys | Top | 37-9 | Win | 100 | 155 h 38 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NFL GAME OF THE WEEK The Philadelphia Eagles had reeled off seven straight wins before entering their bye week, and I think they'll pick up right where they left off and take down the Cowboys at Dallas Sunday night. The Cowboys will have to do without their star running back Ezekiel Elliot due to suspension, and they really missed him in last week's 27-7 loss at Atlanta. They had won three straight prior to that, but their offense became way too one-dimensional without Elliott and QB Dak Prescott is likely to be under heavy fire once again here against a solid Philadelphia D. The Cowboys are just 2-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and I don't see them hanging around with the 8-1 Eagles. My NFL Game of the Week is a 10* play on Philadelphia Eagles. |
11-19-17 | Kings -106 v. Golden Knights | 2-4 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 5 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Vegas Knights are 7-1-0 home at T-Mobile Arena, but I think they're doomed to take their second home loss when they host the LA Kings Sunday night. The Kings snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-0 win against Florida last night. Playing on no rest shouldn't affect the Kings that much though, and their defense is ranked 2nd in goals allowed, giving up just 2.42 gpg on the season. Solid D is a great recipe for success on the road, and the Kings are indeed 6-2-0 away from home. Vegas has lost six of its last 10 games following a red hot start, and I think they'll come up short here against a quality Kings team. My selection is an 8* play on LA Kings. |
11-19-17 | Bengals v. Broncos -2.5 | 20-17 | Loss | -116 | 103 h 56 m | Show
NFL ATS ANNIHILATOR The Denver Broncos took a 41-16 loss at home to the Patriots on Sunday night to make it five defeats in a row. I think they'll do much better here when they host the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon. Note that Denver is 10-4 ATS in its last 14 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game and that the Bengals have dropped three of their last four and been out-gained by quite a large margin in each game. The Broncos have no doubt struggled to move the ball lately, but that should all change here against a Bengals team that has allowed 23 points or more in four straight games. My selection is an 8* play on Denver Broncos. |
11-19-17 | Lions -2.5 v. Bears | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 122 h 34 m | Show
NFL NO-BRAINER The Detroit Lions will travel to Chicago feeling pretty confident about themselves following wins against Green Bay and most recently Cleveland. The Bears meanwhile will look to snap a two game skid after losses to New Orleans and Green Bay. The Bears defense had trouble stopping the run in the loss to the Packers last week, and surrendered a total of 342 total yards. Bad news when facing a Detroit offense that has found its groove and scored a total of 68 points through its last two games. Detroit QB Matthew Stafford threw for 249 yards with three touchdowns and one interception against Cleveland and I think he'll have plenty of success against the Bears as well. My selection is an 8* play on Detroit Lions. |
11-18-17 | Warriors -8.5 v. 76ers | Top | 124-116 | Loss | -102 | 21 h 14 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Golden State Warriors had won seven straight prior to taking a 92-88 loss at Boston their last time out. They'll be looking to get back to their winning ways right away, and Philadelphia 76ers look like a perfect victim. The 76ers will play their first game following a five-game road trip, which included a 135-114 loss at Golden State a week ago. They did however conclude the trip with back-to-back wins against Clippers and Lakers, putting them in a letdown spot here. My selection is a 10* play on Golden State Warriors. |
11-18-17 | Celtics -6.5 v. Hawks | 110-99 | Win | 100 | 21 h 33 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to 14 games when they defeated Golden State 92-88 on Thursday to end the Warriors' own seven-game winning streak. We've cashed in plenty and often with the Celtics during their run, and I don't see any reason not to back them again, this time at Atlanta Saturday night. The Hawks handed Sacramento a 126-80 defeated their last time out, but they still own one of the worst records in NBA and they're just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. My selection is an 8* play on Boston Celtics. |
11-18-17 | Clippers v. Hornets -4.5 | 87-102 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The LA Clippers took an 118-113 OT loss at Cleveland Friday night, making them an auto-fade for me here the next night. The Clippers are banged up and Blake Griffin and the rest of the starters were forced to log heavy minutes in the defeat. Note that Clippers are 0-4 ATS in their last four games playing on no rest. The Charlotte Hornets did also take a loss last night then they fell 123-120 at Chicago. They have the luxury of not coming off an OT though, and managed to spread out the minutes better among their players. The Clippers have lost six straight and the Hornets five in a row. I like the home team to come through and and its skid here at Spectrum Center Saturday night. My selection is an 8* play on Charlotte Hornets. |
11-18-17 | UAB +10.5 v. Florida | 7-36 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 22 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY The Florida Gators have lost five straight games while UAB Blazers have won four in a row, two of them as sizable dogs on the road (+11.5 at Southern Mississippi and +7 at Texas-San Antonio). This is simply a case of riding the hot team. My selection is an 8* play on UAB Blazers. |
11-18-17 | Central Florida v. Temple +14 | Top | 45-19 | Loss | -105 | 50 h 17 m | Show |
CFB GAME OF THE WEEK The UCF Knights head to Lincoln Financial Field with a perfect 9-0 SU record, but I think they're in for tough game here against the Temple Owls. The cold weather in Philadelphia should be an advantage for the home team, and we can note that the Owls are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games in November and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games while the Knights are 0-4 ATS in their last four games November games. UCF has been asked to cover way too large spreads lately, going 0-3 ATS through its last three games. I really like the Owls chances of keeping this a close game. My CFB Game of the Week is a 10* play on Temple Owls |
11-18-17 | TCU v. Texas Tech +6 | 27-3 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 44 m | Show
CFB AFTERNOON ATS ANNIHILATOR The Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated the TCU Horned Frogs 27-24 in OT on the road last year, and I think they'll keep it a close game home at Jones AT&T Stadium this Saturday. Texas Tech snapped a four-game skid by winning 38-24 at Baylor as a 10-point favorite last week while TCU lost for the second time in three games when it fell 38-20 as a 6-point dog at Oklahoma. The Horned Frogs need to win their final two games to reach the new Big 12 championship game while Texas Tech needs one more win to become bowl eligible. Plenty of motivation for both sides on top of the in-state rivalry. The Horned Frogs' senior starting QB Kenny Hill did not travel with the team to Texas Tech so we'll see freshman backup Shawn Robinson under center instead. TCU's most productive running back, Darius Anderson (768 yards, eight touchdowns) suffered a right foot injury against Oklahoma and is out for the rest of the season. Tough spot, and I'm taking the points on the home team. My selection is an 8* play on Texas Tech Red Raiders. |
11-18-17 | Tottenham Hotspur v. Arsenal | Top | 0-2 | Loss | -100 | 49 h 37 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* PREMIER LEAGUE GAME OF THE WEEK Arsenal are undefeated home at Emirates Stadium through five Premier League games this season, but I think that winning streak will come to an end when they host North London rivals Tottenham on Saturday. Spurs have the second best road record in the league with four wins and a loss, and they're undefeated through the last six PL meetings with Arsenal with two wins and four draws. Tottenham have a well oiled machine with all players well happy to fight for manager Mauricio Pochettino while Arsenal's two superstars Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil seem to be all but happy with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. We can also note that Spurs trio Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Harry Winks are all expected to feature despite pulling out of the England squad during the International break. Good time for them to rest and recover. With the risk of a draw, I recommend taking Tottenham +0, which gives us our stake back in case of a draw. My Premier League Game of the Week is a 10* play on Tottenham PK. |
11-17-17 | Clippers v. Cavs -6.5 | Top | 113-118 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 2 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA The Cleveland Cavaliers are riding their first three-game winning streak of the season despite playing the last four on the road, and I like what I've seen from the Cavs lately with come-from-behind wins in each of the last two games. Not that they've played terrific basketball or anything, but at least they're showing some fight, and it's only matter of time before they really start to click. Here the Cavs host a banged up Clippers team that has lost six straight games and failed to cover the spread each time. They really miss Patrick Beverley who has missed the last three games with a sore right knee and is expected to miss this game as well. The Cavs are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings at Quicken Loans Arena. My selection is a 10* play on Cleveland Cavaliers. |
