11-12-14 | Portland Trail Blazers v. Denver Nuggets -2.5 | 130-113 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 53 m | Show
Portland at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets over Trailblazers- The Denver Nuggets opening their season with a victory over Detroit and have lost five straight both straight-up and against the points. Last time out on Sunday the Trailblazers crushed the Nuggets 116-100 in Portland and this quick rematch has got to aid the Nuggets. Portland has won the last five meetings but Denver has won 23 of their last 27 meetings at home. The fact that Denver opened the favorite has to make one think. Take NUGGETS! |
11-12-14 | Los Angeles Lakers v. New Orleans Pelicans -10.5 | Top | 102-109 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 55 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers at New Orleans 8:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Lakers- Stop the presses...the Lakers (1-6) have 'covered' two straight including last night's Money Game win (+) over the Grizzlies. Wait, back up the truck. Legend Kobe Bryant is still a scoring machine but now holds the NBA record for most missed shots. New Orleans (3-3) now has the 'brightest' young star in the NBA with Anthony Davis who is averaging 24.8 points, 13 rebounds and 4.2 blocks per contest. Los Angeles has the worst record in the West and dropped two of three to the Pelicans last season. Plenty of wood to lay but New Orleans gets it done. Take PELICANS! |
11-12-14 | Detroit Pistons +6.5 v. Washington Wizards | 103-107 | Win | 100 | 7 h 59 m | Show
Detroit at Washington 7:00 ET Pistons (+) over Wizards- This is a very ugly side as Detroit at 2-5 straight-up is 0-7 ATS as they invade the Verizon Center in Washington where the Wizards are 8-1 ATS against a team with a losing record. But, the Pistons believe it or not are 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings in Washington and 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings and eight of the last 10 straight-up overall. It's just one of those spots (I hope). Take DETROIT! |
11-11-14 | Charlotte Hornets +8 v. Portland Trail Blazers | 100-102 | Win | 100 | 10 h 1 m | Show
Charlotte at Portland 10:00 ET Hornets (+) over Trailblazers- Is there 'trouble-in-paradise' already. Grumblings are coming out of the Hornets camp after the 15-point loss to the previously winless Lakers and the addition of Lance Stephenson has not been worth a cent yet as he is averaging eight points and is shooting 30.6 % from the field. Portland pounded Charlotte at the Rose Quarter last season and have won eight of the past 10 meetings. Still, even though the Hornets are 0-3 on the road the Lakers loss will help them focus here. Take CHARLOTTE! |
11-11-14 | Sacramento Kings v. Dallas Mavericks -6.5 | Top | 98-106 | Win | 100 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Sacramento at Dallas 8:30 ET Mavericks (-) over Kings- The 5-2 Sacramento Kings have had their way with the schedule to date but must now face some the NBA's more powerful clubs as things will getting tougher soon. The Kings lead the NBA in rebounds but have not won in Dallas in their last 20 tries. That's right 0-20! Tyson Chandler has to meet the challenge against the league top rebounder in DeMarcus Cousins. The Mavericks have had problems closing out games as they seem to miss a step for periods. Still, look for a big win out of the MAVERICKS! |
11-11-14 | Los Angeles Lakers +9.5 v. Memphis Grizzlies | 102-107 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Memphis 8:00 ET Lakers (+) over Grizzlies- Well, for all of you that thought the Lakers would go winless you're wrong! Los Angeles broke into the win column ending their worst start since moving to LA in 1960. Memphis (6-1) is tied for the best record in the NBA with Houston and Toronto after dropping a 93-92 loss to Milwaukee. The Grizzlies have won six of the past eight meetings and have won 16 straight home games. The Lakers moved up to being tied with Denver with the NBA's worst record (1-5) but now knows what it takes to win. Take the points...LOS ANGELES |
11-10-14 | San Antonio Spurs +3 v. Los Angeles Clippers | Top | 89-85 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
San Antonio at L.A. Clippers 10:00 ET Spurs (+) over Clippers- The World Champion San Antonio Spurs have started slowly (2-3) with coach Gregg Popovich already 'resting' his key players. The Spurs were not happy with the early NBA schedule but should be strong and ready for this show-down with Los Angeles. San Antonio is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 meetings in Los Angeles while the Clippers are 0-8 ATS in their last eight home games. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
11-10-14 | New Orleans Pelicans +6 v. Cleveland Cavaliers | 111-118 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 36 m | Show
New Orleans at Cleveland 7:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Cavaliers- It is sort of surprising that these two clubs meet with the Pelicans having a winning record while the Cavaliers are still under .500. The game does bring the youngest and brightest start to the fore-front and I am not referring to LeBron James but Anthony Davis who at 21-years old leads the NBA in rebounds (12.8) and blocked shots (4.4) per game. Cleveland has dropped the last three meetings with New Orleans and I expect this one to be close. Take the points with the PELICANS! |
11-09-14 | Golden State Warriors v. Phoenix Suns +1 | Top | 95-107 | Win | 100 | 11 h 38 m | Show |
Golden State at Phoenix 8:00 ET Suns (+) over Warriors- After last night's NBA 'Money Game' winner with Golden State at Houston the Warriors are now 5-0 on the season as Stephen Curry had six 3-pointers while collecting 34 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Phoenix meanwhile has dropped the first two of a five game home stand and are coming off a 114-112 overtime loss to Sacramento. Golden State might get caught here by a Suns team that played so well at home last season. Take the SUNS! |
11-08-14 | Golden State Warriors v. Houston Rockets -1.5 | Top | 98-87 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
Golden State at Houston 8:00 ET Warriors (+) over Rockets- So the 6-0 undefeated Houston Rockets get to host the undefeated 4-0 Golden State Warriors. The Rockets have been the most dominate team in the NBA since the season started two weeks ago while winning all six games by double digits, while the Warriors were winning their games by an average of 15.8 points. I'm surprised this 'number' is so low considering the Warriors will be without David Lee and Houston is playing at home. It looks like the visitor has a decent chance. Take GOLDEN STATE! |
11-06-14 | Dallas Mavericks +2.5 v. Portland Trail Blazers | 87-108 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 40 m | Show
Dallas at Portland 10:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Trailblazers- The Portland Trailblazers are off their 101-82 win over the Cavaliers and LeBron James and have evened their record at 2-2. Dallas has won three straight since their opening night 101-100 loss the World Champion Spurs. The Mavericks have had huge leads in every game that they have played and squandered leads as the game wears on. Dallas has taken four of the last five in this series including the last two in Portland and they are 6-1 ATS in the last seven overall and 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven in Portland. Take DALLAS! |
11-05-14 | Toronto Raptors v. Boston Celtics -1 | 110-107 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Toronto at Boston 7:30 ET Celtics (+) over Raptors- The Boston Celtics opened their season with a home win (Power Play winner) over the Nets then proceeded to lose two games on the road including a loss at Dallas where they trailed by 31 points. The defending Atlantic Division champions are now 3-1 after falling to the Heat on Sunday but recovered against undermanned Oklahoma City on Tuesday. The Celtics have to get off to a better start as they have surrendered and average of 38.5 first-quarter points the last two contests with turnovers not helping. The key factor here is that Toronto is 8-21-1 ATS in the last 30 meetings including 1-8-1 ATS in Boston. This time it's the CELTICS! |
11-05-14 | New York Knicks v. Detroit Pistons -4 | Top | 95-98 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
New York at Detroit 7:35 ET Pistons (-) over Knicks- The Detroit Pistons are winless (0-3) under 'new' head coach Stan Van Gundy as they score only 86.5 points per contest. Now, the question come to mind is why are they favored over a New York club that has also struggled offensively. The newly instilled 'triangle offense' has had little success as the Knicks are last in free throws made an attempted and they are off a beating from the Wizards last night. Even though the Pistons are 0-7 ATS in their last seven home games they are poised to win their first game of the season. Take DETROIT! |
