Washington at Pittsburgh 6:35 ET Nationals over Pirates- A pair of bottom feeders go at it just playing out the string of games left on the schedule. Pittsburgh managed a 4-3 walk-off win yesterday as they moved to only 39 games under. 500. The Nationals who are just 25-games under .500 will start rookie Josiah Gray (0-2, 5.65 ERA) while the home club will start rookie Wil Crowe (3-7, 5.94) and both are facing their opponents for the first time. The Pirates are just 1-7 in their last eight starts against right-handed starters and the Nats are 5-1 in the last six meetings. Take WASHINGTON! |

09-10-21 | Padres +141 v. Dodgers | Top | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 31 m | Show |
San Diego at L.A. Dodgers 10:10 ET Padres over Dodgers- Things are changing fast in the NL West where the Giants have a 2.5-game lead over Los Angeles and the Padres a 2-game advantage over the Reds for the final Wild Card spot. The Dodgers will start the winningest pitcher in baseball as Julio Urias (16-3, 3.11 ERA) takes the hill and San Diego will counter with Joe Musgrove (10-8, 2.87) who is 0-3 with a 4.21 ERA lifetime against LA. Urias has been outstanding of late but the Dodgers bats have gone meek. Take SAN DIEGO! |
09-09-21 | White Sox v. A's -135 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 21 m | Show |
Chicago W.S. at Oakland 3:40 A's over White Sox- These two clubs met in the playoffs last season with the A's taking the series 2-1 but Oakland now trails the Yankees in the Wild Card chase by 3-games. Chicago has no such worries as they are running away with the AL Central and will start Reynaldo Lopez (3-1, 2.08 ERA) and he is 2-1 with a 0.77 ERA against the A's. Oakland will start Sean Manaea (8-9, 3.91) and he has face the White Sox just once going seven innings allowing one run on five hits and no walks. Chicago is 15-39 as road dogs and 6-16 on the road against winning teams. Take OAKLAND! |
09-08-21 | Reds v. Cubs +110 | 1-4 | Win | 110 | 8 h 29 m | Show
Money Game Cincinnati at Chicago Cubs 7:40 ET Cubs over Reds- Who could believe that the Cubs would win seven straight games after they way the team was gutted at the trade deadline, but they did. Yesterday that can to an end as the Reds posted a 4-3 win only their 3rd in their last 10 games. Cincinnati will start rookie Vladimir Gutierrez (9-6, 4.17 ERA) who has struggled in his last two starts getting tagged with a pair of losses. Chicago will start Alec Mills (6-6, 4.25) and he is 3-2 with a 3.77 ERA in 10 career appearances against the Reds. Take CUBS! |
09-08-21 | Blue Jays v. Yankees -115 | 6-3 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 55 m | Show
Power Play Toronto at N.Y. Yankees 7:05 ET Yankees over Mets- The Yankees had won 13 straight their longest streak since 1951 and were in the prime wild card spot but have lost 8-of-10 since and are just a half-game in front of the reeling Red Sox. While those two clubs are floundering the Blue Jays are making their move and is 9-1 in their last 10 games. Tonight's battle will have two rookies taking the mound as Toronto sends Alek Manoah (5-2, 3.63 ERA) to face off with the Yanks Luis Gil (1-0, 0.00) who will be making his fourth start for New York. I look for the Yankees to come 'alive' tonight. Take NEW YORK! |
09-08-21 | Mets v. Marlins +102 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 102 | 8 h 31 m | Show |
N.Y. Mets at Miami 6:40 ET Marline over Mets- It when it appeared the Mets were ready to self destruct they found life by winning 8-of-10. Mets players were being booed in NY so the players reacted against the fans and now it is an 'us' against them and they are winning. One person who is not winning for the Mets in Rich Hill (6-6, 3.92 ERA) who has yet to post a nine in six appearances with New York going 0-4. Miami will start Sandy Alcantara (8-13, 3.36) who has thrown well this season but was hit hard last time out against the Mets. The Marlins are 5-2 at home versus Mets and they get the money today. Take MIAMI! |
09-07-21 | Rays v. Red Sox -101 | Top | 12-7 | Loss | -101 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Boston 7:10 ET Red Sox over Rays- The Red Sox need to stop the bleeding as they blew a 6-run lead to Tampa Bay yesterday and are just 24-25 since the All-Star break when they were 55-36. Part of Boston's troubles is their defense which leads the AL in errors including four Monday that allowed six unearned runs. The Rays will send Drew Rasmussen (1-0, 3.00 ERA) and he has a 2.53 ERA in five appearances against the Red Sox with no decisions. The Sawx will start Eduardo Rodriguez (11-7, 4.88) and he defeated the Rays 4-0 in Tampa Bay last week throwing six scoreless innings. Take BOSTON! |
09-06-21 | Twins -110 v. Indians | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 20 h 7 m | Show |
Minnesota at Cleveland 6:10 ET Twins over Indians- Okay, let me digest this...The Twins who manny expected the win the Central have been terrible all year, they have now lost 4-of-5 and are19-games under .500. Cleveland who is right where most people expected them to be are 35-30 at home and the oddsmaker has made Minnesota the favorite here which makes no sense at all. The best that I can figure is that respect is being paid to 6'9” Bailey Ober (2-2, 3.98 ERA) who has averaged better and a strikeout per inning in this his rookie year. He has a 1.75 ERA in his last four starts covering 20 innings and they are 4-1 in the last five meetings. Take MINNESOTA! |
09-05-21 | Astros v. Padres +100 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 13 m | Show
Houston at San Diego 4:10 ET Padres over Astros- Among the MLB clubs that have not achieved what was expected of them and under-performed this season San Diego is probably your leading choice although they are 8-games over .500. But, there was so much more expected of them with the dynamic stars they have in their line-up and their pitching additions. Now, the Padres still have a shot a Wild Card spot but need wins here against the Astros and will start Chris Paddack (7-6, 4.61 ERA) who has allowed just four runs in his last four starts with an ERA of 2.50. Houston will start Luis Garcia (10-6, 3.23) and he has been a steady starter for the Astros but his mates are just 4-11 in their last 15 inter-league road games and 3-8 against right-handers on the road. Take SAN DIEGO! |
09-04-21 | Astros v. Padres -111 | Top | 2-10 | Win | 100 | 11 h 46 m | Show |
Houston at San Diego 8:40 ET Padres over Rockets- San Diego who at one time was 17-games over .500 before they hit the skids three weeks ago and have now lost 15 of their last 20. Left-hander Framber Valdez (9-4, 2.91 ERA) has been consistent all season and his mound opponent Joe Musgrove (9-8, 2.85) has a no-hitter and has won four of his last five and has surrendered two runs or less in six of seven starts. Take SAN DIEGO! |
09-03-21 | Dodgers v. Giants +105 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 105 | 11 h 56 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at San Francisco 9:45 ET Giants over Dodgers- What I've was told when I was a child was that the MLB season is a long one and the 'cream will rise to the top.' Well, that's what has happened in the NL West as the Giants dominated past for five months and now the 'cream' the Dodgers are making their move and have caught their bitter rivals. LA will send David Price (4-2, 3.88 ERA) and while he is 0-3 lifetime against the Giants he owns a 2.88 ERA. The Jints will send Anthony DiSclafani is 1-8 lifetime against the Dodgers with a 6.47 ERA. Still, this is a spot for SAN FRANCISCO! |
09-01-21 | Red Sox v. Rays -105 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
Boston at Tampa Bay 7:10 ET Rays over Red Sox- Boston's Chris Sale (3-0, 2.35 ERA) returns to his native Florida to pitch for the first time in over two years and he is coming off his'immaculate inning' Thursday when he fanned three Twins on nine pitches. He has recorded wins over the Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins in his three starts and now he faces a real baseball team. Tampa Bay has won nine straight and were 21-6 in August and will probably use their famous 'All-Staff' as a starter. Boston is 0-8 in their last eight game at Tropicana Field and 9-24 in the last 33 meetings overall. Take the RAYS! |
08-31-21 | Brewers -115 v. Giants | Top | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 14 h 60 m | Show |
Milwaukee at San Francisco 9:45 ET Brewers over Giants- Once again we have the Brewers favored on the road over San Francisco the MLB's team with the best record who is 42-20 at home. Granted Milwaukee may have the edge on the mound as Brandon Woodruff (8-7, 2.38 ERA) takes the hill for the visitors but the Giants are sending Alex Wood (10-4, 4.08) and his teammates are 16-7 when he starts on the bump. Johnny Cuerto (7-6, 2.73) is 11-4 with a 2.99 ERA in 23 career starts against the Brewers but it won't matter today. Giants are in a soon and Brewers are hot. Take MILWAUKEE! |
08-31-21 | A's v. Tigers +105 | 9-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 43 m | Show
Oakland at Detroit 7:10 ET Tigers over A's- The A's seem to have lost their 'mojo' as they have lost their last three and 4-of-5 while slipping out of wild card position as the Red Sox and Yankees have passed them in the standings and they trail by 2-games. In the last series between these two Oakland swept the Tigers four straight games outscoring Detroit 21-6. This time around the line is a mere pick-em and this time it reflects their current play. The A's will start Cole Irvin (9-12, 3.68 ERA) who has struck out only seven batter in his four August starts. His mound opponent will be Tarik Skubal (8-11, 4.01) racked up 10 K's in his last start in five innings against St. Louis. Take DETROIT |