11-17-17 | Pistons +1.5 v. Pacers | 100-107 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 32 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Detroit Pistons had won five straight before losing 99-95 at Milwaukee on Wednesday. I think they'll rebound right away with a win at Indiana Friday night. Note that the Pistons are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a straight up loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five Friday night fights. The Indiana Pacers meanwhile are just 1-5 ATS in their last six Friday games and in a letdown spot after winning 116-113 at Memphis as a 3-point underdog on Wednesday. They've won just two of their last seven games and nearly coughed up a 17-point lead in the final nine minutes against the Grizzlies. My selection is an 8* play on Detroit Pistons. |
11-17-17 | Heat v. Wizards -4.5 | 91-88 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 30 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Washington Wizards are going for five wins a row when they host the Heat Friday night. They won the first game of the home-and-home set 102-93 in South Beach Wednesday night, and I think they'll prevail with a similar scoreline home at Capital One Arena. Note that the Heat are struggling to upset good teams and just 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record while the Wizards are 4-0 ATS in their last four games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. The Wizards are playing well at the moment and I expect them to win and cover. My selection is an 8* play on Washington Wizards. |
11-16-17 | Blues +105 v. Oilers | Top | 4-1 | Win | 105 | 14 h 37 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The St. Louis Blues are coming off back-to-back losses to the Islanders and Calgary, but note that they're 12-5 after two losses in a row since the start of the 2016/2017 season. They'll have a rest advantage, playing on two days of rest while the Oilers will be playing on one days rest and this will be their fourth game in six nights. Edmonton beat Vegas 8-2 its last time out and might be in for a letdown game here. The Blues have won six of the last eight meetings at Edmonton, and I think they'll put an end to their current losing streak with a win at Rogers Place tonight. My selection is a 10* play on St. Louis Blues. |
11-16-17 | Warriors v. Celtics +7 | Top | 88-92 | Win | 100 | 15 h 29 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA GAME OF THE WEEK The Boston Celtics are aiming for a 14th straight victory when they host the reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors Thursday night. We've cashed in plenty with the Celtics during their winning streak, and I think they're catching way too many points to pass up on in this matchup. The Warriors have played some impressive basketball lately as well and own the second-longest winning streak in the NBA at seven games, but we can note that they're just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 2-6 ATS in their last eight against teams from the East. A thigh contusion kept Warriors' Stephen Curry inactive in their last win, a 110-100 victory against the visiting Magic on Monday, but he is expected to go tonight. Still, the Celtics own the best defense in the NBA limiting opponents to an average of 94.5 points and the underdog is 24-8-1 ATS in the last 33 meetings. My NBA Game of the Week is a 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
11-15-17 | Cavs -125 v. Hornets | Top | 115-107 | Win | 100 | 15 h 19 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA The Cleveland Cavaliers will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they visit the Charlotte Hornets Wednesday night. They showed great morale and fighting spirit on Monday as they overcame a 23-point deficit to defeat the Knicks 104-101 at the Garden. Tonight they'll visit a Hornets side Hornets who will play its first game since returning home from an 0-4 road trip, typically not a pretty tough spot. The Cavs are 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings with the Hornets and I would not be surprised to see them go on a big run after a slow start to the season. My selection is a 10* play on Cleveland Cavaliers. |
11-15-17 | Raptors v. Pelicans -3.5 | 125-116 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 18 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Toronto Raptors impressed (and probably spent a lot of energy) when they defeated the Rockets 129-113 at Houston on Tuesday. I think they'll struggle here at New Orleans the following night. New Orleans has won its last two games and five of its last six. Note that the Pels will be looking to revenge a 122-118 loss at Toronto on Nov. 9 and that they're 5-1 ATS on the season against opponents they lost the last meeting against. My selection is an 8* play on New Orleans Pelicans. |
11-15-17 | Rangers +116 v. Blackhawks | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL GAME OF THE WEEK The red hot New York Rangers look like great value when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks Wednesday night. The Rangers had a terrible start to the season, but they travel to United Center on a six-game winning streak during which they've beaten both Tampa Bay and Florida on the road. The Blackhawks meanwhile have dropped three of their last four and took a 7-5 beating by New Jersey their last time out, despite closing as a -200 favorite. Their star netminder Corey Crawford was chased off the ice after conceding six and we can note that the Blackhawks are 5-12 in their last 17 after allowing five goals or more in their previous game. Rangers are 35-16 in their last 51 when their opponent allows five goals or more in their previous game. The value here is clearly on the dog. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on New York Rangers. |
11-15-17 | Jazz v. Knicks -4 | 101-106 | Win | 100 | 15 h 47 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Utah Jazz are struggling big time at the moment, travelling to New York as losers of five of their last six games. Tonight they'll take on a Knicks team that has played great basketball of late, and the Knickerbockers will be looking to bounce back from a tight loss to Cleveland after a second-half collapse. The Jazz are 2-10 ATS in the last 12 meetings at MSG and the only Western Conference team without a road win (0-4 on the season). My selection is an 8* play on NY Knicks. |
11-14-17 | Canucks v. Kings UNDER 5.5 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 18 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL TOTAL The LA Kings are a big home favorite when they host the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday night, but they've dropped three of their last four games as they've struggled to find the net. They're however still one of the best defensive units in the NHL, conceding just 2.41 goals per game this season, and netminder Jonathan Quick has a stellar 1.61 GAA and .939 SV% in 32 career matchups with the Canucks. Vancouver has also lost three of its last four games and mustered just one goal through its last two. Under is 15-5-3 in Canucks last 23 vs. a team with a winning record. My selection is an 8* play on Under. |
11-14-17 | Kansas -4.5 v. Kentucky | 65-61 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 10 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT CBB BANK BREAKER The No. 4 Kansas Jayhakws will take on the No. 5 Kentucky Wildcats at United Center in Chicago Tuesday night, and I'm not afraid to give the points and back the Jayhawks in this matchup. Kentucky has a talented team, but it has not impressed through its first two games despite going undefeated, only beating Utah Valley by 10 points and Vermont by four points. Here the Wildcats will run into an experienced Jayhawks side which put a 92-56 beating on Tennessee State on Friday. The Jayhawks have the experience the Wildcats miss, and I think it will shine through in this game. My selection is an 8* play on Kansas Jayhawks. |
11-14-17 | Raptors v. Rockets -6.5 | Top | 129-113 | Loss | -102 | 17 h 36 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA NO-BRAINER The Toronto Raptors fought hard in a 95-94 loss to a shorthanded Celtics side on Sunday. I don't think they have a enough gas left in the tank to keep up with the high-tempo Houston Rockets here just one day later. Note that the Raptors are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games vs. a team with a winning straight up record, 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on one days rest and 0-7 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games. The Rockets are flying high, coming off six straight victories and covering the spread in all but one game during that stretch (a 117-113 win against the Cavs, closing as a 5.5-point favorite). The Rockets are streaky, but well worth to ride when they're shooting well from the perimeter. That's certainly been the case lately, and I would not be surprised to see the score run away in the end here and I think the home team will win this one by double-digits. My selection is a 10* play on Houston Rockets. |