11-04-14 | Cleveland Cavaliers v. Portland Trail Blazers +3 | 82-101 | Win | 100 | 11 h 16 m | Show
Cleveland at Portland 10:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Cavaliers- After opening the season with an embarrassing home loss to New York the Cavaliers and LeBron James responded with an overtime win against the Bulls in Chicago. James had his worst opening night with 5-15 shooting and eight turnovers then came back with 36 points and dominated play. Portland who last season set the NBA on fire with their torrid start are 1-2 after dropping a 95-90 decision against the Warriors. Look for the Trailblazers to give a concerted effort again LeBron and company tonight. Take PORTLAND! |
11-03-14 | New Orleans Pelicans v. Memphis Grizzlies -4 | 81-93 | Win | 100 | 10 h 55 m | Show
New Orleans at Memphis 7:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Grizzlies- The Memphis Grizzlies who have shown that they are an up and coming team to be reckoned with as they are 3-0 for the first time in franchise history and have won 15 straight regular season games at home. With those kind of numbers it's difficult to understand that the Pelicans who were only 12-29 on the road last season won twice in Memphis. New Orleans has a front line that can hang with the likes of Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph as Anthony Davis and Omer Asik are each averaging a double-double. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
11-01-14 | Dallas Mavericks v. New Orleans Pelicans +2 | Top | 109-104 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 33 m | Show |
Dallas at New Orleans 7:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Mavericks- After losing their opening game to San Antonio by one-point the Mavericks managed to even their record with a win over the Utah Jazz. This time around Dallas invades New Orleans and must contend with the NBA's newest superstar in Antony Davis who had 27 points 17 rebounds and nine blocked shots in the season opener. Although Dallas was 4-0 last year and have won seven straight in this series the Pelicans have some firepower that the lacked last year. With the return of Ryan Anderson and addition of Omer Asik New Orleans is a serious dark hourse to make the playoffs. Take PELICANS! |
10-31-14 | San Antonio Spurs v. Phoenix Suns +2 | 89-94 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show
San Antonio at Phoenix 10:00 ET Suns (+) over Spurs- The Phoenix Suns opened the season with a crushing win over the Lakers while the World Champion Spurs opened with a narrow win over the Dallas Mavericks. San Antonio has had the best of it against the Suns going 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings including 4-1 ATS in their last five in Phoenix. The Suns were the best team not to make the playoffs winning 48 games last season and they are hell benton getting there this season. Take PHOENIX! |
10-31-14 | Memphis Grizzlies -6 v. Indiana Pacers | Top | 97-89 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
Memphis at Indiana 7:05 ET Grizzlies (-) over Pacers- So, here the Indiana Pacers a team that went to the Eastern Conference Finals last year and opened their season with a 103-91 win over the 76ers entering this contest a huge home underdog. Roy Hibbert who went missing in the playoffs and averaged just nine points in his final 55 games came out strong scoring 22 points grabbed eight rebounds and had seven blocked shots. Tonight he will have a tougher task against the Grizzlies front line of Marc Gasol and Zack Randolph. Tonight along with Vegas I like MEMPHIS! |
10-29-14 | Golden State Warriors v. Sacramento Kings +5 | 95-77 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 57 m | Show
Golden State at Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Warriors- The Golden State Warriors who possibly have the best court in the NBA were 20games over .500 (51-31) in the tough Western Conference and yet the will be playing with a 'new' coach this season as Steve Kerr took over the reins. With Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry heading the backcourt the Warriors can run and play with anyone in the league. Even though Golden State swept the series 4-0 last season including a 102-69 near the seasons' end look for the much improved Kings to fight tooth and nail until the final buzzer. Take SACRAMENTO! |
10-29-14 | Houston Rockets v. Utah Jazz +3.5 | Top | 104-93 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 44 m | Show |
Houston at Utah 9:00 ET Jazz (+) over Rockets- The Houston Rockets opened their season with a virtual blowout win over the Lakers as emotions ran high between Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant who got into a shouting match during the contest. The Jazz aren't expected to compete for the NBA title this season but are looking to improve on their 25 wins last season, the least wins for the Utah in over 30 years. The Jazz had the worst record in the West last season an look to surprise the Rockets off their easy win in Los Angeles last night. Take UTAH! |
10-29-14 | Brooklyn Nets v. Boston Celtics +1.5 | 105-121 | Win | 100 | 7 h 5 m | Show
Brooklyn at Boston 7:30 ET Celtics (+) over Nets- There have been a number of personnel changes the last two seasons on both these clubs as Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were moved from Boston to Brooklyn and then Pierce moved on leaving Garnett in his 20th NBA season playing with the Nets this time. The Celtics under second year head coach Brad Stevens won only 24 games last year and look for big improvement with the addition of first rounder Marcus Smart to play alone with Rajon Rondo. In a mild surprise take BOSTON! |
10-28-14 | Orlando Magic v. New Orleans Pelicans -10.5 | 84-101 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show
Orlando at New Orleans 8:00 ET Pelicans (-) over Magic- Two of the NBA bottom feeders meeting in New Orleans where the emerging Pelicans host the Orlando Magic who won only 23 games last season. Led by a 20 year old Anthony Davis who averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds while leading the league in blocked shots the maturing Pelicans expect huge improvement with the return of forward Ryan Anderson and guards Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon. Not that it means all that much but the Pelicans won their final four game last season while the Magic lost their last three. Looking to get to the playoffs this season the Pelicans start the year off right. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
06-15-14 | Miami Heat +6 v. San Antonio Spurs | Top | 87-104 | Loss | -109 | 29 h 44 m | Show |
Miami at San Antonio 8:00 ET Heat (+) over Spurs- No team in NBA history has ever recovered from a 3-1 Finals deficit and from what we've seen out of the Heat it doesn’t appear that they have a chance to set this prescient. LeBron James is feeling the heat (no pun intended) but in reality it is not justified. Think about it, he scored 19 points in the third quarter of Game 4 and his teammates could manage to score only two. That's two, as in 2 points from Wade, Bosh and the rest of the undermanned Heat. The press in Miami has not be kind and even the South Beach unfaithful front runner fans booed a team that has made four straight finals appearances. That just shows how shallow this South Florida fan base is as they should be on their feet cheering in appreciation. And you know what, it has actually been more about the Spurs then anything else, they have been the best and most consistent team ALL season. I'm sure you will see a maximum effort out of Miami on Sunday. The season my end for them here but they will fight till the final buzzer. Take the points with MIAMI! |
06-12-14 | San Antonio Spurs +6 v. Miami Heat | 107-86 | Win | 100 | 13 h 3 m | Show
San Antonio at Miami 9:00 ET Spurs (+) over Heat- Even San Antonio head coach Greg Popovich doesn't expect to see the Spurs shoot 76% ever again but he will approach Game 4 of the Finals with the same intensity against to Heat in Miami tonight. The task of defeating the Heat once again tonight may seem more difficult as Miami has won 13 consecutive playoff games after a loss. But, in tonight's situation a win by Miami doesn't necessarily mean the with 'cover.' The odds makers have given Miami enough room to have this game fall in the 'gaff' where the win by less then the 'number.' I fully expect this to happen...Take SAN ANTONIO! |
06-10-14 | San Antonio Spurs +4.5 v. Miami Heat | 111-92 | Win | 100 | 11 h 8 m | Show
San Antonio at Miami 9:00 ET Spurs (+) over Heat- Well, what can I say...the Heat have the best player on the planet how seems able to impose his will on any and all opponents as long as he can stand on his own two feet. Miami made some line-up changes in their Game 2 win in San Antonio as Rashard Lewis had a positive impact on a club that primarily relies on their 'Big-3.' Either team could be up 2-0 as the Heat had James wilt of the fourth quarter of Game 1 and the Spurs blew Game 2 by uncharacteristicly missing free throws down the stretch. The Spurs are deeper and will rebound here. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
