Going OVER the total here. Have to tell you the truth. I see we are getting +105 and I am a bit worried. Looks a little too easy. And you know I try to avoid the 'easy money' and low hanging fruit, especially on the bases. I not only shy away from when a team looks like it should be laying more than 110, I usually go the other way. Albeit, we do get mixed results. But there is not a chance on God's green Earth that I can think that 63 year old Bartolo Colon or however old he is (44) keeps this Dodgers offense in check. He is going to give up at least 5 runs. No way that LAD thinks this is a cake walk. Not after losing the first 2 at home to the Braves, and having their ace go down yesterday and their bullpen stud blow the lead. Forget about Colon's first start against his old team the Mets (1 run). His other 7 road games he has given up 42 runs! 42 runs in 33 innings on 58 hits. Has he found the fountain of youth? Now we add in Ryu who is off the DL. Again, you know I like fading guys making first starts off the DL. He hasn't been particular great with a 4.17 ERA at home, 4.21 on the season. Twins have some bats, and Ryu has given up 11 homers in his 7 home games. 4* Total Money OVER Twins/Dodgers

Going UNDER the total here. So I was going to start by mentioning teams or totals that almost made the cut today. But you should know that I don't put games out that I 'sorta' like. If I like 6 games, I will put out all 6. If I like 1, we get 1. Today, this is it. Archer is good pitcher and Pitt hasn't really seen him much so that is added edge. He has alternated starts giving up 2-4-2-4 runs this month. He still strikes guys out at a decent clip for me though. Pirates counter with Tailon who has been good since coming back from cancer. Cancer!! Rays have been an over team a lot, but I think we get low scoring affair tonight. They have gone under in 6 straight inter-league games. Pirates have gone under in 7 of their last 10 overall and is 11-4-1 under their last 16. 4* Total Money UNDER Rays/Pirates

Going OVER the total tonight. Just expect some runs here. Over is now 7-2 last 9 in this series. Tanaka has been, well. I have no idea what he is. He has tossed absolute gems, and has been absolutely lit up. A 6.70 ERA on the road and batters slapping him at a .313 clip. Rodon is off DL stint where he was far from looking effective. In 17 innings he gave up 20 runs in 17 innings on 21 hits. 4* Total Money OVER Yanks/Sox

Going OVER the total here in Detroit. I'll start with Kennedy who thinks that he is suppose to go 5+ and give up 4 runs every start. He has given up 4 runs in 7 of his last 8 starts. KC has gone 7-1-1 to the Over in his last 9 starts. Kennedy has a 5.23 road ERA in a starts. Yet, somehow, he sports a road BA against of .189! But when you are walking 18 batters and giving up a HR in every start, those free passes hurt. Royals as a team are 8-2-1 Over their last 11. Norris brings a home ERA of 5 to the mound tonight as opposing hitters are raking him at a .304 clip. Another guy who likes to go 5 plus and hand things over to a crappy bullpen. Norris has gone over in 4 of his last 5 start vs KC and the series has gone over in 6 of the last 8. 4* Total Money OVER Royals/Tigers

First off, a terrible day to close the week. We get 8 runs in 4 innings in the Nats game and can't get over. We get 7 runs in 4 innings in the Braves game and can't get an over. Padres, Pirates and Royals let us down. Salvaged some bankroll with the A's RL and big dog Rangers That being said, we are back on the OVER in these Cincinnati games. Finnegan is fresh off a DL stint and we know the Reds bullpen can give up a run or two. Reds broke out for a little offense to salvage a game in Washington. STL exploded against the Pirates late to put some runs last night. This Cards team has been up and down all year. Wacha hasn't gotten out of the 5th inning in 5 of his last 6 starts. He has been better (3.50 ERA) at home, as opposed to the road (7.03). Still think we see runs tonight. Both teams have gone over in 7 of their last 10. Wacha has gone 5-1 over in his last 6 home starts vs Cincy and the over is 5-2-1 last 8 in the series. 4* Total Money OVER

Carrasco has gone under in 9 of his last 12. Quintana also has gone under in 5 of his last 6 here in Cleveland and 8 of 10 vs the Indians overall. Carrasco is 5-2-1 under in his last 8 starts vs the Sox. Quintana is 7-4 2.84 in 18 starts (20games) vs Indians. We'll close out knowing that Carrasco is 4-9 4.89 in 19 career games vs Sox and 3-7 in his last 10 starts vs Chicago. 4* Total Money UNDER Sox/Indians

That goes with his .308 BA against so we know the Angels will be getting some good looks. He is 0-2 at home in 4 starts with a 3.97 ERA. Think we some offense this afternoon. 4* Total Money OVER