11-13-17 | Magic v. Warriors -14.5 | Top | 100-110 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 40 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The red hot Golden State Warriors have found their groove, coming off six straight victories (6-0 ATS) and covering the spread by double-digits more often than not during that stretch. Here they'll close out a three-game homestand before travelling to Boston to take on the Celtics, and I think they'll avoid the temptation to look ahead and that we'll instead see a focused Warriors side preparing for that contest. The Orlando Magic took a 125-107 beating at Denver their last time out, and this will be their third game on a four-game trip. Their defending has been really suspect of late, and the Magic are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record while the Warriors are 3-1 ATS as a favorite of 13 points or more on the season. There's no way Orlando can slow down the high-scoring Warriors, and as a bonus we can note that Magic are 1-5 ATS in their last six Monday games while Warriors are 6-1 ATS in their last seven Monday games. My selection is a 10* play on Golden State Warriors. |

11-13-17 | Blues -110 v. Flames | 4-7 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 26 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Calgary Flames are 4-2 during their seven-game homestand, but I think they'll come up short when they host the St. Louis Blues here in the finale Monday night. The Blues have an impressive 13-4-1 record overall this season and they're 6-2-1 on the road. They took a 5-2 beating by the Islanders on Saturday, but the Blues are 9-3 in their last 12 games following a loss of three or more goals and I expect a much better performance tonight. Note that the Blues are averaging a healthy 3.11 goals on the season and Calgary's netminder Mike Smith is just 4-14 with a 3.52 GAA in previous meetings with St. Louis. My selection is an 8* play on St. Louis Blues. |
11-13-17 | Jacksonville State v. Richmond -3.5 | 94-61 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 55 m | Show
SUPER EARLY ATS ANNIHILATOR The Richmond Spiders took a 76-63 home loss as a 10-point favorite against Delaware in their season opener, but I think they'll do much better here when they host the Jacksonville St. Gamecocks Monday night. Jacksonville St. comes off of a 100-42 victory versus the Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs, but this is obviously a big step up in competition. Richmond is vastly underrated because of its clunker in the season premiere, and we can note that it won all four home games coming off a home loss last season. I predict an easy ATS cover for the home team in this contest. My selection is an 8* play on Richmond Spiders. |
11-12-17 | Eastern Washington +10 v. Washington | 69-79 | Push | 0 | 9 h 54 m | Show
LATE CBB BANKROLL BUILDER The Washington Huskies opened the season with an 86-82 win against Belmont on Friday, despite closing as a 2-point dog and trailing by eight at the break. They fought hard in the second half, and we could see some stiff legs in the Huskies camp here when they host instate rival Eastern Washington Eagles Sunday night. The Eagles are coming off a comfortable 82-61 thumping of the Walla Walla Warriors, and they're 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games. My selection is an 8* play on Eastern Washington Eagles. |
11-12-17 | Heat v. Pistons -3 | Top | 103-112 | Win | 100 | 18 h 39 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER Here we have two teams in a completely different spot with the Detroit Pistons looking to cap off a five-game homestand with a fifth straight victory while the Miami Heat are closing out a tough six-game road trip. On top of that, the Heat must have spent a lot of energy when they came from behind to outscore the Jazz 47-25 in a 84-74 win at Utah on Friday. Heat are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Sunday games and 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Detroit. Pistons are 7-1 ATS in their last eight Sunday games and a dominant 6-1 SU (4-2-1 ATS) at home this season. My selection is a 10* play on Detroit Pistons. |
11-12-17 | Saints -2.5 v. Bills | Top | 47-10 | Win | 100 | 103 h 41 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NFL GAME OF THE WEEK The New Orleans Saints started the season 0-2, but they've reeled off six straight victories since and I think they'll make it seven in a row when they visit the Buffalo Bills Sunday afternoon. Buffalo does not have much to offer offensively, and the Bills have struggled on the defensive side of the ball lately as well. They gave up 34 points in last week's loss to the Jets and their D enters Week 10 ranked No. 20 in the overall NFL rankings and No. 26 against the pass. I don't see the Bills being able to stop QB Drew Brees and the rest of the Saints who rank 2nd in the NFL for total offense at 392.5 yards per game, and they're equally dangerous through the air and on the ground. The Bills are the only team in the AFC that's still undefeated at home this year, but the Saints got something special brewing this season. Als note that Bills are 12-26-2 ATS in their last 40 home games vs. a team with a winning road record while Saints are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 road games. My NFL Game of the Week is a 10* play on New Orleans Saints. |
11-12-17 | Vikings v. Redskins +1.5 | 38-30 | Loss | -107 | 51 h 17 m | Show
NFL 3-PACK The Minnesota Vikings are two games clear at the top the NFC North after reeling off four straight victories, but I think that streak is about to come to an end at Washington this Sunday. The Vikings momentum has been interrupted after a week off, and we can note that they're 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a bye week and 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games. The Redskins are coming off a meriting 17-14 win at Seattle to remain relevant in the NFC wild-card chase, but they really can't afford to lose at home here the following week. The Vikings have a strong D, but Redskins QB Kirk Cousins has thrown for 958 yards and six touchdowns in his last three home games and the Redskins defeated the Vikings 26-20 here at FedEx last season. I think they'll get the job done again this Sunday. My selection is an 8* play on Washington Redskins. |
11-12-17 | Browns v. Lions -10.5 | 24-38 | Win | 100 | 51 h 16 m | Show
NFL 3-PACK The Detroit Lions clobbered Green Bay 30-17 on Monday, and I think they'll keep rolling here when they host the woeful Cleveland Browns Sunday afternoon. The 0-8 Browns are coming off a bye-week, but that does not change the fact the they're absolutely terrible on both sides of the ball. Rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer struggles to find his targets while the defense is giving up 313.5 total yards and 25.3 points per game. They gave up 33 points to a mediocre Minnesota offense their last time out and I think the Matthew Stafford - Marvin Jones Jr. connection Detroit got going can do a lot of damage here. My selection is an 8* play on Detroit Lions. |
11-11-17 | Magic v. Nuggets -8 | 107-125 | Win | 100 | 14 h 47 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NBA NO-BRAINER The Orlando Magic are coming off a blowout victory at Phoenix Friday night to make it two wins in a row. They're in a really tough spot here though playing the second game of a back-to-back set as fatigue and the high altitude in Denver don’t mix well at all. The Nuggets have won four of their last five and handed OKC a 102-94 defeat here at Pepsi Center on Thursday. Denver defeated Orlando in both meetings last season, covering the spread with ease in both contests. My selection is an 8* play on Denver Nuggets. |
11-11-17 | Notre Dame -3 v. Miami-FL | 8-41 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 60 m | Show
SATURDAY NIGHT CFB CA$H COW The Miami Hurricanes are still undefeated on the season following a 28-10 triumph over ACC rival and then-No. 13 Virginia Tech, but I think that's about to change when they host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Saturday night. The Irish are pounding teams on the ground averaging 324.8 rushing yards per game, and Miami has struggled against the rush giving up 176 yards or more in the four games prior to limiting Virginia Tech to 102. Notre Dame is a solid 7-2 ATS on the season (3-0 on the road) while Miami is just 4-4 ATS (2-3 at home). My selection is an 8* play on Notre Dame Fighting Irish. |
11-11-17 | Kings v. Knicks -5 | Top | 91-118 | Win | 100 | 21 h 23 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The New York Knicks have won six of their last eight, but they took a 112-99 loss at Orlando on Wednesday. It was a really tough spot though with star forward Kristaps Porzingis sitting out with a sore ankle and elbow and the team playing the second game of a back to back. Porzingis, who did not make himself available to reporters after practice Friday, said on WFAN radio his "swelling" was down in his elbow "so I’ll be ready to go." The Knicks are a solid 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and I expect a big performance from them here at the Garden Saturday night. The Sacramento Kings are in a prime spot for a let-down game following back-to-back upset home victories against OKC (covering by 18.5 points) and Philly (covering by 6.5 points). They Kings are however still just 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. My selection is a 10* play on NY Knicks. |