08-30-21 | Brewers -135 v. Giants | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 11 m | Show
Milwaukee at San Francisco 9:45 ET Brewers over Giants- Talk about a 'Don't Make Sense' game this is it. Here is San Francisco with the best record in baseball at home where they are 42-19 a heavy underdog to the Brewers. Milwaukee had lost three in-a-row before defeating the lowly Twins 6-2 Sunday, but still they have scored just 11 runs in their last four games and that includes the six runs they scored yesterday and yet...favored here. Add that the Brew Crew is just 6-14 in their last 20 games at Frisco! What I guess is that Milwaukee starter Corbin Burnes (8-4, 2.30 ERA) is primed and ready to go while the Giants hurler Johnny Cueto (7-6, 3.73) must be in a bad way. Milwaukee is 36-16 in their last 51 games as favorites, 22-8 on the road and 42-18 against right handed starters. Take the BREWERS! |
08-29-21 | Giants v. Braves -127 | Top | 0-9 | Win | 100 | 4 h 36 m | Show |
San Francisco at Atlanta 1:20 ET Braves over Giants- One of the biggest pitching surprises this season has been the effectiveness of the Giants Anthony DeSclafini (11-5, 3.26 ERA) who entered the season with a lifetime record below .500 and with a career ERA over 4.50 having surrendered more hits than innings pitched. Atlanta will start Ian Anderson (5-5, 3.56) who has allowed less hits than innings pitched and has averaged 1.3 strikeouts per inning. Despite their win yesterday San Fran is just 3-9 in their last 12 games in Atlanta and the Braves are 20-6 following a loss and 21-6 in their last 27 games as favorites. Take ATLANTA! |
08-28-21 | Giants v. Braves -114 | Top | 5-0 | Loss | -114 | 11 h 28 m | Show |
San Francisco at Atlanta 7:20 ET Braves over Giants- The pundits are still trying to figure how the Giants have the best record in MLB and one reason for their success is their balance as the lead the majors in home runs with 195 and their team leader has just 20 dingers. San Francisco has assembled a pitching staff that is second in ERA at 3.70 and will start Logan Webb (7-3, 2.84 ERA) and his mates are 14-4 in his 18 starts. Atlanta leads the NL East as they are 20-7 in their last 27 games overall. The Braves who are 6-1 in the last seven meetings will start Huascar Ynoa (4-3, 2.89) and he is facing the Giants for the first time in his short career. Today, it is the BRAVES! |
08-27-21 | Reds v. Marlins +134 | 6-0 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 18 m | Show
Cincinnati at Miami 7:10 ET Marlins over Reds- Granted the Reds are hot having swept a three games series at Milwaukee and they have won 5-of-7 moving into the second Wild Card spot in the NL. Cincinnati will start lefty Wade Miley (10-4, 2.88 ERA) and they are 15-8 in his starts and has won his last six decisions. Miami will send Zach Thompson (2-5, 2.97) to the hill and the 27-year old rookie can handle the Reds lineup. The Marlins are 12-5 as hosts in the last 17 meetings and get the cash here. Take MIAMI! |
08-25-21 | Giants v. Mets -106 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
San Francisco at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Giants- When Francisco Lindor was placed on the IL six weeks ago the Mets were in first place leading the Phillies and Braves by 3-games but over the past six weeks they have dropped faster than Biden's approval ratings. Today, the Mets trail Atlanta by 6.5 games as they have lost 9-of-11 against the Giants and Dodgers and are 6-16 in August as Lindor returned Tuesday going 0-4. New York will start Taijuan Walker (7-8, 3.86 ERA) who is 0-5 with a 7.49 ERA, with opponents averaging .284 while allowing 11 home runs. Walker is 3-2 with a 3.82 era in six appearances against the Giants who will start Johnny Cueto (7-6, 3.89) who is 4-4 with a 3.53 lifetime against the Mets. Although the number are ugly New York is 4-1 when favored in last five and are 25-12 at home. Take the METS! |
08-24-21 | Giants v. Mets -106 | Top | 8-0 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 18 m | Show |
San Francisco at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Giants- New York returns home after win over the Dodgers Sunday but had a nightmare west coast road trip and are 6-15 in August. The Giants who lead the majors with 80 wins are 15-5 in their last 20 games and will start rookie left-hander Sammy Long (1-1, 5.72 ERA) who in his last five appearances has an ERA of 7.43 allowing opponents to hit .276. The Mets will also start a rookie in Tylor Megill (1-2, 3.21) who has a 27-5 strikeout to walk ratio. New York is 15-games under .500 on the road but a healthy 36-23 at home and 13-3 following a day off. Take the METS! |
08-23-21 | White Sox v. Blue Jays -101 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 38 m | Show |
Chicago W.S. at Toronto 7:07 ET Blue Jays over White Sox- The Blue Jays are blowing their Wild Card chances as they have dropped 7-of-9 losing in extra innings nine times in 11 tries. Chicago enters this fray losing 3-of-4 and will start their ace Lance Lynn (10-3, 2.26 ERA) and he is 3-0 with a 2.44 ERA in his last nine starts but is 1-3 with a 4.73 ERA against Toronto. Rookie Alek Manoah (5-2, 3.34) will start for the Blue Jays who are 10-4 when playing in Toronto. Take the BLUE JAYS! |
08-22-21 | Mets +175 v. Dodgers | 7-2 | Win | 175 | 7 h 23 m | Show
N.Y. Mets at L.A Dodgers 4:10 ET Mets over Dodgers- Since losing Jacob deGrom from their rotation the Mets have dropped in the standing even faster than the 1964 Phillies. (Am I dating myself) LA has won nine straight and 13-of-14 and are 44-19 as favorites. The slumping nets will send veteran Marcus Stroman (8-12, 2.84 ERA) o the mound who has just one career start against the Dodgers. LA will counter with David Price (4-1, 3.62) who has just one appearance again New York nine years ago. In a surprise the Mets are the side here. Take NEW YORK! |
08-22-21 | Giants v. A's -108 | 2-1 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 20 m | Show
San Francisco at Oakland 4:05 ET A's over Giants- San Francisco is looking to sweep this 3-game set against their Bay rivals in Oakland after they posted a dramatic 6-5 come-from-behind win on Saturday. Previous to this series Oakland had defeated the Giants in 7-of-9. The Jints have the best record in MLB as they are 10-games better than Oakland and are 35 games over .500. SF will start Logan Webb (7-3, 2.92 ERA) and he is 4-0 in his last 10 starts while Oakland will send Frankie Montas (9-9, 4.04) to the hill and he has no decisions against the Giants while Webb is 0-2 against the A's. Take OKLAND! |
08-22-21 | Royals v. Cubs -106 | Top | 9-1 | Loss | -106 | 6 h 47 m | Show |
Kansas City at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Cubs over Royals- The Cubs organization should be ashamed of themselves after sending the heart of their line-up and ballplayers away to leading contenders. Chicago has now lost 14 of 16 which is a part of a 12-game home losing streak their longest since 1900. The oddity here is that Kansas City is 2-8 in their last 10 games on the road against teams with losing records and both wins came against the Cubs. Chi-town will start Alec Mills (5-5, 4.19 ERA) who has hd one career start against the Royals earned the win after throwing seven scoreless innings allowing just three hits. Despite their home losing streak Chicago is 31-30 at home. Today they break their home losing streak with a win. Take the CUBS! |
08-21-21 | White Sox v. Rays -134 | Top | 4-8 | Win | 100 | 2 h 46 m | Show |
Chicago W.S. at Tampa Bay 1:10 ET Rays over White Sox- Chicago leads the AL Central Division by 11.5 games and are 52-29 against non-playoff teams but, are just 20-22 on the road. Tampa Bay has the best record in the AL and have won six of their last nine. The White Sox will start Dallas Keuchel (8-6, 4.48 ERA) and he is 2-5 with a 4.18 ERA in nine starts against Tampa. The Rays wills start Luis Pation (2-3, 4.73) who is facing the White Sox who are 15-37 as road underdogs for the first time. Tampa is 43-17 as favorites in their last 60 games. Take TAMPA BAY! |
08-20-21 | Giants -112 v. A's | 1-4 | Loss | -112 | 8 h 47 m | Show
San Francisco at Oakland 9:40 ET Giants over A's- The biggest surprise in baseball this season is season has been the play of the Giants who own the best record in MLB as they are now 35-games over .500. Oakland, meanwhile has a half-game lead over Boston for the final wild card spot and will start James Kaprielian (6-4, 3.33 ERA) who has just two innings of work against the Giants surrendering one run. San Francisco will start lefty Alex Wood (10-3, 4.14) who is 1-2 with a 5.66 ERA in four lifetime starts against the A's. The Giants are 16-6 as inter-league favorites and the sliding A's are 1-5 in their last six overall. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
08-18-21 | Red Sox v. Yankees -111 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show |
Boston at N.Y. Yankees 7:05 ET Yankees over Red Sox- Boston will certainly have the best of it on the mound as Nick Pivetta (9-5, 4.20 ERA) takes the hill against New York's newly acquired Andrew Heaney (7-8, 5.78). Heaney who was the Angels Opening Day starter has been atrocious since coming over to the Yankees and has a 9.00 ERA in three starts. In less than a month the Red Sox have lost a 9.5-game lead over New York and have lost 10 of their last 13 games. They won the first eight meetings of the season against the Bronx Bombers but are just 17-38 at Yankee Stadium. The Yanks are 17-5 since blowing a 4-0 lead at Fenway and don't worry about Heaney (I will do that) as they have their 'mojo' working while the 'Dead Sox' are gagging. Take NEW YORK! |
