Sports Watch Monitor Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends

For Thursday in the NHL, we have three betting odds favorites which have turned around to underdogs; however, two involved backup goalies being announced to start between the pipes, thus we will cover the lone one which will not. A couple more obscure college basketball games have caught the eye of those making sports picks and I’ll break them down along with the one NBA contest with line movement. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (362-300 L119D)

NBA – (501) MILWAUKEE at (502) ORLANDO  7:05 ET  FS-WI, FS-FL

One change that has happened in the world is many people today have little sense of history and are only interested in current events which could changes their lives. That must be who is making NBA picks for this matchup. Milwaukee last won in Orlando, Dec. 29th 2004 and they are 0-14 (4-10 ATS) as tourists since. Yet the Magic are 2-12 (6-8 ATS) since Dec. 30th and are on a six-game losing streak. The sportsbooks sent the Bucks out at -3 and they are now at -4.5. Milwaukee lost here back in November 101-85 and is 12-3 ATS in road games revenging a loss were opponent scored 100 or more points.  SWM Take Lean Milwaukee

CBB – (537) GEORGIA STATE at (538) UT- ARLINGTON 8:15 ET

These two Sun Belt squads are tied for second place in the conference; nevertheless, the money is flowing towards the visitor. Georgia State is up two points to -5 and one can only imagine this is ‘wise guy’ money since whom else besides them or detailed college basketball handicappers are looking at this conflict. Georgia State can match UT-Arlington in score prevention (39.8% vs. 39.5% in field goal defense), but the difference comes in the Panthers shoot 48.9 percent from the field and even 47% on the road. Where bettors can get squeamish with this larger number is Georgia State is 1-8 ATS in true road games. SWM Take Lean UT-Arlington

CBB – (581) TENNESSEE TECH at (582) TENNESSEE STATE  8:00 ET

Tennessee State is a miserable 3-18 on the season and is 0-6 in Ohio Valley action. Thus, seeing the Tigers moved from +5.5 to +7.5 would not catch anyone off guard. Yet, this is not as simple as it appears because Tennessee Tech is just 2-6 in 2015 (3-4-1 ATS) and 1-9 SU in away outings this campaign. Though the home team would have a hard time hitting a tank with a bazooka from five feet as noted by the team field goal percentage (39.3), the Tigers have covered four in a row and are 10-2 ATS after two OVC losses since last season. SWM Take Slight lean Tennessee State

NHL – (71) ANAHEIM at (72) SAN JOSE  10:05 ET  NBCSN

San Jose has defeated Anaheim six straight times at the ‘Shark Tank’, but those working the NHL odds are not convinced it will be a lucky seventh. The Sharks were sent out at -115 on the money line but have washed ashore as +100 underdogs. What has precipitated the change is Anaheim has won six in a row and eight of nine. San Jose is also only 12-11 on home ice this season and the Ducks are a mighty 24-7 when riding a four-game unbeaten streak. SWM Take Lean San Jose