11-11-17 | Oklahoma State -6 v. Iowa State | Top | 49-42 | Win | 100 | 26 h 39 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CFB GAME OF THE WEEK The Oklahoma State Cowboys suffered a 62-52 loss to Oklahoma last week, but I think they'll bounce back with a win here at Iowa State. The Cyclones fell 20-16 at West Virginia last week and were outgained 524-350 in total yards. Here they'll face an offense that ranks second in the FBS in scoring average at 45.3 points, and Cowboys QB Mason Rudolph threw for 448 yards and five TDs while RB Justice Hill ran for 228 yards against Oklahoma. Prior to last week, Oklahoma State had outgained every opponent this season. The Cyclones meanwhile have failed to reach 20 points in either of their last two contests and I think the Cowboys offensive advantage will be too big for Iowa State to make up for. Oklahoma State is 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in its last five games following a loss. My CFB Game of the Week is a 10* play on Oklahoma State Cowboys. |
11-11-17 | NC State v. Boston College +3 | 17-14 | Push | 0 | 12 h 8 m | Show
CFB AFTERNOON ATS ANNIHILATOR The NC State Wolfpack are coming off two consecutive losses against ranked opponents, losing both to the Clemson Tigers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Boston College meanwhile is fresh off their its week. Huge rest advantage for the Eagles, and I think it will show. Boston College held FSU to just three points and 213 yards of total offense on Friday, Oct. 27 their last time out, and they've won three in a row also defeating Louisville and Virginia. My selection is an 8* play on Boston College Eagles. |
11-10-17 | Hornets v. Celtics -3.5 | 87-90 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 20 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The Boston Celtics are without a doubt the the hottest team in the NBA entering Friday aiming for their 11th consecutive victory. They'll host a Charlotte Hornets team coming off three straight losses (SU and ATS), and this is not the time to bank on them to end the slide. Hornets are 1-5 SU and ATS on the road this season, 1-8 ATS in their last nine road games dating back to last season while the Celtics are 8-0 ATS in their last eight home games vs. a team with a losing road record. They put a 107-96 beating on the Lakers on Wednesday and have a solid 8-1 ATS record in their last nine games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. As icing on the cake; Boston swept the four-game season series in 2016-17, covering the spread in each game. My selection is an 8* play on Boston Celtics. |
11-10-17 | Hawks v. Pistons -8.5 | Top | 104-111 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 3 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Detroit Pistons are playing great basketball here at the start of the campaign. They aim for their fourth straight win as they host the Atlanta Hawks Friday night, and I think this will be an easy win for the home team. Note that Detroit is 8-3 SU and 8-2-1 ATS on the season. Atlanta has won just two games all season, although it has played better in its two most recent games, first beating Cleveland then losing by just three points at Boston. This is a tough spot though with a matchup against the Wizards at Washington on deck tomorrow. Pistons are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and they won two of the three head-to-head meetings with Atlanta last season, including the lone matchup in Detroit 118-95. My selection is a 10* play on Detroit Pistons. |
11-10-17 | Elon +19.5 v. Duke | 68-97 | Loss | -109 | 6 h 6 m | Show
OPENING NIGHT CBB ATS ANNIHILATOR The Elon Phoenix will visit the #1 ranked Duke Blue Devils Friday night, and I think the visitors are spotted way too many points to pass up on here. Note that Elon is returning four players that averaged double-digits in points last season, and it lost by just a 72-61 score to Duke as a 26-point dog last season. Duke has lost its top two scorers from last season with Luke Kennard and Jayson Tatum moving on to the NBA. The Blue Devils are still the more talented side, but covering this many points in the first game of the season is far from easy. My selection is an 8* play on Elon Phoenix. |
11-09-17 | Thunder v. Nuggets +2 | Top | 94-102 | Win | 100 | 19 h 10 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA GAME OF THE WEEK - OKC @ DEN The Oklahoma City Thunder are losers of three straight, both SU and ATS. They took a 94-86 loss as a 10.5-point favorite at Sacramento on Tuesday, and I think they better prepare for another setback when they visit the Denver Nuggets Thursday night. This is normally a good spot to back a team to bounce back from an upset loss, but I wouldn't trust the Thunder to do so in their current state. This is the finale of a three-game road trip and I wonder if they're not looking ahead to tomorrow's matchup with the Clippers home in Oklahoma City. The Nuggets have opened a six-game homestand by winning three of the first four contests, with the lone loss coming against Golden State. They cruised to a 112-104 win against Brooklyn their last time out and the Nuggets are never easy to beat home at Pepsi Center. My NBA Game of the Week is a 10* play on Denver Nuggets. |
11-09-17 | Lakers v. Wizards -10.5 | 95-111 | Win | 100 | 13 h 50 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The LA Lakers ran out of gas down the stretch of last night's 107-96 loss at Boston, and I don't see them being able to hang around with the Wizards at Washington here on no rest. The Wizards will be looking to redeem themselves after taking a 113-99 loss to Dallas as a 10-point favorite here at Capital One Arena on Tuesday. They're 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a double-digit loss at home. My selection is an 8* play on Washington Wizards. |
11-08-17 | Lightning v. Sharks -118 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -118 | 17 h 60 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL GAME OF THE WEEK The Tampa Bay Lightning are tied for the 2nd best record in the NHL this season, but they're far away from home when they visit San Jose Sharks Wednesday night and I think they'll take a loss here against the red hot Sharks. The Lightning have hardly impressed through their last two games, splitting a pair of post-regulation decisions with Columbus and the Rangers. The Sharks meanwhile have won four in a row to improve to 7-2 since an 1-3 start to the season. They've won each of the last three home in the Shark Tank, and conceded a total of just six goals during their current four-game winning streak. The Sharks won each of the last three meetings, including a 2-1 triumph in San Jose last season, and six of the past eight overall. They're 10-3 in the last 13 meetings at SAP Center. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on San Jose Sharks. |
11-08-17 | Wolves v. Warriors OVER 229 | Top | 101-125 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 53 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA LATE SHOW - WOLVES @ WARRIORS The Golden State Warriors host the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday night, and I think we'll see a high-scoring affair. The Warriors have averaged a healthy 119.25 ppg through their last four contests, and that despite putting up just 97 on 36.8 percent shooting against Miami their last time out. I really expect the Warriors to shoot much better tonight, and we can note that the Timberwolves enter the game on a four-game winning streak during which they've averaged 114.4 ppg. Over is 10-2 in Warriors last 12 vs. Western Conference and 11-3 in their last 14 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Over is 5-1 in Timberwolves last six road games vs. a team with a winning home record. My selection is a 10* play on Over. |
11-08-17 | Knicks v. Magic -5 | 99-112 | Win | 100 | 12 h 58 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The New York Knicks gave us a 10* winner last night when they outscored the Hornets by 16 points in the 4th quarter to claim a 118-113 victory. That must have cost a lot of energy though, and I think they'll struggle here at Orlando the very next night. The Knicks might have won three straight games, but all of those were at home and they're 1-2 SU and ATS on the road this season. The Magic are in dire need of a win in front of the home town crowd after dropping back-to-back games to Chicago and Boston, and this is their last home game before embarking on a four-game road trip. My selection is an 8* play on Orlando Magic. |
11-07-17 | Kings -105 v. Ducks | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 38 m | Show
LATE NIGHT POWER PLAY The LA Kings have dropped two of their last three games after opening the season a blistering 9-1-1. The Anaheim Ducks are in an even worse position though having lost three straight games while scoring just a total of five goals in the process, and I think they're in for another defeat tonight. Anaheim has struggled to score goals all season, and here it'll face the best defensive team in the NHL with the Kings allowing just 2.2 goals per game. My selection is an 8* play on LA Kings. |
11-07-17 | Nets v. Nuggets -11.5 | 104-112 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 38 m | Show
3-PACK We cashed a big ticket backing the Brooklyn Nets at Phoenix on Monday, but I'm going against them here at Denver the very next night. Playing without rest at the Pepsi Center is an extremely tough ask, particularly with the Nuggets looking to bounce back from a 127-108 loss to Golden State. The Nuggets are 18-7 ATS in their last 25 games following a straight up loss. The Nuggets defeated the Nets 124-111 on Oct. 29 and the favorite is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Denver Nuggets. |
