05-20-17 | Phillies v. Pirates -121 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 4 h 45 m | Show
Pirates -121 The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Philadelphia Phillies match up on Saturday afternoon and I think the Pirates have the advantage here, because of the advantage they have on the mound. The Pirates have had the Phillies number as of late. The Pirates have won five of the last seven games over the Phillies and have won the last three series between the two teams. On the mound for the Phillies is Vince Velasquez who has really struggled this season. He has a 2-3 record and an ERA of 5.63. He has given up three or more runs in five of his seven starts this year. I expect the Pirates offense who at times struggle, will be able to get the bats going early against him. On the mound for the Pirates is Iona Nova, who has been the Pirates best pitcher this year. He has a 3-3 record but a low ERA of 2.48. I think he will be able to silence the bats of the Phillies who rank in the bottom half of runs per game this year. Some trends to note. Pirates are 5-1 in their last 6 Saturday games. Phillies are 3-13 in Velasquezs last 16 starts. Phillies are 2-8 in the last 10 meetings in Pittsburgh. The Pirates will send the fans home happy. 05-19-17 | Indians v. Astros OVER 8.5 | 5-3 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 18 m | Show
Cleveland vs. Houston Over 8.5 The Indians and Astros battle on Friday and the Over here is a move we have to make. Trevor Bauer gets the ball for Cleveland and he's been a mess this season. The big inning has been his killer and going up against an offense like Houston is not going to help his problems out. Houston has averaged 5.15 runs per game and has one of the deepest lineups in baseball. As for the Tribe, their offense has started to show signs of life. They should be extremely better than they have been, but they're still trying to figure things out it seems. However, the lineup switches implemented by Terry Francona may be paying some dividends, as Jason Kipnis and even Edwin Encarnacion are starting to wake up. Some trends to note. Over is 5-0 in Mortons last 5 starts overall. Over is 10-4-1 in Bauers last 15 starts on grass. This is a nice spot to expect a lot of runs. Back the Over. 8* Cappers Club Power Play on Over 8.5 Good Luck, Cappers Club. |

05-19-17 | Brewers v. Cubs OVER 8 | 6-3 | Win | 105 | 2 h 39 m | Show
Cubs vs. Brewers Over 8
The Brewers will start Paolo Espino against the Cubs. This will be his first major league start and that is less then ideal for the Brewers. The Cubs have an explosive offense and they can come at you from all across the lineup. If he makes any mistakes the Cubs will jump all over it. The Brewers offense has been ridiculous this year. They come into this game averaging 5.26 ERA which is 3rd in baseball .They also lead the Major Leagues in home runs with 65. On the mound for the Cubs is Eddie Butler who did have a good first start for the Cubs this year, but historically he has struggled. Last year he went 2-5 with a 7.17 ERA, so I expect him back to more of those stats in this game. Some trends to note. Over is 8-1 in Brewers last 9 during game 1 of a series. Over is 13-3 in Cubs last 16 home games. Over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings. 9* Cappers Club Blue Chip Play on Over Good Luck, Cappers Club |