08-17-21 | A's v. White Sox +102 | Top | 0-9 | Win | 102 | 10 h 57 m | Show |
Oakland at Chicago W.S. 8:10 ET White Sox over A's- Oakland's Chris Bassitt (12-3, 3.06 ERA) and he is 9-1 with a 2.61 ERA in his last 15 starts and he is 2-1 with a 3.04 Era in four starts against Chicago. The White Will send Reynaldo Lopez (1-0, 1.35) who replaces Carlos Rodon in the rotation and he is 1-1 with a 0.98 ERA against the A's in three starts with 20 K's in 18 innings. The White Sox ave been dominate at home going 56-26 in their last 82 although until last night they have struggled against Oakland. This time Sox surprise. Take CHICAGO! |
08-16-21 | A's -105 v. White Sox | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 49 m | Show |
Oakland at Chicago W.S. 8:10 ET A's over White Sox- A pair of AL playoff clubs confront each other where the White Sox will host Oakland and both clubs are coming off losses. The A's trail Houston by 2.5-games in the AL West while Chicago is on cruise control in the Central leading Cleveland by 10-games. Oakland will start Frankie Montas (9-8, 3.98 ERA) who has had six quality starts in-a-row will be making his first career start against the White Sox while the Pale Hose will start veteran lefty Dallas Keuchel (7-6, 4.51) who has gone five starts without a win and is 1-2 with a 5.06 ERA in his last four starts against the A's. Oakland is 4-0 in their last four after a loss and are 7-3 in their last ten games in Chicago and 38-15 against left-handed starters. The White Sox are strong at home but just 18-38 as underdogs. Take OAKLAND! |
08-14-21 | Reds -136 v. Phillies | 1-6 | Loss | -136 | 7 h 32 m | Show
Cincinnati at Philadelphia 4:10 ET Reds over Phillies- Philadelphia has moved into a 1st place tie with Atlanta on the heels of a 9-3 run in their last 12 games. Cincinnati is nine-games over .500 and are in a solid wildcard position as they send Luis Castillo (6-11, 4.53 ERA) to the mound. He started the season 1-8 when he allowed eight ru8ns in his first start and was hit up for 8-runs for the third time this season last time out against the former Indians. After both of those previous outings he produced quality starts so I expect him to bounce back here. The Phillies are starting Matt Moore (1-3, 6.79) and the veteran lefty just doesn't have it! Castillo was 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA in his previous six starts before his disaster last time out. Take CINCINNATI! |
08-12-21 | Blue Jays -128 v. Angels | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -128 | 12 h 47 m | Show |
Megabucks Toronto at L.A. Angels 9:35 ET Blue Jays over Angels- The 'Shohei Ohtani Show' continues tonight as Ohtani (6-1, 2.93 ERA) takes the hill leading the majors in home runs with 38 as well as scoring 76 runs and stolen 17 bases. But, he has struggled at the plate of late going 1-for-15 with just one homer since July 28 and he has never faced the Blue Jays. Toronto will start Jose Berrios (8-5, 3.23) who is 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA in a pair of starts for the Jays. The Blue Jays have MLB's three top run scorers in Bichette and Guerrero lead with 87 each and Semien is at 84. Jays have won 12 of last 15 and Springer is hot as they dash to the playoffs. Take TORONTO! |
08-12-21 | Reds v. Braves -142 | 12-3 | Loss | -142 | 7 h 17 m | Show
Power Play Cincinnati at Atlanta 5:10 ET Braves over Reds- As the Mets are free falling both the Phillies and Braves have moved ahead of New York in the NL East standings. After five straight home wins the Reds have taken to the road and have lost three in-a-row but still have a 1.5-game lead in the NL Wild Card standings. Atlanta will most likely need to win the division for the fourth straight year to qualify for this season's playoffs and Cincinnati needs just to keep pace right now. The Reds will start Vladimir Gutierrez (7-3, 4.15 ERA) who has won his last three starts posting an ERA of 1.86 and he will be opposed by Kyle Muller (2-3, 2.88) who held Cincy scoreless in five innings with nine strikeouts on June 27. The Braves have lost 4-straight in Atlanta and the beat goes on today. Take ATLANTA! |
08-12-21 | Rays v. Red Sox -102 | 8-1 | Loss | -102 | 6 h 17 m | Show
Money Game Tampa Bay at Boston 4:10 ET Red Sox over Rays- The Red Sox stopped the bleeding for at least for a day with their 20-8 pounding of the Rays yesterday and are waiting for the return of Chris Sale this week and they have added also rookie Tanner Houck (0-2, 2.45 ERA) to the rotation. Tampa Bay who scored seven runs in the ninth inning yesterday will start Drew Rasmussen (1-1, 4.15) out of the bullpen who is making just his third start in 25 appearances. Boston is 15-6 in their last 21 home games and are 4-1 against the Rays. Take the RED SOX! |
08-11-21 | A's v. Indians +137 | Top | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 7 m | Show |
Oakland at Cleveland 7:10 ET Indians over A's- A huge conflict in trends are surrounding this contest as Oakland has won five straight games overall and six straight at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The Indians who managed just one-hit in the final 8.1 innings of yesterday's 4-3 loss are now 8-20 in their last 28 games as home underdogs. The A's will start Frankie Montas (9-8, 4.10 ERA)and he is 1-2 with a fine 2.86 ERA in seven career appearances against the Tribe. The conflict appears when Indians starter Can Quantrill (3-2, 3.14) who is 3-0 with a 1.50 ERA in his last six starts takes the hill. He has an ERA of 0.47 in his last three outings and has allow just 19 hits in his last 30 innings. Take CLEVELAND! |
08-10-21 | Tigers v. Orioles -101 | 9-4 | Loss | -101 | 11 h 50 m | Show
AL Money Game Detroit at Baltimore 7:05 ET Orioles over Tigers- This pitching matchup is appears to be a bit one-sided as Detroit's heralded rookie Casey Mize (6-6, 3.57 ERA) will start against the Orioles. Mize, whose best outing of the season came just 10 days ago against the Orioles not allowing an earned run and only four hits in seven innings in a 6-2 Tigers win. On the flip side Baltimore will start left-hander Keegan Akin (0-5, 7.66) and he has surrendered 70 hits in just 51.2 innings of work. With this numbers between the two starters it makes no sense for this contest to be even close to the opening line of pick-em.' As bad as the O's are they are still 8-3 in their last 11 games against teams with losing records and the Tigers are horrid on the road going 43-90 on their last 133 away games. Take BALTIMORE! |
08-10-21 | Reds -102 v. Braves | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Atlanta 7:20 ET Reds over Braves- Things are shaping up as the season moves on and two playoff contenders who met in last years playoffs face off in Atlanta. The Reds will send inconsistent Sonny Gray (4-6, 4.44 ERA) to start and he has yet to defeat the Braves in four career starts (0-2, 3.16) while Bravo starter Drew Smyly (7-3, 4.50) is 2-0 with a 3.12 ERA in four career appearances against the Reds. Cincinnati is playing well and is 8-3 in their last 11 on the road and 5-1 in their last six games overall while Atlanta hasn't won two straight home games since July 2. Take CINCINNATI! |
08-10-21 | Rays v. Red Sox -120 | 8-4 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 2 m | Show
AL Power Play Tampa Bay at Boston 7:10 ET Red Sox over Rays- The Red Sox who have been leading the way in the AL East for most of the year have fallen four-games behind Tampa Bay after dropping 8-of-10 on their most recent road trip that began with tree losses at Tampa Bay. The Rays are 8-2 in their last 10 games and started their nine-game road trip by sweeping the Orioles in Baltimore. Tampa Bay is start rookie right-hander Luis Patino (2-3, 4.42 ERA) who will face Boston for the first time and he will be opposed by left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (8-6, 5.33) who is 1-3, with a 5.33 ERA in 10 starts against Tampa Bay. The Rays are the hot team right now, but, this is a huge series for the Sawx. Take BOSTON! |
08-08-21 | Giants v. Brewers +101 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 36 m | Show |
San Francisco at Milwaukee 2:10 ET Brewers over Giants- And the 'beat goes on'...the Giants just continue to win and right now they are the only club with 70 wins and they have a 4-game lead on the rest of baseball. Milwaukee has the deepest and strongest pitching staff which keeps opponents at a .213 batting average the low in MLB. Sunday, San Francisco will start their version of a 'Brewer Beater' as Johnny Cuerto (7-6, 3.83 ERA) who is 11-4 lifetime over Milwaukee while the Brewers will start lefty Brett Anderson (4-5, 3.67) who is 2-5 lifetime against the Jints who has surrendered just three hits in each of his last three starts going 2-0 with 1.80 ERA. The Brewers are 5-2 in the last seven meetings and are 9-3 against teams with winning records above .600 and the Giants are 1-4 in their last five starts against lefties on the road. Take MILWAUKEE! |
08-07-21 | Mets v. Phillies -105 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 41 m | Show |