11-07-17 | Hornets v. Knicks | Top | 113-118 | Win | 100 | 22 h 47 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA MONEYLINE MASSACRE The New York Knicks are on a roll, having won two straight and five of their last six, covering the spread in each win. This looks like a good spot for the Knicks to keep their winning streak going as they host Charlotte Hornets Tuesday night. Charlotte has opened a four-game road trip with back-to-back losses at San Antonio and Minnesota. The Hornets are 1-4 ATS on the road this season and 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games dating back to last season. The Knicks have been putting up impressive offensive numbers lately, scoring 107+ points in five of their last six games while Charlotte has allowed an average of 110.3 points over a six-game span. We can also note that the Knicks took two of three meetings last season and they're 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. My selection is a 10* play on New York Knicks. |
11-06-17 | Nets +1.5 v. Suns | Top | 98-92 | Win | 100 | 15 h 13 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER This is an absolutely terrible spot for the Phoenix Suns. They're just returning home from a five-game trip, having been on the road since October 28, and took a 112-95 beating at San Antonio last night. The Suns are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 home games following a road trip of seven or more days and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. The visiting Brooklyn Nets (3-6) fit the bill, and they must be desperate for a win after losing four straight (0-4 ATS). We also have a revenge angle in favor of the Nets as Phoenix won 122-114 at Brooklyn last week. My selection is a 10* play on Brooklyn Nets. |
11-06-17 | Jets +126 v. Stars | 4-1 | Win | 126 | 11 h 34 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Winnipeg Jets defeated the Dallas Stars 5-2 last week and they've now won each of the last five head-to-head meetings. I think they'll make it six in a row Monday night. The Jets saw a three-game winning streak come to an end with a 5-4 OT loss against Montreal on Saturday, a very disappointing defeat as they held a 4-2 lead with 10 minutes left in the third. Expect more focused Jets tonight. The Stars are coming off a 5-1 win against Buffalo but we can note that they're just 2-9 in their last 11 after scoring five goals or more in their previous game. The price is right to back the visiting Jets. My selection is an 8* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
11-06-17 | Lions -2 v. Packers | Top | 30-17 | Win | 100 | 14 h 5 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL DET @ GB The Detroit Lions have lost three straight games (0-3 ATS) following last week's 20-15 setback against Pittsburgh. They did not score a single TD despite five trips to the red zone and QB Matthew Stafford completing 27-of-45 passes for a total of 423 yards, but I think they'll do much better here against a Packers D that is allowing 348.9 total yards per game. Green Bay has even bigger offensive woes with QB Aaron Rodgers out for the season, and Rodgers' replacement, Brett Hundley, has four interceptions in his two games. Here he'll face a Detroit team that is third-best in the league with 10 interceptions and 16 overall takeaways, so this should be another tough matchup for the 24 year old. Hundley might not get much help from the Packers ground game either as Detroit's defense ranks fifth in rushing yards allowed per carry and seventh in rushing yards allowed per game. My selection is a 10* play on Detroit Lions. |
11-05-17 | Devils +166 v. Flames | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 17 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The New Jersey Devils have started the season strong, going 9-3-0 through their first 12 games. They had won three straight prior to a 6-3 loss at Edmonton Friday, but I like the price we get on the Devils to bounce back and win here at Calgary two days later. Note that the Devils are 5-1 in their last six games following a loss of three or more goals. The Flames are coming off a pair of 2-1 triumphs against Washington and Pittsburgh, but they're struggling to score goals scoring two goals or fewer in regulation in each of their last seven games. They can't lean on netminder Mike Smith every game and the Flames have a losing record home in the Saddledome on the season. My selection is an 8* play on New Jersey Devils. |
11-05-17 | Hornets +5.5 v. Wolves | 94-112 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 46 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The Minnesota Timberwolves have won four on the bounce following Saturday's 112-99 victory against Dallas. I think they're in a tough spot here though in the 2nd contest of a back-to-back set Sunday night. The visiting Charlotte Hornets had won three straight prior to a 108-101 setback at San Antonio Friday night. They usually match up well against the Wolves, having won eight of the last 10 meetings overall straight up and going 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take the points on the dog in this contest. My selection is an 8* play on Charlotte Hornets. |
11-05-17 | Jazz v. Rockets -6.5 | Top | 110-137 | Win | 100 | 21 h 59 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Houston Rockets are coming off a couple of comfortable double-digit wins at New York and Atlanta, and I think they'll keep the momentum going when they host the Utah Jazz Sunday night. Utah had won three straight before taking a 109-100 beating by Toronto at home its last time out. This will be an extremely tough game at Toyota Center, and we can note that although the Jazz are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games overall, they're just 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games vs. a team with a losing home record. Houston fits the bill here as it has won just one of its three home games on the season, and I think the Rockets are loading up for a blowout win in front of the home town crowd tonight. My selection is a 10* play on Houston Rockets. |
11-05-17 | Chiefs +2.5 v. Cowboys | 17-28 | Loss | -105 | 43 h 21 m | Show
CHIEFS/COWBOYS CA$H COW The Dallas Cowboys have won back-to-back games, but this is a big step up in competition from defeating Washington and San Francisco. Here they'll face the 6-2 Kansas City Chiefs who own the league’s No. 3 offense led by quarterback Alex Smith and rookie running back Kareem Hunt leads the NFL in rushing yards with 763. The Cowboys will have their own star RB available with Ezekiel Elliott's suspension further delayed, but I don't think it'll be enough to beat the Chiefs. Chiefs are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games, Cowboys are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games vs. a team with a winning road record giving us a 14-1 ANGLE supporting KC. My selection is an 8* play on Kansas City Chiefs. |
11-05-17 | Ravens v. Titans -3.5 | Top | 20-23 | Loss | -108 | 50 h 28 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NFL) - MIKE'S TOP RATED 10* BAL@TEN BEST BET The Baltimore Ravens had lost two straight and four of their last five before a 40-0 rout of Miami their last time out. They generated just 296 yards of total offense but capitalized on a pair of pick-sixes. I predict a much tougher matchup when they visit the Titans at Tennessee Sunday afternoon. The Titans have won two straight to climb into a tie with the Jaguars for the top spot in the AFC South. They expect to have dynamic wide receiver Corey Davis back from a hamstring injury after missing the last five games while the Ravens' QB Joe Flacco is banged up after suffering a concussion last week. Bad news for a Ravens offense that ranks 27th in total offense and their passing game is dead last at only 1,223 yards. The Titans are coming off their bye week which should have given Marcus Mariota time to heal a minor hamstring injury. Ravens are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win of more than 14 points. Titans are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games. My NFL Game of the Week is a 10* play on Tennessee Titans. |
11-05-17 | Broncos +8 v. Eagles | 23-51 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 4 m | Show
NFL AFTERNOON APOCALYPSE The Denver Broncos are 0-3 SU and ATS through their last three games, but I think they're getting way too many points to pass up on here. The Philadelphia Eagles own the best record in the NFL at 7-1 and they're coming off a six-game winning streak, covering the spread in each of the last five. They're however just 1-5 ATS in their last five when hosting a team with a losing road record, and the Eagles might be distracted with a bye week coming up. Broncos are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Denver Broncos. |
11-05-17 | Manchester United v. Chelsea | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 43 m | Show
PREMIER LEAGUE PUNISHER MAN U @ CHELSEA Manchester United will visit Chelsea on Sunday, and I think there's good value on the visitors at +0 (PK, draw no bet) in this matchup. It's extremely hard to score on Man U as they've conceded just four goals in 10 Premier League games on the season. Manager Jose Mourinho will surely come here with a defensive game plan hoping to hit Chelsea on the counter. As a former manager of Chelsea he knows this team inside and out, and I'm sure he'll find a way to exploit their few weaknesses Note that the Blues have lost two league games home at Stanford Bridge already this season and they took a 3-0 beating at Rome in the Champions League earlier this week. Man U meanwhile must feel very confident, having lost just one game in all competitions this season. My selection is an 8* play on Manchester United. |