Going OVER the total in Game 2. Had the Cavs and Over in Game 1.. Will have Cavs, points + ML as a Free Play tonight. GS did their job scoring, but Cleveland was little lack-luster. Defending jobs will come out strong tonight. This isn't some fluke team. They have the best player on the court. Not a chance they come out flat tonight. A lot of attacking the basket on both sides. Going OVER the total here. Arroyo and his 6.75 ERA come into Philly where the 10-4-2 OVER their last 16 (not counting last night). Not that I ever had the talent of this 40 year old, but come on Bronson, you are throwing mid 80s fastballs to MLBers. Not going to be pretty. He has a road ERA of 8.05 in 4 starts. .313 BAA and a WHIP of 1.84 - The series has gone 15-5-1 over last 21 in Philly. Again. I am writing this prior to the Friday game so the trend is going to be wrong. Eickhoff has a mid 4 ERA at home and doesn't do anything fancy. He is going to give up hits and runs. He has give up at least 4 runs in 4 of his last 5 starts. Phillies have gone over in 4 of his last 5, while the Reds have gone over in 6 of Arroyo's last 7 road games. 4* Total Money OVER Reds/Phillies

He has a 5.30 road ERA and a WHIP of 1.98 with hitters slapping him at a .329 clip. Sox on a 9-4-2 over run. Pelfrey couldn't get out of the 5th back in April vs the Tigers. Going OVER the total here. Friers has given up 17 HRs already this year in just 42 innings. That is an epic pace! He has pitched to a better ERA at home, 3.50, than on the road, 6.38 - That being said, I think he still gives up 4-5 runs tonight. Not that I am huge sabermetrics type capper. I like my WHIP and BAA, but in the case of Friers, I have to note his extremely high FIP. It is off the charts bad. And let's not sell Verlander short. Clearly the mileage is taking its toll on his arm. He had a great year last year, but is slow out of the gate. He was limited the year before, so maybe we are seeing some arm fatigue early. We know that the Astros can hit. And giving free passes will help us get some more runs on the board tonight. Verlander is half-way home to last years walk total. Final thought at we toss in some Verlander road splits. How about 2-3 in 5 starts with an ERA of 7.24 - A 1.79 WHIP adds to my thinking we see a 5-5 game by the 4th. 5* Best Bet OVER Tigers/Astros

Going OVER the total here. Will probably have to ride this over all series long. The Mets have gone under just 6 times this year. And 2 of those just missed a push on the total. The series has gone over 4 straight and 6 of the last 7. Mets are 12-3-1 OVER their last 16 on the road. NY has gone 4-0-2 over in Wheeler's last 6 starts. Arizona is on a 7-1 over run in Godley's last 8 starts, including 5-1 his last 6 at home. 4* Total Money OVER Mets/DBacks

Going OVER the total here. Pens are coming out firing away tonight. They obviously were in a little bit of a bad spot off that big Game 7 win over the Caps. Now I didn't play anything in Game 1 of this series since I wasn't sure how Pitt would come out. Well. They were flat. I expect an uptick in scoring tonight. Senators also missed some spots in Game 1. They could have lit the lamp for at least another goal, possibly 2. Won't be shocked to see a 4-3 game here. 4* Total Money OVER Sens/Pens

Going UNDER the total here. Indians have gone under in 8 of 10. Tribe with trouble scoring all season. Even though TB has gone over of late, this is still a bad hitting club. Archer has been shelled in the past vs Cleveland (5.14 ERA) - But I think that coming in rolling (1.69 ERA L3 starts) that helps us a bit. 4 earned in 24 innings 27Ks are nice numbers. This series has also gone under in 5 of the last 6. Carrasco is win-less at home in 3 starts all the while posting a 2.49 ERA with a WHIP of .88 and .189 BA against. Safe to say he isn't the problem Indians have gone under in 8 straight of his starts. 4* Total Money UNDER Rays/Tribe

Going OVER the total here. +130? This is obviously a big sucker play to lure me in. Has anyone seen the goals allowed each game in this series? 8-7-7-9-3-8 . I'm no rocket scientist, but I am pretty the outlier here is that only 3 goals were scored in Game 2. I know in Game 7s we should be stressing defense. But neither team seems intent on that. Would be really shocked if this game wasn't 3-3 by the end of 2. 4* Total Money OVER Oilers/Ducks

Going OVER the total here. Now normally in Game 7s I am looking at unders and defense. But these clubs have been scoring all series and I don't think it changes tonight, even in an all or nothing Game 7. These guys play their games. And that generates offense. Neither team is throwing out their playbook to play safe, worry free, limit mistake hockey. They are playing to their strengths that got them here in the first place. 4* Total Money OVER Pens/Caps

Going OVER the total here. We are already on the Pens, and I think we will see some goals here. Won't be shocked to see a 4-3 type game. Caps are absolutely desperate here. They will come out firing. Pens, as I said in their write up, have caught plenty of breaks. Or the breaks just haven't gone Washington's way. Either way, Pens getting a nice number with house money. Both teams can score. Maybe we get a nice sweep. Worse case, we split and don't lose a penny. 4* Total Money OVER Pens/Caps