New York Mets at Philadelphia 4:15 ET Phillies over Mets- I never feel comfortable when taking a 'popular' or 'public' side in games and this one stands out. Philadelphia has won six straight and after trailing New York for the entire season have caught up to the MUTS and have moved into the top spot in the NL East as the Metropolitan's have dropped 5-of-6 seven of their last nine games. Home field has been important to both clubs as the Phillies are 32-21 at home while New York are 23-33 on the road and have lost 15 of their last 22 meetings in Philadelphia. The mets are 3-9 in their last 12 starts against a left-handed starter while the 'Whiz Kids' are 8-2 against right-handed starters. Tylor Megill (1-1, 2.68 ERA) gets the nod for the Mets and he has shown well but it's a team game and New York is in a funk. The Phillies will start Ranger Suarez (5-3, 1.04) who has allowed just 21 hits in 43.1 innings although he is 1-2 with a 5.11 ERA in eight appearances against the Mets. Still, it's the 'mojo'...take PHILADELPHIA! |
08-06-21 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays -130 | 4-12 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show
Boston at Toronto 7:07 ET Blue Jays over Red Sox- MLB plays the most games and has the longest schedule of any professional team sports and it is expected that the better clubs will rise to the top before the season's end. Boston after starting 0-3 getting swept by the Orioles of all teams and from that point posted the best record in the AL until this past week as they have now lost seven of their last nine games and are 1-5 on their current road trip. Toronto is at a season high 8-games over .500 and now trail the Red Sox by just 3-games in the loss column and are hosting Boston in Toronto for the first time in two years where the Jays are now 6-1 in their first home stand. Boston will start Nathan Eovaldi (9-6, 3.71 ERA) who at times has 'electric' stuff when in command and he will be opposed by rookie right-hander Alek Manoah (3-1, 2.47) who has held opponents to just 30 hits in 47.1 innings. Toronto playing with confidence and loving the home support. Take BLUE JAYS! |
08-01-21 | A's v. Angels -113 | Top | 8-3 | Loss | -113 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
Oakland at L.A. Angels 4:04 ET Angels over A's- It looks like I was a day early with the release of the Angles in the first game of this series and now I hope that I'm not a day late with this one. The Halos have been a thorn in my side so to speak as I have not been able to cash-in on them very often. Oakland has yet to name its starter although Daulton Jerreries most likely get the nod here. The Angels with send 2020 No. 1 pick Reid Detmers to the mound who is making his MLB debut. The A's are 3-7 in their last 10-games as underdogs and LA is 12-5 in their last 17 as home favorites. Take the ANGELS! |
07-31-21 | Red Sox v. Rays -100 | Top | 5-9 | Win | 100 | 10 h 57 m | Show |
Boston at Tampa Bay 6:10 ET Rays over Red Sox- Tough matchup between the two top teams in the AL East as host Tampa Bay who trails the Red Sox by a half-game have won the last three meetings after dropped the first four this season. Boston will start 12-year veteran Nathan Eovaldi (9-5, 3.39 ERA) and the righty has always had electric stuff and has managed to win a pair of playoff games in 2018 and had an ERA 1.18 in the World Series but, has never reached the heights from a guy that knows how to win. He is 3-5 with an ERA of 4.91 lifetime against his former teammates while Ryan Yarbrough (6-4, 4.38) gets the nod for the Rays. He has struggled against the Red Sox as he is 3-3 with a 6.79 ERA in 13 career games (six starts) against Boston. Tampa Bay is 5-2 in their last seven meetings as hosts and 17-8 in the last 25 meetings. Take the RAYS! |
07-30-21 | A's v. Angels +110 | Top | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 0 m | Show |
Oakland at L.A. Angels 9:35 ET Angels over A's- This will be the third time this season that the respective starting pitchers have already faced each other twice with the A's winning both 6-2 and 5-0 in May. LA will start Patrick Sandoval (3-4, 3.52 ERA) and he is off a 13 strikeout and one hit in 8.2 innings. Oakland will send their winningest hurler in Chris Bassitt (10-3, 3.46) and he has struggled in three of his last four starts. The Angels are are 4-1 in their last five and 19-9 in their last 28 home games. GO OHTANI! Take the ANGELS! |
07-29-21 | Dodgers -119 v. Giants | Top | 0-5 | Loss | -119 | 7 h 36 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at San Francisco 3:45 ET Dodgers over Giants- A pair of veteran hurlers will take the mound for the two best teams in the NL as David Price (4-0 3.35 ERA) gets the nod for Los Angeles and Johnny Cueto (6-5, 4.09) starts for the Giants. The Dodgers have picked up the pace as they are 9-4 in their last 13 against teams with winning records and are 7-1 in the last eight meetings in San Francisco. Price is 0-2 lifetime against the Giants with a 2.45 ERA in five meetings (4 starts). L.A. arms silence the Giants bats allowing just two runs in the first two games of the series. That do it again...take the DODGERS! |
07-28-21 | Diamondbacks v. Rangers -108 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -108 | 13 h 56 m | Show |
Arizona at Texas 8:05 ET Rangers over Diamondbacks- As this game will prove what Lee Wills once said about a pair of garbage teams playing each other is that 'there's got to be a winner. Arizona is 9-52 in their last 61 games as an underdog and 0-7 in inter-league games while lowly Texas is 6-2 in their last eight as home favorites but they are 8-20 in their last 28 inter-league home games. The D'backs will start veteran lefty Madison Bumgarner (4-6, 5.09 ERA) who is in the twilight of his career and is just playing out the string. The Rangers should start Jordan Lyles (5-7, 5.20) who is off a six-inning two-run performance against Oakland and they broke an 11-game losing streak last night and like Lee said 'somebody' has got to win. Take TEXAS! |
07-27-21 | A's +137 v. Padres | 4-7 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 7 m | Show
MLB Power Play Oakland at San Diego 10:10 ET A's over Padres- Let me start by saying that I think this line is awful high considering all factors. San Diego starter Chris Paddack (6-6, 4.76 ERA) has been sharp of late as he isn 4-1 since June 13 but still has a 1.3 WHIP on the season and that's not so hot. Both clubs enter on losing notes as the Padres dropped their last two to Miami and the A's fell 3-straight to Seattle. Oakland will start James Kaprielian (5-3, 2.65) and he's been tough on batters allowing just 50 hits in 68 innings with 73 strikeouts. Take OAKLAND! |
07-27-21 | Marlins -134 v. Orioles | 7-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show
Money Game Miami at Baltimore 7:05 ET Marlins over Orioles- A pair of cellar dwellers meet with both clubs coming off winning series. Baltimore just defeated Washington 3-straight for their first series sweep of the season while Miami took a pair of wins over the Padres. The Marlins will start Sandy Alcantara (5-9, 3.23 ERA) who hasn't pitched since July 16 and has an ERA of 2.60 when getting at least six days between starts. Baltimore is just 16-30 at home and are an underdog to a 19-34 road team in the Marlins. That should tell you something...take MIAMI! |
07-26-21 | Reds +118 v. Cubs | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 1 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Chicago Cubs 8:05 ET Reds over Cubs- Chicago manager David Ross admits that the Cubs will most likely be 'sellers' before the trade deadline on Friday as they closed the first half of the season losing 13 of their last 15 and are 3-6 since. Cincinnati will start Wade Miley (8-4, 2.72 ERA) and he is 7-4 lifetime against the Cubs including 2-1 with a 4.88 ERA in four starts at Wrigley Field while Chicago's ace Kyle Hendricks (12-4, 3.61) ands he is 6-5 with a 4.24 ERA in 20 career starts against the Redlegs. Cincy has won the last four meetings and are 5-1 in their last six when underdogs while the Cubs are 0-8 in their last eight against teams with winning records. Take CINCINNATI! |
07-25-21 | White Sox v. Brewers -132 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -132 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Milwaukee 7:05 ET Brewers over White Sox- 'We' are looking for a Brewers sweep of the White Sox here as their pitching staff is setting strikeout records. Chicago has lost their offensive 'mojo' as they have scored just four runs in their last three games and it won't get any better tonight. Milwaukee will start Brandon Woodruff (7-4, 2.04 ERA) and his 'numbers' are impressive as he has a 6.8/1 strikeout to walk ratio and opponents are hitting .168 against him. Chicago's Lance Lynn (9-3, 2.03) is having a huge comeback season allowing more than two runs only three times in 17 starts this season. The White Sox don't play well as road dogs where they are 14-37 in their last 51 in that role. Brewers 16-7 as favorites and 8-3 against right handed starters. Take MILWAUKEE! |
07-24-21 | Tigers v. Royals -113 | 8-9 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show
Money Game Detroit at Kansas City 7:10 ET Royals over Tigers-I sort of hate myself after 'passing' with this one yesterday as the Royals posted a victory and now I'm coming with them against Detroit's bright young emerging star in Casey Mize (5-5, 3.44 ERA) the No. 1 overall pick by the Tigers in 2018. Detroit had their 7-game win streak stopped last night and with 47 wins have surprised the experts and are just five games under the break-even mark. Mize will most likely be limited to 60 pitches and his mound opponent Carlos Hernandez (1-1, 4.91) and he is 0-1 with an ERA of 5.79 in two chances against the Tigers. The third time is a charm...take KANSAS CITY! |