06-08-14 | Miami Heat v. San Antonio Spurs -4 | 98-96 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 43 m | Show
Miami at San Antonio 8:30 ET Spurs (-) over Heat- Not to make to much of a pun but Miami wilted in the 'heat' of the ATT&T Center on Thursday as they were outscored 16-3 with final 3:59 after LeBron James sat on the sidelines. James had 25 points in 33 minutes (most played by any player in the game at that point) and has been unjustly crucified by his distractors for cramping up. Still, the Spurs have been unbeatable at home when it counts most and understand without a win here the home court advantage falls back to the Heat. Many feel 'LeCramp' will come back strong and I wont be surprised if he does but he can't do it alone. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
06-05-14 | Miami Heat +4.5 v. San Antonio Spurs | 95-110 | Loss | -107 | 14 h 41 m | Show
Miami at San Antonio 9:00 ET Heat (+) over Spurs- Everybody in Miami is trying to make a 'big deal' over Tim Duncan's comment that after last year's disappointing finals loss to the Heat that 'We'll, get them this year.' Now, really is that calling the Heat out I don't think so. Is he NOT supposed to believe that they will win? Miami had an easier path to the Finals going 12-3 against the weaker Eastern Conference competition while the Spurs had to battle in the much tougher West. This is the first time San Antonio will appear in the Finals in back-to-back season while the Heat are making their fourth straight Finals appearance. The Spurs with the home floor have the advantage going 7-0 ATS in their last seven at home where the Heat are just 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in San Antonio, but Miami has LeBron James. Take MIAMI! |
05-31-14 | San Antonio Spurs +4 v. Oklahoma City Thunder | 112-107 | Win | 100 | 14 h 51 m | Show
San Antonio at Oklahoma City 8:30 ET Spurs (+) over Thunder- How about this series, I don't believe that I have ever seen a series where the home team has dominated in such fashion. Yeah, I remember home teams winning each game in a seven game set but never before like this where the average margin of victory is 26.7 points. So, why is the spread as low as it is at just a long range field goal. Not only have the Spurs lost 11 straight in Oklahoma City but they are just 1-10 ATS in those encounters. With San Antonio just one game away from returning to the NBA Finals and the Thunder one loss away from elimation the pressure is on Oklahoma City. Look for San Antonio to keep this one close if not pull off the outright victory. Take the SPURS! |
05-30-14 | Indiana Pacers +7.5 v. Miami Heat | 92-117 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 5 m | Show
Indiana at Miami 8:30 ET Pacers (+) over Heat- Ive been saying all along that this Lance Stephenson thinks he's the best player on the floor no matter who he is up against and after his Game 5 shutdown of LeBron James I beginning to wonder myself. Of course Paul George might give us other thoughts but the Pacers are still kicking down 3-2 in this best of 7. Each home team has had a major advantage at the foul line in all five games and I believe the officials will a little more even handed this time around. In a tough defensive battle...take INDIANA! |
05-29-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder +4.5 v. San Antonio Spurs | 89-117 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 49 m | Show
Oklahoma City at San Antonio 9:00 ET Thunder over Spurs- What we need to figure out here is wether home floor advantage is more important then momentum. The 'numbers' surrounding this contest are in conflict as the Thunder are 12-3-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings while San Antonio is 6-0 ATS in their last six games at home games. It just looks like Oklahoma City has the Spurs number and come away with another win. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
05-28-14 | Miami Heat v. Indiana Pacers +2.5 | Top | 90-93 | Win | 100 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
Miami at Indiana 8:30 ET Pacers (+) over Heat- After posting the Heat in both home games in Miami I'm ready to change course and play the Pacers. Indiana has more issues then I can possible address and I'm sure there will be major changes to this clubs rooster as they crumble down the stretch. If there is any professionalism on this clubs they should show up and win or at least 'cover' tonight's contest. The Pacers who have dropped the last three after an opening series win is 39-11 at home while the Heat are still just 26-21 on the road. Take INDIANA! |
05-27-14 | San Antonio Spurs +3 v. Oklahoma City Thunder | Top | 92-105 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 8 m | Show |
San Antonio at Oklahoma City Thunder (ML) over Spurs- Ya know, after posting a huge winner with the Thunder on Sunday I was sure that I would come right back with them on Tuesday. But, something happened on the way to the window. I can't help but think of the adjustment 'Pop' and his team of veterans will make and the fact that I don't believe that Serge Ibaka will have the same effect in his second game. Westbrook is great but has 'no conscience' whats so ever. Always looking to score and he's great but he makes too many mistakes and the Spurs will take advantage. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
05-26-14 | Indiana Pacers v. Miami Heat -6 | 90-102 | Win | 100 | 11 h 9 m | Show
Indiana at Miami 8:30 ET Heat (-) over Pacers- This is so tough because as you know from Saturday's analysis about Game 3 (Miami) just how much I think of Indiana. Now, many of my handicapping friends in Las Vegas want the Pacers in this game because of the NBA Playoff zig-zag theory where you switch sides after a loss, which means 'we' are supposed to take Indiana. I just don't believe the Pacers have what it take to win...by that I mean they don't have the 'heart' of a champion. I still see Miami as the winner. Take the HEAT! |
05-24-14 | Indiana Pacers v. Miami Heat -6.5 | 87-99 | Win | 100 | 12 h 41 m | Show
Indiana at Miami 5:30 Heat (-) over Pacers- I can't tell you how much I 'hate' this Indiana Pacers! I very rarely use that term but with this Indiana team I can't see straight when I watch them play. It all started to weeks ago on a Sunday night when the Wizards blew a 16-point second half lead and then the blow Game 2 in the East Fials to Miami by scoring just one field goal in the last six minutes at home. They SUCK! Lance Stephenson appears to be they only player that has the 'balls' to confront the big bad defending championship and he is totally 'hated' by his team mates. Aside from scoring on the court Lance has tried 'scoring' with some of his teammates girls and that has caused internal problems. Take MIAMI! |
05-21-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder +6 v. San Antonio Spurs | 77-112 | Loss | -104 | 10 h 58 m | Show
Oklahoma City at San Antonio 9:00 ET Thunder (+) over Spurs- The San Antonio Spurs lost all four regular season games against the Thunder this season and had lost 11 of 12 meetings straight-up until 'our' Game 1 West Finals blowout win. The Spurs shot 57.5% from the field and had a 66-32 edge in points in the paint. Perhaps with Serge Ibaka sidelined for the series the Thunder don't have the defensive and insider presence to combat San Antonio but I believe OKC will make some adjustments for this contest. It's the ole zig-zag which worked in the Heat/Pacers series. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
05-20-14 | Miami Heat v. Indiana Pacers +3 | 87-83 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 4 m | Show
Miami at Indiana 8:00 ET Pacers (+) over Heat- Will the real Indiana Pacers please stand-up! The Pacers won Game 1 of the Eastern Finals after losing Game 1 in the opening and quarter round series to Atlanta and Washington. As a matter of fact Sunday's win was the first Game 1 win over the Heat in four series tries. The Haet were 'never in it' on Sunday as Indiana raced out to a quick lead and the Heat weren't able to recover getting no closer then four points at any time. This rivalry has seen the home team the last nine meetings. Stay with the flow...take the PACERS! |
05-19-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder v. San Antonio Spurs -5.5 | 105-122 | Win | 100 | 11 h 15 m | Show
Oklahoma City at San Antonio 9:00 ET Spurs (-) over Thunder- I can't help but think of the Nets/Heat series when inspecting the season record between these two clubs. Oklahoma City swept (like the Nets over the Heat) the regular season series 4-0 but, it does not stop there. The Thunder has dominated this series going 10-1-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings with an 11-1 straight-up advantage including 3-1-1 ATS in San Antonio. Oklahoma City will be without power forward Serge Ibaka (calf) for the series. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