Going UNDER the total here. Maybe you can find an 8.5 around, but either way, I like the under. Neither team hitting much as Cleveland has gone under in 8 of 10 and 13 of 16. KC has gone under in 4 of 5 and 5 of 10. But before that brief run of overs, they had gone under in 10 straight. Vargas putting together a nice start with a 1.42 ERA and .98 WHIP allowing only 5 walks (29Ks) in nearly 32 innings. Tomlin hasn't been anything special in 2017, but has is 3-0-1 to the under in his last 4 starts vs KC. 4* Total Money UNDER Indians/Royals

One write for the NHL Playoffs tonight. First up. UNDERS. Going UNDER in both. Somehow the Sens and NYR tallied up 11 goals. Not sure how they volleyed off that man shots past the net-minders, but I think we see more defense here on Tuesday. Down, 0-2, NYR has to play tough on D, and not make any mistakes. As for the Blues series. Almost the same thinking applies. STL trying to pull even at 2 games apiece. They need to steal one here, and I think they can pull off a 2-0 win if they can catch some breaks. 4* Total Money UNDERS So I will be backing the SENATORS. I know we had the Caps in desperation mode last night. And the Rangers are in the same boat. I just think with this price, we have to take the value on Ottawa. NYR had been playing better on the road all year than at home Maybe they have some of that 1st round magic saved up. But I am not going to be shocked in the least when they are down 0-3. 4* OTTAWA SENATORS Grabbing the BLUES here. This is probably the weekend of my 4 hockey tonight, but again, if you followed me at all this year, you know there is zero chance I am laying -170. Not in hockey. Not in baseball. Not anywhere. Strictly a value play for me. STL down 2-1 in the series. Need to pull even or face a near impossible 3-1 hole to climb out of. 4* STL BLUES

Going UNDER the total here. Both these guys have been pitching pretty good lately. Pirates offense is very shaky. And I know first hand with my loss on the Marlins yesterday, that even though they have some hitters, doesn't mean we generate runs every day. Taillon has a 3.12 road ERA for his 9 career starts. Conley has given up more that 1 run exactly once on the year. 3 to the Mets. Pittsburgh has gone under in 8 of 9 road games this year. Marlins first day back after a 9 game, 12 day road trip. They will be happy sleeping in their own beds for the first time in 2 weeks! 4* Total Money UNDER Pirates/Marlins

Going OVER the total here. Not sure how I missed this one yesterday. Guess I was blinded by Reds starter Garrett, who I thought would be on the other side of an 11-7 game. Run line loser on Cincy by me, but I am ready to redeem myself tonight. Reds have gone over in 7 of their last 10, Brewers in 8 of theirs. Total has now gone 9-2-1 over the least 12 in Milwaukee. Davies has gone over in 4 of his 5 starts vs the Reds. And speaking of Zach, he has allowed 29 hits in 19 inning and a .345 BA against doesn't help his 8.24 ERA. Feldman has been great so far. But I expect some regression. Especially with the way the Brewers are hitting. 4* Total Money OVER Reds/Brewers

Going OVER the total here. Wow. What is this an AARP meeting on the mound this afternoon? Lackey 38, Arroyo 40. A combined 9 HRs already allowed by these two veterans. Lackey has been hit hard so far in his 3 starts. And Arroyo I don't think has hit 89 on the gun. Which makes sense since his ERA is close to 9. A lot of good hitters taking swings today. With some thumpers in both lineups. Could be a sucker play. But I'm in regardless. 4* Total Money OVER Cubs/Reds

Going OVER the total here. Just looking at these retread arms I have to think we see a 4-4 game by the top of the 5th. Milone and Feldman? Milone was never a K guy, and if you are pitching to contact in Cincy, balls can easily be clearing outfield walls in a hurry. Feldman won 17 games in 2009. Or 3 less than he has won the last 3 years combined (7,5,8) Guy has hit double digit wins twice in his career (12-12 2013). Going UNDER the total tonight. I have to say, some days I love the card, others, not so much. Was leaning a bit towards the Dodgers and Mariners. But after careful thought, we will officially move on the Sunday Night total. I don't think the Syndergaard blister is all that worrisome. The guy is going to come out here throwing darts. Even at 80%, hitters will be hard pressed to score. Thor gave up more than 4 runs only twice last year. Kid is a beast. Volquez is off a nice start. Allowed no runs at Washington on opening day. The guy is a professional. He isn't cute or sexy. But he can pitch. And these Mets hitters are having a hard time right now putting the ball in play. In the back of my head I hear the old, no way the Mets get swept. So I can see how it might be tempting to back Miami. But this NY team is a veteran crew. I can see them circling the wagons, even here during the first week of the season. You are 2-3 playing 2 teams that you are suppose to be at least 4-1 against. I see this shaping up to be 4-1, 5-0 type of game. I doubt the Marlins score more than 2.I backed off Seattle as a play for the same reason I like the under here. I just don't see every bat coming alive to spark something huge. 4* Total Money UNDER Marlins/Mets