07-24-21 | White Sox v. Brewers -118 | Top | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Milwaukee 7:10 ET Brewers over White Sox- In what should be a great pitching matchup a pair of All-Stars will oppose each other for their respective first place teams. Chicago who is 13-6 in the last 19 meetings will send Carlos Rodon (8-3, 2.14 ERA) to the bump and he will be facing off against Milwaukee's Corbin Burnes (5-4, 2.16). Both hurlers were impressive on the return from the break as Rodon hurled seven scoreless innings surrendering just one hit striking out 10 and walking none and speaking about few walks, Burnes has 140 K's on the season with just 16 walks in 96 innings and an ERA of 0.84 in his last three starts. The Brewers are 15-7 in their last 22 as home favorites and 7-3 against left-handed starters. Take MILWAUKEE! |
07-24-21 | Braves v. Phillies -122 | 15-3 | Loss | -122 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Power Play Atlanta at Philadelphia 6:05 ET Phillies over Braves- Two of the more disappointing clubs with identical records under .500 square off as the Phillies host Atlanta with both teams entering the contest 47-48. The difference is that at $100 per game you are stuck -$1300 with the Braves and -$235 with Philadelphia. It seems that the Phillies are being more aggressive as Bryce Harper stole three bases in Friday's game for the first time in his career. Atlanta is one hurting team and will send their most effective hurler lefty Drew Smyly (7-3. 4.50 ERA) to the mound and his counterpart will be Vince Velasquez (3-4, 5.00) who is 1-6 lifetime against Atlanta. Smyly has made three appearances against the Braves and has a 6.10 ERA with no decisions with his mates are 3-9 in their last 12 games in 'Liberty Bell City.' Take PHILLIES! |
07-23-21 | White Sox v. Brewers -122 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 12 h 8 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Brewers over White Sox- These two clubs are the respective leaders in their divisions as Chicago is 02-games over .500 and lead the AL Central by 9-games and Milwaukee leads the NL Central 6.5-games. Lucas Giolito (8-6, 3.90 ERA) starts for the White Sox and he is off a 107 pitch complete game effort against the Astros while the Brewers Freddy Peralta (7-3, 2.39) is making his first appearance since July 10 and has an ERA of 1.91 in his last 10 starts. Although Chicago is 13-6 in the last 19 meetings the Brewers are 15-5 in their last 20 games against right-handed starters. Take MILWAUKEE! |
07-22-21 | Yankees +126 v. Red Sox | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
N.Y. Yankees at Boston 7:10 ET Yankees over Red Sox- It looks as though the 'worm has turned' for the Yankees as they are now riding a 4-game winning streak and have won 9-of-12. After dropping the first seven meetings to the Red Sox, New York has won the last two and will send Jordan Montgomery (3-5, 4.18 ERA) to the hill and he is 1-2 with a 4.24 ERA in eight starts against Boston with both losses this season. The Sox will send Tanner Houck (0-2, 3.38) to the mound and he has one start against the Bombers surrendering just one unearned run in a six inning win. This time tables are turned. Take NEW YORK! |
07-21-21 | Cubs +110 v. Cardinals | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 50 m | Show
Chicago at St. Louis 8:15 ET Cubs over Cardinals- How does a team react after blowing a ninth inning five-run lead against their hated rivals, that is the question St. Louis has to answer as they continue to batting the 500 mark. Both of these inconsistent clubs are at 47-48 and will be sending their best to the hill as Chicago sends Kyle Hendricks (12-4, 3.65 ERA) against Adam Wainwright (7-6, 3.71) who is 17-13 with a 4.00 ERA in 43 lifetime starts against the Cubs while Hendricks who won his 10th consecutive decision is 12-3 with a 2.82 ERA in 23 career starts against the Cardinals. Take the CUBS! |
07-20-21 | Phillies -126 v. Yankees | Top | 4-6 | Loss | -126 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
Philadelphia at New York Yankees 7:05 ET Phillies over Yankees- So here comes Philadelphia into Yankee Stadium where Joe Girardi was last seen by fans managing New York in the AL Championship series in 2017. In 2020, he made an August appearance that had no one in the stands. Tonight the Phillies will start Aaron Nola (6-5, 4.53 ERA) who is 1-0 with a 0.66 ERA in two career starts against the Yankees including a 7-0 win in June where he allowed just three hits in 7.2 innings striking out nine. New York will start Domingo German (4-5, 4.72) who is 0-1 with an ERA of 11.81 against the Phillies. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
07-19-21 | Rangers -105 v. Tigers | Top | 0-14 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 52 m | Show |
Texas at Detroit 7:10 ET Rangers over Tigers- Go figure! Detroit closes the first have of the season with four straight losses to the Twins and then opens the second half with a 3-game sweep of Minnesota. Texas meanwhile was swept in double-header at Toronto managing just three hits in both seven inning games. The Tigers will start Casey Mize (5-5, 3.59 ERA) who hasn't allowed more then three runs in any of his last 13 starts. The Rangers will go with Kyle Gipson (6-1, 2.29) whose only loss came against Mize in Arlington. Texas is 25-9 in their last 34 games against the Tigers including 20-8 in the Motor City. Take TEXAS! |
07-17-21 | Marlins +102 v. Phillies | Top | 2-2 | Push | 0 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
Miami at Philadelphia 6:05 ET Marlins over Phillies- These two squads split a twin-bill Friday with Miami winning the second game 7-0 as the Phillies managed just a pair of hits. Philadelphia will send inconsistent Vince Velasquez (3-4, 5.35 ERA) to the mound and he is 6-4 with an ERA of 4.19 in 19 starts against the Marlins. Miami will start rookie Zach Thompson (2-2, 2.25) who spent seven years in the White Sox farm system and is making the best of his opportunity and is facing the Phillies for the first time. The Marlins are 5-1 in their last five against right-handed starters but just 6-16 in their last 22 road games. Still, it's MIAMI! |
07-11-21 | Blue Jays -117 v. Rays | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 54 m | Show |
Toronto at Tampa Bay 1:10 ET Blue Jays over Rays- Tampa Bay like the 'A' Play is seeking their 7th straight win and they are an underdog at home and that seems a bit off to me The Blue Jays are favored on the road but haven't played a home game in two years as it is. Toronto as they haven played a game in Canada in over two years. But, the Blue birds are favored here. It doesn't figure...Take TORONTO! |
07-10-21 | Yankees -108 v. Astros | Top | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 6 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Houston 7:10 ET Yankees over Astros- 'Spin rate'...that's the word surrounding Geritol Cole (8-4, 2.91 ERA) who seems to be more affected by the 'new' rules enforcement concerning foreign substances that most. In his last two starts he has been roughed for nine runs in just 8.1 innings getting racked by the Mets and Red Sox and he faces the best hitting team in MLB. Houston will start the nervous Zack Greinke (8-2, 3.64) who realizes this is a 'big' series, it's the first visit to Houston for the Yankees since the Astros signal stealing cheating scandal. Yankees get more revenge. Take NEW YORK! |
07-09-21 | Reds -105 v. Brewers | Top | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 18 h 46 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Milwaukee 7:10 ET Reds over Brewers- Here I go again looking for the Reds to make up for spoiling what could have been a MLB sweep as the Megabucks and Power Player were winners. So, when a club starts their best I feel more confident backing them and today Cincinnati will start Wade Miley (6-4, 3.16 ERA) on the hill and his opposition will be Eric Laura (3-3, 4.11) who has allowed just six hits in his last 12.1 innings of work but walked six as control is still his biggest nemesis. Reds entered this series with five straight wins at Milwaukee and are 16-6 on Fridays (HA!). Take CINCINNATI! |
07-08-21 | Reds +101 v. Brewers | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 31 m | Show
NL Money Game Cincinnati at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Reds over Brewers- There is something about this Cincinnati team that keeps me 'wanting' to win with them and I don't want to become locked-in or fixated with any team. I do like Tyler Mahle ( 7-3, 3.63 ERA) as he shows me impressive number where I like them like allowing just 74 hits in 89.1 innings while striking out 112 and walking just one every three innings. The Reds are 12-2 versus the NL Central and that including 5-0 at Milwaukee. Brewers Adrian Houser (6-6, 3.94) gets the start his 16th of the year with a 5-year lifetime 12-18 record. Crew have won hot and hare 13-3 in last 16 games at home...should be a good one...Take CINCINNATI! |
07-08-21 | Phillies +105 v. Cubs | 8-0 | Win | 105 | 10 h 33 m | Show