11-04-17 | Penguins v. Canucks +124 | 2-4 | Win | 124 | 10 h 53 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY This is a tough spot for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the finale of a five-game road trip (also their third game in four nights). They're 1-2-1 through the first four games of the trip and here they'll face a Vancouver Canucks side desperate for a home win after dropping back-to-back games to Dallas (2-1 OT) and New Jersey (0-2) despite out-shooting both opponents by a wide margin. I think the price is right to back the home team in this contest. My selection is an 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |

11-04-17 | Warriors -8.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 127-108 | Win | 100 | 19 h 3 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA WARRIORS@NUGGETS NO-BRAINER The Golden State Warriors dropped two of their first three games of the season, but they've won five of their last six including a 112-92 rout of the Spurs on Thursday. Here they'll face a Denver Nuggets side that just barely outlasted the Heat last night, and I don't see them keeping up with the high-tempo Warriors when playing on back-to-back nights. We can also note that Denver won the last meeting 132-110 back in February. Yes, it was a long time ago, but I doubt the Warriors have forgotten about it considering they don't lose many games, nevermind by 22 points! Great revenge angle here, and there's no need to overthink this one. I'm not afraid to lay the points on Golden State in this matchup. My selection is a 10* play on Golden State Warriors. |
11-04-17 | Virginia Tech -2.5 v. Miami-FL | 10-28 | Loss | -110 | 34 h 37 m | Show
CFB EVENING ENFORCER - VT@MIA The 7-1 Virginia Tech Hokies are coming off a pair of dominant wins. First they beat North Carolina 59-7 as a 20.5-point favorite before handling Duke 24-3 as a 17-point favorite. They're 5-1 ATS in their last six games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game and I think they look like solid value here at Miami Saturday night. The 7-0 Miami Hurricanes may own the FBS's longest current winning streak, but they've failed to cover the spread in each of their last three games. Here they'll run into the team that ranks second in the nation in scoring defense at 11.5 points per game, and I think the Hokies will run away with this game. As a bonus we can note that Virginia Tech won last season's meeting 37-16 at home and that the Hokies are 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings in Miami. My selection is an 8* play on Virginia Tech Hokies. |
11-04-17 | Oregon State +7.5 v. California | Top | 23-37 | Loss | -115 | 54 h 45 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (CFB) MIKE'S PAC-12 MAJOR WAGER The Oregon State Beavers look like an excellent dog at California Golden Bears on Saturday. They're coming off a pair of narrow losses, first a 36-33 setback to Colorado as a 9.5-point dog and most recently a 15-14 loss to Stanford, easily covering the 18-point spread. The Beavers are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS win and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 conference games. California has lost five of its last six games and took a 44-28 beating at Colorado last week. The Bears have struggled defensively during that stretch and gave up 553 yards of total offense and 44 first downs in the loss to Colorado. Note that the Golden Bears are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game and 1-5 ATS in their last six games in November. Oregon State meanwhile is 4-1 ATS in their last five games in November and seems rejuvenated and hungry to perform under interim coach Cory Hall. My CFB Game of the Week is a 10* play on Oregon State Beavers. |
11-04-17 | Penn State -9 v. Michigan State | 24-27 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 54 m | Show
BIG TEN AFTERNOON APOCALYPSE - PSU@MSU The 7-1 Penn State Nittany Lions will visit the 6-2 Michigan State Spartans Saturday afternoon. The Lions won last season's matchup 45-12, and I think we'll see another blowout win for Penn State this year. There's no doubt that the visitors will be fired up. They had won their first six games of the season prior to a 39-38 setback as a 7-point dog at Ohio state last Saturday. They looked like they had the game wrapped up before getting outscored 19-3 in the fourth quarter, ouch. The Lions are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 conference games and 9-1-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Spartans took a loss last week as well when they fell 39-31 in triple overtime at Northwestern. They have a terrific D, but they're struggling on the offensive side of the ball averaging just 23.8 ppg. The Nittany Lions had the top scoring defense in the nation before allowing OSU 529 yards last week, but MSU can not put up such numbers. My selection is an 8* play on Penn State Nittany Lions. |
11-04-17 | AFC Bournemouth v. Newcastle United -105 | Top | 1-0 | Loss | -105 | 46 h 60 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (SOCCER) - MIKE'S TOP RATED 10* EPL BEST BET Newcastle opened their return to the Premier League with a pair of losses, but they've been doing quite well since. They enter the weekend with the fifth best home record in the English top flight while visiting Bournemouth have just one win and four losses through their five games on the road. Bournemouth have an abysmal 6-14 goal differential through 10 games overall this season, and one single Newcastle goal could very well be enough to clinch this game. As a bonus we can note that Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has lost just once in 58 home top-flight games played on a Saturday (W47, D10) and he has won 66% of his home games in charge of Newcastle, with 25 victories from 38 games in all competitions. My Soccer Game of the Week is a 10* play on Newcastle United. |
11-03-17 | Predators v. Ducks -102 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -102 | 16 h 58 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* LATE NIGHT NHL POWER PLAY - NSH@ANA This is a huge matchup for the Anaheim Ducks. They'll seek revenge for getting knocked out by the Nashville Predators in six games in last season's Western Conference final, and they're catching Nashville at a good time with the Preds losing four of their last five games. The Predators are 2-8 in their last 10 road games and 2-4-1 on the road for the season. The Ducks are always hard to beat home in the "Duck Pond", and Wednesday's 3-1 home loss to Toronto should just add to the motivation. My selection is a 10* play on Anaheim Ducks. |
11-03-17 | Celtics +5.5 v. Thunder | Top | 101-94 | Win | 100 | 23 h 17 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The Boston Celtics own the NBA's longest winning streak with six straight wins, covering the spread each game during that stretch. Here they'll face another hot team in OKC Thunder who have won two on the bounce, but this is a spot for the home team. The Thunder are just coming back home from a three-game trip (Minnesota, Chicago, Milwaukee) and they'll head out on another three-game trip right after this contest. Celtics are 7-0 ATS in their last seven road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five Friday games. Thunder are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 0-5 ATS in their last five Friday games. The road team is 6-0-1 ATS in the last seven meetings and I think we're getting way too many points on the visiting Celtics here to pass up on. My selection is a 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
11-03-17 | Cavs v. Wizards -4 | 130-122 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 59 m | Show
NBA ATS ANNIHILATOR The Cleveland Cavaliers are not looking like much of a super team at the moment. They've dropped four straight games SU despite playing some rather mediocre opponents, and they've covered the spread just once all season. I don't think a date with another contender in the East is what they need to get back on track. Cleveland took two of the three meetings last season, including a pair of wins at Washington, but the Wizards must absolutely love this opportunity to inflict more damage to the wounded Cavaliers. We can also note that Washington will be looking to bounce back quick from a 122-116 loss to the rising Suns on Wednesday. My selection is an 8* play on Washington Wizards. |
11-02-17 | Bills -3 v. Jets | 21-34 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 2 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL The Buffalo Bills seek their fifth win in six games in a Thursday night matchup against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. The Jets meanwhile are reeling after losing three in a row. Yes, I know this is a division game, but I'm still opting to lay the point on the red hot road team. Buffalo may not have a strong passing game, but they're absolutely lethal on the ground and the Jets gave up 140 rushing yards in last week's 25-20 loss to Atlanta. Here they'll face LeSean McCoy who recorded season highs in carries (27) and rushing yards (151) during Sunday's 34-14 dismantling of Oakland The Bills are 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Buffalo Bills. |
11-02-17 | Stars v. Jets -107 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 13 h 10 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - MIKE'S THURSDAY MAJOR WAGER ALERT Both the Winnipeg Jes and the Dallas Stars are coming off back-to-back wins. The Jets have however won four straight head-to-head meetings and I really like the home team to be the team to keep the winning streak going Thursday night. This contest marks the finale of a five-game road trip for the Stars, and we can note that they're 0-3 in this particular situation over the last three seasons. Winnipeg has played excellent D lately allowing just one goal in regulation in each of their last four games. Netminder Connor Hellebuyck will start Thursday vs. the Stars, and he's 6-0-1 with a 1.91 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage on the season. The Jets are a solid 9-2 in their last 11 home games while the Stars are 5-21 in their last 26 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
