Sports Watch Monitor Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends

It is the final day of the regular season in the NBA, but many of the lines are hard to gauge, thus we focused on the one line move in which there was a flip. In baseball, there were several alterations, including Arizona rising 20 cents as favorites this afternoon despite their 4-13 record. The Stanley Cup playoffs commence and while Pittsburgh has tumbled 30 cents, they are still almost 2-to-1 favorites. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. The Line Moves will return on Friday.

NBA – (521) CHICAGO at (922) CHARLOTTE  7:05 E  CSN-C, SS

Those betting basketball are anticipating Charlotte has more to play for than Chicago and switched the Bobcats from +1 to -1. The Bulls have closed the season 8-1 (7-2 ATS) and are one of the hottest teams in the NBA at the moment. Charlotte is no slouch at 7-1 (5-3 ATS), but, Chicago has won five straight in this series and 10 of 11 (6-4-1 ATS). This is not a simple selection and it would make sense to wait until this afternoon to find out if either team will be resting players. SWM TakeSlight lean Chicago

MLB – (919) SEATTLE at (920) TEXAS  8:05 E  ROOT-NW, FSSW

In one of the best early season pitching matchups, the baseball betting public prefers the visitor. How good have the two aces from each team been, Felix Hernandez (3-0, 2.11 ERA) has yet to lose a game for the Seattle this season and is trying to become the first Mariners pitcher to begin 4-0 in 18 years. Yu Darvish (1-0, 0.00), meanwhile, hasn’t allowed a run in 15 innings for the Texas. The Rangers were released at -140 and have fallen to -120 or less on the money line. Because King Felix is 12-20 in his career against Texas, we would have to like the Rangers in their own ballpark. SWM TakeTexas wins

MLB – (927) OAKLAND at (928) L.A. ANGELS  10:05 E  CSN-CA, FSW

If there is takeaway from the first two games in this series, it would be Oakland is a more clutch team at crunch time. The A’s scored two in the ninth in the opener to win 3-2 and last evening overcame a 6-3 deficit, gave away a 9-6 lead, yet still won in extra innings. Oakland has now won eight of nine, including the last four and has gone from a +120 underdog to -103. The green and yellow clad Athletics are 9-2 off four straight wins AL West victories the last three seasons and are a convincing 14-7 at the Big A in Anaheim since 2012. SWM Take – Oakland wins

NHL – (55) DALLAS at (56) ANAHEIM  10:05 E  NBCSN

This is Dallas’ first visit to the postseason in five years and they could give Anaheim fits. The Ducks might be playing a rookie goaltender between the pipes and the Stars have the speed and front line talent to make a serious run at Anaheim. The Ducks opened at -180 and fell to -160, having lost the season series 2-1. While it is the postseason, Anaheim is still 9-1 revenging a home loss. SWM Take – Anaheim wins