NL Power Play Philadelphia at Chicago Cubs 7:10 ET Phillies over Cubs- So, the Cubs finally won after 11 straight defeats but they lost a part of starters as Jav1er Baez when down along with Kris Bryant who is ailing once again. Chicago will start Adbert Alozlay (4-8, 4.48 ERA) who has had some success at home but it was a while ago as the Cubs have lost his last four starts. Despite yesterday's loss the Phillies had won the previous six meetings although they are 16-35 as road underdogs. They have been know to lay down themselves, but after a beating they took I expect a rebound here. Philadelphia will start Zack Elfin (3-6, 4.18) and he is off a six inning outing against the Padres while surrendering just two hits his best of the season. Cubs 1-6 last six against right-handers after last night's win. Take the PHILLIES! |
07-08-21 | Royals v. Indians -132 | Top | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 52 m | Show |
Kansas City at Cleveland 7:10 ET Indians over Royals- Neither of these two clubs were expected to contend for the AL title but they both are looking like they will exhaust any chance they might have had they way they are playing now. Cleveland has lost nine straight while Kansas City has dropped 12 of their last 15. The Royals will start Danny Duffy (4-3, 2.60 ERA) and the veteran lefty has struggled against the tribe lifetime going 5-13 with a 4.81 ERA in 25 career appearances. Meanwhile, Cleveland starter Dan Plesac (4-3, 4.14) has dominated the Royals in six career starts going 5-0 with a 1.83 ERA) Take the INDIANS! |
07-07-21 | Yankees -108 v. Mariners | Top | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
N.Y. Yankees at Seattle 10:10 ET Yankees over Mariners- The Bronx Bombers have been ready to explode for a while now and it is happening fight now, too bad for Seattle who held the Wild Card lead over New York before this series started but it won't end that way. The Yankees heavy laden lineup will start nine right-handed batters (as they always do as that's all they have) and they will face Seattle's lone All-Star Yusei Kikuchi (6-3, 3.18 ERA) who has a 2-year career record of 8-15 with a 5.39 ERA and is 1-1 with a 4.26 ERA against New York. The Yankees will start the struggling Domingo German (4-5, 4.50) but is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA against Seattle. New York has dominated the Mariners over the years going 35-17 at Seattle and are 43-19 in the last 62 meetings. Take the YANKEES! |
07-06-21 | Rockies v. Diamondbacks -124 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
Colorado at Arizona 9:10 ET Diamondbacks over Rockies- The 23-63 Diamondbacks are favored and even at home that shouldn't be as they are 13-27 when playing as hosts. Maybe it's starter Merrill Kelly (5-7, 4.67 ERA) 89 K's and only 25 walks in 98.1 innings because their lineup is nothing to fear, as this team is challenging the 1960 inaugural New York Mets season played at the Polo Grounds and they were 40-120 .250 with a pair of games that weren't made up. But, this Colorado team is one of the worst even on the road and are 6-31 including a 23-game away losing streak. Jon Gray (5-6, 3.89) takes the hill for the Rockies and he is 4-3 with a 3.86 ERA at Chase Field but are 1-6 in last seven games when underdogs. Take ARIZONA! |

07-06-21 | White Sox v. Twins +110 | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Chicago W.S. at Minnesota 7:10 ET Twins over White Sox- The 2-time defending AL Central Champions Minnesota has finally started to pick up the pace after dropping 14-games below .500. The current Division leader White Sox have lost their last three and will send All-Star Carlos Rodon (6-3, 2.37 ERA) to the mound and he is just 2-3 with a 5.32 ERA at Target Field. The Twins will start Jose Barrios (7-2, 3.52) who has won five straight decisions and is 12-2 with a 2.77 ERA in 18 career starts against Chicago. Once again I'll mention that the Twins are 14-6 over the White Sox in their last 20 meetings at Target Field. Take MINNESOTA! |

07-05-21 | White Sox v. Twins +102 | Top | 5-8 | Win | 102 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Minnesota 7:10 ET Twins over White Sox- Let just say that the third time is a charm. Minnesota will send Bailey Ober (0-1, ERA) to the mound against the White Sox for the third time in seven starts this season as he took the loss last Wednesday and has an 11.81 ERA against the Chisox. Chicago 8-1 this season against and will start Dylan Cease (7-3, 3.75) who is 1-2 with a 7.54 ERA in five career start against the Twins. Minnesota is the two-time defending Central Division champs and trail the Pale Hose by 14.5 games. The White Sox are 2-7 in their last nine road games and are 10-23 on the road against right handed starters while the Twins are 13-6 over the Sox in the last 19 games at home. Take MINNESOTA! |
07-04-21 | Padres -127 v. Phillies | Top | 11-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 49 m | Show |
San Diego at Philadelphia 1:5 ET Padres over Phillies- After opening this series with the Phillies and a win 'we' passed on them Saturday and they won without 'us'! Well, not this time, nope they are not going to suck me in after missing Saturday's win that WE will collect with Black Snell (3-3, 5.29 ERA) who found himself last time out shutting out the Dodgers over five innings allowing just four hits with 5-K's. Streaking Phillies have won their last two while San Diego has dropped three straight. A guy I like for who knows what reasons will start for the home team as Vince Velasquez (3-2, 4.22) takes the hill. My main man Vince is off his best performance of the season (by far) going seven innings allowing no runs on just two with 7-K's and NO walks...yep that why I like him but, inconsistency has been his trademark and I don't expect him do as well Sunday. Take SAN DIEGO! |
07-03-21 | Cardinals -107 v. Rockies | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -107 | 20 h 32 m | Show |
St. Louis at Colorado 9:10 ET Cardinals over Rockies- St. Louis is at the point where they will try 14-year veteran Wade LeBlanc who is with his 12th different team (although he was with Seattle twice). The 37 year-old lefty is 46-48 lifetime and has already been with two teams this season starting the year with the Orioles. Colorado's Kyle Freeland (1-2, 6.54) (34-34 lifetime) has not developed they way the Rockies had hoped, although both these guys give up more hits than innings pitched, I think at this time LeBlanc might be better at getting more hitters to miss. Red Birds are 23-11 as favorites and 47-20 last 60 meetings while Colorado is 19-7 at home and 8-2 at home against a left-hander. This will be a team victory for the Cardinals. Take ST. LOUIS! |
07-02-21 | Dodgers -112 v. Nationals | Top | 10-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at Washington 7:05 ET Dodgers over Nationals- Streaks are a major part of baseball over the long season and the Dodgers have won seven in-a-row while Washington is off a 14-3 run in their previous 17 games prior to last night's rain shortened 6-2 loss to L.A. The Nationals will send Max Scherzer (7-4, 2.14 ERA) to the mound and he has given up more than two runs just twice this season in 15 starts but has had poor support especially at home where he has loss his last three starts. The Dodgers will start Julio Urias (9-3, 3.95) who with that ERA and nine wins has received plenty of support when hurling. LA is 4-0 against the Nats this season and have outscored them 19-7. Oddsmakers have Scherzer an underdog at home and that speaks volumes. Take LOS ANGELES! |
07-01-21 | Padres v. Reds -115 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
San Diego at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Padres- The Padres swept a 4-game series earlier this season against the Reds in San Diego and can sweep this 3-game set and the season series in Cincinnati with a win tonight. The Padres will go with left-hander Ryan Weathers (3-2, 2.47 ERA) who will make his ninth start and 15th appearance of the season. The Reds will counter with the hottest pitcher in their rotation as Luis Castillo (3-10, 5.14) gets the call in the series finale. The right-hander finished June with a 2-2 record and a 1.71 ERA in five starts. Over five starts in the month, he was 2-2 with a 1.71 ERA. One of the losses was to the Padres in a 3-2 game on June 20. Castillo surrendered three runs (two earned) in six innings. Take the REDS! |
06-30-21 | Angels v. Yankees -125 | Top | 11-8 | Loss | -125 | 10 h 56 m | Show |
L.A. Angels at N.Y. Yankees 7:05 ET Yankees over Angles- The Yankees' bats came alive yesterday as they banged out three homers and 11 hits in their 11-5 victory over the Angels as they produced a season high for runs and hits. Today L.A. will start Shohei 'The Nippon Babe' Ohtani (3-1, 2.58 ERA) on the hill against the Bronx Bombers and his fastball averages 95.4 MPH as he makes his 12th start of the season. Ohtani will hit for himself as the MLB Home Run leader (28) will take swings for himself. New York will start Domingo German (4-5, 4.32) who has a six start winless streak working since shutting out Texas on May 20 and is 0-3 with a 6.28 ERA in his last six starts and hasn't gotten past the fifth inning in his past three starts. But, he is 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA in three career appearances against the Angels. Take NEW YORK! |
06-30-21 | Rays v. Nationals +109 | 6-15 | Win | 109 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Washington 4:05 ET Nationals over Rays- When you're HOT you're HOT and Washington's Kyle Schwarber is setting records with his Home Run production this month as he has hit 12 long balls in the past 10 games and has hit 16 in his last 18 games leading the Nationals to a 13-3 streak that has them 1-game over .500 for the first time this season since Opening Day. Washington will send veteran lefty Jon Lester (1-3, 4.99 ERA) to the mound and the question is does he have anything left in the tank after coming off his worst outing of the season against the marlins surrendering seven runs in 2.1 innings. The stumbling Rays are coming back to the pack and are 4-9 in their last 13 games overall as they are 1-7 in their last eight games after a loss and 0-7 in their last seven road games as well as 0-5 in their last five at Washington. Take the NATIONALS! |