11-02-17 | Ostersunds +1.5 v. Athletic Bilbao | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* EUROPA LEAGUE LEADOFF BANKROLL BUILDER Spanish Athletic Bilbao are massive favorites when they host Swedish Ostersund in the Europa League on Thursday, despite the visitors sitting top of the table with seven points in three games while Bilbao are third in the group with just two points. Ostersund are undefeated through their last seven games (5W, 2D) all competitions included, including a 2-2 draw at home against this Bilbao team two weeks ago. Bilbao meanwhile are winless through their last four games (2D, 2L). Do not underestimate Ostersund, I would not be surprised to see them travel back home with a point and I really don't see them losing by more than one goal. My selection is a 10* play on Ostersund +1.5 goals. |
11-01-17 | Raptors +1.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 111-129 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 39 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Toronto Raptors opened their season-high six-game road swing with a pair of losses, but they've won each of the last two and I think they look good here at Denver Wednesday night. The Raptors handed the Blazers a 99-85 beating at Portland on Monday to improve to 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall and they're 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. They're shooting just 29.9 percent from 3-point range on the season, but with talent backcourt like DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry that's due to improve. The Denver Nuggets took a 116-110 loss at New York as a 4.5-point favorite on Monday to fall to 1-4 ATS through their last five games. They've just returned home from a four-game East Coast swing, and I think that fact offsets Toronto's current road trip. Road team is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings and Toronto won both matchups SU last season, including a 113-111 OT win here at Pepsi Center. My selection is a 10* play on Toronto Raptors. |
11-01-17 | Astros v. Dodgers -151 | 5-1 | Loss | -151 | 8 h 38 m | Show
WORLD SERIES GAME 7 - WINNERS TAKES IT ALL The Houston Astros and the LA Dodgers will square up in a winner takes it all Game 7 of the World Series Wednesday night. I've liked the Astros in most matchups so far in the series, but I gotta go with the Dodgers tonight. Lance McCullers Jr. will take the ball for Houston, and he was knocked around for three runs on four hits and four walks in 5 1/3 innings by the Dodgers earlier in the series. His season numbers are far better home in Houston than on the road this season. The Dodgers turn to Yu Darvish who will try to rebound from a sub-par effort at Houston when he gave up four runs on six hits in just 1 2/3 innings. He had allowed just a pair of runs with 14 Ks in 11 1/3 innings earlier here in the postseason though, and he'll have a massive support from the home town crowd and Clayton Kershaw ready to step in from the bullpen. Note that 14 of the past 16 teams to force a Game 7 by winning Game 6 at home ended up winning the series. My selection is an 8* play on LA Dodgers. |
11-01-17 | Suns +12.5 v. Wizards | 122-116 | Win | 100 | 6 h 4 m | Show
NBA ATS ANNIHILATOR The Phoenix Suns are coming off a 122-114 win at Brooklyn last night, and I think they'll keep this a relatively close game despite playing on back-to-back nights. The Washington Wizards dominated the Kings 110-83 in the finale of a four-game East Coast road swing on Sunday, but they're in a look ahead spot here with a matchup with the Cavs on deck Friday night. The Suns have won three of four games under interim head coach Jay Triano. They're 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings with Washington. My selection is an 8* play on Phoenix Suns. |
11-01-17 | RB Leipzig v. FC Porto OVER 2.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 17 h 8 m | Show
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LEADOFF WINNER These two teams met in Germany two weeks ago, a contest RB Leipzig claimed in an entertaining game that finished 3-2. Porto have scored nine and conceded one in three domestic games since, and I think we'll see plenty of goals here. These are the two sides battling for second place in Group G behind Besiktas, and a draw would no neither team any good. Leipzig are coming off a 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich, but I don't see them getting shut out in back-to-back games and this is a team with plenty of offensive talent. My selection is an 8* play on Over. |
10-31-17 | Pistons v. Lakers +4 | 93-113 | Win | 100 | 11 h 24 m | Show
LATE NIGHT PISTONS/LAKERS ATS ANNIHILATOR The Detroit Pistons will be looking to close out a three-game California road trip with a perfect record when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday night. They're coming off a pair of massive 8-point victories against LA Clippers and Golden State as huge underdogs, 8.5 and 14 points respectively, and I think they might feel a little bit too good about themselves to put full focus on this game. The LA Lakers have lost back-to-back games against Toronto and Utah, failing to cover the spread both times. They're however 6-2 ATS in their last eight games playing on two days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss. As a bonus we can note the Lakers are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings with the Pistons home at Staples Center. I fully expect the Lakers to battle hard here and this is a prime spot to fade the Pistons. My selection is an 8* play on LA Lakers. |
10-31-17 | Astros +105 v. Dodgers | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 57 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* WORLD SERIES GAME 6 BOOKIE BREAKER The LA Dodgers will have home advantage through the last couple of games in the World Series, but it's the Houston Astros who hold a 3-2 lead and I think they'll claim the title tonight with Justin Verlander on the mound. Verlander (4-0, 2.05 ERA) has been lights out since coming over from Detroit (9-0 with a 1.53 ERA in 10 total appearances), and the 34 year old must be desperate to finally win the World Series. He allowed three runs on just two hits and a pair of walks in six innings against the Dodgers in Game 2 of the series. The Dodgers will counter with left-hander Rich Hill (0-0, 2.77 ERA) who allowed only one run but three hits and three walks in four innings when pitching against Verlander in that game. Note that the Astros are 7-1 in their last eight interleague road games vs. a left-handed starter. Hill has struggled to log innings here in the postseason (4, 5, 4), and I think the Astros tremendous bats will be too much to handle. My selection is a 10* play on Houston Astros. |
10-31-17 | Thunder -120 v. Bucks | Top | 110-91 | Win | 100 | 12 h 11 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The Oklahoma City Thunder are just 3-3 SU and ATS on the season, but they're coming off a dominant 101-69 thrashing of the Bulls at Chicago and I think they'll keep the momentum going here at Milwaukee Tuesday night. They'll have plenty of rest before hosting Boston on Nov. 3, so there's no need to conserve any energy while the Milwaukee Bucks have a matchup with the Hornets at Charlotte tomorrow. Note that Milwaukee is on a 12-27 ATS run in the first contest of a back-to-back set. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been dominant for the Bucks, but the Thunder have three go-to players in the reigning MVP Russell Westbrook plus forwards Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. As icing on the cake; Thunder are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings at BMO Harris Bradley Center. My selection is a 10* play on OKC Thunder. |
10-31-17 | Benfica v. Manchester United UNDER 2.5 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 105 | 7 h 60 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CHAMPIONS LEAGUE UNDERTAKER - TOTAL BOOKIE BURIAL Manchester United host Benfica in Champions League on Tuesday. They're coming off a 1-0 victory against Tottenham and have allowed just two goals through their last six games. They've kept clean sheets in 11 of their 15 games so far this season in all competitions. Man U won 1-0 at Benfica two weeks ago and are sitting top of Group A with a perfect nine points after three games. Their style of play may not be pretty, but it's effective. I think Man U manager Jose Mourinho would be happy with a draw here, and I wouldn’t completely rule out a 0-0 end result. My selection is a 10* play on Under. |
10-30-17 | Warriors v. Clippers UNDER 221.5 | 141-113 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 43 m | Show
LATE NIGHT WARRIORS/CLIPPERS TWISTED TOTAL Two teams that fell victim to the Pistons their last time out will clash at Staples Center Monday night. The Warriors took a 115-107 loss at home last night while the Clippers fell 95-87 against the Detroit team at home Saturday night. The Clippers are playing excellent D allowing just 92.4 ppg and they rank in the bottom 3rd of the NBA for pace with 99.4 possessions per game. The Warriors are 5th for pace with 103.9 possessions per game, but I like the under here with the Golden State on the second night of a back-to-back set and unlikely to push the tempo too high. Under is 10-3 in Warriors last 13 games following a straight up loss. Under is 4-0 in Clippers last four games following a straight up loss. My selection is an 8* play on Under. |