05-18-14 | Miami Heat v. Indiana Pacers +3 | 96-107 | Win | 100 | 29 h 39 m | Show
Miami at Indiana 3:30 ET Pacers (+) over Heat- The saga of Indiana Pacers continues as their roller coaster season continues in the East Finals as they host the World Champion Miami Heat in Game 1 of the conference finals. The Pacers may have had difficulties concentrating in other playoff match-ups but they should be fully focused for the Heat. Miami crushed Indiana in Game 7 at home in the conference Finals last season 99-76 and that is why the Pacers wanted to home floor so badly. Miami has yet to be challenged in the playoffs and will find the going tough here. Take INDIANA! |
05-15-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder v. Los Angeles Clippers -4.5 | 104-98 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 56 m | Show
Oklahoma City at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Clippers (-) over Thunder- This series has turned so many times it's hard to get a grasp on which team have the psychological advantage as both teams have blown large fourth quarter leads. But I believe that I have the winner here. The Clippers feel that they were 'robbed' by the officials as Doc Rivers would say and Chris Paul is coming off what can be considered his worst performance in his NBA career turning the ball over when it counted most, who admitted it was just bad basketball. This time they surprise everyone. Take L.A. CLIPPERS! |
05-15-14 | Indiana Pacers v. Washington Wizards -4.5 | 93-80 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 14 m | Show
Indiana at Washington 7:00 ET Wizards (-) over Pacers- 'We' were on the Wizards Sunday night in Game 5 and totally expected an easy Washington victory. As the game went they blew a 16 point second-half lead and it was a crushing blow to our bettors money belt and my personal frame of mind. It took me another day to recover and 'we' are ready to cash-in tonight. I look for the Wizards to just take command here and the imposter Pacers go down like the dogs they are. There are a couple of conflicting trends as teams that lose by 20 usually bounce-back with a big effort so that says take Indiana and the Pacers are 4-0 ATS in their in last four road games. Indiana had a franchise playoff low 23 rebounds. But, there are two sides to every story and the Wizards counter with the fact that they are on 4-0 ATS after a win by 10 points or more and they are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games after a straight-up win. Take WASHINGTON! |
05-14-14 | PORTLAND GM5 +8 v. SAN ANTONIO GM5 | 82-104 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 26 m | Show
Portland at San Antonio 9:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Spurs- If the trends play themselves out as expected the Blazers will be heading home and on to the gold courses at the end of this contest. Portland who managed to prevent elimination with a Game 4 win are just 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in San Antonio. The Blazers are trying to accomplish something that has never been done before and that is win an NBA Playoff series after trailing 3-0. This time PORTLAND! |
05-14-14 | BROOKLYN GM5 +7.5 v. MIAMI GM5 | 94-96 | Win | 100 | 8 h 37 m | Show
Brooklyn at Miami 7:00 ET Nets (+) over Heat- Well, 'King James' showed us all why many believe he is the 'best' player in the game as he dominated play scoring 49 points in Brooklyn on Monday. The tables have turned during the playoffs as Miami has picked it up covering five of the last six while the Nets are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in Miami overall. Brooklyn who won all four regular season meetings will find it difficult to manage three straight wins in the playoffs to save their season. Effort will be huge for the Nets maybe not good enough to win outright but enough to 'cover.' Take BROOKLYN! |
05-13-14 | LA CLIPPERS GM5 +5.5 v. OKLAHOMA CITY GM5 | 104-105 | Win | 100 | 12 h 46 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET Clippers (+) over Thunder- I watched it, I saw the whole thing and I still can't believe this series is tied at two games apiece. When looking at home court advantages it's a push as the Clippers are 26-19-1 ATS on the road and the Thunder are 29-19-2 ATS at home. Los Angeles has had enough time to put the Donald Sterling thing behind them for now. After trailing by 16 with nine minutes to go and coming out with the win has added new life to the Clippers who are 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings in Oklahoma City but they are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall. Okay, what does it all mean, really...to me it's LOS ANGELES! |
05-13-14 | WASHINGTON GM5 v. INDIANA GM5 -5 | 102-79 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 1 m | Show
Washington at Indiana 7:00 ET Pacers (-) over Wizards- I am not happy, 'we' posted Washington last time out and they blew a 19-point third quarter lead and now it looks like Indiana has found itself. That's two straight huge fourth quarter comebacks that have about the East's No.1 seed ready to close the deal. There are a few trends that don't look promising for Indiana as the Wizards are 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings in Indiana and the Pacers are 4-15 ATS in the last 19 games against teams with a winning straight-up record. Still or so its the PACERS! |
05-12-14 | MIAMI GM4 v. BROOKLYN GM4 +3 | 102-96 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 35 m | Show
Miami at Brooklyn 8:00 ET Nets over Heat- After six straight post season wins the Miami Heat were derailed in Brooklyn on Saturday as the Nets managed a win in the playoffs after four wins without a loss in the regular season against the Heat. Miami the two seed in the East allowed more than 100 points (104) for the first time in the post season as Brooklyn recorded a franchise high 15 3-point field goals. Look for Deron Williams to respond after shooting 3-for-20 the last two games. Take BROOKLYN! |
05-11-14 | INDIANA GM4 v. WASHINGTON GM4 -4.5 | 95-92 | Loss | -109 | 20 h 11 m | Show
Indiana at Washington 8:00 ET Wizards (-) over Pacers- I know, I saw it too, I mean 'we' posted Indiana and they have now bounced back with two 'big' performances. Roy Hibbert appears to have re-established his presence and the Number seed in the East is looking better. Washington was held to season lows of points scored twice against the Pacers with 68 and 73 then 65 a franchise playoff low last time out. But, key trends tell us the Pacers are 0-7 ATS after a win of 10 points or more and the Wizards are not only 9-1 ATS playing on one day's rest they are 10-2 ATS in their last12 games overall. Look for a huge bounce-back Take WASHINGTON! |
05-11-14 | OKLAHOMA CITY GM4 v. LA CLIPPERS GM4 -5 | 99-101 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 47 m | Show
Oklahoma City at L. A. Clippers 3:30 ET Clippers (-) over Thunder- The Clippers opened this series with a 17-point road win and now trail 2-1 as Oklahoma City has roared back with two impressive wins. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant has done their part but it's was Serge Ibaka's 20 points on9-of-10 shooting. The Thunder have gone 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings in Loa Angeles and the Clippers are 1-5 ATS as host against teams with a winning record of 60%. After two straight losses it's the Clippers turn to win big. Take LOS ANGELES! |
05-10-14 | SAN ANTONIO GM3 v. PORTLAND GM3 +1.5 | 118-103 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 25 m | Show
San Antonio at Portland 10:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Spurs- Now, this is cliché I can use here...The Portland Trail Blazers have their 'backs to the wall' and I say that because I believe that they can still win this best-of-seven game series. San Antonio has put the Trailblazers early in their two home games shooting a combined 59% in the first half. Portland we never able to recover and looking forward to playing Rose Quarter where they are 33-11 this season. LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard will it too much at home. Take PORTLAND! |
05-10-14 | MIAMI GM3 v. BROOKLYN GM3 +1.5 | 90-104 | Win | 100 | 24 h 56 m | Show
Miami at Brooklyn 8:00 ET Nets (+) over Heat- So the Nets beat the Heat in all four regular season meetings and now we see what thats worth come playoff time as Miami has posted two convincing wins at home. That makes a perfect 6-0 in the 2014 NBA Playoffs for the Heat and eight straight playoffs wins overall. The scary thing about the Miami wins from the Nets standpoint is that LeBron James has had an 'easy' 22 points in both games while the rest of the team cruised. With only 25 points between them in two games the Nets duo of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will respond at home. I wouldn't say the Nets have their backs to the wall because no one believes they have a chance to win this series anyway. Take BROOKLYN! |
