The full complement of sports on a Thursday with updated news in the NFL and three line moves in the other sports. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (285-228 L89D)

NFL – (301) ARIZONA at (302) ST. LOUIS  8:25 ET  NFLN  (side and total)

The St. Louis Rams are one of those teams nobody wants to face at this point, having won four of six and posting a 5-1 ATS record. Football bettors are riding the Rams and have bumped them from -2.5 to -3.5, really liking how they are playing and it does not hurt they are 10-2 ATS vs. teams averaging seven or more yards per pass attempt. Off two Rams shutouts, the total sunk from 41 to 39.5. Update – As of last evening the Rams had charged to -4.5 and has been swinging back and forth between that number and -4. The total did rise back to 40.5. Earlier today, 57 percent were backing St. Louis and 62 percent were on the UNDER.  SWM Take – St. Louis covers and Under

NBA – (703) HOUSTON at (704) SACRAMENTO 10:35 ET  TNT (side and total)

There is one major factor in the Sacramento being flipped from -1 to +1 underdog. The Kings really miss center DeMarcus Cousins who is out with viral meningitis and Sac-Town is 2-5 and 1-5-1 ATS in his absence. Dwight Howard has also been out of the lineup with a knee strain, but has better teammates and Houston is 7-3 (5-5 ATS) without their starting center in the lineup. The total has also sunk from 198 to 196 which would seem to favor the Rockets who are 10-2 UNDER as favorites this season, winning these games by 8.5 PPG. SWM Take – Leans Houston and Under

CBB – (519) EASTERN WASHINGTON at (520) SAN FRANCISCO 10:00 ET

Eastern Washington is 7-1 but has only played two lined games, losing at SMU 77-68 as 15-point underdogs, but two days later pulled off a notable 88-86 upset against Indiana in Bloomington, on the receiving end of 12.5 points. San Francisco is 5-3 and is 2-3 when point spreads are used. The betting public has taken the Dons from -3 to -4.5; with the belief San Francisco’s stronger frontline will be the difference. However, if Venky Jois (21.9 PPG, 8.1 RPG) starts rolling, the EWU can win this contest. One reason to prefer USF they are 11-3 ATS at home versus teams making 45% or more of their shots the last three seasons, but if the game is close, San Fran shoots 57.5 percent from the free throw line. SWM Take – Slight lean Eastern Washington

NHL – (17) NASHVILLE at (18) ARIZONA 11:00 ET

Nashville has been lowered from -160 to -150 on the money line and it is hard to understand why. Arizona has lost seven straight home games and is just 2-8 in their last 10 contests. The Predators have won seven of 10 and lead the league in fewest goals allowed. Only four teams in the NHL have scored fewer goals than the Coyotes and the Yotes are 26th in goals allowed. In looking for any reason, Arizona has won five in a row over the Preds on home ice which includes three postseason affairs. SWM Take – Nashville wins