06-29-21 | Padres -147 v. Reds | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 20 m | Show
San Diego at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Padres over Reds- The Reds are the prefect middle of the road club posting a .500 record both on the road and at home and they will send rookie Tony Santillan (1-1, 3.29 ERA) who is making his fourth career start and has logged just 13.2 innings this season. He is coming off a 104 pitch outing against the Braves where he stuck out eight in six innings while giving up one run on just three hits. His previous start was at San Diego where the Padres roughed him up four three runs in three innings handing him his first career loss as control has been his major issue walking eight in his 13 innings although he does have 16 strikeouts. Blake Snell (3-3, 5.29) is looking to regain his form and is off his best outing of the season shutting down the Dodgers in five innings allowing no runs and just four hits. Snell has 90 K's in 66 innings. The Padres have won 9-of-10 including 801 as favorites and they are 4-0 in the last four meetings versus the Reds. Cincy is just 3-7 in their last 10 and they are 4-9 at home as underdogs. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-29-21 | Mets v. Braves -152 | 4-3 | Loss | -152 | 12 h 39 m | Show
New York Mets at Atlanta 7:20 ET Braves over Mets- The Braves who were the odds-on favorites in the NL East trail the Division leading Mets by 7-games in the loss column and will send Charlie Morton (7-3, 3.68 ERA) to the mound and he threw seven shutout innings against New York a week ago in New York allowing just 1-hit is seven innings while striking out 11 Mutts. Morton is hot and hasn't allowed a run in his last two starts covering 14.2 innings giving up just four hits, no runs with 18 K's and he has won five of his last six decisions. New York's Tylor Megill (0-0, 4.15) is making his second career start receiving a no decision in start against the Braves allowing two runs in 4.1 innings averaging 21.2 pitches per inning. Take ATLANTA! |
06-29-21 | Marlins -107 v. Phillies | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 26 m | Show |
Miami at Philadelphia 7:05 ET Marlins over Phillies- One of the best kept secrets in baseball is the talents that take the mound for the Miami Marlins and one of their best is Trevor Rodgers (7-4, 2.08 ERA) whose teammates have dropped four of his last five starts although he has given up three runs once in his last 11 starts while surrendering just 62 hits in 87 innings of work this season. Philadelphia will send out Vince Velasquez (2-2, 4.74) who has himself shown signs of brilliance giving up just 47 hits in 57 innings but has allowed 10 home runs and 33 walks and average of more than 5.6 per nine innings. Marlins are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings including 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Philly. Take MIAMI! |
06-27-21 | Royals -106 v. Rangers | Top | 1-4 | Loss | -106 | 5 h 38 m | Show |
Kansas City at Texas 2:35 ET Royals over Rangers- If 'chicks really do dig the long ball' they should squirm when the Rangers' Jordan Lyles (2-5, 5.47 ERA) takes the mound. They should be in the mood soon as he has surrendered 16 home runs already this season while giving up 90 hits in just 77.1 innings. With a career record of 46-71, an ERA of 5.24 and a WHIP of 1.45 he is very hittable and that is what the Royals need right now as they are struggling having lost 15 of their last 19 games. Kansas City who has a horrendous record of only seven wins in the last 32 meetings including 16-37 at Texas. The Royals will send Brady Singer (3-5, 4.77) to the mound and he hasn't been at his best this season but he surrenders less than one homer a game and he has been throwing better of late. Take KANSAS CITY! |
06-26-21 | Braves v. Reds -112 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 51 m | Show |
Atlanta at Cincinnati 4:10 ET Reds over Braves- Interesting matchup of a pair of clubs that are struggling to keep their heads above water with the Braves who have yet to reach .500 this season at Cincinnati who is at .500 after a loss to Atlanta last night. Cincinnati will start right-hander Luis Castillo (2-10, 5.61 ERA) who is making his 16th start of the season while the Braves will send Ian Anderson (5-3, 3.33 ERA) to the hill. Castillo who has a 1st inning ERA 11.40 and 4.21 from that point and started the year 1-8 with a 7.22 ERA in his first 11 starts and is 1-2 with a 2.19 ERA in June holding opponents to a .155 average. Atlanta is just 3-7 I their last 10 road games and 2-5 after a win while going 1-5 in their last six as underdogs. The Reds meanwhile are 6-1 as favorites including 5-0 as home favorites. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-25-21 | A's -108 v. Giants | 0-2 | Loss | -108 | 13 h 53 m | Show
Oakland at San Francisco 9:45 ET A's over Giants- The best in the West square off in an inter-league play as the first place Giants host cross the bay rival Oakland with a pair of capable starters for each. San Francisco will start Johnny Cueto (5-3, 4.05 ERA) while the A's send out Sean Manaea (6-3, 3.01) to the hill. Cueto has struggled in his last three starts allowing 10 runs and 21 hits in his last 15.2 innings and has been very hittable this season allowing 68 hits in 60 innings with just 47 K's. Manaea is off a loss to the Yankees where he struck out 11 in 5.1 innings while allowing just three hits and two runs as he has surrendered just five runs in his last six starts throwing to a 1.44 ERA min his last 37.2 innings of work. They A's are 5-1 in the last six meetings and Manaea is 2-1 lifetime against SF and picks up another win here. Take OAKLAND! |
06-25-21 | Royals v. Rangers -109 | 4-9 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show
AL Power Play Kansas City at Texas 8:05 ET Rangers over Royals- In an AL battle between a pair of bottom feeders Texas will host Kansas City who has dropped 9-of-12 while the Rangers are 2-8 in their last 10 overall. The Royals will start their only starter with a winning record in lefty Mike Minor (6-4, 4.48 ERA)and he is 1-23 lifetime against the Rangers. Texas will start Dane Dunning (2-6, 4.71) who is off his worst outing of the season surrendering 10 hits in four innings against the Twins. Minor has thrown 310 pitches in his last three starts and that will weigh on him tonight. Texas is 23-7 in the last 30 meetings and are 35-16 at home against the Royals. Take the RANGERS! |
06-25-21 | Yankees -118 v. Red Sox | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -118 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
N.Y. Yankees at Boston 7:10 ET Yankees over Red Sox- The last time these two bitter rivals met the Red Sox swept a 3-game set at Yankee Stadium. But, this time around it is New York that has the 'mojo' as they have won 7-of-9 and their last three series as they are starting to hit the ball the way it has been expected. Domingo German (4-4, 4.17 ERA) gets the start for New York and he had no decision against Boston in that series holding the Red Sox to one run and three hits in 5.2 innings. Boston after a great start is beginning to come back to the pack trading water going 10-11 in their last 21 games. The Sox will start Martin Perez (5-4, 4.32) who has given up 12 runs in his last three starts covering 15 innings. Surrendering four homers. Despite the 3-game swept in NY the Red Sox are just 9-23 in the last 32 meetings including 5-1 in their last six at Fenway Park. Take the YANKEES! |
06-24-21 | Red Sox v. Rays -117 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 44 m | Show |
Boston at Tampa Bay 7:10 ET Rays over Red Sox- The Rays finally got off the snide yesterday winning 8-2 over the Red Sox ending their 7-game losing streak. Today they will try and continue a win streak by sending Michael Wacha (1-2, 5.19 ERA) to the hill as he tries to regain his past All-Star form. But, his stats say it won't happen as he surrenders more hits than innings pitched and averages only 5.5 K's per nine innings. Boston will start Nick Pivetta (6-3, 4.36) and he is 0-3 in June with an ERA of 5.66 as he has surrendered six home runs in his last three starts after allowing just three in his first 11 outings. Tampa is 14-3 in their last 17 games against division opponents. Take the RAYS! |
06-23-21 | Dodgers v. Padres -110 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 15 h 47 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at San Diego 10:10 ET Padres over Dodgers- This should be a great pitching matchup between the Dodgers Trevor Bauer (7-5, 2.45 ERA) and San Diego's Joe (No-hit) Musgrove (4-6, 2.28) a pair among the NL ERA leaders. San Diego has been outstanding at home winning 27 of 41 games including 22-6 in their last 28 and they have won six of the last seven meetings. Los Angeles is 0-5 in their last five road games as underdogs and Bauer is 1-4 lifetime against the Padres. Take SAN DIEGO! |
06-22-21 | Giants v. Angels -119 | 5-0 | Loss | -119 | 13 h 30 m | Show