05-09-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder v. Los Angeles Clippers -4 | 118-112 | Loss | -104 | 10 h 27 m | Show
Oklahoma City at L.A. Clippers 10:35 ET Clippers (-) over Thunder- One blowout followed by another have this series tied and if the zig-zag theory is in play then 'our' side is Los Angeles. There is one thing that does bother me about this one is that I felt the Clippers would be a stronger favorite returning home especially because they are 5-0 ATS in their last five after a 10 point loss. The Thunder have shown an ability to win on the road going 27-12 straight-up while the Clippers are 37-8 straight-up at home but just 23-22 ATS. Take the CLIPPERS |
05-09-14 | Indiana Pacers +4.5 v. Washington Wizards | 85-63 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show
Indiana at Washington 8:00 ET Pacers (+) over Wizards- You have got to be kidding, I mean really, really now, Roy Hibbert goes out and scores his season high 28 points in their 4-point win over Washington in Game 2 just a number of hours after the Pacers announce that Andrew Bynum was out for the remainder of the playoffs. This 'head case' who's confidence was destroyed the day Indiana acquired Bynum. I mean here is a guy that went scoreless in three of the last four games. Now, with the series tied at one win apiece which Roy Hibbert will we see? AH, that truly is the $64,000 question. The Pacers might be 'back'...Take INDIANA! |
05-08-14 | Portland Trailblazers +7 v. SAN ANTONIO GM2 | 97-114 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 52 m | Show
Portland at San Antonio 9:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Spurs- The San Antonio Spurs have come-up with huge back-to-back performances after having gone six straight games without a 'cover.' Although Portland is 36-10 at home they are only 22-24 ATS as hosts while Portland is 25-20 straight-up on the road and 27-18 ATS on the road. The Blazers average making 9.4 3-pointers per contest didn't connect until the final quarter in Game 1. This time they keep it close. Take PORTLAND! |
05-08-14 | Brooklyn Nets +8 v. Miami Heat | 82-94 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 19 m | Show
Brooklyn at Miami 7:00 ET Nets (+) over Heat- Well, after four straight regular season wins the Nets were overwhelmed by the heat in Game 1 of the conference semi-finals in Miami. The Heat are now 5-0 straight-up and 4-1 ATS in the playoffs. The Nets are 17-28 straight-up on the road for the season while Miami is 35-9 straight-up at home but only 20-23-1 ATS. In a bounce-back mode Brooklyn gets the 'cover.' Take the NETS! |
05-07-14 | LA CLIPPERS GM2 +5.5 v. OKLAHOMA CITY GM2 | 101-112 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 26 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET Clippers (+) over Thunder- Okay, so what are we to expect now, now that the beleaguered L.A. Clippers came out and just destroyed the Thunder in their own backyard. Normally, I would just jump on Oklahoma City but with Kevin Durant just announced as the league MVP more pressure have been applied. We all see that Russell Westbrook has 'no conscience' as he looks to just throw it up every chance he gets. L.A. Set a franchise record with 15 3-point field goals highlighted by Chris Pauls' 8-of-9 shooting. Take LOS ANGELES! |
05-07-14 | Washington Wizards v. Indiana Pacers -4 | 82-86 | Push | 0 | 10 h 7 m | Show
Washington at Indiana 7:00 ET Pacers (-) over Wizards- Wow, Do you believe what 'we' are seeing from Roy Hibbert? I mean really, no points, no rebounds...twice in seven playoff games. We have seen this happen in other sports, in baseball Steve Blass and Chuck Knobblock went through mental criss that shortened their careers but no rebounds for an all-star 7-footer. The Wizards came out smokin' hot is Game 1 as Trevor Ariza went 6-for-6 from 3-point range as Washington jumped on the Pacers from the opening tap. This time Indiana will have more focus and better defense. Take INDIANA! |
05-06-14 | Portland Trail Blazers v. San Antonio Spurs -6 | 92-116 | Win | 100 | 11 h 0 m | Show
Portland at San Antonio 9:30 ET Spurs (-) over Trailblazers- The Spurs finally shot the ball like the number one seed in the west as they pounded the Dallas Mavericks in Game 7 on their opening round. The Trailblazers are coming off an emotional buzzer beating win over the Rockets advancing in the playoff for the first time since 2002. The 'numbers' surrounding this contests are not impressive for either side as Portland is 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall and the Spurs are 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win. This time...take SAN ANTONIO! |
05-06-14 | Brooklyn Nets v. Miami Heat -7 | 86-107 | Win | 100 | 23 h 3 m | Show
Brooklyn at Miami 7:00 ET Heat (-) over Nets- Everyone is aware hat Brooklyn took all four meetings against the Heat this season with three one-point wins and a 104-95 double-overtime win. The Nets covered all four of those and have played well on the road going 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven road games against a home team with a winning record. The Heat were never at full strength in the regular season games this time around they are well rested and healthy. Take MIAMI! |
05-05-14 | Los Angeles Clippers v. Oklahoma City Thunder -5.5 | 122-105 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 24 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET Thunder (-) over Clippers- After all they have been through the past 10 days the L.A. Clippers managed to win a tough emotion 7-games series against the Golden State Warriors and much now face the No. 2 seed in Oklahoma City for Game 1 of the conference semifinals. Road games have been a problem for the Clippers as they are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games but have managed to go 13-5 ATS in their last 18 meetings in Oklahoma City. Still, it's the playoffs and the Thunder have an edge tonight. Take OKLAHOMA CITY |
05-05-14 | Washington Wizards v. Indiana Pacers -4 | 102-96 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 9 m | Show
Chip Chirimbes, the Las Vegas Basketball Handicapping Champion has been call a 'Post Season Wizard' and is off Sunday's Megabucks winner with the Spurs over the Mavs and has posted a Megabucks winner for Monday between the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers. |||||||
05-04-14 | Dallas Mavericks v. San Antonio Spurs -6 | 96-119 | Win | 100 | 14 h 13 m | Show
Dallas at San Antonio 3:30 ET Spurs (-) over Mavericks- Do the Mavericks have the Spurs 'number?' Well, to start with Dallas is 7-0 ATS in their last seven games six of which were against San Antonio. The Spurs remember well 2011 when as a No. 1 seed they were beaten by Memphis and I expect them to respond like the number 1 seed they are. San Antonio is 62-21 at home in the playoffs since the 2002-03 season. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
05-04-14 | Brooklyn Nets v. Toronto Raptors -3 | 104-103 | Loss | -103 | 12 h 53 m | Show
Brooklyn at Toronto 1:00 ET Raptors (-) over Nets- Well, Round 1, Game 7 and the Nets have 'guaranteed' a win here and after witnessing their last five quarters of play I will think that they are surely that confident. Although 'we' got beat with the Raptors the last time they were hosts in Game 5 when they squandered a 26-point lead and won by 2 and there are trends that play against them I still believe they will pull this one out. To start up Brooklyn is just 16-27 away from home while Toronto is 28-16 at home. The Nets are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five trips to Toronto and the raptors are 0-4-2 ATS in their last six home games. Still there is only one side for me...TORONTO. |
05-03-14 | GOLDEN STATE GM7 v. LA CLIPPERS GM7 -7 | 121-126 | Loss | -115 | 14 h 13 m | Show
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Clippers (-) over Warriors- There really doesn't seem to be much difference between these two clubs as they have played 10 games this season and split so far with each side winning five games. They are 5-5 ATS in those contests. It seems that the officials have been key factors for the home team as Griffin fouled out twice in Golden State as Thompson and Curry were in foul trouble in Los Angeles. Problem for the Warriors as they are just 1- ATS in their last six games in Los Angeles. Take CLIPPERS! |
05-03-14 | MEMPHIS GM7 v. OKLAHOMA CITY GM7 -9 | 109-120 | Win | 100 | 21 h 31 m | Show
