Sports Watch Monitor Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends

Here are the biggest line moves in the NFL and the World Series, along with top trends from the active sports today. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (209-161 L67D)

NFL – (453) JACKSONVILLE at (454) CINCINNATI 1:00 ET  CBS

Cincinnati got a much needed victory over Baltimore to stop the negative momentum. Yet NFL bettors are not sure the Bengals are completely right and lacked belief they could cover -13 against Jacksonville and lowered them to -11. The Jaguars defense has played quite well of late and 14 of the 27 points given up to Miami last week were on two Pick 6’s by Blake Bortles. Betting Trend – 62 percent backing Jacksonville

NFL – (459) PHILADELPHIA at (460) HOUSTON 1:00 ET  FOX

Both Nick Foles and Ryan Fitzpatrick are turnover-prone quarterbacks this season (Fitzpatrick for his career) and that is the wild card element when trying to figure totals. Do miscues add points or will they starve scoring chances in the red zone? The thought here is the latter, with the total dropped two points to 48. Our information runs both ways on this, making for a tough call. Betting Trend – 65 percent backing the Over

NFL – (469) OAKLAND at (470) SEATTLE 4:25 ET  CBS

Despite Oakland being 31st in points scored in the NFL at 15 a game, the total has been lifted from 41.5 to 43. The rationale has to be the Seattle offense will find a better rhythm at home where they have averaged 28.3 PPG. However, you still also have to realize the Raiders are 12-3 UNDER away after a game with a turnover margin of -3 or worse, with the average total score 36.8 PPG. Betting Trend – 85 percent backing the Over

NFL – (471) BALTIMORE at (472) PITTSBURGH 8:30 ET  NBC

The total on this AFC North confrontation has exploded from 44 to 48. No question Pittsburgh’s offensive fireworks the last two weeks are a direct influence on the shift. However, a quick check back to 1994 finds this is the highest total in this series since last year’s 44 points (it went Under) and given how these teams play each other, not sure the number is accurate. Betting Trend – Curious, 74 percent backing the Under

NFL – Monday (473) INDIANAPOLIS at (474) N.Y. GIANTS  8:25 ET  ESPN

With the New York Giants off, not really certain they had much influence in the total being elevated from 49.5 to 51. Yet I am quite certain the Colts defense and Andrew Luck continued efforts had a direct impact on the number change. Keep in mind the Giants are 10-2 UNDER playing against a team with a winning record the last three seasons. Betting Trend – 64 percent backing the Over

MLB – (913) SAN FRANCISCO at (914) KANSAS CITY 8:05 ET  FOX

The baseball season will conclude tonight and while it is exciting to have a Game 7, yet it has not been what you would call a compelling series with all but one game decided by five runs or more. Off the Royals blowout 10-0 wipeout in Game 6, bettors are aligning with Kansas City to clinch the World Series (88 percent) for the first time in 29 years, going from -125 to -146 at last look. This especially makes sense when you know K.C. is a perfect 10-0 this season after scoring nine or runs. SWM Take – Kansas City wins
