The Kings have outscored the Coyotes this year 13-9 in the 4 times they have played and are 3-1 against them this year. Combine that with the Kings have 3 of 4 and are getting close to finishing up their road trip as this is the last leg on what's been a productive road trip for them, I look for them to have a solid outing tonight. Phoenix has lost its last 8 of 10 contests to boot and with the Kings having a +15 in Goal differential while the Coyotes are minus 7 that should make a difference as well. Phoenix has lost their No. 1 Goalie in Mike Smith due to a head injury and are just 1-5 with Jason LaBarbera in Goal. The Kings are 19-7 when they face a team with a losing record and the Coyotes are 1-8 in their last 9 contests facing the Western Conference. PLAY ON THE LA KINGS! 5* NHL ICEMAN GAME OF THE WEEK!

The home team has been the winner in Calgary's last sixteen games! So, tonight it's advantage Flames, who host Colorado at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Thankfully for Calgary, there is such a thing as home-ice edge at the Saddledome, because they've lost ten straight on the road. Better yet for the Flames is the fact the visiting Avs are mirror-images, losing almost every one of their games on the road (0-6-3 last nine). Expect some production from Flames winger Curtis Glencross, who has gone back-to-back games without a point after amassing eight in five contests. Mostly, however, we're simply going to play the well-defined home trend in Calgary games and simply go against Colorado on the road. These angles that have paid off handsomely in recent weeks. 5*

Columbus looks to do well at home today against Calgary a team they lost to in extra time 4-3 earlier this year. This is a big revenge game for Columbus. They have played well over the last couple games and look to make it 3 straight victories today. Columbus has won 7 of their last 9 and the changes they have made this off-season are making dividends now.
Look for Columbus to seek revenge whereas Calgary is looking forward to returning home as this is the last game of their road trip prior to heading back. The Blue Jackets are 5-0 when facing teams with a winning percentage of less than 40% on the road and the Blue Jackets are 6-2 in their last 8 home games overall. 5* NHL ICEMAN GAME OF THE MONTH!

The Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils have played together just once this season, and the Habs came away with the 4-3 win at home on January 27th. Montreal is 18-5-4 this year, and 9-2-2 on the road. The Devils come in with weary legs and continue to struggle with consistency, while the Habs resume their balanced play at both ends of the ice (note that Montreal has scored at least three goals in eight straight games). Great line value here and the better team are the Canadiens. 5*

Pitt has played well doing the bounce-back role on the Ice this year and today should be no different. This is a team that is 8-3 away from home and as they come off giving 6 goals to Florida on the road losing 4-6, look for them to bounce-back here as they have not lost back to back games over the last 7 contests. Carolina has struggled of late losing its 4 out of its last 4 contests, including having a tough road trip getting shutout 0-3 at Washington. Pitt has beaten Carolina the last 3 times they have hooked up and the Penguins are 6-2 in their last 8 road games and 8-2 as they come off 1 days rest. I like Pitt here given that they come off giving 6 goals which is a far cry for a team that has much higher expectations of itself especially on the defensive end.

Jets goalie Pavelec has lost 10 of 11 starts versus Pittsburgh, with the lone win coming in the teams' first meeting last season. He went on to lose the next three, posting a 6.68 GAA. As the Pittsburgh Penguins look to bounce back from their first defeat, I expect this veteran team to be ready tonight. Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby and the Penguins hope to continue their success in this series and on the road this season while extending the Jets' struggles at home Friday night. Pittsburgh (2-1-0) outscored Philadelphia and the New York Rangers 9-4 to win its first two games -- both on the road. Malkin, who led the NHL with 109 points last season and scored 23 goals while playing in Russia during the lockout is in great shape and ready to play. Pittsburgh had won four in a row and 12 of 13 against the former Atlanta Thrashers before losing 2-1 without Malkin and Crosby on Oct. 17, 2011 -- the Jets' first home victory in Winnipeg. Since then, the Penguins have outscored them 20-10 to win the last three meetings. Marc-Andre Fleury, whose five goals allowed Wednesday matched his worst from all of last season, is 12-2-0 with a 2.06 goals-against average in his last 14 meetings with the Jets franchise and was pissed about his performance in his last game. Look for a HUGE effort tonight and we'll take advantage with the PENGUINS on Friday night. 5* NHL Game of the Week

The Spurs had won 20 in a row in basketball and then they were an underdog on Thursday and they lost.
Now the LA Kings have won 9 in a row on the road in the playoffs and getting way too much credit and hype. There's also talk that the Kings will run the table and win the Cup without losing another game.
Keep in mind that the Devils won both regular season meetings. New Jersey has been at its very best when trailing in these playoffs as the Devils are a perfect 5-0 in that situation this postseason. NJ is a very good bounce back team. Look for the Devils to even up the series on Saturday night. 5*

The Flyers have their backs against the wall and they'll take care of business tonight. The Flyers are 2nd in the NHL in goals scored and 6th on the power play, so there is plenty of offensive punch and I like them at home tonight. The Devils are 5-11 in their last 16 playoff games as an underdog so play the FLYERS tonight. 4*

This series has seen the teams alternate victories. After the Rangers won the opener, the Capitals won the second and the same in games 3 and 4. Now its the NY Rangers turn to grab a win. With the series tied 2-2, I look for the pattern to continue and for the Rangers to hold serve for this very important Game 5. New York captain Ryan Callahan had this to say of tonight's game: "We have to win it. It's a big game, especially coming back home. We have to make sure we concentrate on our start, take the crowd's energy and make sure that our first 10 minutes are there. The Rangers are a very good home team and with this critical game 5 I look for the RANGERS TO GET A BIG WIN HERE. 5* PLAYOFFS GAME OF THE YEAR