10-30-17 | Spurs v. Celtics -3.5 | Top | 94-108 | Win | 100 | 16 h 38 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA GAME OF THE WEEK The San Antonio Spurs are coming off back-to-back losses, the most recent a 97-94 setback at Indiana last night. This will be their third game in four night, a very tough spot for a veteran squad like the Spurs. Note that the Spurs are 1-5 ATS in their last six games playing on no rest and 0-5 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss. They'll face a red hot Boston Celtics team coming off four straight victories, covering the spread each time and allowing an average of just 90 ppg during that stretch. San Antonio has won 11 straight meetings, but Boston won't get this good of an opportunity to end that streak anytime soon. My NBA Game of the Week is a 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
10-30-17 | Newcastle United v. Burnley | 0-1 | Win | 115 | 4 h 12 m | Show
MONDAY PREMIER LEAGUE PARTY STARTER Burnley have won just one game home at Turf Moor this season while winning at both Chelsea and Everton while earning excellent draws away to Tottenham and Liverpool. I think they'll boost their home record with a win against Newcastle on Monday. The visitors have won four of their opening nine league games, but note that those victories were against West Ham, Swansea, Stoke, and Crystal Palace, clubs that occupied four of the bottom six places in the table going into this weekend's round of fixtures. We can also note that Newcastle have won only one of their past 15 Premier League away games (D3, L11). I really don't think Newcastle should be favored in this matchup and I think this is an excellent price on Burnley, considering we'll get the money back in case of a draw. My selection is an 8* play on Burnley. |
10-29-17 | Dodgers v. Astros UNDER 7 | Top | 12-13 | Loss | -120 | 16 h 52 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* WORLD SERIES GAME 5 BOOKIE BREAKER The Houston Astros and the LA Dodgers headed into Game 4 of the World Series tied at 1-1 before the visitors exploded with five runs at the top of the 9th last to earn a 6-2 victory. I think runs will be few and far between tonight when Clayton Kershaw (3-0, 2.96 ERA) pitches opposite Dallas Keuchel (2-2, 3.00 ERA). Kershaw allowed just three hits and one run (a homer by Bregman) while striking out 11 over seven innings in the Dodgers' 3-1 victory in Game 1. Keuchel took the loss in that contest after conceding three runs in 6 2/3 frames, but he should do better here at Minute Maid Park. Without a doubt two of the best pitchers in the game and under is 6-1-1 in Dodgers last eight playoff road games and 4-1-1 in Astros last six playoff home games. Under is 6-1-1 in the last eight head-to-head meetings. My selection is a 10* play on Under. |
10-29-17 | Nuggets v. Nets +4.5 | 124-111 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 58 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Brooklyn Nets are coming off a disappointing 107-86 loss against the Knicks, but I think they'll show up here when they host the Denver Nuggets Sunday night. Note that Brooklyn is 7-1 ATS last eight following an ATS loss and 11-3 ATS last 14 following a straight up loss. The Nuggets will be looking to book consecutive wins for the first time this season after picking up a 105-100 win at Atlanta on Friday. The way they've struggled with consistency does not bode well though, particularly when playing on the road. Brooklyn is a perfect 3-0 SU and ATS at home while Denver is 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS on the road. The Nets are 6-1 SU and ATS against Denver in their last seven meetings. We can also note that Brooklyn plays at the fastest pace in the league, and I think the home team will set the tempo here and make this a high-scoring affair. My selection is an 8* play on Brooklyn Nets. |
10-29-17 | Nuggets v. Nets OVER 221.5 | 124-111 | Win | 100 | 14 h 55 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Brooklyn Nets are coming off a disappointing 107-86 loss against the Knicks, but I think they'll show up here when they host the Denver Nuggets Sunday night. My selection is an 8* play on Over. |
10-29-17 | Wizards v. Kings +5 | 110-83 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 38 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Sacramento Kings have dropped three straight games and failed to cover the spread each time. I like them to come through with a big performance here on Sunday though as they host the Washington Wizards. This is a spot where the Wizards are generally overrated by both the books and the public going 3-14-1 ATS in their last 18 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. We can also note that this is their last game of a four-game road trip on the west coast and they spent a lot of energhy in Friday's narrow 120-117 loss at Golden State. Sacramento is expected to give point guard George Hill and power forward Zach Randolph a night off with rookie De'Aaron Fox into the starting lineup. Not all bad news as Fox leads the team in scoring (14.8 ppg) as well as assists (5 apg) while shooting 50 percent from downtown. My selection is an 8* play on Sacramento Kings. |
10-29-17 | Bears +9 v. Saints | Top | 12-20 | Win | 100 | 100 h 49 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NFL) MIKE'S MAJOR WAGER The Chicago Bears are coming off back-to-back victories and scored two defensive touchdowns in last week's 17-3 win against the Panthers. It goes without saying that it's hard to beat (nevermind covering the spread against) a team that allows just 301.3 yards per game, and I think the New Orleans Saints are asked to cover way too many points here. Sure, the red hot Saints have won four on the bounce and covered the spread in each game, but that's also the reason why we're seeing an inflated line for this contest. Note that the Bears are 7-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record while the Saints are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. My NFL Game of the Week is on the Chicago Bears. |
10-29-17 | Chargers +8.5 v. Patriots | 13-21 | Win | 100 | 48 h 47 m | Show
NFL PIGSKIN PUNISHER The New England Patriots are coming off three straight wins and took down the Falcons 23-7 in a Super Bowl rematch last week. Here they'll face another team that is perfect 3-0 L3 games though in the LA Chargers, winning each game as a small underdog, and I think they'll give the Pats a tough game here. They shut out Denver in a 21-0 victory last week and note that the Chargers are 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games vs. a team with a winning home record. New England almost shut out Atlanta, but the team is still dead last in the NFL in total defense at 426.7 yards per game and 23rd in scoring defense allowing 23.7 points per game. Now the Pats will have to do without standout middle linebacker Dont'a Hightower (pectoral) the rest of the season. My selection is an 8* play on Los Angeles Chargers. |
10-29-17 | Southampton v. Brighton and Hove Albion +230 | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 27 m | Show
PREMIER LEAGUE PUNISHER Brighton are coming off an impressive 3-0 victory at West Ham. They had won three straight games here at Amex Stadium before settling for a 1-1 draw against Everton due to a late Wayne Rooney goal their last time out in front of the home fans. Southampton have been a big disappointment this season, and I don't think they should be favorites here at Brighton. Great value on the home team. My selection is an 8* play on Brighton & Hove. |
10-28-17 | Suns +12 v. Blazers | 107-114 | Win | 100 | 10 h 53 m | Show
SUPER LATE NBA ATS ANNIHILATOR The Phoenix Suns have won three straight games under interim coach Jay Triano, and I think they'll keep this a reasonably close game. The Portland Trail Blazers fell to a LA Clippers buzzer-beater on Thursday. While I'm sure they would like to rebound with a win, there's really no reason to blow out the Suns, especially with a more challenging matchup with the Raptors on deck on Monday. Suns are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and they'll have plenty of motivation after taking a 124-76 beating by the Blazers home in Phoenix in the season opener. My selection is an 8* play on Phoenix Suns. |

10-28-17 | Dodgers v. Astros -125 | Top | 6-2 | Loss | -125 | 19 h 3 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* MLB BIG HITTER The Houston Astros booked a 5-3 victory in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the World Series. They're perfect home at Minute Maid Park here in the postseason, and I predict another Astros victory in front of the home town crowd Saturday night. Charlie Morton (14-7, 3.62 ERA) will take the ball for the Astros. He has made one appearance at home in the postseason when he tossed five scoreless innings of two-hit ball against the Yankees. Morton was 10-3 with a 3.34 ERA at home during the regular season and Astros are 5-1 in Morton's last six home starts vs. a team with a winning record. The Dodgers turn to Alex Wood (16-3, 2.72 ERA) who was charged with three runs (all homers) on four hits in 4 2/3 innings of a 3-2 loss against the Cubs in the NLCS on Oct. 18, his lone outing here in the postseason. I'm not sure if that much rest is a good thing and he'll face a very hostile environment at Minute Maid Park. The Dodgers are 6-18 in their last 24 games following a loss and I think they'll find it very difficult to turn this around at Houston. My selection is a 10* play on Houston Astros. |