San Francisco at L.A. Angeles 9:35 ET Angels over Giants- San Francisco and their starting pitcher have found new life this season as the Giants have the best record in MLB and Anthony DeSclafani (7-2, 3.01 ERA) is having a career year after posting a 37-39 career record in his six previous seasons. He has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of 14 starts while is Los Angeles will start opening day hurler in lefty Andrew Heaney (4-4, 4.45). Heaney is 3-1 with a 3.04 ERA in his last four starts including a stint against the Giants where he allowed one run in 6.1 innings. The Angels are 9-1 in their last 10 games as home favorites. Take LOS ANGELES! |
06-22-21 | Braves -106 v. Mets | Top | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
Atlanta at N.Y. Mets 7:10 ET Braves over Mets- After making a run for the NL pennant last year the Braves have yet to show the form that vaulted them into the Championship series against the Dodgers and they trail the Mets by 7-games this season. So it seem a bit off that Atlanta is made a small favorite at New York will will start Marcus Stroman (6-5, 2.34 ERA) who pitched at least six innings in eight straight starts and he is 4-0 with a 1.88 ERA in four career starts against the Braves. Atlanta will start Charlie Morton (6-3, 4.03) and he is 1-3 with a 3.52 ERA in nine starts against New York. This 'price' doesn't look right to me...take ATLANTA! |
06-22-21 | Reds v. Twins -125 | 10-7 | Loss | -125 | 4 h 2 m | Show
Cincinnati at Minnesota 1:10 ET Twins over Reds- 'We' missed out yesterday by not posting as 'our' lead play and they won without me. Minnesota has regrouped and now won their last five after falling to a season's low 15-games under .500. Cincinnati appears to be treading water at this point and are 1-game under the break-even mark and will send Wade Miley (6-4, 2.88 ERA) who pitched a no-hitter in May against the Indians and has gone 3-3 since. Minnesota will start 6-foot-9 Bailey Ober (0-0, 3.71) and in his last outing of four innings struck-out six with one hit and no walks. Minny on a roll...take the TWINS! |
06-21-21 | Indians v. Cubs -133 | Top | 4-0 | Loss | -133 | 12 h 10 m | Show |
Cleveland at Chicago Cubs 8:05 ET Cubs over Indians- What's left of the Cleveland Indians rotation is hurting and have a very unique situation with their starting rotation. The team has 39 wins and they have only three pitchers that have more than one win. With Bieber (7-4) and Plesac (4-3) on the IL it leaves just Aaron Civale (10-2, 3.48 ERA) as the three starters have accounted for 21 wins. Chicago will start Adbert Alzolay (4-5, 4.06) who is getting his first start coming off the IL and has pitched much better at home where he has a 3.40 ERA and where the Cubs have won his last four starts, Chicago splits have them 24-12 at home while the Indians are 1-4 in their last five road games. Take CUBS! |
06-20-21 | White Sox v. Astros -140 | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Houston 2:10 ET Astros over White Sox- Houston has taken the first three games of this 4-game series and have won all five games on this current home stand improving to 15-4 in their last 19 games. The white Sox are 1-10 in their last 11 games after losing the first three games of a four game series. But, winning today will be a tough assignment for the Astros as Chicago starter Dallas Keuchel (6-1, 3.78 ERA) is 5-0 in his last eight starts and has allowed just three runs in his last 19 innings. Houston will counter with Lance McCullers (3-1, 2.89) and he is 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA over his last six starts and he is 2-1 against the White Sox with a 2.22 ERA. Add that Houston is 39-15 in their last 54 games at home versus left-handed starters and are 48-19 in their last 67 against the AL central. Take the ASTROS! |
06-20-21 | Mets v. Nationals -105 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 58 m | Show
New York Mets at Washington 1:05 ET Nationals over Mets- The Mets came up with a gem when signing Taijuan Walker (6-2, 2.12 ERA) who has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of his 12 starts and has allowed just b44 hits in 68 innings. Washington will start Patrick Corbin (4-5, 5.60) who mis coming off his best showing of the season but he has surrendered four runs or more in six of his 13 starts and is 4-7 with a 4.44 ERA lifetime against New York. Despite all of this the Nationals are 6-1 in their last seven and 5-1 while hosting the Mets. Take WASHINGTON! |
06-20-21 | Indians v. Pirates -121 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -121 | 4 h 56 m | Show |
Cleveland at Pittsburgh 1:05 ET Pirates over Indians- Prior to this series start these team were headed in opposite directions as Pittsburgh had lost 10 in-a-row scoring just 22 runs while the Indians had won four straight and 10-of-14. But, things have turned since Friday as the Pirates put up 17 runs taking the two meetings. Cleveland is send left-hander Sam Hentges (1-1, 7.57 ERA) to the hill and he will face right-hander JT Brubaker (4-5, 3.88). The Indians have struggled on the road in inter-league play going 2-8 in their last 10 games and are 1-5 last six against righties. Take PITTSBURGH! |
06-19-21 | Phillies +107 v. Giants | 13-6 | Win | 107 | 8 h 58 m | Show
Philadelphia at San Francisco 4:05 ET Phillies over Giants- This is another contest where the line doesn't reflect the true advantage that the Giants have here. San Francisco who has the best record in baseball is 23-9 at home while the Phillies are 12-22 on the road and that should be a significant factor but is doesn't seem so today. San Francisco will start Alex Wood (6-3, 3.71 ERA) and he is 3-3 with a 3.36 ERA in 12 starts against the Wiz Kids. Philadelphia will send Arron Nola (5-4, 3.69) who is off 7.2 scoreless inning against the Yankees in his last start seems to have found his groove. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-19-21 | Marlins +107 v. Cubs | Top | 11-1 | Win | 107 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
Miami at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Marlins over Cubs- To start with this 'price' is way out of line when you consider that Miami is 14-25 on the road while then Cubs are 24-11 at home. Chicago is a meager -120 and it really doesn't make much sense until you look and see what the starting pitchers have done lately. Cubs starter Jake Arrieta (5-7, 5.14 ERA) is slumping and is 0-3 with a 7.47 ERA in his last four starts but, he is 8-1 with a 3.64 ERA in 12 career starts against Miami. The Marlins just ended a 4-game losing streak and will send Pablo Lopez (2-4, 3.12) to the hill and he has pitched in hard luck so far this season but things turn for him here. Take MIAMI! |
06-19-21 | A's v. Yankees -120 | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show
Oakland at New York Yankees 1:10 ET Yankees over A's- Streaks are the name of the game when it comes to baseball and the A's have plenty of them working for them. Oakland as won seven straight games and is 13-2 in their last 15 games and 19-9 on the road and are 8-0-1 in nine road series. New York has been struggling to keep their head above water as they are 17-17 at home and have dropped five straight as host and are 3-8 in their last 11 games at Yankee Stadium. The A's will start Chris Bassitt (7-2, 3.43 ERA) and he has won his last seven decisions. Domingo German (4-4, 3.88) will start for the Yanks and he has been hit hard in his last two outings which were not domestic issues. The Bronx Bombers are 5-2 against the A's at home in the last seven meetings. In a shocker...take the YANKEES! |
06-18-21 | Rays v. Mariners +102 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 102 | 11 h 15 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Seattle 10:10 ET Mariners over Rays- Michael Wacha (1-1, 4.54 ERA) gets the nod for Tampa Bay and he hasn't been shown anything in his past six MLB appearances. He has managed to throw three innings only once in his last six starts and is averaging just 2.1 innings and 32 pitches per start. Seattle will send lefty Yusei Kikuchi (3-3, 3.67) to the mound and he is off a 7-inning shutout of Cleveland and he has allowed just 54 hits in 74 innings with 75 strike outs. The Rays are 6-15 in the last 21 meetings against the Mariners including just 3-10 at Seattle. Take the MARINERS! |
06-18-21 | Phillies +115 v. Giants | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 49 m | Show
Philadelphia at San Francisco 9:45 ET Phillies over Giants- San Francisco has the best record in all of baseball and I'm still trying to figure out how they are doing it. The Giants who just took four straight from Arizona and will send veteran righty Johnny Cueto (4-3, 4.00 ERA) to the bump and he is just 1-5 with a 5.30 ERA in 12 starts lifetime against the Phillies with his lone win coming 11 years ago. Philadelphia will start Vince Velasquez (2-1, 4.25) who has recorded 57 K's in 48.2 innings and has allowed just 40 hits. Take PHILADELPHIA! |

06-16-21 | Twins -116 v. Mariners | Top | 7-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 10 m | Show |
Minnesota at Seattle 10:10 ET Twins over Mariners- I know, I know, I heard ya but I've got to back this kid Bailey Ober (0-0, 4.85 ERA) who has 15 K's in 13 innings out of Triple-A where he struck-out 100 batters while walking just nine. Don't you want to root for this kid! Why else wound this broken down bum of a team be favored on the road. Seattle starter Justin Sheffield (5-5, 4.91) has struggled in his sophomore season as he has surrendered 69 hits in 58.2 innings (not too good). I'm taking the Twins and I understand your having reservations about but just think if the kids any good we'll ride him the rest of the season and maybe some will catch life...MINNESOTA. |