Memphis at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Thunder (-) over Grizzlies- A few trend will be pointing 'us' toward Memphis as the Grizzlies are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss of more then 10 points and this certainly qualifies, The Thunder are 1-5 ATS when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game and Oklahoma City is 1-3-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Still, Vegas has put a high price on the game for a reason...lay it! Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
05-03-14 | Atlanta Hawks v. Indiana Pacers -6 | 80-92 | Win | 100 | 18 h 48 m | Show
Atlanta at Indiana 5:30 ET Pacers (-) over Hawks- Last time out we had the Pacers and they responded with a clutch Game 6 win to force a Game 7 on their home floor. The team with the best home record in the NBA in 1-2 in the playoffs as hosts as they were 35-6 straight-up during the regular season. The fact remains that the Hawks finished the regular season six games under .500 are are 16-28 straight-up on the road. Indiana has been so inconsistent that they have lost nine of 10 ATS after a straight-up win. The Hawks despite their miserable overall road record are 6-1 ATS in their last seven as travelers. Still, big game on the line the Pacers show up. Finally Atlanta is 0-8 lifetime in Game 7's. Take INDIANA! |
05-02-14 | Houston Rockets v. Portland Trail Blazers -3.5 | Top | 98-99 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 46 m | Show |
Houston at Portland 10:30 ET Rockets (+) over Trailblazers- Houston is 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games in Portland. This has been a 'visitors' series and the home team has failed to 'cover' the number yet. Having a 3-1 lead in this series put the Trailblazers in the drivers seat and now after a poor effort in Houston they can feel the pressure of having to win at home or return to Houston for Game 7. LaMarcus Aldridge went from the top of the mountain with 46 and 43 points to start the series to the bottom of the heap after his eight point performance last time out in Houston. Take PORTLAND! |
05-02-14 | San Antonio Spurs v. Dallas Mavericks +3 | 111-113 | Win | 100 | 7 h 17 m | Show
San Antonio at Dallas 8:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Spurs- The trends surrounding this contest are so strong it's difficult to consider any other option. First San Antonio is 0-7 ATS in their last seven contests and haven't 'covered' since April 11 against Phoenix, secondly, the Mavericks are 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall. Dallas is playing over their heads in this series and have a bucket full of confidence in their shooting. Take the MAVERICKS! |
05-02-14 | Toronto Raptors v. Brooklyn Nets -4.5 | 83-97 | Win | 100 | 6 h 18 m | Show
Toronto at Brooklyn 7:00 ET Nets (-) over Raptors- Believe it or not even with a 3-2 game lead in the series the Raptors are entering this contest feeling lucky and a little shook-up after the Nets incredible fourth quarter comeback that ended two points short. But, it was the Raptors who were in a panic as the Nets made their charge. The Trends here points toward Toronto as they are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games in Brooklyn and the Nets are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games, but, this is the playoffs and pressure changes things. Take BROOKLYN! |
05-01-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder v. Memphis Grizzlies +3 | 104-84 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 47 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Memphis 8:00 ET |
04-30-14 | Portland Trailblazers v. Houston Rockets -5 | 98-108 | Win | 100 | 12 h 33 m | Show
Portland at Houston 9:30 ET Rockets (-) over Trailblazers- The Portland Trailblazers have been ousted from the NBA playoff in the first round six consecutive times and have not advanced into round 2 since 2000. LaMarcus Aldridge has been a dominating force in the series to date averaging 35.3 points and 11.5 rebounds and last year's Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard has been deadly from the outside. Houston has not played well when the pressure is on as they have blown three fourth quarter leads, this time at home they complete the task. Take ROCKETS! |
04-30-14 | Brooklyn Nets v. Toronto Raptors -3 | 113-115 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 27 m | Show
Brooklyn at Toronto 7:30 ET Raptors (-) over Nets- I've heard it said that the Raptors 'stole-one' for the Nets in Brooklyn with their Game 4 win but the truth is they dominated play the entire game. Strangely enough neither team have a track record to brag about. The Nets are 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine games overall and the Raptors are 0-3-2 ATS in their last five home games. These two have played tough competitive basketball as seven of their eight games enter the fourth quarter with no more than a five-point differential. This time the home floor has influence. Take TORONTO! |
04-30-14 | Dallas Mavericks v. San Antonio Spurs -6.5 | 103-109 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Dallas at San Antonio 7:00 ET Spurs (-) over Mavericks- The Mavericks have stepped-up their play during the playoffs giving San Antonio all they can handle. Dallas is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and are 4-1 ATS in the last five games in San Antonio. The Spurs who dominated the regular season both straight-up and ATS have now gone six games without a 'cover.' They have managed to blow leads in every round 1 game and committed 20 more turnovers then the Mavericks. This time at home look for San Antonio to rise above Dallas and post an impressive wins. Take SPURS! |
04-29-14 | GOLDEN STATE GM5 v. LA CLIPPERS GM5 -5.5 | 103-113 | Win | 100 | 12 h 27 m | Show
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Clippers (-) over Warriors- The Los Angels Clippers certainly were distracted in their last outing against Golden State on Sunday as half the team had voted to boycott the last game and were blown out by the Warriors. If the Clippers are true 'professionals' they will bounce-back here with a huge effort. L.A. Is 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a straight-up loss of more than 10 points. Golden State who made 15 3-pointers in Game 4 are just 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings in Los Angeles. Take CLIPPERS! |
04-29-14 | Memphis Grizzlies v. Oklahoma City Thunder -6 | 100-99 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 43 m | Show
Memphis at Oklahoma City 9:00 ET Thunder (-) over Grizzlies- This is still a great match-up of contrasting styles as the high-flying Thunder host Memphis in this pivotal Game 5 as explosive offense is up against tough hard nosed defense. Trend wise there are some conflict as Memphis has struggles on the road going 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning record but, they are also 8-3-2 ATS in the last 13 meetings with the Thunder and they are 7-3-1 in their last 11 meetings in Oklahoma City. The last three meetings between these clubs have gone overtime, this time around the Thunder get it done in regulation. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
04-29-14 | Washington Wizards v. Chicago Bulls -4 | 75-69 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 43 m | Show
Washington at Chicago 8:00 ET Bulls (-) over Wizards- The Washington Wizards have surprised and impressed observers as they lead their round one best of seven series over the Chicago Bulls 3 games to 1. The Wizards who are now eight games over .500 for the season and they are 6-0 in their last six meetings in Chicago while the Bulls are 0-5 ATS in their last five games playing on one day's rest. Washington opened Game 4 with 14 straight points and Chicago was never able to recover. This time around defense will be the difference and the Bulls play it better. Take CHICAGO! |
04-28-14 | Atlanta Hawks v. Indiana Pacers -6.5 | 107-97 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 60 m | Show
Atlanta at Indiana 8:00 ET Pacers (-) over Hawks- The Indiana Pacers are looking for back-to-back wins for only the second time in a month as they host Atlanta in Game 5 with the series tied at 2-2. The Pacers finally showed the defense that lead the league in field-goal percentage with huge stops in the final quarter as Roy Hibbert recorded his first blocked shots in the series in Game 5. The team with the best home record got the push they need. Take INDIANA! |
04-28-14 | Miami Heat v. Charlotte Bobcats +7.5 | 109-98 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 5 m | Show
Miami at Charlotte 7:00 ET Bobcats (+) over Heat- Okay, we are all aware that Miami has won the last 19 in this series but that has nothing to do with the 'money.' (That's why were have point-spreads). Miami who has 'covered' their last five in Charlotte are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up win while the Bobcats are 5-0 ATS following a straight-up loss of 10 or more. The Heat have to be a little cocky entering this contest and that will be enough for the Bobcats to 'get the money,' Take CHARLOTTE! |
04-27-14 | HOUSTON GM4 +2.5 v. PORTLAND GM4 | Top | 120-123 | Loss | -107 | 12 h 27 m | Show |
Houston at Portland 9:30 ET Rockets (+) over Trailblazers- Well, LaMarcus Aldridge actually looked human Friday night as the Rockets were able to pull out a much need win to bring their series deficit to 1-2. Once again trends clash as Houston is 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win but with Friday's win brought their record to 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight meetings in Portland. Harden's back and so is Howard. Take HOUSTON! |
04-27-14 | Los Angeles Clippers -1.5 v. Golden State Warriors | 97-118 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 7 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Golden State 3:30 ET Clippers (-) over Warriors- This looks like a real tough sale for the Clippers. The fabulous shooting guard position the Warriors are in have the 'public' enamored along with the home crowd. Los Angeles plays into Golden State's fire as they are just 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings in the Bay area and here are a pair that's difficult to buck but the Warriors are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 game son two days rest and they are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 Conference Quarterfinals games. HA! So what...they get beat here...Take the CLIPPERS! |
04-27-14 | Chicago Bulls +1.5 v. Washington Wizards | 89-98 | Loss | -103 | 4 h 38 m | Show
Chicago at Washington 1:00 ET Bulls (+) over Wizards- You will be hearing a number of 'Playoff Theories' concerning 'teams behind in the series,' the 'zig-zag' and countless others but for the most part this give you information after the fact. And what we have here is a conflict in major trends as the Wizards are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings and they are 6-0 ATS in their last six playing on 1-days rest but Chicago is 7-2 ATS in their last nine meetings in Washington. (Go figure) After the shooting performance of Mike Dunleavy which I don't believe he can repeat I'm still on the BULLS! |
04-26-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder v. Memphis Grizzlies +3 | Top | 92-89 | Push | 0 | 20 h 33 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at Memphis 9:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Thunder- As I stated before, the NBA Playoffs often become a matter of styles and defense. Memphis is a blue collar lunch pail style while Oklahoma City has all the flash. The Thunder have lost 5-of-6 to the number and are just 3-8-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings including only 1-4 ATS in Memphis. Add that they are 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games against a team with a winning record. Take GRIZZLIES! |
04-26-14 | San Antonio Spurs v. Dallas Mavericks +3.5 | 108-109 | Win | 100 | 15 h 31 m | Show
San Antonio at Dallas 4:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Spurs- It looks like the same old story and it's hard for me to believe. Every year San Antonio established that they are the best 'team' in the NBA during the regular season and then the playoffs happen. Dallas has manged to 'cover' both games and are even at 1-1 in the series after having lost 10 straight to the Spurs. As it stands now San Antonio has a better road record then the Mavericks have at home and are 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings including 4-0 ATS in their last four in Dallas. Here's the kicker, the Mavs are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games...they difference here is that they were favorites and now they are getting points. Take DALLAS! |

04-26-14 | Indiana Pacers v. Atlanta Hawks +2.5 | 91-88 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 3 m | Show
Indiana at Atlanta 2:00 ET Hawks (+) over Pacers- Oh my...I like this so much I become afraid and have trouble believing what I see. In the Indiana Pacers I see a team that does not believe they are going to win, a team with not confidence or electric spark. No one expects the Hawks to preform well because here they are a sub .500 playoff team that is without their best player in AL Horford and 'they' smell blood. The Pacers are wounded emotionally and like a bad 'break-up' it stays with you for a while. Take ATLANTA! |
04-25-14 | Houston Rockets +3 v. Portland Trailblazers | Top | 121-116 | Win | 100 | 20 h 13 m | Show |
Houston at Portland 10:35 ET Rockets (+) over Trailblazers- Okay,we've all seen it with our own eyes, LaMarcus Aldridge has become the most overwhelming force in basketball...BELIEVE IT! The problem here is the desperation and unlikelihood of the Rockets recovering in this series, but they understand that with a win tonight there is NO chance. One bad tends offset by another as the Rockets are 0-5 in their last five against a team with a winning home record but they are also 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven meetings in Portland. Take HOUSTON! |
04-25-14 | Chicago Bulls +3 v. Washington Wizards | 100-97 | Win | 100 | 18 h 44 m | Show
Chicago at Washington 8:05 ET Bulls (+) over Wizards- I am 'shocked, shocked that their gambling going on...' The Bulls are down 2-0 and are still trying to find some offense. All year they were a defensive team and in the playoffs of all places where 'defense wins' they are on their heels. An oddity of sort with a couple of minor trends but Chicago is just 2-8 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall but 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Washington. Look for Noah and the Bulls to get back in the series. Take CHICAGO! |
04-25-14 | Toronto Raptors +5 v. Brooklyn Nets | 98-102 | Win | 100 | 17 h 44 m | Show
Toronto at Brooklyn 7:05 ET Raptors (+) over Nets- I sure am making use of the adage 'throw the stats out the window.' That's what I have to tell myself more times then not of late as these playoff match-ups create plenty of opportunities. To start with the Raptors are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win. How's this the Nets are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games against a team with a winning road record and finally Toronto is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games in Brooklyn. Nets get shocked here. Take the RAPTORS! |
04-24-14 | Los Angeles Clippers v. Golden State Warriors +2 | 98-96 | Push | 0 | 13 h 0 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Golden State 10:30 ET Warriors (+) over Clippers- The question here is can the Warriors recover psychologically after the 40-point beat-down hand to them by the Clippers in Game 2. Golden State has played well against the Clippers at home going 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings and they are 4-0 ATS after a ATS loss. Game 1 Clippers were in foul trouble, Game 2 the Warriors were in foul trouble and this time...it's GOLDEN STATE |
04-24-14 | Oklahoma City Thunder v. Memphis Grizzlies +2.5 | 95-98 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Memphis 8:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Thunder- Sometimes style can over-come talent and that appears to be the case when Oklahoma City and Memphis go at it. There is no question the Thunder have two of the 'most talented' player in the NBA with Devin Durant and Russell Westbrook while the Grizzlies have that 'blue collar' mentality and grit. Two negative trends hang over Oklahoma City first they are 1-6 ATS on the road against a team with a winning record and secondly they are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 meetings against the Grizzlies...Take MEMPHIS! |
04-24-14 | Indiana Pacers v. Atlanta Hawks +2.5 | 85-98 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show
Indiana at Atlanta 7:00 ET Hawks (+) over Pacers- 'Don't even think about it,' don't think for a Lance Stephenson New york minute that the Pacers are 'back.' The Indiana Pacers are far from the dominating team that were the first four months of the season but even through is all they weren't but 21-20 on the road. As a matter of fact Indiana has struggled in Atlanta more then most losing 12 of their last 16 meetings ATS. Coming off their Game 2 loss the Hawks are 5-0 ATS in their last five when their opponent score 100 points in the previous game. Too many issues with Pacers both on and off the court. Take ATLANTA! |
04-23-14 | Portland Trailblazers v. Houston Rockets -6 | 112-105 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 23 m | Show
Portland at Houston 9:30 ET
Blazers (-) over Rockets- Portland has been one of the biggest money makers on the road including our Power Play winner in Game 1 as they are 26-16 ATS away from home. Listen, the key to this game is not Dwight Howard's free throws, the key is to control that 'beast' the Trailblazers call LaMarcus Aldridge. The Rockets have now dropped their last two and will show what is needed to win here. Take HOUSTON!
04-23-14 | Dallas Mavericks v. San Antonio Spurs -8 | 113-92 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 3 m | Show
Dallas at San Antonio 7:00 ET
Spurs (-) over Mavericks- Dallas have manged to lose their last two contests and 'cover' as a road dog in both games and are now 28-14 ATS on the road. San Antonio meanwhile has gone three straight without a 'cover' their longest streak this season. Playing their thirst straight on the road isn't going to help but Mavericks are 1-5 ATS in their last six games on two days rest. Spurs are 5-1 ATS in last six against teams with winning record but the caper is that the Spurs are 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Take SAN ANTONIO!
04-22-14 | Washington Wizards v. Chicago Bulls -5 | 101-99 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 28 m | Show
Washington at Chicago 9:30 ET
Bulls (-) over Wizards- Washington came through for 'us' with his fifth straight win and cover in their Game 1 victory 102-93. Chicago meanwhile not only has dropped their last two but three of four and are 1-4 ATS in their last five contests. I know there are trends spitting in my face as the Wizards are 5-0 ATS in their last five trips to Chicago and are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings. Well, yeah but this is the playoffs. The Bulls even the series here. Take CHICAGO!
04-22-14 | Brooklyn Nets v. Toronto Raptors -4.5 | 95-100 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show
Brooklyn at Toronto 7:30 ET
Raptors (-) over Nets- Okay, 'we' are coming off our Megabucks win with the Nets in Game 1 when the line was just 2 ½. This time around the Vegas odds makers are thinking 'zig-zag' and have made the Raptors a more reasonable 4 ½ point favorite. The Brooklyn veterans and most former Celtics scored few but key points in their victory. Not so much this time...Take TORONTO!
04-22-14 | Atlanta Hawks +7.5 v. Indiana Pacers | 85-101 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 8 m | Show
Atlanta at Indiana 7:00 ET
Hawks (+) over Pacers- “There's something rotten in Denmark”...or is it Indiana. Listen 'we' had Atlanta in Game One and after watching a full 48 minutes I see nothing that tells me I should change course. I believe there are big problems with the Pacers and it is more then just basketball. This team since trading Granger is still min the tank. Take HAWKS!
04-21-14 | Golden State Warriors v. Los Angeles Clippers -7.5 | 98-138 | Win | 100 | 12 h 19 m | Show
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET
Clippers (-) over Warriors- After what we witnessed in Game One with the Warriors winning a tough contest where Chris Paul and Blake Griffin fouled out it seems that the 'line' is extremely high. Los Angeles has now lost five straight post-season games and need a huge effort here. These two have developed into intense rivals that play a physical game where this time the Clippers get the money. Take LOS ANGELES!
04-21-14 | Memphis Grizzlies +7.5 v. Oklahoma City Thunder | 111-105 | Win | 100 | 10 h 50 m | Show
Memphis at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET
Grizzlies (+) over Thunder- The Memphis Grizzlies got off to a slow start on Saturday in Game 1 one the playoffs as they shot 25% from the field in the first half and trail by 22. They were able to cut the margin to two-points in the second half before the Thunder re-grouped and won by 14. In Game 1 the two key players for the Grizzlies Zach Randoph and Marc Gasol were a combined 14-of-40 from the field. Expect those numbers to improve enough to keep this one close. Take MEMPHIS!
04-20-14 | PORTLAND GM1 +5.5 v. HOUSTON GM1 | 122-120 | Win | 100 | 12 h 59 m | Show
Portland at Houston 9:30 ET
Trailblazers (+) over Rockets- Portland is 3-8-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings but they are also 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. The Trailblazers closed the season with five straight wins and regained their stride after LaMarcus Aldridge returned from his back injury. Portland set a franchise record with 770 3-pointers and that's what's going to get the money. Take PORTLAND!
04-20-14 | Washington Wizards +5 v. Chicago Bulls | 102-93 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show
Washington at Chicago 7:00 ET
Wizards (+) over Bulls- There is one oddity that surrounds the Wizards and that is they have the same record (a winning record) at home and on the road going 22-19. For some reason Washington has been able to compete with the Bulls especially in Chicago. The Wiz is 4-0 ATS a last four meetings in Chicago and they are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall. This isn't an over powering play but it should play down to the final buzzer.. Take the points and the WIZARDS!
04-20-14 | Dallas Mavericks v. San Antonio Spurs -9.5 | 85-90 | Loss | -103 | 3 h 20 m | Show
Dallas at San Antonio 1:05 ET
Spurs (-) over Mavericks- For most of the season 'we' faded the San Antonio Spurs and I can't say that it was with much success. Now, the Number One seed in the NBA is a 9 ½ point favorite and that is the highest 'number' that they have been favored by against the Mavericks by three points. Dallas is 5-15-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings and they are 2-5 ATS in their last seven in San Antonio. The Spurs have won the last nine games in this series and have won 15 straight at home. Lay the points with the SPURS!
04-19-14 | Atlanta Hawks +7.5 v. Indiana Pacers | 101-93 | Win | 100 | 22 h 5 m | Show
Atlanta at Indiana 7:05 ET
Hawks (+) over Pacers- The last time these two played 'we' (Indiana) eked out a 107-88 win over these same Hawks. Atlanta enter this games with five straight ATS wins ans are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against teams with a winning record, but they are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last five meetings in Indiana. These two met in the first round last season with the Pacers winning 4-2 and while Atlanta is weaker (because of injuries) and Indiana stronger I this the line is low. Consider that Indiana is the No. 1 seed and the Hawks came into this game under .500. The line gives Atlanta a chance and so do I Take HAWKS!
04-19-14 | Golden State Warriors v. Los Angeles Clippers -7 | Top | 109-105 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 35 m | Show |
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 3:30 ET
Clippers (-) over Warriors- From what I can tell in Las Vegas this is the series most of the 'experts' are most interested' in. Why I'm not sure but these two had some great battles this season. Los Angeles enters this fray off a loss at Portland on Wednesday while Golden State pumped out two huge wins and four straight against the number. Last year the Warriors were a six seed and upset the Denver Nuggets this time the Clippers who lost to the Grizzlies in the post season opening round last year will have playoff confidence on the bench as Doc Rivers is now coaching. Take CLIPPERS!
